I have never read a book written by so many others, and I was NOT disappointed at all. While its also not my favorite genre, I was able to read this in two sittings and truly loved the book. Entering the world that all these authors created took me on a journey that I hope to continue in all the books in the series. Touched is the first book in the Elemental Passions series by authors Skye Turner, Sloane Nicole, April D. Berry, C.J. Pinard, Danielle Jamie, Darlene Tallman, Julie Morgan, Livell James, Machelle Hanleigh, and Melissa MacKinnon.
Callum, a human, and Aeris, a fae are the main characters in this book. Callum is taken by her beauty; taken by the fact she is UNLIKE anyone he has ever encountered. But Fae and human relationships are NOT welcomed and prohibited. Callum and Aeris will take you on a ride of magic, forbidden love, and supernatural world that will draw you in! I highly recommend this book and want MORE!!!

Beautiful book, the artwork is lovely. I really like how this book showcases how fostering kittens works, the work that goes into taking care of the kittens and the adoption process. There are some things I learned as an adult that I didn’t know before. I didn’t know that when the kittens are still young the mom licks the kitten to encourage bowel movements. Everything is laid out nicely in a timeline from birth until 12 weeks when they get adopted, with updates on the kittens and how they are growing. It is a very clever idea to have the kitten care list for families taking care of kittens. All over a great and informative read!

Their friendship evolves and both must come to terms with life.

This does have a happily ever after and seems to be part of a series as Mia and Dylan have a book out and there is one on the way with two of the other secondary characters.

I’m off to add Mia and Dylan to my TBR.

This is a classic enemies to friends romance. That’s not to say it’s the same as every other one. I love the cranky, tough cowboy Ryan who just needs to let some light into is life. Meg can be that light if he lets her. His grandpa Hank sees that they are a match. He will not let Ryan continue to be rude to her. Meg sees Ryan’s grandpa like her own. Her relationship with his grandpa is what just may bring these two together. At least if Hank has anything to do with it.

While I regret not having read the previous books I’m grateful to have got my hands on this one and will be sure to read the previous books 😉🥰📚

We all deal with hurt or disappointment in different ways so when Harriet takes the distraction that comes her way I get it but I’m also a little weary because hello Harriet you’re getting mixed up with crime families and their doings 🙈🤷‍♀️

I respect that Harriet wants to honour her father and his memory but at the same time I don’t think he’ll want her in danger but a girl has to do what she has to do I suppose 😍

The characters are relatable and likeable and there’s a dash of romance , there’s suspense , there’s wit and some laugh out loud moments the only criticism I have is the cover art , this one did no justice to what’s between the pages 🥲

Maggie Sims’ Charlotte’s Control follows Charlotte, a widow in her late twenties who, when she attempts to rejoin society, meets William, who is almost a decade younger than her but very eager to spend time with her. Charlotte decides to form a relationship with William on the basis of it being casual and sexual, but they can’t help falling for each other despite the age difference, the society they live in, and William’s need for heirs. I thought the age gap was perfectly fine, but it did make be a bit uncomfortable at the start as how she essentially referred to him as a child. I do think this was her way of putting her guard up, though, and as their relationship developed they came to view each other as equals. I recommend this book because it’s a really good historical romance, especially if you like erotica. It was a really beautiful story in regard to her being a widow and finding love again, with a really interesting plot that was accurate to the time it is set. ‘She needed someone to paint him smiling like that so she could look at it every day.’

Stars in the City is the first book in the Stars in the City Series and is a Contemporary Romance/ YA that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’m a huge fan of this author and have read several of her books . This one may be a favorite yet. Her attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for a wonderful story. This is packed with drama, teenage drama, jealousy, friendship and so much more. There are some sweet moments that tug at your heart and moments I was just shaking my head because sometimes things aren’t as they seem. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Praise for Touched, I absolutely adored this book. The relationship between Aeris and Callum was done absolutely perfectly! It didn’t feel rushed or unauthentic and this book had so many twists that I didn’t expect! I really hope there is a book 2 because I need to l know where else their relationship leads! I also loved how the authors blended the human world with the Fae’s world Laric. It felt like it was just outside their reach so close but so far. It added a lot of suspense that helped the story feel that much more intense! I can’t wait to read more books by this amazing team!

In this YA sweet romance, one can find the wholesomeness of first love and the idiocy of teenagers. Valeria is a teen just trying to make friends while starring in a teen drama and completing high school. It comes along with the normal teen drama, except now it gets played in the tabloids, not just social media. Can you imagine breaking up with your boyfriend splashed all over ET and the front page of some gossip rag??

Valeria faces not only heartbreak but betrayal because the moment the ex dumped her via text (BTW), he started or possibly continued to date the person Valeria considered her best friend. All three of them star in the same TV show. Valeria now has to look at her ex with stars in her eyes for the cameras while trying not to feel hurt and sad. Add in rumors about firings due to decreased ratings.

