I loved reading the book At All (The Adams Brothers Book 3) by Mindy McKinley. It is a wonderful romance story by an author whose stories and writing have never disappointed me. I loved the characters of Maelie Barre and Sebastian Adams. There is a strong attraction between them. What does their future hold? Read this book to find out. I loved the bantering back and forth between the characters. The story is well-written and kept my attention until the final page. The author makes the story and the characters come alive. This is a book that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Don’t miss out on a romantic, entertaining, and intriguing story. I highly recommend it,

Goddess Of Everything is a riveting supernatural thriller by Paul DeBlassie III. As I have come to expect from Mr. DeBlassie, this has an original concept that lept right off the pages. It’s full of vividly detailed descriptions, intriguing developments, and unique, interesting and well-developed characters. This book blends psychological and spirituality into a tightly woven tale, all of which had me turning the pages to find out what would happen next and how everything would play out in the end. This has a complex and multilayered storyline which will pull you in and grip you the whole way through. It isn’t a light and fluffy read- it takes some chewing to get through, as the darker elements take hold. The story is set in the mystical mythical Atzlan del Norte where we meet Gabriél de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer, and his wife Consuela. With children disappearing from the local orphanage, where his mother is also the Mother Superior, Gabriel finds himself thrust into mind-bogglingly twisted tale. When evil, love for your mother, loyalty, spirituality, and the truth mash, it spells for a great story- and this book is well worth the read to find out exactly what happens.

Bound by Secrets is the second novel in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. It is an intense story, following Kayla, who is running away from an abusive ex and also offered a second chance with her childhood crush.
Kayla Kane is back in town visiting her parents after running away from her life. While visiting the local coffee shop to get her caffeine fix, she runs into her brother’s best friend and her childhood crush.
Jaxon is Xander’s brother from the first Deadly Isles Special Ops novel. He is currently trying out being a cop after being honorably discharged out of the Navy SEALS. Running into Kayla is just the opportunity he needs to revisit the past and try to win her back.
I love the characters of this series and the build up to Tyler’s story in novel three. The intensity and twist at the end were amazing! A very well written book!

First of all let me say this book is extremely descriptive and the authors power of writing like this is extremely well done. Has she seen what she thought she has is was it a vampire. As a massive vampire book fan I have got to say this book stands out above alot of others. I feel as though I have been transported to another dimension.

The Mystery of the Lost Avenger is the fourth book in Linda Maria Frank’s Annie Tillery Mystery series. Aimed at confident young readers, the series follows Annie, who in this book is getting ready to go to college, as she solves intriguing mysteries. The Mystery of the Lost Avenger takes readers back in time to 1943, to learn about the women involved in aviation during WWII. Annie’s great-grandmother, Charlotte, was a WASP, flying planes to transport them to military bases. When a note written by Charlotte is found in the remains of a crashed plane which disappeared in mysterious circumstances, the whole family gets involved in untangling the mystery of what really happened. I loved that this book focused on a part of history I didn’t know much about, and it would be a great read for mystery-loving children who are learning about WWII in school. It was also really fun learning about how Annie, as well as Charlotte back in the 1940s and the professionals at NCIS, approached solving mysteries. There are codes to crack, and forensic evidence to process. For me, this is a five-star book. It’s a really fun read and gave me lots to think about. I haven’t read any of the earlier books in the series and was able to follow the story without any issues, but now that I’ve read it I’m keen to go back and read about the other adventures Annie’s had!

