Libby is brand-spanking-new in town and has finally reached the end of her first day. She is in her comfy pink Disney pajamas and just wants some toast to unwind – which is how and when she learns that an old toaster and uncleaned crumbs can cause a real life fire! Totally flabbergasted, she finally comes to a bit more to her surroundings when an insanely hot fireman is coaxing her out of her new home to safety. Zach is a fireman in Libby’s new town and happens to be the one coaxing her to safety, and a very welcome but distracting view.

There really weren’t any surprises in this storyline but it was so fun, so cute, I had an abundance of moments where I actually laughed out loud. The chemistry and character building was great and I will absolutely be following up with the other additions that will be made to this series. Such a super read for summer – fun and light and hilarious and a touch steamy. Loved Libby and Zach!!

Troy: A Crown of Stones Origin Story is a fast paced Epic Fantasy that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till the end. This is the Prequel to The Crown of Stones Trilogy and holy cow this author did not disappoint. This gives us back story on Ian Troy and the other nations fighting along with the Rellan Army. This was everything I expected it to plus more. I’ve read several books by this author and this may top my list of favorites. This story has drama, suspense, magic, adventure and so much more. I highly recommend reading this book and if you haven’t read the Crown of Stones Trilogy I’d recommend reading it as well. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Horrible things that could potentially cause your demise? That is the case with Come Home to Death by Marilyn Levinson. Her husband is always disappearing on ‘business trips’ and one day two thugs appear on her doorstep claiming he owed them money. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone. This was a fast paced novel that kept you on the edge of your seat, wondering what was going to happen next. Lots of twists and unexpected turns that will keep you turning pages. I don’t think anyone could be disappointed in picking up this one.

This book was definitely a different change of pace from what I usually read. I really enjoyed reading it. I loved the idea of a villain getting a happy ever after. Finding out that you are one quarter villain, after doing everything you are told to do, was quite the shock for Maddy. She starts to question who she is, and what really makes a villain. The back and forth between Maddy and Leo was absolutely adorable. Once I realized it was a YA book, I roped my daughter into reading it with me, and she absolutely loved it. It’s definitely a book for everyone to enjoy. Cori does an excellent job tackling the topics of good vs evil and the topics surrounding it.

Under Jackson Bridge has suspense right from the beginning, and kept me hooked. I have read other books by this author, and liked most of them. I think this was her best one yet, and look forward to the next book. The ending was not what I expected! I am glad that the author kept things under wrap until the end. While I did have some suspicions, I didn’t figure it all out. I really want to know more about how Craig was involved and see what happens to Jack’s shoe collection. Hopefully the 2nd book in the series wraps all that up.

Under Jackson Bridge is Book 1 in the newest series Beyond the Bridge…and I was already intrigued by the cover of the book and curious what Susan Specht Oram had in store for my reading pleasure. Right from the beginning I was hook as a simple boat outing with a circle of friends leads to two people going overboard and one ends up missing. The amount of intrigue, suspicion, deception, mystery with twists and turns….who can you trust when entangled in so many secrets.

Irena and her group of close friends go out on a boat ride for celebration which includes her exhusband, Jack. When stubborn behavior leads Jack overboard on a rogue wave along with Irena …. what is left is Irena trying to put together the pieces when Jack continues to be missing and the search is on…especially thinking of their daughter, Kelly. With shady details and so many questions… is Jack still alive….or no…

This is a great thriller story and I highly recommend this book to any lover of fast paced suspense thrillers!! Well done!!

Another successful book by Sandra L Young. As the third book in the series, this was yet another great book. I loved the story of Justine and her connection to Liza for the museum event. I enjoyed the interaction between Justine and Jackson. I liked when the story went back to Liza’s experiences through her POV and all the layers around Liza and Jackson. Family dynamics, romance, hometown celebrity, and more. Lots of great things from this story!

This was a fun 5 star read. Libby had me LOL at times and the way that she meets Zach is priceless. The chemistry between these two characters was great, you could feel it coming off the pages. I connected with Shayna from page 1, I was a single Mom who knew I met the one when he had no problems spending time with and taking care of my daughter and she would ask him to do things for her instead of asking me. It was so hard at first and I remember struggling with it much like Shayna.

Burke is a great guy period. When he steps up and helps Shayna one day with both of the kids and how he connected with Eli a little boy desperately in need of some positive male attention he won me over, well at least as a match for Shayna. Burke struck me from the moment I met him in Dre’s story, so glad my gut about him was right.

Once again Ms. Jackson delivered a book worthy of curling up on the couch and reading. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Just Ducky is the first book in the Weird Shifters series. I read a lot of books with characters who are shifters so it’s fun to come across something a bit different and I’m looking forward to reading more of this series! I’ve enjoyed other books by this author, particularly The Portal Prophecies series, so knew I could expect unconventional fantasy in a well developed world.

Ducky is a duckling shifter who is constantly looked down on other, seemingly more useful shifters. She’s presented with a world where she doesn’t seem to have a lot to offer and is constantly getting into embarrassing or dangerous situations. Ducky has a lot to learn about herself as she seeks to learn to control her powers and find her place in the world.

I particularly enjoyed getting to explore a variety of settings on Lord Kobreon’s travels. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this fantasy world in Happy Hump Day!

This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of shifter fantasy who are interested in characters who can shift into less conventional animals.

Toasted is a fun and flirty contemporary romance. It’s so lighthearted and easy to read that I was done even before I wanted to be.

