The adventure continues in War in Sorcery’s Shadow the third book and last book of this Epic YA fantasy trilogy. I definitely recommend you start with the previous books starting with the first book Manipulator’s War, so you get to know the characters and the world that they live in.
It is an all-inclusive LGBTQ+ action-adventure story with an MC’s who is asexual and nonbinary.
Everything is culminating toward the final war as Ruarnon, Linh and friends race against time to bring word to the people who have been lied to. Armed with understanding, knowledge, fear and hope they can defeat a mad man who wants to annihilate them all.
As with the other two books there is murder and mayhem, myths and lore, assassins and magic, drama and sorcerers and more.
If you love Epic YA fantasy tales, then give this trilogy a go.

It is informative enough without being too heavy on the medical jargon. The characters in this book navigate through some of life’s difficulties with the help of therapy and supportive relationships. Some secrets are kept, and others are revealed.

Secrets everywhere! Double lives. Different paths collide.
I have read several of Christi’s books now and have enjoyed each one. It seems I have once again come in from the end. I discovered that this is the last book in the Swan Cover trilogy which means I need to go back and read the other books. I must say though that I did not feel as though I was missing out on anything so this can be read as a stand-alone.
Will You Pretend Marry Me by Christi Barth is a contemporary romance that has several tropes with an enemies to lovers and fake boyfriend story. This makes for a fun and romantic read. There is witty banter that will have you laughing along with some tension, angst, drama, insecurities, emotions, chemistry and humour.
Need a book to curl up and spend some Me time then give this book ago. You won’t be disappointed.
There are a cast of many interesting characters in this entertaining tale that would seem to be more of a delightful Rom Com.
This unconventional duo are opposites in a lot of ways, but they say that opposites attract but are they really that different underneath it all. To find out you will have to read it for yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to more.

Ask any child if it’s ok for a Unicorn to poop on your doorstep and most of them will tell you yes and laugh their heads off especially little boys, just ask my grandsons. They thoroughly loved this book.
Unicorn, Don’t Do That! Is entertaining, funny, and cute.
The illustrations by Ada Konewki are delightful and paint a picture for little ones to enjoy. The book is aimed for children from the ages 4 – 8 years of age.

This is such a clever and well written book about fairies. From the moment you start reading it draws you into the story. My daughter in particular loved this story. She thought it was entertaining and she easily connected with it. As always, this author has done a brilliant job of weaving in educational topics without it seeming like she is trying to teach kids anything. It is always done with such ease.
This book has to be the one that has my favourite illustrations so far. I thought they were perfect and matched the story perfectly. Both kids engaged with them and I think it made them love the story even more. This is a brilliant story and is one that will be read again and again.

This author does it yet again. This book is such a fun an entertaining story and it is engaging from the moment you start reading. Of all the books that we have read by this author I think this one has to take the award for most entertaining. Every one of us found the book amusing and my kids were right there with Unicorn as she heads to the party. They laughed their way through this book and it made me enjoy it even more.
Lois Wickstrom is a family favourite, and this is cemented even more with each and every book we read. This book just reinforces the fact and has been added to the collection of books we will continue to read multiple times.

Murder on West Main by I.M. Foster is a well written mystery that will keep you entertained from the first page until the last page! This is my first book by this author, and I was not one bit disappointed!! This mystery is set during the summertime when a young man named Colin finds himself part of a murder mystery and unfortunately for him…. all fingers are pointing to him as being the main suspect. Lucky for Colin, his sister Kathleen doesn’t think that her brother could be a murderer and she is set to find out who the true suspect is. We are also introduced to Daniel, the town’s coroner and from Daniel’s findings after inspecting the body in question, he doesn’t think Colin is the murderer either. Now Daniel is on a mission to find who could have done such a thing, but he’s having a hard time finding a murderer because as it turns out, our deceased gentleman wasn’t a very liked person in town. Kathleen and Daniel have their work cut out for them to figure out who could have done such a thing! I.M. Foster has a great way of telling the story with great detail! I felt like I was in the story trying to figure out the murder mystery with Kathleen and Daniel! It was very hard for me to put down this page turner once I started reading it! I hope that you will pick up a copy and find out for yourself if the mystery is solved or if Colin continues to be blamed for the murder! I look forward to reading more books by I.M. Foster!

As most of Wickstrom’s story’s do…this one too has a moral to the story. Stega has to try a find a gift to bring to Benny’s party, but she eats every gift she finds along the way and eventually has to poop by the time she gets to his house and she can’t hold it anymore. So she poops right outside his house…but since she’s half unicorn it’s not like any other poop…it’s a rainbow! This is a funny and cute story for your littles that will have them laughing and begging for you to read it over and over again. This illustrations are fantastic and follow the story. Another great addition to your ever-growing Wickstrom collection.

