Capturing Fate is a psychological thriller/suspense/action with a dash of paranormal and romance added in. Abbie Roads is one of my go to authors, and I’m so glad I read this fast paced thrill ride. The twistand turns had me on the edge of my seat, and the story had me up long into the early morning hours. I just couldn’t put it down and I have to say it was well worth the lost sleep. When gruesome tragedy uncovers a serial killer’s twisted agenda, Daughter and Dolan must help one another if they hope to survive. Can they stop the body count from rising, or will they find their only purpose from the start was to be pawns? This is a standalone novel but to better understand Dolan, I recommend reading book 1 first. Abbie Roads is a wonderful author. She doesn’t disappoint the reader. Step into another wonderful world full of twists and turns. The best way to describe this series is combination of paranormal and suspense.

Where Flowers Bloom by Nikki Vale, was an unexpected, beautiful, and gripping read that I could not put down. I was drawn in by the blurb and cover, Nikki Vale being a new to me author, but I will for sure be reading more of her books as soon as possible. Vale has a knack for writing a detailed and romantic read with so many more layers than you’d normally expect in a romance read. I was totally sucked in to the beautiful scenery, the past and present tidbits, the haunting that added much needed mystery and intrigue. I even was completely taken by surprise with how this book came to an end. I won’t divulge more details than what you get with the blurb and teasers because this is one that would be sad to ruin with spoils. This is one you do not want to miss though and that I can guarantee.
I have been falling in love with Shannon Nemechek’s Traveler Series from the very beginning, and this exciting third installment is just as much loved and enjoyed. I would highly recommend that you read these books in order to fully understand where you are and how things have gone in each book. We find ourselves right where we left off with the second book so another reason to read in order. I love the adventure and the world building that Nemechek gives us with each of her novels. I felt as if I was right there along with the characters enjoying every moment. This is one you do not want to miss if you find your love time traveling and historical reads. I cannot wait to get a chance to read the next installment!

Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen was such a fun read! I enjoy Carrie Pulkinens writing style and voice. I love how instantly I could relate with Allison and Logan. The pacing was easy to follow and I enjoy all the details. I love the humor laced in the story, it was so easy to laugh along.

This book is original, intriguing and very rich in detail. This is a gripping and thrilling story that will stay with me long after reading it. This story is not for the faint of heart and you need to pay attention to get the full experience, and what an experience it is. You can expect great storytelling from this author as I have come to know. Once you dive into this book you will not be able to put it down until you find out what happens. I found myself at the edge of my seat at times while I was reading this one. There are a lot of layers to this story line so it will keep you entertained throughout. This is the first book that I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. This book is a coming of age book of a young man getting ready to go to college. I absolutely love paranormal books but this author exceeded all my expectations. I was hooked on this story in the first chapter. I could not put it down until I finished the whole book. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
This story takes place in the 80s which is when I was born. Ben O’Rourke has been working his butt off to get into the school of his dreams. He is so excited that he is going to be going to Yale which is one of the best. Ben goes to a party that changes his life. He finds out that his friends were never really friends at all. Ben meets a girl that he can’t stop thinking about, Puppy. He sees that she is not the same like most girls but he doesn’t care. Ben is head over heels with this girl but when he finds out her little secret will Ben believe in her or will he run?

This is the kind of story I can get down with! Intense, fast-paced, and plenty of action as you are brought into Dolan and Daughters story. And while this this the second in the series, you don’t need to read the first one to understand this one. Dolan is an FBI agent and after Daughter meets him, she knows there is something between them. Circumstances prevent that at first and they endure a rough road. Their journey is an epic read!!!

