Her Blackened Heart, book two of The Blackened Series, is the continuing story of Lady Isra. After beginning this series, I found that I enjoyed the story more this time. Pieces of Lady Isra’s past are revealed in this book. It makes Lady Isra a more intriguing character.

I have to say this book was NOT what i expected when I first picked up the beauty to read. It was EVEN better. I’m very much familiar with shape shifter novels, werewolves, or paranormal romance.
From my experiences those type of books always have girl meets paranormal guy falls head over heels in love, in the end happy and not a lot of hardship
For Tamara and Josh not the case, When I was reading about scene where Tamara took Josh in not knowing he actually was a shapeshifter, I told myself boom their gonna be in love and be happy and some out side negativity. Often from my readings its always the girl love at first sight, but with Tamara that I dare say was a stubborn fire cracker. Nope! She was a tough built up cookie.
Instead it was Josh who fell completely head over tail for her. Literally. He was o kind and sweet and Tamara was basically against it all. I was yelling at the book at some scenes for Tamara to give Josh a chance. He was such a sweetie and only wanted to give her the world.
As further I read, I learned Tamara is a very relatable character. She had been truly hurt in her past and it was hard for her to allow herself to feel something again for someone let alone to trust and allow herself to be cared for.
Josh had chosen Tamara. But with the hurt and pain Tamara had felt in the past , Josh truly had to work thru to break those walls down to show he was the real deal. And his affections and intentions were true.
I really related to this romance and this novel. Truly did. This was my first by the amazing author and most certainly not my last, I wanted to jut keep on reading. The story was so beautifully done and Tamara and Josh’s story is truly unlike any other.
I will be recommending this novel to all my friends. Its truly a a work of art of a well captivating story that is impossible to forget.
Her Blackened Soul tells the story of Lady Isra. Lady Isra is a witch that has embraced the dark arts. She takes the power of a dragon and becomes more powerful. Isra is a dangerous witch that all young people are told to steer clear of. Her charm is captivating, and she entrances those she meets. In the case of Kane, a mere mortal seeking to be all possessive of women, Isra is enraged that he desires to hold that kind of power of women. She takes him in as her slave. This is the story of that time.
I found this book to be very strange when I started reading it. As time wore on, I became more captivated with the story and enjoyed reading the story. Though it was repetitive at times the story is truly enthralling.

This book is a non-stop action filled read that will suck you in from page one and keep you hooked until the crazy cliffhanger ending that will leave you wanting more right now! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I scooped it up having never read CR Robertson before but I was enthralled by the cover and wanted to know more. I was completely grasped and knew that I was not disappointed I had grabbed this five star read by the time I finished chapter one. This is not your typical vamp fights Lycan Twilight spin off read. It will challenge the stereotypes you have come to build behind those for sure. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I am anxious to see what the next one in the series will bring us.

This started off as a wonderfully romantic story. These two can not be together but they found a forbidden love. Kinda Romeo and Juliet style. Then this story takes a weird turn. A third party shows up and wants Tasha. This part just threw me for a loop. I really couldn’t figure out where this was going. Not sure I am a huge fan of this part. It took the story from paranormal to almost sci-fi. But it certainly is full of action, drama and some great smexy scenes. At times I didnt care for Tasha. For a vamp she is not too confident in her man. I mean he is changing the world…so at times he is a busy beaver…I mean wolf. By the end I was really rooting for her to be strong and him to not lose her.
The secondary characters..well I either loved or hated them. I did enjoy Radar and the relationship he has with Levi. As well as I wonder what that Donovan is all about. I bet he comes out to play more fully in future books.
Overall is it a different kind of paranormal. Full of characters that really get under my skin. I couldn’t help but wish them the best by the end.

I definitely enjoyed the first book in this series. Ava Alise does a great job of making us fall in love with the main characters of this story. I was wondering “will they, won’t they?” on nearly every page. It’s got the “boy-next-door” vibes since Jordan and Xia grew up across the street from each other. Best friends in every sense of the phrase. Watching the one you love while they love someone else is difficult – and I think we have all been there. I caught myself not even bothering to stop reading until I had consumed the whole book. And now all I want is to read the next one because the ending to this one made me INSANELY curious about what could happen next! Don’t miss out, binge this book TODAY!