This is a historical romance with a twist a very steamy twist which I really enjoyed. The author does an incredible job of transporting the reader back to that time period with old fashioned values with a modern twist. In this story you will find romance, a reverse age gap, sizzling chemistry and a little BDSM elements.
Charlotte never expected to find herself a widow at the age of 30 but that is the position she finds herself in. When she re enters the social scene she catches the eye of a young guy called William.
William is heir to the Earl of Harrington. He should be looking for an young woman with whom he can produce and heir however he wants Charlotte but he has his work cut out to prove to her that nothing and no one should stand in the way of them being together.
As the story unfolds and their chemistry ignites we learn that Charlotte is more than the mild mannered Lady she appears

This was a really captivating story. I love their interactions between each other and how determined William is to make Charlotte realise she’s the one for him. Their happy ever after maybe not being easy or conventional but are they determined enough to get it?

In this addition we return to Emerald Hollow and find Sofia who has had her heart broken so she is very afraid to let anyone in. While Sofia is on her annual birthday hike she runs into a guy that is passed out. His name is Isaiah and Sofia and her friend Ash give him the medical attention he needs. The only problem is when he comes to, he doesn’t know who he is. Sofia is intrigued so she sets out to help him find his identity. She is very attracted to him but is very cautious. As Sofia spends more and more time with Isaiah she really likes him and the feelings are mutual. Will she be brave and let him in? Isaiah is really a mystery because he doesn’t even know who his is. Will they be able to find out who he is and why he is in Emerald Hollow.

I’m always looking to ‘shake things up’ in my reading because I have a bad habit of getting stuck in only a few genres or tropes until I read so much of them I throw myself straight into a reading slump. Maggie Sims is a new to me author and while I love Historical Fiction I haven’t delved much into Historical Romance. This sounded interesting so I gave it a try and I wasn’t disappointed. She may be a new to me author but I will continue to read her novels. Charlottes Control was a well balanced, well written, engaging novel that contained some fresh ‘tropes’ if you will, ones that aren’t populating every single popular romance novel lately. Charlotte and William had great chemistry and the spice, including a little BDSM element, was great between the two characters. I was invested. I can’t wait to pick up another novel by Maggie Sims.

This is one of the funniest romances I’ve read this year. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, even with them trying to fight the attraction. He’s not thrilled she’s there. She just wants to finish here student teaching semester. She’s not sure she wants to continue being Kia. She kind of wants to go back to being Abigail. I loved the story. I felt like the fly on the wall observing these two. Even with the mentor-mentee relationship, those comments were priceless. Watching this relationship develop was priceless. This author does excellent writing and gives us characters to love. This is a must read.

This is a great romance story written by ten great authors. Some are new to me and some are favorites. This is an engaging story that is hard to put down. A story where it takes fae and human, forbidden love and one where fate will step in and take over. I enjoyed the characters and how creative they are. Their journey had me wanting to know what would happen next. They are connectable, relatable and brought the story to life. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which made the story easy to read. This is a fast paced story that has so much entertaining value. This is one you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to the second one. I highly recommend this book.

Lexie and Jake’s story is so sweet and heartwarming. Jake learns to let love back in and trust again. Poor Lexie is what some of us call a “hot mess.” Oh, the accident, I almost cried for her. Stupid feral hogs. Biscuit and Katie were such terrific supporting characters to the story. Katie basically showed both of them that love is possible. I found myself feeling this story. It was hard not too. This author writes so that you feel like you are experiencing the story with the characters. I was in it right from the start. A heartwarming story that showed the challenges and that love is worth it. You can find happiness again. This a definite must read.

This is a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is the third book in which I highly suggest reading the previous books first. It will help your enjoyment of the characters and this author’s writing skills. This is a well written story that takes you on an adventure that you won’t soon forget. An engaging story that had me turning pages fast to the end. Will Linh and Ruarnon are hoping to unite a group of people who feel they are different from each other. But are they truly different? The question remains if they are able to pull them together before they destroy each other. You don’t want to miss what happens and if Linh and Ruarnon are able to pull them together before it’s too late? There is great growth throughout which makes the story easy to read and entertaining. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start by the characters and had me wanting to know more. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

This was a story that taught about being creative and listening. The young girl learned to ask the King questions first so that she could avoid giving the King her sheep. She wanted to solve his issue. No one else had been able to so they lost their most precious item. She taught the King about friendship. It turned out that he wanted to be friends with the other King. By giving him sheep as gifts, then it became important to keep the Lion out of his kingdom also. The problem was solved. I really enjoyed how the story teaches about problem solving. The pictures are colorful and help teach kids. The story teaches a wonderful lesson. I definitely recommend it.

This book will have you on another magical journey. Very fun and engaging, will have you turning the pages rapidly. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the books in order.

I was not really sure what I expected with 10 authors writing on one book, but it drew my interest, I had to give it a read. I ended up really enjoying the overall story. A few places did lull for me, but the overall concept kept me intrigued and turning the page. I can not wait to see what happens. The overall story is well written, flows well, and the characters are well developed. I would recommend this book to others.

