This is the first book that I have read from this author…but it won’t be the last. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster!
Calum and Olivia dated briefly back in high school, until Olivia dumped him in a public and humiliating way. Calum channeled his frustration and anger into training and now, years later, is an up-and-coming MMA fighter. Imagine his surprise when he goes out to celebrate his first professional win and the girl who was too good for him in high school is now the woman serving him his drinks. He decides that flaunting his success in her face and humiliating her, like she did to him, is going to be his revenge. However, there are feelings other than hate that they have and maybe things weren’t exactly as they seemed in their past.
This story has so many layers. I don’t want to give anything away because it was s shock to me and took me a minute to catch my breath when I understood what was happening. I found myself pulling for them each to come clean with each other…it was frustrating the way they would dance around what was really happening (but it made the book more dramatic…so I get why it was needed). I am glad the story took turns I didn’t see coming and ended much different than I was guessing. T. Christensen has a way with words that pulled me in and kept me engaged for the entire story… and I loved it!

Wow!! I loved the first two books in the series so I was really looking forward to the next one and what a read it was! I was gripped from beginning to end. The author has an amazing ability to drag you into the story straight away and I’m still wondering is this the end or not?!? The twists and turns in the story definitely kept me guessing throughout! Libby was a fantastic female lead! Strong, fierce and determined! I really enjoyed reading about her. I really liked Jake too, not knowing what he was thinking or going to do made for a very exciting read. The story could be read as a standalone but with overlapping characters from the first two (and because they are also fantastic reads) I would highly recommend they are read in order! I definitely recommend How as a fantastic 5 star read!

I am so lucky to have found this novel by CA Miconi and JB Havens, both new to me authors that I have got to do some more reading of in the very near future! I loved this novel and how well it flowed and created this little town and characters that I found it very hard to deny myself the love for. I was only going to read a few chapters in the morning before some errands and ended up rescheduling a lot of my day to read this novel in one go because I just couldn’t pull myself away. The hardest part of the book was the ending because I just could never get enough of this. I found solace in the fact this is book one of a series and I am so excited to see what other love stories we get from Green Springs.
Meg has been running hard, long, and fast from the past demons of her life when she stumbles into the town of Green Springs and smack dab into the life of Drew. Both of these people have a delicate and sad past that has made them the people they are today. Drew sees the pain in Meg’s eyes the moment he meets her and he wants so badly to help heal the brokenness she feels. He will need her to ‘be brave’ with him and trust him enough to stay and try. But Meg has a deep and long past and trust and bravery are not her strong suit because of it. Will she be able to be brave and stay? Can these two be the pieces they need to put themselves back together? For that and the beautiful story these two have you will have to trust me and one click this novel today! You won’t be sad you took a trip to Green Springs. I can’t wait to go back!

I have read and loved all the Hero High books and love following along as Friday finds her way in this unique world Mina Chara has invented. HERO HIGH: DENIAL (BOOK #1) ~
This was my first read for me by Mina Chara. I will say that it was a good book overall and I appreciated the concept by the time I had it finished but it did take me a bit to get into the flow of the story. I think a lot of that was because this is a new series and the first book so we got a bit of set up information that may just have been a bit on the heavy side. Otherwise, this book is a quick read with a lot of surprise action that will keep you guessing until the end.
Friday is our main gal and she is currently in a predicament of learning that she has powers that set her aside from the typical seventeen year old. When her father learns of this he sends her off to a school far away from the family. She finds herself in Hero High and facing the new life her magic has formed for her. This is a short read but I still found myself reading past my bedtime to find out how things would eventually play out for Friday. I look forward to getting my hands on the next Hero High novel, Anger.
HERO HIGH: ANGER (BOOK #2) ~
This is the second book in the Hero High series from Mina Chara and I would highly recommend that you read the first book in the series before you start with this one. This book does pick right up where we left off with book one and the characters continue on through as well as grow as you read. This is a young adult book so written towards that genre and I rather enjoyed it still. This series packs a punch and gives you lots of different story tidbits to please just about any reader. Everything from adventure, action, drama, mystery and suspense is thrown in to keep you on the edge of your seat reading to find out if the characters will make it through whatever task they are plagued with at the time. I look forward to seeing where the story will go next in the next book to come.
HERO HIGH: BARGAINING (BOOK #3) ~
This series has really taken off with this third installment of Bargaining, Hero High book #3. I have read the other books in the series up to this one and I would recommend that you do as well to understand and follow the progression of things with Friday and the supporting characters. In this one we find Friday in a new slew of complications. Her best friend, Jake, and their relationship is falling to pieces, while the rest of the world around her seems to also be falling more and more apart each day. She has made great strides on the show and the producers have placed her in the Gold team but she starts to wonder what it really takes to be a hero and if she is going about things in the right way. I love how things seem realistic even for a dystopian novel, things could be possible and that makes the allure of these reads that much more drawing. I look forward to seeing what we will get next in the latest and newest installment in the series. I will definitely be back to see what will take place.

