Wonderful paranormal fae romance that is set in New Orleans. The book is written by a collection of 10 authors: Skye Turner, Sloane Nicole, April D. Berry, C.J. Pinard, Danielle Jamie, Darlene Tallman, Julie Moran, Livell James, Machelle, Hanleigh, Melissa McKinnon.
The book started a little slow but picked up about a third of the way through. The romance is insta-love/insta-lust with mystery, tension, and of course insane chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed their love story, especially that it is a forbidden love. Aeris, who is fae, is very interested in humans outside of her home, Laric. But she is given several warnings from her older brother about them. Her curiosity wins out, and she decides to use glamour to watch humans. The twist is… Callum, a police detective, (human…..or is he?) can see her.
Aeris doesn’t understand how Callum could see her, but after some research, she realizes glamour does not work on other mythological creatures. Since Callum, must have mythological blood, she reveals to him that she is fae. But what type of creature is Callum?
There are lots of twists and turns that are executed perfectly. I was worried that the book would not flow properly considering how many authors are involved, but the story is seamless. There is steam, but it is toned down and is more plot than steam. The book was excellent and intricately woven. This is the first book of a five-part series, and I will definitely be reading all five.

This was a really good book about a foster family gaining a new family member. A pair of foster siblings, at the beginning, are trying to get ready for a race that will help their foster sister who has heart issues. When they came home from passing out flyers, their foster mom introduced them to a new foster sibling, Loris. Loris is mysterious and doesn’t speak to anyone. The story talks about how he is always scared and that stems from his stepfather. He struggles with being shy, fear, anger, and confusion about why his parents had to leave him. However, he helps his siblings by standing up to a bully that was bothering them. His siblings are grateful and try to help him in return by teaching him that there are positive things that he could look toward instead of always being scared and angry. They start to build a bond that helps Loris break out of his shell and ends up being able to help his sick sister by being the hero of the race. This book seemed to address some issues that children may have, especially foster children. There was discussion of normalizing some of the negative feelings these children might have, but then also talking about the positive aspects that can occur too. I think the book does a good job of showing that a foster care situation doesn’t always have to be scary or negative.

Another wonderful thriller, with some romance, and an investigation. Did all of these veterans really commit suicide or was it really murder? Drs. Finnerty and Liccione are determined to find out what is really going on in the VA hospital. What they find is shocking, and they are determined to put a stop to it. A great story with wonderful returning characters. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A hard to put down thriller, with some romance, a touch of politics and some unpredictability rolled into one. An ER physician Dr. Louise Finnerty is one of the main characters in this story. Right at the end of her 12 hour shift a patient is admitted to the critical care floor. This patient is no other than her friend Dr. Gennifer “Gen” Drake. This story takes place in Galveston, TX and the storyline is fantastic. Dr. Marnie Liccione is introduced into the story as another friend that both Dr’s new from medical school. It is here that Dr’s Finnerty and Liccione are determined to find out what happened to their friend. A can’t put down story.

This is book 4 in this series. It can be read as a standalone but there are character crossovers so if you’ve read the previous books it’ll make it more cohesive. The characters are well developed and the plot is great. The location of Mars makes for a fantastic backdrop in this story. I definitely enjoyed this story.

I was really excited to see a new book by this author and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I was instantly pulled into this story, specifically the characters. I thought they were so interesting and engaging. I enjoyed their connection so much, the tension and the chemistry. The storyline was exciting and fast paced. It fit the nature of the characters so well and made me connect with them even more. This book was such as great story that I thoroughly enjoyed. It has already made me look forward to the next book.

This is the first book in the Match Made ain Montana series. This was a new author for me and I really enjoyed this story. This is a clean romance with a enemies to lovers feel, throw in some western style and it was a unique story.
Meg and Ryan have never seen eye to eye. Even has kids they didn’t get on. But was there more going on behind the scenes that neither of them realise. Was their dislike for each other hiding other feelings neither wanted to admit?
Meg has an antique store in town and things are a bit slow but she is determined not to give up. When her elderly neighbour asks for her help in clearing out his old barn she agrees to help until she runs into the neighbours grandson Ryan. As soon as Ryan sees Meg he wants her off the property and away from him. He has enough to deal with setting up his new business on the ranch without her as a distraction and Meg is definitely a distraction. Can they be civil long enough for Meg to help Hank? And what happens when they start to realise that their feelings of hate and dislike may not be that at all. Will this be the time they learn to understand each other and find their happy ever after or will this push them apart for the very last time?
I highly enjoyed Break Bone Fever! I accidentally read Breaking Apart (the second book) first and it may have ruined a few parts of the story. The story starts with the death of Dr. Gennifer Drake, a friend of Marnie and Louise. They refuse for Gen’s death to be the end of her research and progress. At first when I was reading the beginning with the narrative of the guilty parties, I thought it was too much of an open and shut case. With the discovery of the reasons behind Gen’s murder and the high implications it led to the ending of the book still being a fresh surprise. I enjoyed all the characters and setting since it felt like I was there in the thick of mystery. It made me want to check out the town of Galveston, Texas. It sounds breathtaking!