Purrfectly Framed is the delightful second entertaining book in the A Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series by Ruth J. Hartman. I really enjoyed the first book Brushed Up On Murder that I had to read this one.
Molly loves her furry footed friends and wants to preserve moments in time with them. Unbeknownst to them they inadvertently capture more than they realise. Which leads to Molly and her posse once again trying to find clues that will lead them to a killer.
It is the perfect cozy mystery adventure book for cheering you up because I found myself laughing out loud at the banter, mischief, and mayhem. There are many quirky characters of all shapes and sizes, but it is the furry footed kind that are really the showstoppers in these books.
If you are a lover of cosy mysteries and love the feline kind, then these wonderful books are sure to melt your heart.

Brushed Up On Murder is the first book in the A Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery series. It is a fun and entertaining cosy mystery. There are a host of characters both furry and human alike and it was often the furry four-footed kind that had me laughing along with Molly and Hanks witty banter.
Molly loves her job as a cat groomer, but she equally loves playing amateur sleuth. So, when she finds the over-fastidious Mr Durbin Haines murdered, she and her posse can’t resist to expose the truth and catch a killer. It was easy to spot the murderer, but it was fun watching the quirky characters and puzzle pieces come together through the twists and roadblocks.
I have read a few or Ruth’s feline friend’s books and have been delighted to read each one.
If you like furry friends and super sleuths, then Ms Hartman’s book should go on your TBR list.

Since I hadn’t read anything by this author before, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting myself into. The cover grabbed my attention immediately and didn’t even need to get halfway through the synopsis before picking it up. Once I opened this book there was no turning back. I was completely and utterly captivated from the first page to the very last. I may or may not have neglected some of my responsibilities in order to finish this book, but I had no choice! Erica is content with her life as a newlywed until things get weird, and they get weird fast. Strange circumstances revolve around her husband and her family, so who can she trust now? I won’t spoil anything at all because this book is well worth the time. I highly recommend picking it up if you enjoy mystery, suspense, and avoiding chores to read! Definitely looking forward to the next book by this author.

Loss and grief are painful things. Broken souls are even harder to put back together. But together they might just make it.
Loch’s personal life is a mess and that is creeping in to his professional life so when told to take time he agrees. He needs time to grieve, to heal, to find himself again.
Hailey can never take it back and that and the accident have left her reeling.
It was easy to relate to the characters and especially Hailey as I have watched my husband for years not being able to speak to his father after arguing before he died. Never have I seen two people need all the love and support that Loch and Hailey need. I wanted to wrap them up and take away their pain.
The lovely romance story is raw and an emotional rollercoaster and definitely pulled on my heartstrings.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I look forward to reading more.

Come Home to Death is a romantic suspense novel full of action, drama, danger, murder, mystery, intrigue, secrets, lies, scandal, deceit, and treachery. The story centers around Erica Parker who has just fled for her life after coming home to a couple of thugs who are looking for her husband. Fearing for her safety, and that of her husband, she returns to the one place she swore she would never go again, her childhood home. From the moment she arrives in her old hometown Erica starts having a string of mysterious “accidents” that leaves her questioning her sanity and makes her uncertain who to trust. With her upcoming twenty fifth birthday looming on the horizon Erica stands to become a multi millionaire and suddenly everyone has an agenda and ulterior motives for wanting to spend time with her. Some stand to gain her inheritance if she meets an early demise which makes anyone, including those who love her the most, as potential suspects. A fantastic story with engaging characters, and twists and turns that kept me riveted until the end to see whodunit. I will be looking for more books by this talented author!

I won’t go into the actual storyline because I just know there is too much that I could give away without meaning too and I refuse to spoil it for anyone. Just know I loved Arrow!
This book, as all her books in this fabulous series do, has an amazing mix of wonderful characters and creative storylines that truly will have you hooked. Now this is book 5 of the series and I have to say that I highly recommend reading entire series. I promise you will not regret a single second spent reading this wonderful authors work.

This was a really enjoyable read. The story was so cleverly written that I didn’t know who the real culprit was and my opinions changed all through out the book.
The saying is true that money is the root of evil and it definitely is in this case. This story so full of danger, suspense, secrets, lies, a little romance, and a constant feeling of not knowing who you can trust.

Erica thought her life was good until she finds out things about her husband which put them in danger. As she tries to help Terry out of the debt he is in she realises that her husband isn’t the man she thought he was.
While Erica is left with the feeling she doesn’t know the man she married she is also blind-sided to find out she is set to get a lot of money when she turns 25.
Just when she thinks that’s their problems solved Terry leaves her and then winds up dead. Was it an accident or something more sinister?

When Erica gets a warning about her safety from Terry’s life, Erica is now left wondering who she can and can’t trust. Why would anyone one to harm her? Could it be due to the money she is due to get? Or is it something to do with Terry’s past.
Can she figure out who is trying to harm her and protect herself before it’s too late?

This story is full of shady character so you will definitely be left guessing who is the person who is trying to harm her. I was completely captivated by this book and I couldn’t put it down.

This is the third book in the series and is another great addition. It was great to get back into these characters, my kids are really starting to grow attached and become invested. They enjoy reading more about the characters and the stories are always so interesting.
The story this time was about a missing cow and we all really enjoyed watching as Kris tried to find it, and the suspected cowboy. The illustrations brought the book to life and made it even more enjoyable. This is a great book that the whole family have loved to read.

This book is a fun and entertaining story that had both my children laughing as they discovered how each of the animals would eat their sandwich. They loved trying to guess what the next animal would do and when we got to the end of the story they wanted to read it all over again.
The book felt so lively and engaging. The author really knows how to connect with his audience and how to bring them as much fun as possible. This is the first book that we have read of his but I can already tell it will not be the last. This is a brilliant story for the family.