This is a dark, romantic suspense about a reporter named Orla who is defending her city from being overtaken by a new illicit drug, and in doing so, encounters the Vigilante, who is essentially a criminal trying to bring about justice. The character development and the relationships were fleshed out and complex, and I really enjoyed all the drama. There was plenty of action, lots of romance, and this was definitely a page-turner.

This is my first, but certainly not last, read by T. Christensen and I am very much happy I stumbled upon this book. Humiliating Revenge is a deep and a bit dark young adult romance with lots of secrets, revenge, tension, and more. I think that this book has a bit of something for everyone with the amount of topics it covers, but should probably have a bit of a trigger warning for some with abuse. I don’t think the author struggled and it was written with a poetic ease and respect for the subject matter at hand. You can tell this is a topic close to the author’s heart as they write with a noticeable passion.
We find Calum Breen and Olivia in this novel, and watch as they work through some dark and scary past situations to find the light at the end of the tunnel. These two have a history but it is loaded with secrets that need to be known for the full story to be absorbed by everyone. Will the secrets come out and will these two find an ending of happiness? I won’t go into much more detail because this book has several twists and turns that you don’t want to have ruined for you before you find them out yourself! I can’t wait to see what will come next or what else is available from T. Christensen!

I have yet to come across a India Kells novel that I didn’t absolutely adore and devour and this one, Night Justice, is no exception to the rule. I do enjoy the way that India Kells can weave a deep and emotional, yet gripping story that has a clear and loud plot mixed in with the passion she writes so well. I sincerely love the suspense novels that she does and this one would have to be on the top of that list of favs.
In Night Justice, A Chicago Vigilantes Novel, we get to follow Orla, a determined reporter with a mission. She must find a way to stop the distribution of a new drug that is terrorizing Chicago while also searching for a Vigilante with his own ideas of justice at play in the city. These will develop a team that will be unstoppable if they can get over their feelings and insecurities. Will she be able to do all of this and find love in the process? This book will take you on a crazy ride through Chicago and bend your mind as you try to figure out all pieces of the puzzle and where they fit! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series and any others that India Kells will grace us with soon!

Libby has been given the biggest case of her career it has taken her a year to get to this place, standing ready to breach the home of the suspect. Once they take stock of the haul they have discovered one of her chauvinistic colleague takes a unflattering picture and once this goes viral will her life be the same again.
Rocking up to the office the next day she is greeted by reporters and is then put on suspension by her boss due to the publicity may hinder her concentration and cause her to loose focus in her day to day job. With this ploy she is angry and frustrated with the boys club and goes home with her tail between her legs, but when strange things starts to happen to her she worries that the added attraction has caused her to have stalker who maybe dangerous. With the help of her handsome next neighbour they go on an adventure which they both could not have dreamed would of happen. What happens when they find out who the stalker is, what is the motive behind it all and will they be able to find them? You will have to read the book to find out.
I have already read the other two books in this series and although the characters do weave through the book it can be read as a stand alone book. The story is gripping and twists and turns through the lives of Jake and Libby. I also love the character of Libby although at times I did feel her a bit helpless as she is supposed to be a bad ass FBI agent but I still enjoyed it greatly. The character of Jake who is mysterious and aloof is a great counter to Libby and the chemistry is brilliant between them.
I would recommend this story and the others in this series and can’t wait to read more by this author in the future.

