Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Erin Wolf

I give Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery, 5 stars.

This set and entire series are really what make me love romance. I will admit, it is not my first pick in genres, but this set really helped sell me on just how good and how fun romance can be. The author does an amazing job of making the characters seem so real. I am blown away every time at how they could easily be people I know. At the same time, each book is different from one another while still feeling like they all fit together. You will see characters from previous books make an appearance, plus there is the wonderful setting of the beach to make it a must read for the summer. For those who live or vacation in Slower Lower, you will recognize locations and it will feel even more real. I was so excited to see a romance series set here!

If you enjoy romantic comedies set at the beach with strong writing and awesome characters, this set is for you. The set can be read by itself, but I do suggest reading all of the books because they are so enjoyable.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Faith Jackson

This is a first boxed set of 3 extra books from author K.L. Montgomery. In this first novel, “Badge Bunny,” we meet an ER doc, Brynne Miller AKA Badge Bunny, who has a thing for cops. That is until she meets and swears off cop Chris Everson. Chris is living up his dream life as he’s got everything anybody could ever ask for: Friends, his dream job, and a home on the beach. Except he’s got a secret as well that none of his friends or the other ladies (past or present) know about. Since her first impression of Chris, she’s vowed to never date him. And aren’t first impressions everything? We’ll find out in this page-turner which is guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours.
In the second novel, “Wedding War,” temptation and old feelings die hard as rival families merge together to save their family’s businesses. Jason Friday’s family has been catering to the grooms of Delmarva for forty years while Hannah Robinson’s family has been doing the same for thirty years. Over the past twenty years both families have become enemies as their businesses grew. That all changed once they were met with a common enemy in a new superchain of shops, Uber Brides. Can they come together to save one another’s businesses except their chemistry gets hotter the more they work together and what happens if they delve into their desire?
In the third novel, “Stage Mom,” Larissa Emerson, is a mom of a special needs daughter who wants her kid to be treated the same as everybody else and she’ll do what it takes to make sure it happens. She’s got a powerful personality, sarcastic, and her dislike for men who have toyed with her through past failures. She’s prepared to put up a fight for her daughter to be a part of the beauty pageant as well. Mateo Flores takes his job seriously as this is his first job heading the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant and he doesn’t plan to mess it up. That is until Hurricane Larissa comes storming into his world and he can’t stand to say no to the force of nature that is she.
This is a great collection of books that will keep you entertained. Loved this series. Beautiful characters and beautiful writing as usual from Ms. K.L. Montgomery.

Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Faith Jackson

Anger (Hero High, #2)Anger by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

She knows she has to be careful because they’re looking.
She was a fixation on the show and a daily part of the Hero Channel’s show, “Hero High.” She met two important heroes in the Figure in the Flames and the copycat Mr Dangerous. Life in the superstructure is hazardous and meddling, especially when trying to expose the truth behind where the bad guys come from. She’s trying to avoid the cameras but she knows they know something.
She is distrustful of the Hero’s Channel. There’s no telling who the bad guys are or vice versa. Her personal hero, Captain Fantastic wants to take her under his wing but there’s one problem: His personal mentee; Ashley.
She doesn’t know who to trust or where to go for the truth.
The mysteries of these books are compelling and the fact that the author puts you in the front seat as “She/Her” is even better for the reader. We get to use our imagination in this futuristic novel. I’ve loved both books so far. I’m keeping this on my waitlist for the rest of this collection.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From “Music Man,” I was addicted but I will read anything by K.L. Montgomery. She’s quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors although I’ve read plenty of her books. This series is simply the best of the romance genre I’ve ever read so far.
With each novel in this collection, you learn why I fell in love with K.L. Montgomery’s writing. Everything she writes is gold for the heart as it touches your soul with lessons on just about everything from learning to love yourself to following your dreams or searching for the love of your life. The women in these books are heroines who find men who fall in love with more than just their beautiful bodies but every part of their mind, body, spirit and soul.
Each novel is set in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware where it’s a paradise in the U.S.
The first novel is about acceptance and self-love. She’s fresh off of a divorce, her future looks bright with a brand-new job as well and she’s turning fabulous 40! Claire Sterling is looking to revamp her life with her gay best friend, the help of a therapist and fitness program. This “Fat Girl” is taking her life back and the man of her dreams with her! This one was a funny read: Very entertaining.
In the second novel, I love the author’s sense of humor. This keeps me cracking up! These rival nerds have been at one another’s throats all their academic school ages. Ten years later, they came together after becoming heirs to a home in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Both are willing to put their petty ways to the side for the sake of the cottage as both their futures depend on it. Aunt Penny is playing matchmaker from the grave in this romantic novel. So steamy!
In the third novel, we find Claire who has just written a musical as she tries to make a simple accountant her leading man. Fresh off of a divorce, he’s not interested in anything but his job especially since that’s how he met his ex-wife. Linda Larson is behind the scenes making what happens onstage a reality but her girlfriends want her to get on stage to let her talents show. Follow us through this novel as you’re in over your head with how steamy these books go.
I loved every novel from start to finish, especially the characters. K.L. has a way to make them all come alive through each word. Great series!