Where Flowers Bloom: A Romantic, Modern To Historical, Mystery, by Nikki Vale is an interesting yet surprising story. It’s ideal if you are looking for a different take on a romance.
Kendyll is a romance writer who is desperate to find her very own happy ending. This is a story that is full of emotional and physical conflict. Kendyll is torn between her feelings and what she was brought up to believe is right. I very much enjoyed this story, I felt a little lost at times as the story floats between the past and the present, it was sometimes a little confusing. However, the story kept me hooked with the wonderful writing and the well-thought-out characters. I was intrigued to see where the book would take me, and it was not what I expected.
Where Flowers Bloom: A Romantic, Modern to Historial, Mystery by Nikki Vale is a well written story that fully caught my attention. It is a story that jumps between past and present and has you caught up so fully in what is happening that I found myself surprised a few times with the direction the author suddenly took the story. The book starts off slowly and builds up bit by bit. This for me just meant I became more invested in the story with each page I read. I thought the characters were interesting to read about. The main character came across as really strong which I enjoyed. It added so much to the overall story. As the first book that I have read by this author I thought I was a great introduction. I enjoyed the writing style and overall pace of the book and thought she has a great combination of good story telling and strong, interesting characters. I am already looking forward to reading more of her books on the future.
Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber. This book is very emotional and could have some emotional impact on some. Its the story of Ben who is a very wealthy family so he attends a very wealthy private school where you are meant to become a very wealthy successful adult. During the summer after graduation he attends a party where everyone is drinking and doing drugs. Ben is very insecure so he falls right in line with all the partying. He meets a girl named Claire and talks to her most of the evening when he goes to find her to ask her a question he finds her passed out on the bed with several of his friends raping her. He locks the door and flees which ends up haunting him still 40 years later. Finding out that Claire has never married makes him feel even worse. Could he have changed that by helping her that night. Where his friends really that shallow and horrible that they think they could treat people anyway they want? Sometimes privilege is not all its cracked up to be. Even though he wasn’t the one who attacked Claire he is still reeling from that night. Wonderful coming of age story but could have triggers.

At All is the 3rd book in the Adams Brothers series by Mindy McKinley. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone. As this is such a great series I would recommend that you read all 3 books, so it would make sense to then read them in order so as not to create spoilers. Each book contains the story of one of the Adams brothers. Having read the first 2, I could not wait to read Sebastian’s story as he seemed to be such a tortured soul. I absolutely adored Sebastian and Maelie’s story. Tenor saxophone player Sebastian has been thrown out of his band due to his problems with alcohol and women. He’s to spend 6 months sober and celibate before the band will allow him back in. Teaching saxophone during his 6 month sabbatical Sebastian meets fellow teacher, violinist Maelie Barre who has demons of her own to deal with. Mindy McKinley has written a very entertaining book. I loved the storyline and Sebastian and Maelie provided so many laughs and amusing situations which made this book a pleasure to read. It’s not all fun and games though and the path to true love never runs smooth and this story is not without it’s trials and tribulations for the couple. I also adored catching up with the couples from the first to books in the series and getting updates in their lives. My only issue with this series is that the boy’s mother didn’t have more than 3 sons as I’d really love to read more from this amazing family.

I enjoyed this story. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a romance to history story that is a little different but in a good way. I enjoyed how Kendyll goes from the present to the past. Wes is a contractor that is hired to bring life back into a mansion but will he fix more than just the mansion? There is an attraction that they cannot deny between them. The spirit that pulls them together is hard to fight off, will it put these two together? There is more to this mansion than what they realize. This is a great story about a spirited mansion that comes to life. The plot kept me turning pages to the end as it was fast paced. This was an entertaining spirited story that was fun to read. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this story. It is a teenager/ college romance. It tells the story of a young girl who is away from her family learning to adjust to college life and everything that goes with it.
Amanda has a plan. She knows what she wants and has the plan in place to achieve it. The last thing she wants him love.
That is until she meets Doug and he turns her world upside down. Now Amanda has choice to make and these choice have consequences on her plans. Add to this the stress of being alone without parents to guide her and things start to spiral out of control.
Can she regain control of her life again? Is Doug good for her or bad? Can she have love and also succeed in her studies?

The Traveler: Chimera Rising (The Book of Eleanor 3) by Shannon Nemechek is a time travel paranormal fantasy story. It is fast paced and takes up where the second book left off. The story is well written and keeps you immersed in the story as the characters are transported back through time to 1692 Scotland and meet up with an old foe. It is full of intrigue and danger, magic and spies, drama and suspense and let’s not forget the prophecy. Once again Shannon’s vivid narrative makes it easy to love and easily imagine her characters and the worlds she has created.
I’ve said it before but if you love Outlander, you will love this.

Hungry Business: A Short Story by Maria DeBlassie Four Stars
Hungry Business is a very short book (only 17 pages) by Maria DeBlassie. I read this book while I was waiting for a doctors appointment. At first I didn’t understand what was going on, but after a couple pages I caught on, but I thought to myself…. probably reading this book while at a hospital in the time of coronavirus was creeping me out about the undead. The overall experience was a really well written book about looking for love in all the wrong places. I’m glad I picked it.

