Girl and Boy growing up, knew each other and she remembers him still. Now that she is old enough she is able to follow him and try to rekindle what they had as kids. He however is in a haze of rock music, groupies and drugs. She wants to become a musician and do what the band does but she isn’t into the drugs and groupies. This story will keep you wanting more. You will keep turning pages simply because you are just waiting on him to remember and for them to find that “HEA” that you are so desperately rooting for. Hang in there. The ending may surprise you.
The Love on Tap series has had me enthralled, delighted and in fits of laughter and Stout of My League may just be the icing on the top of them all. Make sure to read them in order as Sylvie incorporates some spoilers from the first three books. I have no idea where Sylvie gets her book titles from, but I love them. In this small-town forbidden romance, there is Joey who is as warm as he is sweet. He’s just withholding the truth just for now he will tell her. That is just asking for disaster if you ask me. With four older brothers who don’t mind meddling in her life & going overboard whenever a man comes near her, Lynn is at her wits end. Can you divorce siblings? And the fun begins. It is funny, with wonderful characters, with witty banter, mayhem and madness, romance and did I mention sexy too boot. Its enchanting, engaging, delightful, interesting and its enticing. I must add that the cover pops too. I like it. I look forward to seeing what Sylvie has in store for us next.

Whilst I enjoyed the first book, I found I liked this one a little more, but I found I had a few unanswered questions as this book finished. I am hoping that David reveals all in the third book though. Being the second book in The House on the Hill series David continues with the fear and creep factor, the tension, the drama, the suspense and the psychological thrills. There are some characters you will love and others you will love to hate. There is more creepiness, more horror and more strange things happening in the town. Beware the eeriness pulls you in but having you wanting to keep your distance at the same time. The story travels slowly at first but then bam! picks up further along. Something is out there, and it may just be darker than the night sky. The only way to find out is to read it yourself. It almost reminds me of the stories in the TV series of old The Twilight Zone. If you like psychological thrillers, then give it a go. I wonder what book three brings.

What a fun Cozy Mystery! I loved this cozy mystery from the start. I read this all in one sitting. I loved everything about this book. I really enjoyed the fun cast of characters. The mystery was a bit complex and kept me guessing. There was so many pieces to the puzzle it was certainly entertaining. I couldn’t put it down and ended up spending my day cozied up to this book. A must read for cozy mystery fans, especially if you love Agatha Christie.

This cozy mystery has talking cats well she can talk to one human. But the news to tell sure isn’t good. It’s a murder right in their beloved adventure park. Leaving nothing to chance they decide to act. They gather pieces together to bring down a killer to prove their friends and not the furry four-legged kind’s innocence. Journey along as they try to figure out who had the motivation and opportunity to commit the deadly deed. This cute tale takes you on an adventure of the kind you have not read before. I enjoy reading K.L.’s tales they are fun, a little quirky, a little dangerous but they always make me laugh.

Murder ala Christie is the first book in the Golden Age of Mystery book club. There are a lot of characters in this book, but the author did a good job of developing them and I was able to mostly keep them straight. The theme follows a book club, where the members start dropping like flies. The leader of the club is English professor Lexie Driscoll, who takes it upon herself to help investigate the murders. I liked the main character and look forward to reading the next book in the series. I want to see what happens with Lexie and Alistar and Detective Donovan. It wrapped up nicely and maintained the mystery until the end. I don’t have any knowledge or experience with Agatha Christie books, so can’t speak to the accuracy of the comparisons to her books.

A Patriot’s Tale by Nicole Pierman . This is a wonderful historical story about the Revolutionary War in South Carolina. The story follows Lily Thompson who is set to join the Militia because her family has been killed and she wants revenge on the Red Coats. Lily is so head strong and really shows what women were capable of back in the day. We see the horrors of war and even the way many women contributed to the war among the battlefields even. Fighting for their freedom men and women have to endure many things and its not pretty in the least. Lily finds love, loses loves and suffers PTSD from the loss of her family. Trying to fit into a male world and fight like a man is even harder but she tries her best. This book is written so well that I felt like I was in South Carolina during the Revolutionary War. Its a young adult novel but don’t let that stop you because it was a wonderful read!