Having read and enjoyed the previous two books in this series about the Adams brothers, I was looking forward to reading this novel and to discovering Sebastian Adams story. Sebastian was the best tenor saxophonist in the country but now he is back home in Chicago teaching private lessons after one to many alcohol fuelled mistakes. Struggling with teaching things become complicated when Maelie Barre moves into the studio next to his. Maelie is a successful and respected violin teacher who has spent her life in her fathers shadow, as he is a world famous violinist. She didn’t have time for men until her new studio neighbour turns out to be a very sexy saxophonist. Even though Seb finds Maelie a bit too uptight and they seem to have constant arguments he can’t deny their chemistry and following a very hot kiss neither can she. However, Maelie is reluctant to upend her quiet life and Seb is supposed to be proving he can go without alcohol and women. I loved Seb and Maelie and their chemistry really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. As usual the storyline flowed well and the plot had plenty going on to keep me happily turning the pages. I was hooked from page one and felt totally immersed in the story. ‘At All’ can be read as a standalone story but I would recommend reading the other books in the series first to get to know the Adams brothers better.

Goddess of Everything by Paul De Blassie III is an original and intriguing story. It is a well written and detailed book that I found really requires your undivided attention. It is a complex story that really creates a vivid image. This is a fantasy story of love, family and loyalty and the truth and evil that encompasses this. There is a lot going on in this book so when to read this book you really have to read it – you can’t skim through parts of rush it as you will be sure to miss some detail. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say I do enjoy his writing style. The level of detail brought to his books is one you don’t often see so, although it takes longer to read, it is refreshing. This was a really good, strong book that, if you are a fan of this genre, should read.

This is an amazing vibrant novel that is filled with drama, magic realism and horror. This is a very in depth written novel. The author has a create way of bring characters to life with words. This takes a bit of a scarier tactic on the ghost side. There were times I thought there might be black shadows in my corner and it creeped me out. This also has romance which is hot and steamy between a couple characters we met in book 1. I met and liked them. Tina is smart and sassy. She owns her sexuality and doesn’t apologize for it. Trent is a cool as a cucumber womanizer. He works had and loves to play. He does have a few secrets that show up in here. The story flows nicely but it has the edgier feel to it. Like I stated before it takes a little turn and is mostly a haunted ghostly story with a side of romance.

This is the 3rd book in the Life is Hell Book 3 and I loved it just as much as the first 2. This has got to be one of my favourite authors. The characters are great and so well written that you can’t help but cheer their wins and cry at their defeats.
This story follows Oren and Teivel.
Oren is a demon hunter but with no training he doesn’t know how to used his skills. He is frustrated and confused and madly in love with Teivel.
Teivel is a demon, he has a checkered past and isn’t on for relationships and settling down however that changes as he realises his feelings for Oren are growing and changing.
Add to this story a baby left on the door with magic powers, someone trying to capture magical beings and our gang of friends trying to bring them down and protect everyone they love and it is a gripping story from start to end.

I have read Marie DeBlassie before and this short story is a little different from what I had read from her before. It is a zombie story but a different flare of zombies. She keeps the story moving so it never gets stagnant. The characters are complex and fully developed. This is about finding love in the darkness of a zombie world. It is a fast read, but I caution because there were a couple of parts that took me by surprise. Just know once you start reading this book you are going to want to finish it. I highly recommend this fast paced story. There may be some gruesome scenes So I would recommend a late teen to adult age for this book.

Love at First Haunt is the first installment in her Haunted Ever After series. Logan is an empath but he doesn’t know. All his life he knew that he could read people’s emotions and now , on top of that, he has a ghost in his house. Everything is driving him to the point of insanity. He meets Alison and his life changes. She teaches him how to block his empath abilities and shows him what live really is. He falls fast and hard for her. One tiny problem, she’s a psychic who’s afraid of ghosts. How can they have their happily ever after when she would have to face her fears? Facing her fears means putting her life at risk.
I enjoy reading Ms. Pulkinen’s books because they are light romantic comedies with a paranormal twist. I noticed with series, she writes on a more serious note. Although there isn’t as much comedy as her other books, it is still filled with romance, wonderful characters and this time, mystery and danger. While the romance blossoms fairly quickly, the suspense has a slow build up that will leave you breathless. This is a great book and a fantastic start to her new series. I am looking forward to book two.