Valeria manages to make friends with another cast member about her age. To sprinkle more drama into the mix, Valeria runs into her first love, Davis, on the streets of NYC one day. They start talking and reconnect. The only problem is that every aspect of Valeria’s life is immortalized in pictures and video, even random moments like her walking home from a non-date. The pressure becomes too much for Davis and he tries to walk away.

Valeria must overcome some of her own fears and insecurities to have a chance with Davis. With guidance from a surprising source, Valeria starts coming into her own. This sweet romance is a cute quick read.

Emma had rules and they were strictly followed until Liam. She slowly threw those out the window and found herself head over heels. Things seem to be working out until her ex comes barging back into her life and airs all of her dirty laundry. Will Liam want to stick around or will he run for the hills? Emma and Liam give you all the feels in this book. Their passion jumps off the pages. I enjoyed their story and hope to read more work by this author in the future.

This is a wonderful box set of 3 wonderful historical romance stories.
The True Purpose of Vines- I had read book 2 first and so I knew I had to check out book 1 in this series and it definitely did not disappoint. The slow burn between Julia and Griffen made it a book I just couldn’t put down. The author creates a vivid and well written tale that transports you back in time and you really feel like you are right there with the characters in historical Portugal. I am always a fan of strong female characters, especially in a time period when women were supposed to be submissive to men. The author did a great job of creating characters and a landscape that you will definitely want to reread again and again.
The Taste of Light-This was my first book by the author, but it definitely won’t be the last! This story has everything, action, humor, drama, romance, tension, and redemption all rolled into one amazing story. The author’s vivid descriptions of the scenery added to the beautiful romance she weaved together. She foreshadowed Pedro and Anna’s love story with the medieval love story of Dom Pedro and Ines de Castro, which just added to the intense suspension of their love story. You really get a sense of the characters and want to see them get their happily ever after. This is absolutely a must read if you are a lover of historical romance.
The Truth About Myths-I thoroughly enjoyed this story; I thought the author did a great job of transporting us back in time to the 19th century, exploring the political scenes between Portugal and Spain. I absolutely adored Isabel our Portugal princess. I loved that she had values and standards and she held herself to a high standard, but wasn’t afraid to step in and help the less fortunate. I thought her temperament was a great match for Viscount Henrique and the verbal skirmishes really set the tone for the two of them. The vivid descriptions really make you feel like you are right there with the characters. If you love historical romance and want a story with twists, this is the book for you!

I always love to read stories that take place in Montana and this story did not disappoint! I absolutely adored this sweet, slow burn, enemies to lovers romance story. One of my favorite pieces was that Meg took her sweet puppers Colby everywhere with her. She was a really sweet character who is super friendly and hardworking. Her shop is struggling and so her aging cowboy neighbor Hank offers her the opportunity to sell items from his ranch on consignment. Meg loves the idea, but it will put her in the path of Ryan, Hank’s grandson, who despite Meg’s best efforts, has never been friendly towards her, so she has taken to just avoiding him. Thanks to Hank’s meddling, they end up working together and realizing that maybe they just might have more in common than their love of grumpy Hank, who will quickly become a fan favorite. Overall it was a very sweet story that is well written and makes you feel like you are right here in Montana. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Finding Cheer is the second book in the Magical Emerald Hollow series by Heather Schneider. After enjoying the first book in the series, Chasing Cheer, I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to dive into the second instalment for another charming read.
This is an engaging, sweet (paranormal) romance, with a touch of magic, intrigue, a little mystery, some forced proximity, chemistry, sparks, drama, secrets, discoveries, and endearing characters. Again, as with the first book- I can see this making a great movie too.
After Holly Claus came to Emerald Hollow (previous book) things have certainly taken an interesting turn, that’s for sure. But, this story focuses on Sofia Reyes, a slightly jaded local who will find fate has a special plan for her- one she’s a little skeptical about to begin with. But fate won’t be denied. Add in some magic, mystery, tension, and emotion- and this charming read takes a captivating turn.

Before You Say I Do

We went on our annual trek out of town to get some incredibly delicious barbecue and look at the beautiful Texas wildflowers on our drive, however I was so deep into this book that I only looked up when my husband pointed out a beautiful patch of flowers.

Emma and Liam work so well from the beginning even if they are in denial the entire time. The affection is obvious to everyone but one another, but what they do to make the other happy says it all.

There are so many people I didn’t like while reading this, maybe even bordering on hate, but they are too much of the story. Hopefully they won’t be making guest appearances in future books, but I definitely want to see Emma and Liam.

Though this isn’t technically a series, it does have some of the characters cross over Dylan and Mia’s story. Thank you once again for giving me an enjoyable book to soak in.

I was so excited to see who we got to see next. Turns out we got to see Millie & Sheridan. I made quick work of this, not putting it down at all lmao. But this really has everything you could think of and more. This author really knows how to keep you wanting more and makes you want to run to the next book so you could jump right back into this amazing world she’s built and see all the new and old amazing characters that have been built. Speaking of which lol I love we got to see the characters from the previous book 🥰 excited to go pick up the next books, I can’t read them fast enough.