Abbie Roads is one of my favorite authors. Capturing Fate has become one of my favorite books. The story’s plot line grabbed me from the first page until the last page. The story has an energy about it. The attention to detail creates a vivid picture in my mind’s eye. The characters are complex and complicated. The characters have been so written with such detail that they seem real. This story has everything that would make it a great story. It takes me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend this book.

A wonderful, entertaining, and gripping read. I was hooked from the beginning. This is the second book in this series and can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you start with the first one. I was so drawn into this story that I felt like I was right there along for the ride. Ethan and Serena have chemistry off the charts but neither one of them want to admit how they feel to each other. Ethan has a big family and I loved meeting every one of them. There are great characters in this story. This book is full of magic, suspense, danger, romance, and family. This is a must read. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next one.

THE BUCCANEERS OF St. FREDERICK ISLAND by LINDA MARIA FRANK. This is such a fun book. It took me back to 3rd grade and reading The Hardy Boys Mysteries. Its so good that I read it in one setting. It will keep you turning the pages until you realize you are finished. Its the story of a group of 9th graders who have money stolen from them that they raised to help the homeless. While trying to solve the mystery and capture the thief they from a group called the Buccaneers and have meetings in their clubhouse. At one point their clubhouse burns down but that doesn’t stop them from trying to solve the mystery. They even have the support of a few adults on the island. This book will take you back to the fun days of your youth and those wonderful friendships. Excellent read.

I absolutely love this author and loved, loved, loved this book. I’m pretty much devoured it. This is a coming of age/ new age romance. Amanda is a freshman in college who had it all planned out, that is until she got injured. She then found herself depending on others for help. And the crush she has is going her way either. She isn’t handling things well and is slowly slipping. Can she pull herself out of this slump before its to late. I loved all the characters even Doug. I might have been crushing on Zach a bit. Find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I highly recommend this book heck anything from this Author.

Is the second book in the series of the Broderick Coven. This story just keeps getting deeper and deeper as the plot line grows. Ethan and Serena have such amazing chemistry. They definitely get you wishing you had thier chemistry. There are so many twist and turns you never know where youe toe is going next. A great read for any lover of witches and parnamol activities.

Kayla and JAXON haven’t seen each other for years. Bumping into each other years later. Kieran’s has pasted away and dealing with the grief is still causing agnoy for Kayla. Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book Two) by AJ Renee was a really good read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This is the second in the series, and although I haven’t read the first installment yet, I didn’t feel too confused without reading the first book. I feel like reading the first book would definitely help, but I was fine without it. The characters were really well written to me, and I enjoyed the storyline. It was a very entertaining novel, with a lot of romance and some really steamy scenes. I can’t wait to read the next installment! Also as a warning, this definitely ends with a cliffhanger!

Goddess of Everything is a psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages. This is not a quick read as there are many layers to the story. The imagery paints a vivid picture that you have to take your time to savor, and the characters are well developed and you feel as if you are living right alongside of them as you read. The author has done a great job of blending psychological and spiritual elements to weave a wonderfully dark tale.

Second Chance Spirit: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. As with any book that I have read by this author it is highly entertaining and one I just couldn’t put down. Carrie Pulkinen has a way of creating brilliant story supported by strong and exciting characters. You really connect with them and get drawn into the story – this one no exception. Right from the word go I was hooked. Tina and Trent were so good – I loved the fact that they had history together as it felt like it added even more depth to the story. The book is a great addition to this series and it has made me even more excited to read the next one.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this read but it was the season of love and a short story at only 17 pages so I figured why not! This book did not disappoint and packed a punch for the shortness of it. What a world that Maria DeBlassie formed so quickly. We get a unique spin on a love story that takes place after a zombie breakout changes the world and the dating landscape. I enjoyed how this flowed fast and well but also left room for more if the author wanted in the future to make more. I think this is the perfect alternative read to the normal sappy romances we get inundated with in the Valentine’s season.