I have read novels by Tricia Copeland before and loved them but this one has to take the cake and be my top favorite of hers. I love how Copeland gave this classic of a romance read and happily ever after and turned it around to something unique and different that we never knew we were missing. I loved how this book gives us a look at the complicated life that is dating as a young woman. We see the main character Chloe working through several different relationships and the emotions and changes in her that take place. I am not going to give the rundown of the relationships because I think that is where a lot of the character development is involved in this novel. It would just ruin too much of the plot but I can tell you that this book explores all of the issues that you could think of and makes you feel a little less insecure of the history you may have. I laughed and cheered for and with Chloe and I foresee a lot of others finding that within the pages of the novel. I look forward to seeing what we will see next from Tricia Copeland.
I can’t even begin to describe the level of love I have for true crime… bring me a comfy blanket, warm drink and a platform with all the true crime and I am one happy little being. I enjoy the intrigue that the idea of something with a real stake in history withdrawals from the reader or one watching. It elicits empathy and emotions that tend to be something we need to explore as humans much more. I Iove how this novel sweeps you away and you almost forget that you are reading a real actual story that has real lives and real emotions are being laid out with blood sweat and tears, those real emotions and events pulled out of the characters. This book has a lot of moving pieces to show you the way things play out with and accuracy that will leave your heart beating fast. The characters become an integral part of your life and you find yourself pulling for all the justice that is deserved being served up. I look forward to finding more books within the true crime genre and seeing what else is available from A.J. Ullman.

I must start with the fact this is a continuation of a previously started series, The Natural Forces books from Jean Gill. I think it helps a lot to read the first book as it is the next chapter in Mielitta’s life but it is possible to enjoy the book on its own probably. I love how Jean Gill writes, it is somewhat poetic and the flow is one that transports you to a whole new world with an endless amount of possibilities for magic and adventure. I often feel as If I am on an escapade and far away when I read Gill’s works. This book did the same and flowed perfectly. I loved reading about where Mielitta goes and her adventures in the Forest once she breaks through. Love becomes a factor that Mielitta must work her way through the complicated feelings that come from that. I loved the way things never felt forced or over explained, something that I tend to struggle with when reading the dystopian novels. I cannot wait to see what we will get next from the talented Jean Gill!

This is the second book in the Natural Forces collection. I read book 1 as well, and my opinion is you need to read them in order, they are not standalones. Arrows tipped starts right where we left off from book 1. I love this series and Jean Gill as an author. This book is different in the way she wrote the first as it focuses on more than just Mielitta. Kermon is front and center this time around, and Jean did an amazing job with his character. Part of the synopsis says “Trapped in a society he loathes and fears, Mage Smith Kermon’s mission becomes a test of survival. Can he remain loyal to Mielitta in the double life he leads as her spy in the Citadel? He is quickly embroiled in deceit and subterfuge, forcing him into actions that make him doubt himself and everything he values.” Worded perfectly and a wonderful read.

This is the 3rd book in the stalker series and wow what a book. It was gripping and i couldn’t put it down.

Arrows Tipped with Honey is the exciting second book in Jean Gill’s Natural Forces series. It is a fantasy series, with a heroine who has a magical connection with bees and is seeking to overcome a corrupt city that shuns all connections with the natural world. Following the climactic battle of the previous book, the Citadel believe they are victorious. Sure, the Queen of the Warrior Bees has made some demands of them when they forged their peace treaty, but they have their children back and are able to return to life as normal. But the Queen, Mielitta, is playing a long game. With a spy inside the city, and a generation of children who have seen the forest and tasted the honey, Mielitta hopes she can change things for the better. Already in the first book, this was a really well developed fantasy world. The rules of the Citadel are clear, and the secrets it hides intriguing. There is a contrast between the strictly ordered Citadel and the wild forest which can seem cliché, but contributes to the power of the story. There is a depth to the characters, particularly coming into the second book as they adapt to their new roles and relationships. For me, this is a five star book. It’s a great fantasy series for young adults who are concerned about the environment. Readers should start with the first book, Queen of the Warrior Bees, as the story in the second book follows on from the events of the previous book.

This is the fifth book in the Italian saga, and can be a standalone read, but I have loved following Leda as she’s grown up. I love the setting in landscapes of Italy, including Milan, Padua, and Garda Lake, but I also love the introduction of new and old characters and how Leda’s relationships with them are still so complicated, even as she starts her biotechnology major in college. I related to Leda so much in this book, being an undergrad university student myself. Leda is such a layered female character who’s learning about life and love as she goes along. There’s some gorgeous writing in this one. I enjoyed this more than previous books in this series.

