I absolutely loved this book. The second chance love story always gets my attention and this one definitely did not disappoint. I feel like the characters were well developed and their stories weren’t overdrawn in detail. Charlie and Trent were very sweet and I loved the she was his redemption. There was the right amount of heat and sweet in this love story as well as reliability. I liked the dynamic of Charlie’s siblings as well as the other people in their lives. Also, the drama wasn’t drawn out and what was included fit well within the plot. It wasn’t forced or drawn out taking away from the main intent. This small town, second chance for love story really hit its mark.
(There was also an allusion to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and that there is no place like home. That earned some bonus points from me!)

This book is not for the faint of heart, please check the trigger warnings before reading. With that being said if you love a dark spicy read this book is it! The chemistry between Hawke and Charlotte is absolutely palatable. He’s dark and twisted thanks to his past while she is sweet and full of light, throughout reading it’s clear opposites attract. I loved that BDSM was integral for the story. Then the fact of the thriller aspect was fantastically thrown in as well. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series because I need to see more about the other characters in this story!

Charlie and Tank have known each other for all their lives. These two are like two soulmates that take forever to realize that they are meant for each other. Having been friends since they were young, they have always been part of each other’s lives. A bad decision on the night of Tank’s father’s funeral tears them apart for eight years. After cheating relationships, failed attempts to see one another, fate brought them back together. Charlie has returned home to work at the local hospital. Tank has a chance for redemption. This book is fantastic. Charlie and Tank work through lies, challenges and health crisis. They even work through brothers that are best friends with Tank. The humor is blended in nicely. You’ll love to see how things turn out with Justin, Tank and Charlie. That had me falling off my chair laughing. The book is very entertaining with some romance, a a little steam and some drama. You might get a happy ending with a cliffhanger. This is book 1 of a series and I’m dying for Book 2 because I want to see what happens next.

Repair (Rescue Me Book 1) by Trish Williford – Review by Barbara Stegall This is a great HEA! Trent aka Tank grows in to a man any woman would love to have by their side. His love for Charlotte aka Charlie was overwhelming. Having them come back together for their HEA warms the heart. Trish Williford has created such a great world. I felt the characters were real. So much so I feel like I’m missing my friends. I will have to get the next book soon.

This is my second audio book by this author which is just as great as the first one I listened to. I enjoyed how the narrator brought the story and the characters to life using different tones of voice. They made it fun and easy to listen to. It is understandable and the narrator did a great job with it. This is a story about Asher and Jasmine. Asher leaves the door to the underworld unattended and now he finds himself in a crisis. Jasmine is a necromancer, she has never not been able to tame a ghost until now. Now that lost souls escaped the underworld and they are left to bring them back. Will they be able to bring them back in time? This is a really great story and kept me listening. I highly recommend this audible.

I enjoyed this second chance romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story that packs a punch in the romance department. It is a fast paced story about a woman who had it all until her fiance’s mistress turns up pregnant. Now she finds herself back in her hometown and face to face with a one night stand that she wanted to forget but here he is. This is a great story where the character gives life to the story and makes it fun to read. They really made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

The first book in the Green Street Girls series, Bared by N.D. Jackson is an amazing one! You will not want to put it down. I started and finished in a few hours. Such an easy read with a great story. I can not wait for the next one to come out!! Great characters and wonderful friendships and a true and real sister story. The main characters of Athena, Indigo and Gwen, and their lost sister Charlie, is just what you’re asking for in true friends. Then you have Tru, the main man who will break down the walls that Athena has around her. So fantastic and such a great book. I can not wait for the next in the series.

Flirting with my Enemy (Love is a Mystery Book 1) by Laura Burton is such a lovely sweet story. I enjoyed this book so much! Elle Brook is baking and running her mother’s bakery, Elle’s Kitchen, when a competing bakery, Got Cake, owned by Zane Masters, moves in next door. Elle is determined to not like Zane and is sure that he is her enemy. As they grow closer, Elle has to decide if Zane is innocent or is trying to use her. This book was clean and sweet and well worth reading.