Magic runs rampant in the land of Atzlan del Norte. Evil resides there and has taken hold of the land and people for decades. Evil is smart, it hides in plain sight. The people of Atzlan are very religious. When you follow religion so piously sometimes you are blind to what’s directly under your nose. Gabriel de LaTierra has grown to become a psychiatric healer. He loves helping the children of the orphanage. Mother Juan de la Cruz, Superior of the Nunnery and the Orphanage is his mother. It seems they are a tag team made in heaven. She heals their physical needs and Gabriel heals them mentally. Children start disappearing without reason and Gabriel decides he will get to the bottom of it. He is blinded by his religious beliefs and his love for his mother. Will the love and guidance from his wife help Gabriel open his eyes and see the truth or will he see all he cares about perish horribly in front of him?
Mr. DeBlassie once again wrote a vividly detailed story about the dark side of religion. The story is twisted and complex. Between the nuns capabilities to hurt you just with their thoughts and Gabriel and his wife’s visions, the story was constantly jumping back and forth. I felt like I was bad tripping, not knowing the difference between reality and the visions. I had to constantly reread to figure out what was going on. The blurred lines made it extremely frustrating. It is quite possible that I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to read a book like this. Maybe if I had read it at a different time, I would have enjoyed it more.

This is a collection of many different Steamy Romance stories. Some of the short stories in this collection were to my taste others were not. There is a bit of something for everyone in this Steamy Anthology. As an avid reader Of hot romance I was delighted to find I loved stories that I wouldn’t have usually read and I so enjoyed new genres I had never thought I would find or enjoy. A-Hole by Phoebe Alexander is phenomenonal well written and a bit steamy.

This is the third book in the life is hell series written by Ms. Valkyrie. I simply loved this fast pace short story and story line. The characters are well written and play off each other quirks is awesome.
The gang is back but this time Oren and Teviel are the main characters and they are attractive to each other but there is one problem Oren is a Demon hunter where as Teviel is a Demon can they over come this obstacle and have a happily ever after or will they stay away from each other to stay safe.

Killer Blonde by Allan Evans was a story full of suspense and drama with a dash of comedy. The crime aspect of the novel made it such a fantastic read. The thriller had me at the edge of my seat the whole time.
Investigator Cade Dawkins is given a time-sensitive case the pressure of getting the job done. The governor is putting the pressure. The killer has plans that no one can expect. They turn the investigation into a cat and mouse game; no one knows who is the cat or mouse.
Suspense and thriller isn’t my usual read, but this was such a good book that I might read some more of these kinds of books.

Nite Fire: Slash & Burn is the fourth book in the Nite Fire series by C. L. Schneider, whose other books include the Crown of Stones series. It is an exciting paranormal story with elements of urban fantasy (and also dragons – can’t beat a good dragon story!) By now, Dahlia Nite is an established heroine, and has been through more than her fair share of scrapes. She continues to be tenacious and resourceful, if often impatient. Her previous adventure has given her new powers which could be incredibly powerful, if she learns how to use them. This is a fast-paced, action-filled book. There’s a lot going on, and plenty of clues to put together as the story progresses. It’s definitely a page-turner! This book doesn’t really work as a standalone. It’s definitely worth reading the previous three books that introduce the characters and set the stage for what happens! For me, this is a five-star read. Another great book in the series! I’d recommend the series to fans of urban fantasy who like plenty of action!

Paul is back at it again with another absolutely phenomenal work of art. Goddess of Everything is one of those books that you will have trouble putting down, and before you know it, it’s 5 am, and you definitely need to go to bed but just HAVE to finish the book first. I loved the idea of this book when i read the blurb, and i am so glad i picked it up! Gabriel’s story was full of amazing, vividly detailed writing. Paul knows just how to make you disappear into the world of his words with his amazing character development, vivid imagery, and a plot that will keep you hooked from start to finish. This isn’t my first book from Paul, but so far it is absolutely my favorite. I recommend this to absolutely everyone, no matter what your preferred genre is!