To my shame I have never read a novel by Maggie Sims before this novel “Charlottes control”. OMG I will be fixing that and fast.

This is not your average historical romance and contains so many hot sex scenes that explore domination but with the female as the lead.

Charlotte is the older widow at 30 and William is just 19…. She thinks he is a rakelet and too young but her desire and his willingness to comply and call her mistress lands him tied up and mastering the art of being mastered.

I cannot wait to get my hands on more Novels in not only this series but previous ones too!

Finders Keepers, Cowboy (Match Made in Montana Book 1)

This is a serious slow burn romance. Lots of heat and chemistry between Ryan and Meg.

They have known each other for a long time after spending their summers together as kids and now being neighbors as adults their relationship shifts from the uptight guy and the chatty girl to friends with a common interest and that is Ryan’s grandfather Hank.

Hank is a sweet man who has a soft spot for Meg and is completely in love with her dog Colby, not that I can blame him. I think I might be in love with her too.

Ms. Campbell impressed me since I had no idea what to expect from her and this was my introduction to her. This is one of the more wholesome romance books I have read in a while and I enjoyed it. Nice refreshing change of pace, enjoyed it enough that I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Cute romance story and state to this series. Starts with frenemies who get a chance as well as the ranch that needs some sprucing up. Although they may get on each other’s nerves and have their own motives in establishing their goals, they slowly see how good they can be for each other. Thanks to the help of a family of theirs, Ryan begins to better appreciate his company instead of just the animals. Meg starts feeling purpose in her new endeavors with a bit of support along the way. Story starts out slow as the details come together but ends up a really good read!

This was a fun romance story that was told in a different perspective. I love how you are taken through a journey of the ups and downs that we call life…including relationships, dating and careers in this book and I see it being totally relatable on so many levels. I really enjoyed this story and its refreshing.

Chloe tries to navigate life and relationships..as she goes through the years…different relationships develop as she tries to find her own “perfect” happily ever after. Giving her heart to one forever may take some time, but learning along the way on what she is looking for has not always been the easiest task. Will Chloe ever meet her ideal “perfect” person for her?

Definitely read and find out….this is a great story told in a unique way.

This was a good 4 star read. Meg is asked to clean out a shed and sell the items in her store. Ryan is annoyed that his grandfather has asked Meg for her help. These two have not gotten along for years. Of course grandfather knows best and can see there is more between them. As they spend time together things start to change. Will these two become more than frenemies? Overall I really enjoyed this story, the author does a great job with her writing. I enjoyed reading their journey. If you are looking for a new series to read, 1-click and get started today on this one. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

Rhapsody in Black: An Elena del Carral Mystery is the first in a new series. The author uses her mother as inspiration for the main character, Elena, a world class ballerina and choreographer. Elena is invited to participate in a Gala performance by the founder of the Terpsichore Ballet, but also invited to audition in the unfinished ballet Black Rhapsody. What might sound like an exciting opportunity quickly reminds Elena of why she left the ballet world.
The story is filled with the wonder of the performing arts, intrigue, murder, obsession, and more. I always enjoy books diving into the dark side of ballet and this did not disappoint. Though many view this as a beautiful artform the story gets into the dark side of what could happen behind the curtain. I enjoyed the story telling and learning about Elena. It was interesting to see how everything fit together as the story progressed. The book is a fairly quick paced read and is worth the read. I look forward to the next book in the series to see where Elena takes us next time.

Perfect is the first book in a series of four books. The story focuses on Chloe as she progresses through her life to find “Perfect Man.” I enjoyed that we got to see Chloe as she went from a young adult in college to an adult in a high profile career. It stressed that what we might hold as standards can change and adjust as we go through life and our priorities change. There was a relatable honestly to Chloe and her relationships throughout the story. The story was relatable and interesting, but at times I felt a bit of disconnect because of how the story was laid out. This is just a personal preference and does not take away from the actual story and characters. I will look for more from the author and this series in the future to see what sort of Perfect comes next.

Kris & the Pirates: The Adventures of Kris by Art Blegen was such a fun book! My 3.5 and I used it as a read aloud and she thought the book was funny and has been pretending to be a pirate! This is a part of a series that I will absolutely be following. However, I didn’t read book one but that didn’t feel like it mattered much. Kris was meant to be going to a party with her dad but she didnt want to. She decided she was too big for that and wanted to read instead. Being so into the book, Kris’ imagination ran wild to where she was IN the story. Getting so lost in the book, she found herself in the jungle getting help from different animals and staying away from pirates. My daughter and I enjoyed this book. The author was descriptive and made you feel like you were truly in the story …. In the story! A two for one book with a positive outcome. Though I read to my preschooler, I’d say this would be a perfect book for ages 6-8. It was a lovely story and I’m excited to see where her next adventures take her and us!