Of Magic & Scales by Natalina Reis – Review by Erica Fish

Of Magic and ScalesOf Magic and Scales by Natalina Reis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Natalina Reis has caught my attention with the title of this book, Of Magic and Scales. Her stories always have a thought and preparation to deliver the right amount of details to think you know what is coming ahead. Then BAM! It goes in a totally different direction. This story is no different. Aiden was a respected detective in DC and now he is just trying to take it easy. There is a magical community that is looking for him, not to mention there is a killer on the loose. There is one DNA that is at the murders and it is no other than Merman Naël Fouchard. Can Aiden and Naël team up and find the murderer? Will there be some romance between them? I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens.

Music Man (Romance in Rehoboth #1) by K.L. Montgomery
4 Stars

This series is all about sweet romance. I was silly and read the other books before this. It was nice to be able to go back and see the beginning of Claire and Jack. Jack is a music teacher who had always dreamed of being a rock star. Claire pushes him to join a singing contest which he wins and ends up heading to the Nationals. Some chaotic craziness happens which puts their relationship in danger.

The thing I like best is that the characters are relatable. They are real people with real problems and real insecurities. Claire is not a skinny girl and deals with her self confidence about her size. Jack is not some muscle man that looks like a greek god. He’s a regular single dad with a crazy ex wife. They are charismatic and readers can easily connect and understand them. The story is refreshingly funny especially with Claire’s inner dialogue. It’s an easy read that I definitely recommend.

Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by R.M. Gilmore – Review by Sara Oxton

Endless Night (Dylan Hart #2)Endless Night by R.M. Gilmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Endless Night by RM Gilmore a five-star read that you won’t want to end. This is number two in the Dylan Hart series and follows Dylan on the amazing journey they call life, if there is a limit this character can push they will. This is such a fast paced, thrilling read that is so well described you will feel part of the story, feel like you are there in NOLA with them. I enjoy the secondary characters and the twist that we get with the bestie, that just kept it real as that’s life for some of us. But there are other who step up to the plate, I’m just not sure how far they stepping yet. This was a great second story and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Denial by Mina Chara a four-star read that you won’t be able to deny. This is number one in the Hero High series and shows promise for the rest of the series, this was such a short read, I latterly started it thinking I would read a couple of pages and then start some work, but I started it and finished it and then started the work. Friday is the main character and she will make you smile, she is such a firecracker, watching her story will just keep you hooked. The rest of the series cant come son enough as I want to see what will happen next.

Testament of Feats: Book of Sorrows Book Two by K.H. Jones – Review by Angela Hayes

