Wow! I am not typically a fan of paranormal stories but this book had me hooked from the start. I did not read the first two books in the series but after falling in love with Max and Claudia I will be revisiting the first two books. Watching Max and Claudia’s relationship, which is not a “normal” pairing, no pun intended but truly magical. Witches, werewolves, magic and love, this book will definitely have you hooked until the end.

I was super excited for the next book in this series. And this was perfect. The author has an amazing talent of drawing you into her stories with the way she describes every little minute detail. You can tell that she certainly does her work based off the description of each character, items, and surroundings. I can visually imagine it in my head while reading her books. This was probably my favorite couple she has written about so far in her series. Their chemistry is so steamy yet as with all good stories there is always something standing in their way. If you are a fan of sexy, steamy, mystery and suspense then this is a great selection to read.

THE DEVOTED FAN (21ST Century Courtesan Book 5) by Pamela DuMond writing as P. S. DuMond
5 STARS
Is it really over?? Oh my goodness this series has had me wrapped since page 1 of book 1 and now I have finished book 5 and although I loved how this author ended this, I seriously don’t want it to be done.
I don’t think it is possible to read this series or this book out of order. This is a tightly woven series and each book plays off of the previous and right into the next. There are so many moving parts that in my opinion require these to all be read in order.
This was the perfect ending to this story, and I really wasn’t completely sure about anything until the very end. If you had told me this is where Evie would have ended up after reading the first book I would have thought you were crazy, and although I didn’t fully trust it, I was so so happy and completely fulfilled with how everything ended.
I can’t recommend this whole series highly enough… It is full of everything you ever want in a series. Danger, Love, Lust, Humor, Fear, Contentment, Steam, Suspense, Thrills, and edge of your seat reading most of the way.
I can not wait to reread this entire series, maybe more than once. A definite addition to my list of favorite series ever!
Many thanks to this author for a Uniquely Stellar Series!!

The Web of Humanity has a lot going on, needless to say that I was not expecting the wild adventure it took me on. Based on a true story The Web of Humanity goes from past to present flawlessly. While thought-provoking the things that The Web of Humanity makes us face aren’t exactly happy items including racism, war, anger and more. But Ms. Turchin really makes her readers think with all of her different generations, and POV’s. This is my first read by Ms. Turchin, and she packed so much action, mystery, and more into her novel that I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

THE DEVOTED FAN (21ST Century Courtesan Book 5) by Pamela DuMond writing as P. S. DuMond
The Devoted Fan is the fifth book in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by Pamela DuMond writing as P.S. DuMond. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading you won’t want to stop. I’ve truly enjoyed this whole series but this one is my favorite yet. The twists and turns will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. Do you believe in Karma? Do you know how Karma works? Evie is about to find out what Karma is and can do. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Deception, mystery and suspense. This is a very intriguing paranormal. A unique storyline, this had me waiting for the other shoe to drop. There was a constant layer of suspicion throughout the whole story. I wasn’t overly fussed by the ending (I think I just wanted more) but the rest of the story makes up for it. The characters are well written, with the author cleverly offering a depth to each of the girls without info dumping. This is a really engaging read and I recommend this book.

Wow! The best book yet in this series! The Devoted Fan is Book 5 in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by P.S. Dumond. This time Evie is about to learn a lesson in Karma. Even though she was not able to help heal the first person that she loved she continues to push forward. This story just like the others is filled with page turning twists and turns. I was very impressed with this book. You will definitely learn that yes, there is a price to pay for EVERYTHING. All of the characters in this story are wonderful and bring this story to a life. This was quite a page turner and once I started I couldn’t put it down. I do suggest that if you haven’t read the first books in the series, that you do. Everything will make the most sense if you do. I have nothing negative to say about this series and every bit of high praise. I cannot wait to read more of this author and hope this series isn’t over.

OH my, this book was good, and it reminded me of the amazon prime tv show Just Add Magic. It is a good book for kids that love something fun happen when people bake and for the kids that love baking. It is a good book for a day one, but also, I want to see what happens and keep rereading it and maybe find some answers and have some theories of my own. The book had me with my emotions going along with the book, but also sometimes peaceful and I would recommend this book to the kids that I know.

Sons of Sindicato: Seth’s Novella by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns was a great read! For such a short story, this one was packed full if drama, action, romance and suspense. I wasn’t sure how I would enjoy this book when I picked it up but I was very surprised! This book definitely left me wanting more. It didn’t end on a cliff hanger exactly, but it definitely leads up to a sequel. I can not WAIT to read the next installment soon!