This is the story of a summer, a summer unlike any other in Ben O’Rourke’s life and one which will change his life forever and one which is brought back to him while he makes a phone call 36 years after it occurred. Ben is the typical white prep school privileged boy who has gotten into an Ivy League College and is in a group of friends who are the same and made to grow up and live lives like their privileged parents
It is the summer of 1983 and Ben has just graduated from high school and is going to parties with his friend Clint and the rest of the guys he hangs out with, but this one particular party, Ben has been getting stoned and drunk, he talks to people, one girl in particular, Claire talks to him longer than most, so while searching for her to tell him where the bathroom is, he accidentally falls upon something which is as distasteful to him as anything could be, but in his current state is nothing that he can do anything to help the girl involved, apart from to lock a door and hope for the best. After attending mass and trying unsuccessfully to concentrate on it, Ben decides to call his sister when he is alone in the house and ask for advice about the situation he cannot stop thinking about, but he is basically told to forget it ever happened and move on with his life, but when he finds out that it is Claire, he is even more disgusted with those involved.
As the days move ahead and graduation and homecoming are looming, thoughts turn to that and the holiday to Europe he is going on with his family, but Ben is still trying to avoid the girl, especially when their schools are collaborating on the school events and when they are both over, Ben, Clint and their friends head to another wild party, but when Clint leaves him on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere after to make his own way home. As he is trying to walk around, he experiences some unusual things and blames the things he sees on all the drink and drugs he consumed at the party, fortunately, he is saved from walking any further when he is picked up by two siblings, Puppy and her brother in a beaten up old truck, it turns out he was trespassing on their land, so he apologises and offers to pay for the petrol they used to take him home.
The next time he talks to Clint, it turns out that he wants to go and buy some flowers for his mum, so he agrees to go and so they go out of town to get them and it turns out that the girl who picked him up works their and the way Clint behaves around her is awful, makes Ben come to the realisation that maybe it isn’t a good thing to be friends with Clint if he treats him and others in that way. It is after this that Ben decides not to go on holiday with his family and that he needs the time to become used to being on his own instead, they aren’t happy about it but they agree and this is where Ben’s real summer starts.
This coming of age romance is a whirlwind of emotions and experiences which are well worth reading as you experience everything with Ben and relive the summer which changed his life.

I was thoroughly ready and excited to get my hands on this third book in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. I knew that the adventure that awaited me would suck me in and keep me until the last page, so I settled in and dove right in. This book in my opinion should be read after the first two. We get familiar with the landscape and the world that has been created by Valkyrie. It is a vivid one and you will feel as if you have dove right into the story and are experiencing things right along with the characters. I really was excited to see what Teivel and Oran would get as far as a story. I must point out too that I normally don’t enjoy M/M genre reads because they can turn into a bit overwritten and with not much couth so the romance is lost for me, but this one was just right and not overly written that it was a beautiful love story layer to the book. I won’t give much more details to the story away because this is one world you must experience for yourself! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment!!

This college romance will sweep you into its pages and have you embracing every emotion. Copeland does a beautiful job weaving this story well and having it feel very relatable regardless of which stage of life the reader may be in. I enjoyed following Amanda on this journey. Recommended good clean reading.

I know what you are thinking this book is about… that cover and title really draws your attention right away. I had never read/listened to anything from JD Frettier before so I had no idea what to expect. JD Frettier, you are a clever mind! I adored this fast ride to the afterlife. At just under fifty pages we get a big story in a small package that makes you feel the gambit of emotions.
In Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine you have the story of Bonnie McMillan. In the summer of 1969 bonne and her husband met at the infamous Woodstock. A life of hippie style love and sex, is what they have lived for a wonderful forty-seven years. All of that is changed and ripped away in one night of raunchy fun together. Bonnie finds herself in what they call ‘the green room’. She embarks on a mission to reinvent herself and find a way back to ‘sixty-nine’. What a journey it is too! I can’t wait to see what will come next in the second book in the series.

I have yet to come across a India Kells novel that I didn’t absolutely adore and devour and this one, Night Justice, is no exception to the rule. I do enjoy the way that India Kells can weave a deep and emotional, yet gripping story that has a clear and loud plot mixed in with the passion she writes so well. I sincerely love the suspense novels that she does and this one would have to be on the top of that list of favs.
In Night Justice, A Chicago Vigilantes Novel, we get to follow Orla, a determined reporter with a mission. She must find a way to stop the distribution of a new drug that is terrorizing Chicago while also searching for a Vigilante with his own ideas of justice at play in the city. These will develop a team that will be unstoppable if they can get over their feelings and insecurities. Will she be able to do all of this and find love in the process? This book will take you on a crazy ride through Chicago and bend your mind as you try to figure out all pieces of the puzzle and where they fit! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series and any others that India Kells will grace us with soon!