Testament of Feats: Book of Sorrows (Book Two 2)Testament of Feats: Book of Sorrows by Kimm Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Testament of Feats: Book of Sorrows (Book Two) by K.H Jones is the exciting second instalment in The Testament of Feats series and follows on from the first book. So, if you haven’t already read Book One, I really recommend that you do as this story builds off the first book- where a lot of important details are revealed. Having all that information on board will really enhance your reading experience of this book.
I really enjoyed the first book, so I couldn’t wait to join Scream again and continue the adventure. I have to say that I enjoyed this book, even more than the first. It is definitely my favourite, so far. Again, we get another wonderfully woven and epic fantasy- full of action, adventure, danger, obstacles, dramatic developments, and suspense.
The world building, as in Book One, is brilliant. Full of vividly detailed descriptions, K.H Jones gives the story a depth and richness that really brought everything to life. From cultural elements, animals, scenery, and the people- everything was intricately and vividly detailed and described. I appreciate how much heart and soul went into this cleverly constructed story- and how much believability and realism the author brought to the ‘world’ he created. It made it easy for me to immerse myself in the story and follow along, almost as a participant instead of merely ‘the reader’. I love it when I can lose myself in a story this way.
Again, the character creation and development is really well done. And as I said in the first book, these characters are all quite original- their names are really creative and completely individual to them, and the author. This book sees even more development and growth as the story unfolds.
Scream has been through a lot, and things don’t get any easier here. His quest doesn’t go quite according to plan- and danger follows close behind. What happens made for an intriguing and engrossing read.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves high fantasy and epic adventures! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Thank you, Mr. Jones!

Music Man: A Single Dad Rock Star Romantic Comedy is the first book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. Ms. Montgomery is one of my go to authors. It amazes me how she can pull these characters and make me feel like I’m right there with them dealing with life’s everyday problems. Jack and Claire’s story is full of emotions and it gave me all the feels. I really relate to Claire’s character, she makes me happy. I feel like I could be her. If you like Sweet Romance with a little Steam, this is a great book for you. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

The Flip is the second book in the Romance in Rehoboth Series by K.L. Montgomery. I really like K.L.’s books but I think this may be my favorite so far. I love how she always makes me laugh with her character witty banter. Also the plotlines are so down to earth you feel like you’re right there with the characters.
Drew and Sonnet have been enemies since high school, but now find themselves co-owners in a home left to them by Drew’s aunt. They decide to work together to flip the house. The situations they find themselves in are hilarious, and when their feelings start changing for each other and they slowly become a couple they fight it until they can’t.

Plot Twist is the third book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. The characters are true to life and down to earth. The story pulled me in from the very first page and held my attention from beginning to end. The emotional roller coaster had me laughing out loud and reaching for tissues. I love the witty dialog and Lindy and Meric are both such strong characters, even though they have some flaws. Of course, we hear about some of the characters featured in the first two books. It was an overall enjoyable read!
This is one of my favorite series from Ms. Montgomery. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is a historical romance book. I have found that historical romance stories are intriguing. Jean Wilde grabbed me at the beginning with her characters. They are fully developed and I could see the characters in my mind’s eye. The plot line kept me wanting to know what else was going to happen. Being that this is historical romance, it takes a minute to think back how things may have been. Lady Gibert is looking for a husband. Blake Halle, who comes from wealth, is being told he needs a wife. Will Blake Hall and Lady Gilbert start a relationship or will it fall to pieces before it begins? I recommend reading this book to find out the answers to this question.

The characters are unique and fully developed. Dylan is a journalist who takes her job seriously. She is a strong female character. She is trying to figure out what is going on. A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon Book 4) by Jean Wilde – Review by Jana Teppih

A Gentleman's Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon, #4)A Gentleman’s Stipulation by Jean Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Gentleman’s Stipulation is the fourth book in Jean Wilde’s The Scarlet Salon series. It is my first encounter with the writer and her writing I was lucky that the story can be read as a standalone as it is number four in the series! I tend to keep to my ‘usual suspects’ when it comes to historical romance and it is not very often that I pick up a new writer and I am happy I picked up A Gentleman’s Stipulation. It was an intriguing and engaging romance that pulled me in from the beginning.
A Gentleman’s Stipulation gives us Lady Victoria Gilbert and her family secrets and Blake Hall, the son of a nouveau rich mill tycoon. On surface they have nothing together so you can start picturing already now what a ride the writer is taking us on with those two! She gives us some pretty scandalous scenes that were quite refreshing to read in an historical romance… add to this authentic historical details and you have something every historical romance lover can cherish!
After finishing book four, I went back and read the blurbs to the first three and I think that I need to deepen my acquaintance with Ms Wilde and The Scarlet Salon further!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Gentleman’s Stipulation by Jean Wilde is the fourth book in The Scarlet Salon series. I am a sucker for a good romance book, and I was surprised to find one in this historical romance book. I was pleasantly surprised at how great this book was, it was so good I read it in an afternoon. Lady Victoria Gilbert and Blake Hall meet at Victoria’s cousin’s wedding. Though there are initial sparks between them, they quickly get on each other’s bad sides. Convinced they will never see each other again, they just try to get through the wedding festivities. Victoria goes to London to try to find a husband and ends up staying at Blake’s estate. Though Victoria may be looking for a husband, Blake isn’t interested in finding a wife. During a card party, they are found in a rather compromising position. They must work through it together and learn to get along. I loved watching their complicated relationship waiver from lovers to enemies.