Wow! I was very much drawn into yet another amazingly written story by this author! Sign Steal Deliver is book two in it’s series. I did read out of sync but it can totally be read as a standalone, although I will be going back to read book one of the series most definitely! I adore the authors writing style very much! I had my share of laugh out loud moments. GOTTA love those too! This story is very entertaining, funny, and has it’s fair share of steam as well! I was hooked on story from get go and I highly recommend giving it a read if you love Greek inspired paranormal, romance!
Repair by Trish Williford is a contemporary romance novel set in K Bromberg’s Everyday Heroes World. I have been a huge fan of K Bromberg for years but until now had never read any of the novels set in her world. I’m now kicking myself for leaving it so late as I absolutely loved Repair and not just for the fleeting glimpse of Grant Malone. The book is written in dual POV which is something I really love. We got to see the story from both Charlie and Tank’s POV. I love to read what’s going through the heads of both leading characters. Charlie and Tank are both amazing characters and I loved reading their story. After a one night stand with Tank, Charlie moved away from home 8 years previously and is now back in town. Added to this is that Tank is the best friend of Charlie’s brother. This is a book that is filled with angst which is another thing that I love in a romance novel. We also get some amazing steamy scenes which are HOT. If you love a steamy, angsty contemporary romance with great, relatable characters then Repair is the book for you. Definitely recommend that others give this book a try. It’s a fantastic read.

I was once again hooked from the first page in this the second book of this series. I really love how the author has written unique characters and keeps the story unpredictable. I like how there is just the right amount of drama to twist into the romance.
I love the chemistry between the characters and how Mom causes trouble. I can totally relate to the no one is good enough for my boy perspective of mom and the I’m the Goddess attitude. I really like how the author has brought the characters together and how the drama is created and keeps the story fresh and grabs the reader. I cannot wait for the next one.

Repair: An Everyday Heroes World Novel (The Everyday Heroes World) by Trish Williford is a romantic second chance story with some great characters. These are the kind of characters that you find yourself rooting for because you want them to find their happy ending. They story is such a sweet and endearing story. They seemed to fit so well together that it wasn’t hard to fall in love with them. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I like how she went about the story. There was some great character development throughout and the boom had an easy pace about it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely explore more of her work in the future.

Sign Steal Deliver: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen is straight up delightful! If you are interested in the Greek Gods and Goddesses, with a modern twist, of course, pick up this book! When Kat, a cat burglar, attracts the fancy of Hermes, the God of Thieves, at Mardi Gras, the race is on to capture not only her heart, but the item she has stolen from him. This book is full of romance and comedy, but also some intriguing characters. The Greek Gods/Goddesses in the present-day real world is so much fun and makes for a page-turner that you will find is not long enough by any means. The chemistry between Hermes and Kat is engaging and, of course, steamy. If you are looking for a hot, fun summer read to beat the heat, this one should be on your list.

I really enjoyed this love story. Its a really moving story about friends becoming lovers and all the problems that can follow it. The beautiful part of this book for me is Tank’s story. Throughout his childhood he has suffered loss and neglect and even as an adult he feels he is worthless and undeserving of love. However Charlie doesnt see him that way. She has loved him for years and one night together sends them into a spin. Charlie happy and looking to the future and Tank overcome by self doubt and pushing Charlie away.
8 years later Charlie returns and the connection between them is just as strong but with Charlie’s brother warning Tank off and Charlie’s emotions and upset from the past can they work together this time or are they best just forgetting what could have been and remain friends.
My heart was broken for both Tank and Charlie. It was heartbreaking to read Tank feeling so down about his self worth that he would ruin something so good. And also reading the heartache Charlie went through when she got the man of her dreams only to lose him again the first time around.

Repair by Trish Williford is a novel in The Everyday Heroes World. It is a sweet second chance romance, with drama, past history, chemistry, and plenty of sizzle. This book showed up on my recommended book feed, and it sparked my interest- so I grabbed a copy to explore. As is my first read from Trish Williford, I was intrigued to see what she could do with a story. I was easily pulled into the story and thought the characters were very likeable. I really did enjoy this sweet story and am happy to find that Ms. Williford has more books published that I will be going back to for a one-click spree. Charlies’ perfect world came to quite a messy end twelve months earlier. She left her old life behind for a fresh start in her hometown. Only problem is that moving home comes with certain complications- namely a hunk called Tank, her brother’s best friend. They share a past that was part of the reason she left and hadn’t returned for eight years. But she is determined not to let their past cause her any more angst- but that might not be quite so easy. What happens makes for a sweet and spicy read.

