The Silent Forest (The House on the Hill Book 2) by David Kummer – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Silent Forest: A shocking psychological thriller with an unforgettable ending (The House on the Hill)The Silent Forest: A shocking psychological thriller with an unforgettable ending by David Kummer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Whilst I enjoyed the first book, I found I liked this one a little more, but I found I had a few unanswered questions as this book finished. I am hoping that David reveals all in the third book though. Being the second book in The House on the Hill series David continues with the fear and creep factor, the tension, the drama, the suspense and the psychological thrills.
There are some characters you will love and others you will love to hate. There is more creepiness, more horror and more strange things happening in the town. Beware the eeriness pulls you in but having you wanting to keep your distance at the same time. The story travels slowly at first but then bam! picks up further along.
Something is out there, and it may just be darker than the night sky. The only way to find out is to read it yourself. It almost reminds me of the stories in the TV series of old The Twilight Zone. If you like psychological thrillers, then give it a go.
I wonder what book three brings.