I highly enjoyed Breaking Apart and cannot say enough good things about it! I accidentally read this book before the first book in the series, Break Bone Fever, but I was able to follow the story with no problem. The pacing and suspense were perfect. The characters are all fleshed out with backstories and felt real. I like that day-to-day occurrences were added to the narratives such as baseball games, hiking, running, and the 4th of July. The multiple points of view kept me guessing until the end what really happened with Josh’s death. It also touched on multiple difficult topics such as PTSD, suicide, and drug addiction. At the end of the book, I felt sad and hopeful yet that is life. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in the series since there is a nice little cliff hanger at the end.

Meg Hawke moved from the busy Chicago back home to Montana. Living in her family home and running an antique shop. While it has not taken off like she had hoped, she still keeps the doors open. The Kincaid’s have always been her neighbors, and she has loved Hank like a grandfather. However his grandson Ryan is her frenemy, she tries to keep her distance. When Hank asks for her help she goes right to work. As long as she can keep away from Ryan. Will Meg and Ryan get past the dislike and move onward to a HEA? Will they be able to work together without ugly words at each other? This author is new to me. I love her story and how she builds up her character’s. The story is fun and a clean read, even in a clean story the passion is there with the words the author uses without going too far. The story is a real page turner and will keep you turning those pages until the end. I am looking forward to reading book 2, I hope you will too.
If you are looking for a suspenseful, mysterious, thriller with a dash of romance and more twists and turns that you can count then you’ve found it! Alonso-Sierra had me hooked from the first page and I had to force myself to put it down and be a “responsible adult.” The way she writes and develops her characters is superb. I didn’t see the twist at the end until Elena saw it herself and I was still like, “No, it can’t be.” The story revolves around Elena del Carral who has been invited to dance at the Gala Performance at Terpsichore Ballet, where Elena used to dance previously but moved onto bigger and better things. However, Elena is unaware of the secrets that Terpsichore and it’s owner, Derek Michaels has…but Elena has secrets of her own that just might turn Terpsichore on it’s head. And while all of this is happening, Elena is falling for the dark and handsome Jake. Such a fantastic piece of writing. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author. Reviewed by @meggs1717

Finders Keepers, Cowboy is the first book in the Match Made in Montana series by Rachelle Paige Campell. I found that this enemy to lovers western a delightful read that I enjoyed so much. Meg is the sweetest with a heart of gold. She comes back to Montana to open a store, called Finders Keepers and it does not seem to be going well. She in a bind and Hank offers to help her and then walks in Ryan, her rival who has never liked Meg. Ryan is under a lot of stress, but Meg brings something to him, a light that he needs in his life. I truly loved reading every second of this book. I love the characters who made me laugh and smile. I love the attention to all the details. I truly am a sucker for small town reads and this hit the spot for me.

Finding Cheer is the second book in the Magical Emerald Hollow series, and while probably COULD be read as a standalone, I definitely would recommend reading Chasing Cheer first, so that you already know and love some of the main characters. This will also help set the stage for understanding some of the magic in Emerald Hollow! I loved getting to know Sophie more in this story! Chasing Cheer is all about Holly and Ash, with Sophie as a sweet sidekick; in Finding Cheer, you get to know more about Sophie’s story and background and grow to love her even more. Meeting Isaiah give Sophie the opportunity to grow beyond her comfort zone and confront some of her past. The magic Holly brings to the table creates the coziest little Hallmark-style town in Oregon that I desperately wish were real! Truly, a fun, cozy read, and I loved that it’s not a strictly Christmas Holiday book, too. Finding Cheer is a great Springtime read!
This story is a cute frenemies story about Meg and Ryan. They have been neighbors and rivals since childhood. Just because their grandparents were friends back in the day doesn’t mean Meg and Ryan have to like each other. But of course with age comes knowledge and wisdom. Maybe their grandparents were on to something.
This author’s writing style made this story an easy to read and enjoyable story. The characters were believable and the descriptions of the ranch and shed project made me feel like I was there with them. Close or even forced proximity is one of my favorite troupes.
I recommend this author and look forward to reading more from her.
This is a super cute ocean short children’s story about kindness. The story follows Fay as she spreads joy. She is nice and helpful and encourages her friends to be the same. Pictures are fitting and adorable.