Blood Mug: Red Farlow Mysteries: #4 by W.F. Ranew. I like a book that pulls me in effortlessly and keeps me hooked from start to finish. And this book definitely delivered on that. The characters bring the words to life and the storyline had me on the edge of my seat more than once. It kept me guessing and I sometimes find that hard to find in books but this author did it and did it well. It’s a well written book and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. Four stars and highly recommended.
Life’s a Witch (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 3) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen was a sexy and funny read! This story has a very light feel and also is a hot listen. There is conflict and I love that we’ve expanded the supernatural and focus on demons too. I absolutely love Crimson and Mike, their energy just flows through the story. It is very difficult to ignore their connection. I really enjoyed the narrator and pace, the audible version of this book just had me hooked.

Wow, this novella was a thrill ride! Murder, mayhem, and the threat of the law is in full swing in Sons of Sindicato.
I really enjoyed the introduction to the Giordano crime family and the power struggle they are having with the Rossi’s, another Sindicato family. I also liked the tension of when to follow the law and when to break it. Those here for the romance will be happy that there is enough spice to qualify as romance without it being overdone or distracting from the overall story.
Something that stood out to me in this novella is that despite the fact that the two main characters, Seth and Braelynn, and supporting cast already knew one another it isn’t a shock to be introduced the middle of everything that’s going on. I admit I’d love to know more of the backstory of the Sindicato as a whole, and from the preview of the next book it does seem we’ll get a peek into some of that.
Trigger warning for sexual assault and fictional murder.

I love a good book that not only entertains you, but teaches you something, as well. Antipodes by T.S. Simons does just that. This is a Young Adult Dystopian novel, but it is set in the present day, not some far-off date in the future. Considering what is currently happening in the world, this is a rather timely, appropriate read, especially for young people. (And, the author wrote it BEFORE the pandemic began!) Antipodes touches on many social issues that are prevalent in today’s society and that we all deal with on a daily basis: environmentalism, gender, equality, disease, etc. The characters are interesting to follow, as well, and this is definitely an escape read. Luckily, it is the first book in a series (the following two are titled The Liminal Space and Ouroboros, as well as a prequel titled The Crossroads). It’s safe to say I will be checking those out next! 4 stars.

Blue Magnolia by W.F. Ranew is the second book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series. This can be read as a standalone story and enjoyed. I have been reading the series out of order and enjoying the mysteries that Farlow gets himself involved in. I have been enjoying the character of Red Farlow and his tough persona. This story focuses on family trauma and secrets with lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed the mix of the country music story and a mystery/suspense story. This book kept me on the edge of my seat reading and not wanting to put it down. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
I love a good mafia romance. This book though does have a triggering moment in it, was a nice intro into the Sindicato World. Seth is the son of the leader of the Sindicato family and falls for his leading lady is a criminal lawyer that got him off in more ways than one. This book is honestly a quick read with some unexpected turns. I think it took me about an hour to read. I am looking forward to seeing how things play out with this family. Luckily I don’t have to wait long as the new book was just released today.

East Beach by W.F. Ranew is the third book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series. These books can be read as standalone but I’m finding are better enjoyed reading them in order. I am catching up on the books I missed in the series. The story is well written and sets the reader up with twists and turns. Everyone looks forward to retirement but FBI Agent Joseph Trammell is not. When Farlow finds him dying from being shot at home the mystery starts. There are some great twists and suspense involved in the story and it keeps me reading until late at night. I really am enjoying the stories and characters. I look forward to reading more in this series and author in the future.
Blood Mug by W.F. Ranew is the fourth book in the Red Farlow Mysteries series. This can be read as a standalone but I think it would be best enjoyed in order. I started with this book in the series and am going back to the previous books to catch up. This book focused on a murder at an art center with a medieval knife as the weapon. Will PI Red Farlow solve the murder before the killer strikes again? I really enjoyed the character Red Farlow. He is a solid, hard-boiled detective who helps to drive the story. I like the pacing and storyline filled with twists and turns. I look forward to checking out more in this series and from this author in the future.
Elusive is the 5th book in the Billionaire Bodyguards Series by Via Mari. As like the stories before, if you like action packed romantic suspense, this book doesn’t disappoint. This book was awesome. It was a great mix of fantasy and reality. I was captivated from the very beginning. I am truly a fan.