The Book of Fears: A Collection of Short Stories by K. S. Gantt. This is an amazing book of Psychological Thriller short stories! There are several trigger warnings but they are warned ahead of time and they don’t go in too deep. I enjoy getting the pants scared off of me so this was right up my alley. They are not in your face scary but this could really happen scary, which to me is even worse! There are fears mentioned quite a bit in these stories such as the fear of needles and the fear of snakes which is my #1 fear! I thought I had snakes in my bed all night. There are twists, turns, mysteries and things that go bump in the night and its your choice if you want to face it or not! Read this fun collection to get the hairs on your neck to stand up. I loved it!

Just Ducky is the first book in the Weird Shifters series by C.A. King. I have read a few books from this author so I knew right away I had to read this one as well! I love her writing style. The character building and world building are on point. This was such an original take on the normal paranormal books I’ve read before. Danger, adventure, romance, and some unique shifters, this book has it all. I had a very hard time putting it down! Looking forward to reading the next book.

A gripping American Revolutionary War novel which had me hooked throughout. It is set in South Carolina, during 1778 as the war rages on. We are introduced to the strongly determined and independent Lily Thompson, who is not going to let the fact that she’s a girl, stop her from joining the fight against the British. Lily takes on the guise of a man and joins a raid against the British army only to be captured and held for ransom. Following her release Lily takes advantage of the British captain’s growing infatuation, seeing it as a weakness. She joins a local spy ring in order to help the militia’s overthrow him, but this means Lily having to play a dangerous game of intrigue. The author does a great job of setting both time and place, and the descriptive narrative and added historical details transport the reader back in time. I felt immersed in the story and engaged with the characters, especially Lily as I felt invested in her journey.

A Patriot’s Tale is a Historical Fiction by Nicole Pierman. We follow Lily Thompson as she searches for a family to make her their ward so that she may join the rebels during the Revolutionary War. Lily meets the Turner family and they set out to Bamburgh to join the rebels. This was an adventurous story with many great details about the war and battles. I liked the variety of characters given to us. Lily is a character who makes a great effort to protect the ones she cares for. I greatly enjoyed the Turner children. Mary and Eric, in particular, were delightful. The story would have benefited from more even writing and doing more showing than telling. This story is fun for those who enjoy determined female leads and historical fiction.

This is a book by an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by them. I enjoy their writing style that brings their characters to life on every page. Their attention to details make their story realistic and hard to put down. This book is no different. It is a well written story that is a cozy mystery that takes place at an amusement park. What will happen when one custodian is found dead and another is at the top of the suspect list? Will Cat and her furry friends find the killer and clear her name? I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the start by the characters. They are connectable, fun and just added to the entertainment of the story. They have great growth throughout which made the story easy to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down mystery and one you don’t want to miss. I enjoy this author and their books. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed reading this thriller. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their ability to pull me into the character’s world from the start. Their twists and turns had me turning pages fast. They are connectable, strong and made the story easy to read. This is a well written story about New Haven and how the town mourns their dead but also it has its secrets. As new hope comes to light but so do secrets. The story is suspenseful and one you don’t want to miss. There is great growth throughout which makes the story hard to put down and fast paced. The characters pull you into their world with ease and keep you turning pages to the end. I really enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.

This is book two of the series. I did not read book one but do not feel like I missed anything. I enjoyed this book alot. I do feel it was very slow but enjoyable. Shayna an Burke’s friendship turns into a wonderful romance that they both needed. Burke is amazing with her three kids, no one expected an just shows you that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Hailey has put her heart and soul into her B&B as she works through her own traumatic past. This has left no time for finding love. However, when a rockstar comes to her establishment, and soothes her out of a panic attack, the two realize that there is a spark of something there.
They both are dealing with trauma and this creates a bond built on helping each other heal. Add in a best friend, her best friend’s husband, and some bandmates…and there are enough twists and turns to keep things exciting.
I enjoyed the growth and healing of both characters. All the secondary characters kept things interesting. This is the first book that I have read from this author…but it won’t be the last.