Humiliating Revenge is a YA romance novel by T. Christensen. The story starts with Olivia. Working in a bar one evening she has to wait on her highschool sweetheart Calum who is now a successful athlete, a champion in MMA, and back in town. Reminded of how she brutally ended their relationship Olivia does her best to avoid Calum, but he won’t let her escape that easily. He wants to humiliate her, he wants revenge. At first Calum sees Olivia as nothing but the stuck up princess she let him believe she was, but he soon realises things aren’t what they seem. Can he help Olivia before it’s too late? I loved the main characters of the story. Olivia, despite how she was portrayed, is strong yet sweet and vulnerable, and as the story develops you want someone to swoop in and give her the happy ending she deserves. Calum is definitely an alpha male, and I would love to know a bit more about his character. He is just what Olivia needs and I really wanted them to get their happy ending. This is my first time reading a book by this author, but I will definitely look for more in the future.

5 Star Night Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 1) by India Kells is a dark romance suspense that I I couldn’t put down once I started reading. This Author never ceases to amaze me, her style of writing grabs your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end . This story is packed with enough twist and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what happens next. Orla is a reporter determined to Stop the distribution of a new drug. And find the vigilante who has there own brand of justice . These two have serious chemistry but can she learn to trust him? What does their future look like ? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Spouse Trap: Madeline Dawkins Mysteries (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 1) by Cynthia Hamilton
This book was everything the synopsis said and more. So often I read about the book and it doesn’t quite deliver the way I expected, which is on me.
Madeleine did everything a woman in her situation would have done in the beginning, but as she started processing and thinking with her brain instead of emotions she wanted answers and dis she get them or what?
The emotions were flying all around during this book. Grief, anger, pain, humor are just a few and I could feel some of them with Madeleine.
There are a few things I felt like were left hanging, but since it’s a series and I have only just completed reading this book I’ll wait to see if some of my loose ends get tied up.
I highly recommend giving this book a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Kat’s Conundrum (Raven and Hummingbird Book 3) by Nikki Broadwell 4 Stars!!!!
I love finding new authors. I also have a bad habit of reading series out of order but that’s just me. I really love fantasy based books with Gods and Demigods. This book totally filled that. The author has a very original story base and has a very good style that brings the characters to life. I really felt as though I was part of the story.
Kat really is a character I could relate to. She faces some obstacles in this story and my heart was just ripped in two as she deals with her love’s disappearance. I like how the author balances the drama in the story and I like how they come together as a family. I really related to Kat as she had to fight to prove herself and really rediscover herself. When her dad is stripped of his powers and it affects Kat and also the border being closed makes it worse I like how she continues to prove herself and fight. I really couldn’t put this book down and I really cannot wait to read more from this author and the series.

Just the Way You Are by Allison M. Boot is a fairytale like story that delves into the world of disabilities. It is nice to see an author use something that isn’t always talked about as a main storyline. The way this author handled the topic was in a sensitive and compassionate manner. I did think at times though because of her focus on the main character being disabled it did leave some things lacking in the writing. Parts felt rushed and other parts felt like it was stuck together a little awkwardly. However I did enjoy the characters overall and I liked that the author was trying to achieve. This was a fun, easy to read book and a great way to while away an afternoon.

Phoenix Team One: Selected (Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team Book 1) by Claire Luana was a fun fantasy read. I have never read a serialized book like this before, the fantasy world and all that happens had me hooked. I loved all the details and how they were written into the story so smoothly. I loved Zariya, she is spunky and strong and willing to do anything to find the truth. There was so much going on in the story and I just loved how fast it was paced nothing felt like it was being rushed or unexplained.There was a perfect balance.

Phoenix Team One: Selected (Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team Book 1) by Claire Luana was an exciting read! I loved the creativity behind the characters and scenery. This was an easy short read that I finished in one sitting. I could not put this book down! I felt that the story easily pulled me in and kept me hooked! It had a great plot and climax that I truly enjoyed. I felt that there was a surprise every time I turned around! Being a new author for me, I can wait to read more from her. Such an exciting read! Easily a 5-star engaging book. I highly recommend it.

How: A stalker series novel by Megan Mitcham is the third instalment of this series. Having read the previous books as well, this one was by far my favourite. Libby’s story is fantastic and heart breaking at the same time. At the end of book 2 Libby went viral after closing the biggest case of her career, the photo that was taken of her at the crime scene however did more harm than good. Libby life starts to unravel and she doesn’t know who is to blame. This book has some fantastic chemistry and as always the female characters are empowering even when the worst thing imaginable happens. I am now going to eagerly devour more of Megan Mitcham’s work. Highly recommend this book.