The Earl’s Scandalous Wager by Wareeze Woodson – Review by Michelle Collier
Rating 5 out of 5
The Earl’s Scandalous Wager is my first book by Wareeze Woodson and I will tell you I was not disappointed. Emily is such a great character. She is put up as a wager in order to cover his debts. Instead of freaking completely out, she watches and learns about her new lot in life. What will become of her? The writing really quickly draws you in and captures your imagination and your heart.
Elusive is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. I recommend reading all the books in this series to get full enjoyment of this book. Via Mari did an amazing job as always grabbing me from the first page to the last page. It is a steaming romance. I am going to warn you that you may want to leave enough time because you may not be able to stop reading until the last page of this book. The characters are fully developed and relatable. This story is about Sheldon who is a bodyguard to Alexis. She needs protection from a trafficker. She is one handful for Sheldon to say the least. Will there be sparks between Alexis and Sheldon? Will Sheldon protect her from herself? I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens to Sheldon and Alexis.

Zoe Kalo is a new author to me and I want to say that the cover pulled me to this book. The Young Adult (YA) genre is grabbing the attention of everyone. Zoe does an amazing job grabbing me from the first page until the last page. I also found myself turning pages faster and faster. The characters are complex and developed. This story is about Paloma. She was sad about her father’s passing and held a seance to contact him. She was kicked out of school and sent to a convent, from that moment everything changed. She formed a bond with special girls and they held another seance. Whom did they contact that night? What is going to happen to all the girls? Will Paloma contact her father? I highly recommend this book to see what happens to her and her friends.

Book 5 of the series and I just have to say that it gets better with every book. The characters are well-written. I feel like the characters could have been a few people I have met throughout my life. The plot is a page turner with many little twists. Just when you think you may know what’s going on, BAM, twist! I You feel every emotion that Lei and Lucca feel as the story goes along It’s not often that you can feel that in a story. This story left me on the edge of my chair and now I will be eagerly awaiting Part 2…

Twisted Secrets Audio Book by Amy McKinley is the first book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This is a brilliant book, a strong start to a series and made for brilliant listening. I found myself completely drawn in to the voice of the narrator. I found myself nervous about what was going to happen to the characters and intrigued by everything going on. I felt the emotions they went through and I was really made to feel like I was on the journey with them
The author has done not only a brilliant job in writing this book but also in choosing the narrator. Everything about it worked and really just made the whole experience better. I loved listening to this and I cannot wait to dive into the second book.

Another fab mystery in the series. A little meaty whodunnit to sink your teeth into. Honestly, these books are brilliant, I go into them not expecting all that much, just a by the numbers inspector stuff, and I always get my socks knocked off. In this someone has got it in for potters, as Farlow finds one of them dead, a nice big medieval dagger sticking out their back. As always, expect lots of intrigue and twist and turns that will keep you guessing, and wondering if Farlow really will get to the bottom of all the messiness. A solid mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed, but then I have kind of come to expect that of Ranew, he always delivers.
Elusive:Dark Millionaire Mafia Romance by Via Mari is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. This is such a brilliant and intense series that somehow just seems to keep getting better. This book had everything going for it – amazing characters, strong chemistry and brilliant writing. It is fast paced and exciting from start to finish. The characters don’t have a typical start to their journey but it is one that hooked me immediately. Via Mari is an author I only discovered relatively recently but she has easily become one of my go to authors. Whenever I see a book with her name on it I don’t hesitate to give it a go and I am never disappointed. This is a fantastic series and one I would highly recommend!

I wasn’t prepared for this series to end. I wasn’t prepared for this book. And I mean both of those statements in the best possible way. The author has done an amazing amazing amazing job crafting this entire series. When you start, you think you might be unraveling one type of book when in essence you become sucked right into this world of unknowns and suspense without realizing it. The overall story is much more complex than you might initially expect. Just a well written plot with amazing characters. This book was the perfect way to wrap the series up – even if I am ultimately saddened that this is the end to this amazing series. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Bernadette Marie – this author should have been in my library a long time ago because wow do I ever love the stories she writes. I love a good rom com. I thought I had got everything worked out about what was going to happen but no the author definitely had some twists in store. I have loved this series and didn’t want it to end and I think it’s safe to say Ms DuMond has certainly saved the best book for last! After Evie’s injury at the end of the last book I was intrigued to see just who was out to get her and the author definitely kept me on my toes and me guessing throughout! I really like Evie and have loved reading about her!
Although this series is over, I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