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This book wraps up the main story line, but there is room left to lead into the next book in the series. While this book is referred to as a romance, I felt it was more lust-filled than love filled. The main character, Salvatore, is a bit of an alphahole and I didn’t care for him very much. I know it’s a dark romance, which I usually love, but this didn’t feel dark so much as that he’s just a jerk. Maybe the description of dark is referring to the overall content, not specifically the romance? I did love that Lucianna was willing to stand up to him and call him out. Overall, the story was good – full of action and danger that’ll keep you turning the pages.

Seven year old Henry Trout is outside after his bedtime one night, searching for hedgehogs. What he sees instead is something gruesome and heartbreaking- his beloved neighbour, Miss Sally, is assaulted and left for dead. When Henry’s brother, seventeen year old Tyler Trout, is arrested and charged with the crime, their mother, Marcella, and even Sally’s son, Bernie are convinced Tyler is innocent. But Tyler has been acting very strange lately, and under the bad influence of his friend, Derek, leaving the local police to cast on Tyler. But Henry knows his brother could not have done it, because he thinks he knows who did.
JD Spero’s novel, “Boy on Hold” is a heartbreaking story with relatable, empathy-inducing characters, full of suspense and intrigue. Young Henry is so innocent and charming and his relationship with his loving big brother is admirable. Marcella, as a single mother, does the best she can to protect her children and is willing to fight to keep their innocence. There is not a likable character in the bunch, and it was easy to bond with the Trout family, and root for a positive outcome.
Spero’s novel also touches on the devastating reality that is schizophrenia and mental illness. She realistically depicts a young boy struggling with the disorder, with his family watching on, neither of them recognizing the disorder for what it is, until it takes over completely and they have gone too far to turn back. Spero manages to depict mental illness in an honest and compassionate way.
The novel is told from different time periods- before and after the crime. Each chapter is labeled so it is easy to follow along with the time switches. I am normally not a fan of novels told in this way, but in “Boy on Hold” this plot style added to the suspense.
“Boy on Hold” is a unique and gripping story with realistic and relatable characters. I eagerly look forward to the second book in this series, “Boy Released”.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The author is a one click every time for me. But this departure from what I expect to read – paranormal romance with loads of wit – was such a treat to discover. I have always adored mythology and loved that Pulkinen brought some classic mythology into her well crafted and sassy paranormal romp. This book grabbed me on page one and left me reading eagerly to find out how everything would play out with Hermes and Kat. Mythology and paranormal lovers will LOVE this book – immediately one click – you won’t regret it!
Wow. This book completely blew me out of the water. First this author was new to me and I really didn’t know what to expect. What an amazing introduction! I loved the fact that this book was set in a corner of the world that I am very familiar with. The action never stopped and the book took me on just an amazing journey. Just really loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this author.

I enjoyed the story Repair, Rescue Me Book 1 by Trish Williford. The chapters go between the point of view of Charlie and Tank, destined to be together but too many obstacles interfere with their happily ever after. We begin with an early encounter between the two and jump years ahead to where the repair to their strife needs to occur. This is a sweet story of love and finding out who you are meant to be with. He characters were all relatable and fun to get to know. I was able to read this in a matter of hours and always appreciate a quick read with characters that you come to love. The end leaves us with a tease of the 2nd installment that I am definitely going to read.

Trent “Tank” Easton has made a few questionable decisions in his life. What he said to Charlie, his best friend’s little sister, the day after his father’s funeral is one of those. What happened after that day, wasn’t.
Charlotte “Charlie” Hawkins has been in love with her brother’s best friend since she was 12 years old. Charlie never thought that Tank might share her feelings until the day of his father’s funeral. That night changed everything. Charlie stayed away from her hometown for 8 years because of what Tank said. Now she is back and plans to be friends with Tank. She can do that, right?
I fell in love with these characters for so many reasons. I thoroughly enjoy the sibling jousting between Charlie, Jude and Dane. My heart melted at Tank’s letter to Charlie. The small ways Tank shows his love for Charlie are endearing. Tank’s relationship with Shirley. Tank’s reaction to Justin’s relationship with Charlie. While you are in their world, you feel like you have grown up in their small town. I will be reading the next episode in this series!