Meg is in a funk, her shop is not really doing that well and she is determined not to give up just yet. Until one day her 80 year old neighbour and friend asks her to help him clear out the old barn where he has tinkered for years, what could go wrong? Meg is in the process when her enemy Hank’s grandson decides to dampen her excitement by telling her to leave, but Hank is more experience and sees a spark that neither one of them are ready for.
Ryan has lived on the ranch most of his life and enjoys the hard work it needs to run, after selling off the cattle he has turned it into a tourism trap and is happy what is happening, although there is always a bane in his life. Why does his grandfather insist that Megan the neighbour from next-door comes over, see never shuts up and is always in his way but when his grandfather decides to clean out his converted barn but only lets Meg in which frustrates him.
Although they are frenemies something changes between them and the feelings which are blossoming between can they bloom or do they need to part ways forever?
This is the first book I have read by this author and I found it well written and the characters brilliantly developed, although at times the story felt a little clunky it did not detract anything away from the story.
I loved the character of Megan she was sweet and enjoyed life with a spring in her step and she was I think the brilliant heroine to Ryan’s rather grumpy, melancholic character who needed some lighter energy to enter in to his life. The story was full of light and a lovely read with some interesting secondary characters. Although I loved the character of Hank, the cankerous old man with the heart of an angel was brilliant to read and see him weaving his web around the two of them to understand that one day they would be great for each other.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

Overall, this is a great read for one to use to get away from the busyness of the world. The author does an awesome job in keeping the flow in the story. There is just enough drama but not too much to keep things interesting. The development of the main characters is gradual throughout the book. It’s amazing how one can be grateful for the little things in life and have one to change their ways just because of how they deal with things that will affect others, especially the little ones.

The author did an amazing job in this contemporary romance book, giving the reader a view into what the life of what it might be like to be a young actor dealing with the limelight of the acting world. Our main character, Valeria, personality changes as she takes on her role in a soap opera, as she tries to live up to the expectations she deems as so important to live up to on social media. She has a shaky relationship with one of her co-workers, the main star Lance, who seems to only be interested in Valeria when it’s beneficial to his reputation. Partway into the story, we get to meet up with Valeria’s past love, Davis, who remembers the small-town girl who broke his heart and left to take her place in the acting world. Davis is unsure if Valeria moved on since all he continues to see on social media is that she is dating all these different big-time stars, from actors to musicians, wondering if she moved on from him so quickly. As Valeria and Davis try to reconnect and rebuild their relationship, they suffer insecurities, and misunderstandings, that make this hard to work through. Will Valeria be able to find herself, or has her acting career changed the small-town girl that Davis fell in love with, to never be her natural self again? You won’t want to miss this first book in this new series, it was a great read, that keeps you drawn in and invested in the lives of the characters right from the first page. @Brandy Rymer 04/2024

This book was a great read in that it made it feel like you were on a tour of England without actually leaving the comfort of your own home. The photographs are stunning and showcase the beauty of England extremely well. The author does a wonderful job listing detailed descriptions of some of the best places to visit when on a vacation in England, including places that are not well known but that offer a wonderful visit filled with opportunities to build a memorable trip. While this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you are ‘missing’ anything, as this book focuses on a different ‘couple’. Barbara Washington is a hardworking and ambitious attorney whose plans for the future went up in spoke the moment she caught her fiancé cheating. He freaks himself out by developing feelings for Emma and doesn’t realize she is dealing with the same emotions – and also has herself in a panic over it all.
Emma and Liam are probably the most human main characters I’ve read. They have their selfish and ugly moments, but they have raw and honest chemistry, passionate and hope, and are drawn to one another like magnets. Emma felt like a familiar friend. Absolute page turner. Looking forward to more by this author!