My husband and I have our 4 yr old grandson over as much as possible. Thankfully he has been asking me to read more books to him, when I sae this I knew I had to check it out for him.

While the book is written for an age group just a touch younger he is, he liked it, was engaged and made comments at the appropriate time.

Courage is something kids his age really need, hope with enough repetition he will understand the message. On top of the story the illustrations are so good and match up perfectly.

Hmm… I’ve read books by this author before but Perfect threw me for a loop. It wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it. It had some really good scenarios split up into parts. However it was a little rushed and all over the place at times. Each part overlapped to an extent so there were times you were rereading something you already read.
I think it’s something I would have to go back and reread. I feel like I missed some of the concepts the author was trying to present. The general gist of the story was good, that I can’t deny. I was personally just confused at times.
Chloe is navigating her way through life and relationships. She’s had some sweet and genuine guys along the way, but it seems some toxic ones as well. She’s driven and very empathetic, which makes her very relatable. Her character being well written and strong is what I enjoyed about this book. She has the same fears and insecurities we all have in relationships. Some of the awkwardness we may have about meeting new people. A character you could easily imagine yourself in her shoes while reading the story. That creation of a character is what draws me to this author.
Though this book wasn’t my cup of tea there’s plenty of positive qualities about it. The biggest being what I previously mentioned. The main character was created and developed nicely. I look forward at trying to read this book again as well as other books by this author in the future.

I love this author and have enjoyed all of her books so far. I love the way she writes her characters to be relatable. Chloe was no different. I really like how we follow Chloe through different stages of her life. As the story goes on you can see her growth but also how some of those same thoughts play into your decisions. I love how you get to go along with Chloe on her journey through all of the relationships from college to adulthood. This story wasn’t all about romance so much as finding what you want/need from your significant other. I really like this author’s writing style and will keep reading more of her books.

Finders Keepers, Cowboy is a sweet, clean, slow-build romance that finds Meg and Ryan at the center of Ryan’s grandfather (Hank’s) romantic meddling. All of the characters are realistic, relatable, believable, and lovable; but Hank is my favorite. He’s the quintessential cowboy: rough and tough, but with a heart of gold (and a soft spot for animals). Ryan and Meg have always shared a rocky friendship, but Hank’s meddling throws them closer to one another than either is comfortable with. The world building is amazing; I felt like I was right there on the Montana grasslands. However, the inner monologue of both Meg and Ryan was a little tedious and often circled back multiple times throughout the story. It almost felt like a filler. It also felt like it took a long time to get to the good parts of the story, only for the story to end rather quickly. Overall, a good, quick read recommended for those looking for a sweet, family driven romance. Rachelle Paige Campbell is definitely an author to add to my list.

This book is full of bite size nuggets of information of places and history of Scotland. The history is an easy and interesting read and the list of places to see and visit will have you eager to start your journey. The author talks to you in a comfortable and friendly tone. It would be nice to see more pictures included though. There is a little something for everyone in the list of places to visit. The appendix and website resources were a nice addition. The author shows us that there is so much to do and see in and around Scotland. This is a book you should add to your list if you are planning a trip to Scotland.

Kris &The Pirates: The Adventures of Kris
This was the perfect adventure book for young readers, 6-12 years old. My grandson is almost 11 and he enjoyed it. It is a story within a story, that takes Kris on an exciting adventure filled with pirates and treasure, friendship, action and more.
The book will also help your young reader with overcoming fear, being brave and with accepting challenges. This is a series of books but can definitely be read as standalones.

A quick and easy read that highlights ways to travel to and in England and then many of the spots that you may want to visit. It is written so that it is easy to understand and helpful. It is a book that should be added to your list if you are planning a trip to England for the first time. Although I don’t think there were a lot of hidden gems in the list of places to visit, I do think it was a good list where just about everyone can find something that they enjoy. It would have been nice to have included a few more photographs. The author does a nice job of giving you an idea of some of the things that you can find to explore in England.

Before You Say I Do is a steamy contemporary romance…and I loved every part of this story. I am no stranger to this authors books…but this is one of my favorites. Giving me all the feels of romance, angst, drama, sizzle and the push and pull between two people….I highly recommend this book.

Emma is not looking for any commitment nor relationship….with a broken heart past that nearly tore her apart…Emma is working and going to school to become a sommelier…until Liam Cross comes crashing in. Liam is not looking for any commitments as well as he is hardened by how he views his father and mother’s marriage….but what can happen when two people who are just looking for a good time with similar views on relationships and feelings truly start to flourish. When Liam proposes a marriage contract so he can obtain his trust fund, Emma agrees knowing her end of the bargain will get her out of debt and travel to France. As fun times turn into having more feelings that are kept at bay……layers around Emma’s heart start to fall for Liam…..but when it is all said and done will their feelings for each other turn into a happily ever after or heartbreak….

This is the first book in the Sweetopia series. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m ready for more. A single mother and a undercover job bring Cy and Jolie together. It’s full of twists and turns, romance and love. I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