Let me preface this by saying: this is not normally the type of book that I would pick up, but I am so glad that I did! If you are doubting whether or not it would be a good read, let me tell you that it is an almost nostalgic reminder of everything about your teenage years. When I look back on High School, I tend to remember mostly the good. This book brought me back to my hometown city, the drama, the popular vs the unpopular, and the confusing emotions that go with adolescence. Krysten did a GREAT job with the characters and the writing in this story. Being a Michigander myself, I was happy to see places that I recognized. Hadley is the majority of us – trying to find her way, figure out how to navigate life after her best friend moves away, and getting uprooted just when she thinks she has things slightly figured out. Charlotte is the quiet friend, but always loyal – even when she shouldn’t be. Simone and her group are the clique everyone wants to be in until they realize that even the clique isn’t happy and they are better off doing what makes them happy rather than trying to impress the masses.
I think this book is perfect for those getting ready to go into high school or the ones who are still navigating it. I’m excited to read the next installment and see what happens as they keep growing.

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs. This was such a unique read. Its the story of Jeremy a 17 year old boy who seems to be one of the few people left on Earth. When a Midwife is going around trying to find if there are any people left she comes across Jeremy. Jeremy believes he has been chosen to give birth not unlike the Virgin Mary. The Midwife is agnostic so she doesn’t really buy into the whole Virgin Mary bit but she can’t deny that he is Pregnant. A 17 year old boy is pregnant. As confusing as it seems her only job is to make sure this baby is brought into the world safe and sound because it could be humanities last hope! As you delve deeper and deeper into the book my questions were mounting and they were finally pleasantly answered. If you are into Science Fiction don’t miss this intriguing read!

OMG! This was everything I had hoped for, and more! All the stars!!!! Forbidden Wolf is the first book in The Shadow Chronicles by C.R Robertson. I love C.R Robertson’s work- so I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. When it landed on my Kindle, I put aside the other book I had been reading and jumped right in. To say I loved it is an understatement. If I could give t more than 5 stars I would! I was torn between devouring every word and savouring every word by pacing myself and drawing out the experience. But the story, and characters, were just so good they pulled me into their world, keeping me glued to the pages- and all I could do was hold on tight for an unforgettable ride. As with her other work that I have read, this has a captivating storyline and fantastic characters. This is another masterfully crafted paranormal romance, with a complex, multi-layered, and addictive storyline. The story is action-packed, with drama, danger, hidden agendas, secrets, paranormal beings, war, violence, adventure, sizzling encounters, fated mates, and high stakes. I loved Ms. Robertson’s original take on Vampire and Lycan lore, she held me spellbound, devouring her story in one sitting. Fate played a hand in bringing Levi and Tasha together, Levi being a werewolf and Tasha being a vampire, they are sworn enemies- as vampires and Lycans have been at war for what seems like forever. They shouldn’t be drawn to each other. But fate, and their combustible chemistry have other ideas. The war threatens to rip them apart, and dangers stalks, threatening to destroy everything. Maybe the only way to survive is to work together. But Ms. Robertson doesn’t make things easy, they will be tested on every level- and what ensues makes for a completely riveting read! #mustread I really can’t wait to get my hands on the second book, I need it STAT! Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is a story of finding yourself through the toughest of situations. Although I’m unfamiliar with the life of a foster child, especially teens living in this reality, I feel the author did justice to help the reader understand the issues these individuals face and how difficult it is to grow up essentially alone and untrusting in a world where you feel unwanted. This story is about Sara, a former foster child turned social worker. Her background leads her to have a special understanding of other children in the system, which is where we meet Rachael, a teen in the system running away from her current foster parents due to abuse. To protect Rachael, Sara will do anything in her power to save her, even returning to a former small town where Sara had once ran from under her own foster care. Here, Sara runs into her former best friend, Colin, who has always held a flame for her and will do anything to protect and show his care. The reader is taken on a journey of finding love, friendship, and most important family. This story will make you realize how important these connections are to those currently in foster care and those that survived the system about how difficult it is to trust that these connections are true and valued by all involved. Wonderful story and highly recommended.

Let me start by saying that you absolutely should read the first book before this one as this one starts where the first one left off and the first book has a hard cliffhanger.
In part two we continue this Smurf reimagining with the events leading in from the previous book coming to a head. Personally, I feel like the first book was stronger in story telling and this would have worked better as one book versus being split into two. It does have an HEA, so that’s something to look forward to. Overall, I would have liked to see more of a solid emotional connection between the characters instead of the insta-love, but if you liked the Smurfs, the nostalgia kind of helps things along.