This story was a clean, sweet and wholesome romance with a frenemy trope. Ryan and Meg present as opposite who really do share some goals but will they ever notice or are they too busy fighting? Can they both achieve their aims and work together or will their differences come between them? This story included animals and grandparents that reminded me of my own childhood so that helped with the warm and fuzzies. A great light hearted read!

I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. I read the first one and can say it was incredible, so I just had to read the next one. Plus, I absolutely love series books, so this was just icing on the top. I did find these books quite a fast read, which made me a little sad but also happy, because my TBR pile is huge. This was a paranormal romance which I have been finding more enjoyable as each one I grab. this had everything I loved to a demon woman, no pun intended, that tries to make a relationship work. The book continues from the first one, so I highly suggest reading the first. Once again, the characters are hard not to fall for and enjoy reading about their adventure togethers. So, if you like reading paranormal, romance, drama, demons, witches, magic, angles, chemistry, suspense and so much more this is your book. But first read the first one you wont regret it.

Lord how mercy that doll, nope. This is the second book in the Life is Hell series, and yes to get the full understanding of the book and the story I would highly recommend reading book one, No Rest for the Wicked, first. It helps the story be more understandable as everything started in book one. Hell Hath No Fury, begins in the weeks after the conclusion of book one, before the epilogue of book one. Dual perspectives of Millicent and Sheridan. Millicent is a deputy in the little town of Juniper Lake. She once thought that it was a safe place to live until two murders and a disappearance rocked the little town and her to their core. While she is quickly filled in by her boss Sheriff Malakhi on the truth of what happened in book one, including that Delilah and Sheridan are demons she is filled with anger. She questions how long or if they would have told her the truth if she didn’t ask. Paranoia fueled by mysterious, magical gifts that disappear once she has opened them only make her feel more unsafe. Sheridan enjoyed life in the city until her best friend and boss Delilah decided to take a hiatus that led to her selling her bar and moving to Juniper Lake. With no choice Sheridan pops into Delilah’s cabin in need a of new place to live. The moment she first sees Deputy Millicent Casey she has her heart, and she suddenly wants to know what it’s like to care about someone and be cared for. After a week of being tormented by a porcelain doll that keeps coming back Millicent gives up her plan of ignoring it and it will go away and goes to Delilah for help. She can’t live like this anymore. Instantly defensive Sheridan is forced to face her feelings for Millicent and stop trying to be subtle. Given an unwinnable ultimatum everything comes to light with the fates of Millicent and Sheridan in the air until the dust settles. Can Sheridan protect Millicent? I’m ready to move to Emerald Hollow!! Holly Claus is back in this book and things are looking like spring. Sofia is also back and she comes across a man in the woods who isn’t sure who or where he is. Isaiah could be a con man in Sofia’s eyes but she’s also hoping that he’s legit.
This is a very sweet, mostly clean (there is “mild” swearing) romance novel. I do recommend reading the first book so you get a full background on Holly and Emerald Hollow but it’s not absolutely necessary in order to enjoy this story.
This is a fun series and I’ll patiently wait to see who we will get to meet next!
This is book one in the match made in Montana series. The setting at a ranch in Montana with 10,000 acres of rolling grass hills and yurts, makes an inviting backdrop for small town romance. I liked Ryan’s passion to restore the bison population on his ranch. This is a wholesome romance story of two people who have known each other since childhood and acknowledge the adult feelings. I’m not sure why there was a reader advisory for this novel when this felt like a soft romance.
This is one of several books in The Adventures of Kris series. I really enjoyed this book and will be recommending them to my son and his friends! A great chapter book for young elementary readers. The storyline was also really exciting, fun, and full of adventures. Kris is a great lead character and uses her imagination and her love of books to bring the reader along with her on some great adventures. I loved the connection with all the characters and animals in the story. This is a definite book recommendation for young readers. Well done!

I read this as a standalone and was not confused but it was great book I will be going back and reading the first one. I was invested in the book, cheering for Sofia, curious about Isaiah, fawning over how cute Ash & Holly are. I loved how the chapters were told by their different point of views so that you could really tell how they were all feeling. By having the multiple points of view you see why Sofia is apprehensive to have feelings for another person, especially someone with no memories prior to when she found him in the woods, you know how Isaiah is trying to figure out who he was while also realizing that maybe he was found here for a reason. Plus you get to see a little behind what is going on with Ash and Holly, and how they are also supportive of Sofia. I personally love when a story brings together multiple genres, with this book having romance, mystery and magic, it was a fun read.