This book is so cute!! My kids and I thought that it was adorable. The illustrations are so cute and super fun. Great counting book for younger kids (toddler and preschool age). You can have your kids search and find all the starfish along the way as you read. There are also some great facts about starfish at the end of the book. There are some fun search and find pages in the back as well. It will have you going through the book a couple times with your kid(dos), counting a few different things. I LOVE this book for babies 1st library!! Start them reading young and they’ll be counting in no time! And they will learn that reading is fun and can teach you so much!

What a cute counting book for younger kids! I love that this author takes random animals and helps children not only learn how to count, but also gives them some cute fun facts about them as well. Kids can learn so much by reading and these books are perfect for that! I didn’t know some of these facts! Did you know that sandpipers can change their colors?? How cool is that?! The illustrations in this book are adorable and match the story so well. I can’t wait to read more of these. These books are great for toddlers and preschoolers. Wonderful first library books too!!

I was so happy to this MC book! I enjoy this author’s stories and it had been a bit since I have had the pleasure of reading one. She always does an excellent job on plot and the in depth characters. In here is no different. I really fell for these two and the plight they both were put in. Helo is a definite surprise as she has issues but a strong backbone and mad skills! The more I learned about her the more she became perfect for the Prez. He did something in her that literally shocked me! (I think himself as well) I was not sure he would be able to come back from his faux pas. Getting to meet n greet a whole new MC is always exciting!
This one took me on a ride! I was thrilled to be back in this MC world where not everything is black or white. It was nice to see the humor the brothers share amongst each other. The story kept me engaged and I read it in a couple days. I eagerly look forward getting to know more of the boys in the MC.

Such a super cute counting book for kids! This book is wonderful for younger kids. Start them out young, reading these cute books and they will have a love of reading and learn at the same time!! Both of my girls are older, but they thought this was an adorable book. My oldest wants a turtle so bad, but of course not a sea turtle. Lol. The illustrations are bright and beautiful. The turtles are so cute!! We loved the little search and find in the back too. We even went back through to look for all the little crabs. We also enjoyed the fun facts in the back about turtles. Did you know sea turtles don’t have teeth? That’s just one of the fun things you learn when reading this super cute turtle counting book. Grab this for a toddler or preschooler’s first library! Another 5 star MC series that is well worth reading. This is President Chaz of Wretched Souls and Helo’s story. What a strong couple. Helo has had her share of trauma in her life and things are about to get even more intense. Chaz being the head man in the club has so much more to account for. But will Helo be his weak spot? Will Chaz and the MC Club accept Helo into their family? Can she be trusted? This author has once again impressed me with her writing skills. Her knowledge of MCs is outstanding and her characters have so much grit. The story will capture your interest on page one and keep you drawn in until the last page. I want so much more from this author and her amazing characters. This is going to be another great series and I look forward to reading all about the Wretched Souls.

Cute book! It was a nice cozy mystery and follow up to the first book. This can be read as a standalone. It’s fun with a well thought mystery. I enjoyed the characters and obviously the cats. I would read more by this author.

I quite enjoyed this. Percy had his hands full. Watching him get himself out this drama was fun. Lots of drama and conflict (what else from a meddling family) and so much more. It’s a clean, historical romance that was a joy to read. I love getting some of these in between everything else I read.
“The Silent Forest” is a gripping and unsettling psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Author David Kummer has crafted a masterful story that explores the darker aspects of human nature and the devastating consequences of trauma.
The story follows Kaia, a determined and resilient young woman who refuses to give up on finding her missing friend, Allison. The author’s writing is atmospheric and evocative, drawing the reader into the eerie and foreboding atmosphere of the New Haven forest.
One of the strengths of this novel is its ability to craft complex and believable characters. Kaia is a relatable and likable protagonist, and her determination to uncover the truth is both admirable and heartbreaking. The supporting cast, including the enigmatic Woods family, is equally well-developed, with each character adding depth and nuance to the story. The book was better developed, in my opinion, than book #1.
The plot is expertly paced, with a slow-burning tension that builds towards a shocking and unforgettable ending. The author’s use of misdirection and red herrings is clever, keeping the reader guessing until the very last page.
However, there are a few areas where the story could be improved. At times, the pacing feels slightly uneven, with some sections feeling rushed or dragged out. Additionally, some of the supporting characters could benefit from more development and backstory.