Repair Me! Gosh, I loved this love story. There’s always that one person you think about, or have, that you had and have built a long lasting friendship with, or better yet, relationship with, and this story fully dives into all the feelings, and problems that can come from such scenarios. Charlie and Tank have a long, and tumultuous history, filled with loss, and heartache, but don’t forget about the good things, the love they’ve shared, albeit within the confines of friendship, and the way they have supported each other, through thick and thin. Reading this novel tugged at my heartstrings, as you become so attached to Charlie, who is a kick-butt nurse, passionate about all those around her, and Tank, who has battled his own demons and come out stronger for it. I loved getting to know both their characters through the talents of Trish Williford, her writing coming across strong, and allowing you to visualize and connect with all those things, and people she introduces along the way. I am very excited to read the next installment and see how things turn out for Charlies brother, Jude! If you’re ready to fall deeper in love with your people, give this a read! It’ll have you appreciating all the small things in today’s crazy world. Thank you, Trish!

Pet Me: The Toye Shoppe is the first book I have read by this author. I hope it is the beginning of a series. I enjoyed this short book and look forward to the rest of the guys’ stories. Bailey and Sam are a wonderful combination. They have great chemistry. The story flowed well, and my only complaint would be it was over too soon. I am really looking forward to adding more of Ms. Jurd’s books to my library. Review by @sunbarn

I really enjoyed this first book in this series so I couldn’t wait to start the second and I absolutely loved it! I wasn’t sure when I started this series whether I would like it not being a huge paranormal fan but I can honestly say I think this is one of my favourite series so far this year! The characters are great, it’s steamy, sexy and a whole lot more! I love the multiple POV’s in the story, makes it seem more rounded and I feel like I know all of the characters so much better. I was so engrossed in this story that I read it in a matter of hours – there is a slight cliff-hanger not enough to drive you mad but definitely enough to make you want the next book! I am really excited to see where the author takes this series in the next book – I cannot wait!

I honestly just love this author so much; I’ve lost count of how many of her books I have ready and I’m sure each one just gets better and better. I am really enjoying this series and I think this may have been my favourite so far! Sam and Ellie – oh my – what a couple! I loved their story, Sam’s story honestly broke my heart sometimes, I just really wanted something positive for him in his life and I knew as soon as he made contact with Ellie, she would be the one to do it! Ellie had her past problems as well and I really felt for her, both of these characters had almost but given up until that fateful wrong number and from then on, I was rooting for them the whole way through! There are some parts if this story that will trigger some readers but as always, the author deals with them sensitively whilst remaining true to life. I cannot recommend this book enough – it really is an amazing, emotional and heart-breaking read at times and well worthy of the 5 stars I give it!

This is a fun paranormal story. The story is engaging and easily kept my interest. So much that I read it in one setting. The characters are wonderful. I enjoyed Hermes but Kat stole the show. She has quite the interesting past plus she shifts into a house-cat. Yes I said house-cat! At first I thought humdrum but boy was I wrong! That is what helps elevate her! She surprised me and impressed me over and over. Delightfully refreshing from her name and occupation to her shifted character.
Secondary characters are fun. Yes we get to see a lot of the Gods and their personalities but my favorite is a guy named Peter. Really he is entertaining! Just read it to find out how great this character is. I chuckled at his antics more than once.
This author just surprises me with her wit and intuitiveness with all these characters. I love reading her stories and can’t wait for more from her in this series and others.

I was super excited to read this book by N D Jackson, I have read book by her previously so I couldn’t wait to get going and as I completely expected I wasn’t disappointed at all. She certainly knows how to command the attention of her readers; the pace and flow was excellent and the characters were wonderful to read about. I think what really shone through for me in this story was the connection the girls had – they were all so relatable and I just really wanted to be part of their group! I absolutely adored Athena, she was such a great character and I cannot wait for the rest of the series! I really loved the author attention to detail and how well she got across the feelings of these authors – I could honestly feel what they were feeling at times! This is definitely a one click recommendation from me! A fantastic 5 star read!