Spouse Trap is the first book in the Madeline Dawkins Mysteries. This book had me at a heightened state throughout, it was so good. After Madeline wakes up one morning in a strange hotel room, after the biggest night of her career, her life starts to fall apart. Her husband states that he wants a divorce and he has proof of her actions. Madeline sets out to prove her innocence, but things aren’t straightforward. Every time Madeline thinks she has a plan something happens to derail her (and the reader!) I truly felt the emotion in this story, my heart ached for Madeline. I could feel her panic, frustration and anger. I really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to continuing with the series.

This is an amazing series, full of action and adventure and keeps you guessing.
Friday is a hero and she goes to Hero High. Shes part of tv show and with her mentor and team she gets trained in how to be a hero.
However things arent as straight forward as they seems when as well as her training Fridays has encounters with the Fire in the Flames and she has feelings for the worst person imaginable. But neither of these people are who she thinks they are which only confuses her even more.
Its an adventure from the first page and i cant wait to read the rest of the series.

Just the Way You Are by Allison M. Boot is a magical fantasy story that is wonderful and tells the tale of a young princess with a disability that doesn’t stop her. It is a sweet adventure as we journey along with her and her love. This story is well written, and the characters are likable. Allison’s words give us a vivid view of the world she has created. This story is not one to be missed.

5 Star How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham
How is the third book in the Stalker Series by Megan Mitcham . Holy Cow what a read I’m pretty sure slick stayed on the edge throughout the whole book. With in the first couple of pages I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. I must say if you haven’t already started this series then I can’t recommend it enough as it’ll _ help to give you a better understanding of what is going on. The twists and turns will keep you guessing. There’s danger,mystery and romance. Libby is a Special Agent for the FBI and has just busted a weapon ring shes expecting to receive the respect she deserves but instead gets something else. A picture is released and she finds herself in a media frenzy and she even has a stalker. Who is behind the suspicious events? How much danger is she really in? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This was a great story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I didn’t want to put this one down! It was well written and I immediately got sucked into this urban fantasy world. This story had lots of action and suspense and of course a really sexy vampire. What more could a girl want?? This story follows Zariya Chanji and her quest to find the truth behind her father’s death. She believes he was murdered and she will stop at nothing to find the truth. The deeper she goes the more dangerous it gets! Will she survive long enough to find out what happened to her father? Or will she end up in the same place he did? I really enjoyed this and I am very much looking forward to reading more in this series and by this author! Happy Reading!

Seeing Satan’s Devils MC Boxset (Books 1 – 5)had released, I knew I needed to re-read these stories. I have followed the Satan’s Devils through the entire series, as well as the new chapters, and second generation books, this got me remembering how I started this series on Book #6 so long ago and at that time how I quickly realised that this was one series I would want to follow closely and going back and grabbing the first 5 books to explore too- and how I have been avidly following along with each new release ever since. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of MC romance- or should I say, I wasn’t until I read Ms. Mellett’s work. She brings just the right amount of emotion and vulnerability to her characters- whilst still delivering all the elements and characteristics you could expect from a well written and complex MC story/series. These first five books cover all kinds of topics, from disability, sex-trafficking, racism, dealing with grief, overcoming obstacles, and more. The stories are woven with plenty of emotion, danger, drama, suspense, some mystery, plenty of camaraderie, banter, and of course some sizzling romance.

But after reading this one, you may find you have developed a taste for Ms. Mellett’s stories and will find yourself wanting to go back and read all the other books too. I loved going back to the beginning of this series and remembering how it all began, seeing a lot of the characters we’ve come to love over the course of the series- and ‘re-connecting’ with them all over again. If you love a really well written, riveting MC story- with complex, flawed, quirky, and endearing characters, and an original plot- then this is definitely the books/series for you.

Night Justice is the first book in A Chicago Vigilante series by India Kells. India Kells is one of my go to authors and this book is my new favorite. This book had me reading long into the night and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. It was well worth my lost sleep. This dark thriller is full of action, adventure, mystery, and romance. The characters were well defined and very relatable. Orla Karlsen is a reporter who goes undercover to save the city from a new drug that could destroy it. The Vigilante is a dark savior who is catching bad guys, when the two meet sparks fly. Both have issues with trust, which can lead to death or glory. I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book in this series.