What could be more challenging than vampires and werewolves? Hybrids!! Yes, Kaycee, queen of the local coven, just wants respect and to kick some butt to protect her coven from Pantheos and his group of hybrids. Kaycee is a strong feminine character that shows courage and determination. She is a good leader when the rest of the coven listen. Told through multiple POV’s, we do see the story from many angles which helps keep the plot easy to follow. It was a good story for the paranormal fantasy loverl
I enjoyed this lighthearted RH story, it was a really easy read. You need to have read part one before this book. Lillie is now mated to Zayed and has feelings for more, how could she possibly be attracted to all four. With each guy she start gaining powers but doesn’t understand why. Erius is still determined to keep kidnapping until he gains the power he craves, using any means he can. Lillie finds out some surprising things about her past, and it only make her more determined to help save the first place that feels like home. This story is enjoyable but not complicated. Lillie is a heroine who doesn’t seem to need her guys to save her, but definitely wants to keep them around.

This book was everything I didn’t know I needed and then some. After Poppy and various other women get it abducted and sent into “space” the agreement that was supposed to secure the future of Zensah’s pack unravels when they discover the humans were taken against their will. Poppy and Zensah end up on a planet that isn’t earth. But, luckily it was Zensah’s home planet. Ending up days away from Zensah’s pack, and home. Poppy and Zensah’s mission to return to the pack and home then ensues. With every book element I’ve ever needed / wanted without knowing that I needed. Aliens, abduction, romance, a strong female lead, steamy scenes. The plot was stunning, the romance was stunning, and you never got lost in the mix of both of them. I loved every second of this book – and the ending was TOP LEVEL. I can’t recommend this book enough.

This book really hit home for me. I am a special needs parent; I have special needs myself and I was raised in a special need’s environment before and after my adoption. It takes a lot of love, and strength to not only watch your child go through their trials and tribulations, but to feel it and go through it with them, with your own guilts and fears hand in hand. Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon embodied this throughout her entire book, giving her readers a look not just into her life, but into her soul. I applaud the author for her willingness to share her story and empower others in life who are struggling, whether it is in silence or not. There are many take away from this book that I choose to live with in my life now, thanks to Marcia, you can choose one or you can choose many, and one of them for me is to always remember not to give up and to have hope. Does this mean that this book needs to be read by only special needs parents or people with special needs? No, it does not.

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC, #1) by Manda Mellett is a five star book from start to finish. This is the first book I have ever read by this author and to say she now has a new fan would be a huge understatement! I am hooked on the Satan’s Devils and I will absolutely be making sure I read the rest of this amazing series.
In Turning Wheels we meet Sophie, injured and broken after a terrible accident that drastically changes the course of her life and Wraith the VP of the outlaw motorcycle club the Satan’s Devils. The club offers Sophie their protection when asked by a friend to help her because the man suspected of hurting her wants to basically finish the job. Thrust into a world she really doesn’t understand Sophie finds an inner strength she didn’t realise she had but still fears her heart isn’t strong enough to handle her growing love for the gorgeous, powerful VP. With so much going on can she trust in him and her feelings to truly move forward with her life? And what about Wraith, He has never EVER thought he would want a permanent woman in his life but Sophie is changing that idea real quick. Can he convince her to truly trust him and join his world?
The characters created by Ms Mellett are full of depth and heart that going into the book you might not expect. There are steamy moments that only make you fall more in love with these characters and their deep connection. Some Preconceptions you might have about bikers are put to the test. This club and their connection and commitment to each other might even make you a little envious. Do yourself a huge favour and read this book! you will not be disappointed!

First, let me say that I really enjoyed the actual story of this book, however there was not enough setup of the actual characters. A number of characters were introduced in a very short amount of time, making it a bit confusing at first, but once you settle in the book is really good! I loved that you have a vampire that has chosen to become a lawyer in a rather large city in the United States. I do believe that a little more time spent on each of the characters would be awesome, and I’m hoping that in future novels the author will spend time developing the characters as much as they developed the story. I went around in circles trying to figure out the who-dun-it of this book, and in the end, well, you’ll see! All in all, an excellent book!

Turning Wheels: Satan’s Devils MC #1 by Manda Mellett
Another great read by Mellett. Mellett has this way of making readers come back. Every read by Mellett is just amazing and I can’t wait for the next one.
Sophie is living her life when things change. Helping a friend escape an abusive relationship made her lose a leg. Now her friend has left again and is afraid the ex will go after Sophie. The quote I chose for Sophie is: “You fell at his f***ing feet? Way to go, Zoe! What happened next?”
Wraith is VP for the Arizona chapter. When a friend calls saying that he’s gotta protect a girl the chapter helps out. Once there Wraith has found himself smitten. The quote I chose for Wraith is: “We gotta hope he hasn’t got the same clout over here and gets the feds involved.”
Cribbs offers a unique twist on the story of the virginal birth. Honestly, I am not religious at all, but I was still very intrigued by the storyline. I definitely was not disappointed! I thoroughly enjoyed the story, even if some of the religious nuance was lost on me. I particularly recommend this book if you like the dystopian genre. It was nice to have a dystopian read done a bit differently than anything else I have read.