A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon Book 4) by Jean Wilde. I loved this book. I read it one sitting and once you start you will want to do the same. Its the story of Lady Victoria Gilbert who is older than most debutantes because of a horrible mistake during her first coming. A rumor was spread because she made a friend mad and it ruined her chance to find a husband so she is desperate to find one now. She longs for a husband and children. Blake Hall is a new rick son of a Mill Tycoon and has been spurned in the love department because he wasn’t good enough. He has sworn off women especially debutantes until he meets Lady Victoria. Her sharp tongue makes him so confused…does he want to smack her or kiss her. After their first meeting knowing nothing will come of their relationship they banter back and forth until family and friends find them in a compromising position. Blake saves her and hatches a plan to save her reputation by saying they are engaged. Feelings get involved while they are spending time together and there is a lot more at stake than a reputation. I enjoyed the love-hate in this book. It’s number 4 in the series but can be read as a standalone. Lady Victoria isn’t impressed with Blake and Blake isn’t impressed with Victoria. It doesn’t matter that shes attracted to him….she wants love, not convenience. Shes a bit brash which threw me off considering the genre, but it ended up being a decent book.

I loved this box set. It is books four through six which are just as awesome as books one through three which I highly suggest reading as well. I have read many, many of this author’s books and she continues to impress me with her writing skills as well as her attention to details. The characters bring the stories to life and make you feel as if you are right there with them. They bring heat, non stop romance and laughter to each story. I found myself connecting to each one as they bring small town romances to life. You will find a wedding, a single mom and an ER doctor, what will fate have in store for all of them? Will they have happily ever afters? I highly recommend reading this boxset to find out what happens with them.

P. A. W. S. is the first book in the P. A. W. S. Saga series.
This is my first read by this author and it was a good experience. While I don’t usually read YA, this book was entertaining. There were a couple of references that would make this book questionable for anyone under the age of 16. I enjoyed the author’s unique touches on the supernatural and the world building was excellent. Overall, while this book was fairly tame for me, I think it would be a good read for the younger crowd. A teen would most likely relate well to the main character who feels out of place in the world and who is learning about who she is.

What can I say about this book? It’s a full length Romantic Comedy with a twist of Rock Star. This book can be a standalone. Although I don’t think it will be for many people. My review is on book 4 Badge Bunny.

Jack loves his music. Sense he can follow his dream at the moment, he settles for the next best thing. Teaching Music! But let’s not forget that little cutie Mariana, Jack’s daughter. The two have a special bond, one of love and for Jack’s dedication.

Claire has the gumption to get it done. She is also strong in her conviction. If she decides on something, she follows through. Learning to play the piano. Is really where she wants to be. Feelings are shared and this story is off and running.

K.L. Montgomery is a fabulous writer! The Jack and Claire story is just one example. Her characters are just everyday people, making the best out of life. The women are strong and not whiny, the men are real people. I love this story and can’t wait to read the series. I have read many of K.L. Montgomery ‘ s books and find this series is becoming my “Can’t wait for the next one” series. Well Done!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy series by K.L. Montgomery is a brilliant collection of books that is definitely worth reading.

Each of these books is about different characters and has a different angle from the last book. They are all so well written, engaging and relatable that you will fall in love with them all!!!

For me it is the characters in these books that really got to me. They all felt so real. Their struggles, the journeys they go on, they all really felt like they were things that could happen. It made it so much easier to connect with them.

If you haven’t read this series yet that I would highly recommend doing so! You will be in for such a treat, and will not be disappointed.

What will happen when secrets and betrayal are brought to light? This is a story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters brought the story to life and I had no problem connecting to them. I loved Anyaka’s character, she is a strong independent girl and loved watching her develop throughout the story. She makes this story fast paced and engaging. I highly recommend this book.