I honestly did not know what to expect from this book, I went into it not knowing what it would be about, even going back in the middle of reading to read the blurb still didn’t tell me what to really expect with the content of the book. Where flowers bloom is about so much more than a romance, well more than just one romance, and part of the story is set in a time where anything unconventional was not allowed. It’s so much more complex and full to the bursting with love but also a fair amount of pain, suffering, and hate. Kendyll has and continues to deal with so much in her life that I really felt for her. I did feel the ending was a bit rushed and slightly confusing but it didn’t detract from the story at all and your able to gather your own thoughts with the openness of the ending. This book had lots of twists, and turns to keep the reader interested, and so much mystery. I even laughed a time or two despite the serious, gut wrenching tone of the story. It’s descriptive to the point these places and people felt so real. It was a good, clean romance so nothing was to descriptive so it would appeal to most readers young and old. Where flowers bloom was my first book from Ms. Vale but it definitely won’t be my last.
What happens when you become the pawn in a game but when the game gets real what will happen to the friendship built.
Ellie, Drew and Jason have grown up together and are inseparable but when the boys band, Razes Hell starts getting recognised and the press pick up on tension between the two brothers Ellie unfortunately is stuck in the middle.
So as they go on Ellie realises that she is drawn more to one brother and it’s more than friendship she wants, she feels its felt by Drew but will her pleading love to one brother break up the friendship and cause a rip in the brothers relationship forever.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I thought it was a wonderful story with great characters and a well-developed plot. I love when an author draws you into the story and you do not know where the fantasy and reality line is drawn. Although at first, I did not take to the character of Jason as you go through the book you get to understand that Ellie and Drew have always been there to kind of mop up the decisions which he makes but when he loses that some what you do feel for him in the end. I loved the interactions between Ellie and Drew and seeing how these two really felt about each other it was wonderful to see them grow.
This is a brilliant story with wonderful characters and I can’t read the next instalment and more books by Kyra Lennon in the future.

WOW!! What a book! This is my first read by this author and after reading this I have no idea why I haven’t read everything available.
This one had me all messed up (in a good way) right from the start. I loved every single thing about this story, even the parts that totally ticked me off LOL I was completely unsure till towards the very end how this story was going to play out and I love it when I read a book and it absolutely can not be considered predictable.
Not going to give any part of this away so will mention how I connected immediately with these characters, I also could visualize everything written and really felt like I was there. This was amazing. The very best part for me is that this is not my genre, I normally can not get into stories like this, but this author blew those thoughts away and I want to read so much more of her work now!
It seems this is the 2nd in this series but I only know that from looking at the book list so it absolutely can be read as a standalone. I was never confused and never even caught on that there was another book before this one.
Read this, I’m not even kidding..it is a WOW kind of book that I know I will want to reread in the future.
This is not my first read by this author and I keep trying every book I see because I do like the writing style but as hard as I try I can not get into this genre. This book did keep me on the edge of my seat but also had me confused through a lot of it. I did enjoy many parts so it may just be an off day for me and this one takes really paying attention to understand what you’re reading. I have added it to my reread in the future pile because this author has a way of weaving his words to create an awesome story and those that really love this genre will probably be head over heels for it.

This was a really interesting book to listen to. I did wonder when I read the synopsis how the narrator would get the authors words to come across as they are meant but I was really impressed. The story itself was really emotional at times and hearing Quinn’s words read to me felt like she was really telling me her story.
I really enjoyed listening to Anguish and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Another fantastic read from this very talented author. I absolutely adore reading her books; I am so invested in the characters and their stories from the beginning until the very end. I can already tell that this series is going to be just as amazing as her previous one; Twisted Secrets is full to the brim of action and romance. Xander and Riley’s story was great to read, I really enjoyed the characters – especially Xander who is everything I wanted him to be and more!! I am so excited to read the rest of this series! I can’t wait for more!!

I am loving this series so much! I really loved book 1 and couldn’t wait to dive into book 2 and I wasn’t disappointed at all! Kayla and Jaxon were just wonderful to read about, I loved them both from the very beginning and I was so invested in their story throughout. I loved that when they met again there was this lovely genuine connection between them. Both of them were really lovely characters. There were some unexpected twists in the story too which made the story exciting to read. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series!