I give Forbidden Wolf (The Shadow Chronicles Book 1) by C.R. Robertson, 5 stars.
I really enjoyed this book. The forbidden vampire/lycan romance has been done before, but this author puts such a fresh and interesting spin on it. Story pulled me in and kept reading until the end. Just when I thought the end was near, the author throws another curveball. I love that in my books. However, what really makes this book for me is the characters. I wasn’t sure how I felt about them at first, but as they grow and experience things, they develop into such great characters, multi-faceted and have their flaws too, but big hearts. The secondary characters are also wonderful and I hope to see more of them later in the series– both the good and bad guys.
If you enjoy paranormal adventure/romance books with great characters, this book is for you. It is the beginning of what promises to be a great series.

While this is the book that kick started this series, it wasnt my first book of this series. I started in the middle and when I was thoroughly hooked, I just had to come back and start from the beginning.
I absolutely without a doubt, love this series. And these two, oh you are in for one wild ride (pun intended). If you like bikers, smart mouthed women and men who love fiercely, this is a book for you. It has all you need and more!

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils #1) by Manda Mellett was a really good read! I really enjoyed reading this one, because I started with the new generation, and the spin off locations so going back to the first book that started the whole series was great to me. It’s interesting seeing how these “older” characters ran things in their days, and it helped me understand the books I have read better. My only complaint was that this book felt a little slower than the other books I’ve read of hers have. It’s probably because it’s the first book in the series, which I can completely understand, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to dive into more of these!

Sara Flemming went from being a troubled youth to helping them as a social worker. She had someone that was willing to fight for her and she wanted to do the same for those that were following in her footsteps.

She is reluctant to trust Sara, but when she finally realized that Sara wasn’t just going to brush her off like everyone else has she opens up and tells her everything. Now that she knows there is someone that is standing in her corner she feels safe until she gets a phone call that sends her running for the hills once again.
Colin Fulton has never left the small town of Victory and is now a Sheriff. When he catches a young girl that had an APB out on her he never thought she would be the reason that the love of his youth would return. Would Sara remember him? Turning Wheels was a great 5 star read and book one in the Satan’s Devils MC. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
Sophie was trying to help her best friend get away from her monster boyfriend and she ended up in a tragic accident that would change her life forever. Now in a wheelchair she finds herself face-to-face with Horse, a man who says he was sent by her best friend to keep her safe. She is once again in danger and Horse is determined to keep her safe. He ends up reaching out to his friends at Satan’s Devils MC.
Wraith is the VP of the club and is immediately drawn to Sophie once he sees her. His protective instincts kick in and he wants to keep her safe. Will the MC be able to keep Sophie safe?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I really feel like going to the MC really made a huge difference for Sophie, it helped her get her confidence back and feel whole again. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get action, steamy sex scenes, and so much more. I look forward to reading more from this series. I’m hoping to get Red’s story soon. 1-click and get started today.

This was a quick and easy read. It kept me very entertained and if it wasn’t for life I would’ve finished this book in one day. It definitely left me want more. This book ends on a huge cliff hanger and I cannot wait for the second in this series.
Vanessa is a hairdresser that seems to bring out the inner beauty in her clients leaving them with a glow. This book is centered around her and the love she has for her little brother Piper, whom is terminally ill.
We also have the three half brothers Grey, Raif, and Azoz. Grey is the first brother we meet in this book. He is a hard type A person. Next we run into Raif. Raif and Grey have a lot of similarities. Enough that Vanessa’s dreams start to get a little fuzzy. Azoz is the only brother that we get to meet but Vanessa has yet to. The adult scenes were a little mild and fast.

I loved this second book to the series, and I was not disappointed. This book flowed so easily and I did not want the story to end! I love the Zayed for sure, they are good people. Lillie is surrounded by so much love with the Zayed. Lillie truly believe for the first time in her life, she felt she belonged with the Zayed. Throw in the evil Erius, whom wants all the powers that the Zayed possess and a mystery of the story behind Lillie and you have a great paranormal book. I so enjoyed this series. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
