Touched : Elemental Passions Book one is written by multiple authors. Wow totally not what I expected when I dove in head first. But holy cow this was much better than I expected. Its loaded with mystery,drama and suspense plus lots of romance. It’s unlike any other Fantasy/ Fairy / Romance I’ve ever read. Get ready to be taken away on this adventure with Aeris who is a rule breaker as she travels to the human world of New Orleans . Be prepared to devour this in one sitting because once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finished. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

Touched: Elemental Passions is the first book in a series and is a multi-POV, each POV is marked.
Ok, so you meet a beautiful female and some things happen you just don’t understand…. The detective in you wants answers and wants her to give them. But the answers…. *MIND BLOWN*
Touched is a romantasy that I can fully get behind! There’s mystery, drama, and best of all ROMANCE!!! I have only read a few books with Fae and other mythical creatures, but out of all of them, this was my fave so far. I love how all of the authors build the scene and each MC story, if I hadn’t known there were multiple authors I would have never suspected it while reading the story. The flow of it is so smooth you would think there was only 1 brilliant mind not 10. Can’t wait until the next book in the series comes out.

Drag Me Down by Landra Graf is the fourth book in the full-throttle cyborg series and can be read as a stand-alone, however, the characters cross over between all of the books..
The development of the characters was nice, and I especially liked how the MMC always took care of his territory making sure they were good while also trying to strive for his end goal. There is excitement, drama, and romance… just picture fast and furious but on Mars and the gangs/territories are family. If you like a great story/plot, AI, cyborgs, and/or revenge stories then this book is definitely for you!
I don’t know if it is because I don’t normally read this genre, or if it would make more sense if I read the other three first, but a lot of the book had me rereading parts to try and make sense. Because of this, I give the book 3.75 stars but someone who normally reads this genre might give it more.

Loris Open Up His Heart is the first book in the Courage Tales series by Dagmara Sitek who has lovingly crafted a wonderfully meaningful children’s story (with lovely colourful illustrations that help to bring the story to life by Lau Frank). The story is aimed at children aged 5 to 10 years-old — but I feel there is value to the story that will ensure that the book can be enjoyed and appreciated by all ages. This is not only a cute tale but teaches valuable life lessons along the way. Loris hasn’t had an easy life and as a result has ‘closed-off his heart’. When he is placed with a loving, supportive family, he learns to ‘open up his heart’ again. Along the way he, along with his foster family, teach us about emotional intelligence and how to deal with strong emotions such as anger, frustration, loneliness, and hurt. It also shows how opening yourself up to ‘new’ and scary experiences can have wonderful results. The story touches on topics such as bullying, making friends, the meaning of family (and that family doesn’t always mean you have to be ‘blood’ related), having compassion/empathy, being kind/generous, being helpful, being brave/resilient/patient/tenacious, and finding purpose in life. I really felt for Loris and what he had been through. I was so happy that he found a family that made him feel like he was safe enough to open up his heart again. I really wanted to give him the biggest, squishiest hugs. This was such a lovely, heartwarming story that left me with all the ‘feel-good’ vibes of a meaningful story. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series…

Hell Hath No Fury Book 2 by Naomi Valkrie. This book is as fantastic as the first in the series. It expounds on two of the other characters from the first book, Millicent and Sheridan. Sheridan is a demon, and Millicent is a sheriff deputy who are drawn together. To say that these two shouldn’t be together is an understatement. There are many factors keeping them apart throughout the book. Everyone comes together to fight their way out of the situations they find themselves in. Wow! Such a fun read! Entertaining, steamy, and all around crazy! Hidden identities, secrets, and plot twists you wouldn’t believe! Read this book if you like romance, attraction, and twists and turns!
This is the first time we have picked up a book by this author. The Author has developed a great mystery book for future super sleuths. It’s a quick chapter book for your not so little ones, about 80 pages. It took us a couple days but only because we read it before bedtime every night. My nephew loves that it wasn’t just a plain Chapter book. But one with illustrations in it to help with visuals and to help keep his attention.I’m definitely going to go get the first one to read. So we can see more adventures from Dylan, Emily and Theodore. Also I can’t wait for book number 3 to be released🥰 What I loved was that there was additional Resources provided at the end of the book for extra learning. I highly recommend reading this!

So, it was definitely an interesting read. To me, it felt more YA, which isn’t a bad thing. I did think the FMC was a little naive, which is a nuanced peeve for me as a reader. I really liked the MMC, and thought he was absolutely hilarious. I understand the book is fated mates; but it felt a little too quick for me. But, that might also be because I’ve been reading a lot of slow-burn.
It’s a light hearted, fantasy romance that was well done. I did enjoy the book, and will most likely pick up book two when I get time. Happy reading!

Reading about Callum and Aeris story was captivating. I was first drawn into the story because I love any story that is set in New Orleans. These authors have done such a good job creating a world in the city that is popular but at the same time unique. Callum is a detective for the city. He’s working a job when he comes across Aeris. He sees this beautiful woman, but a quick look again, everything changes about her. She looks different. Otherworldly. He finds out that she’s not from this realm. She’s from Laric. They both start to develop feelings for each other that are forbidden in her world. But Destiny steps in. Or does it? The story arc was well written, and the storyline was well paced. I loved reading their story and I hope there is more to come!

Fay’s Kindness Parade is another great book in the Adventures of Cray series. Each character headlines their own book, but the characters/friends overlap. This is the story of Fay the sea turtle migrating, but first, she needs to help get her friends We get to meet so many animals and learn about troubles they may have. I love that the book teaches kids in a fun way. The characters are adorable, and the illustrations are spot on.. They are super fun and colorful. The story rhymes which always adds an extra touch.

Queen of the Fairies is a fun, magical book for young readers. It would be a good beginner reader for those just learning to read. The illustrations are colorful and bright and assist the story. My son and I read a lot of this author’s books, and we are big fans. After the twist at the end, we had to go back and re-read it with a new mindset. My son thought of ways the “bad” fairies might behave, and what the queen might do next. It kept him engaged and talking after, which I love.

Oh, what spicy sweet bliss this book held within its pages. This is the first book not only of the Spicetopia series but the first book I have read by Phoebe Alexander. To say I wasn’t disappointed would be an understatement. Dual perspectives of Cyrus Sweet and Jolie Cox. Cy is the youngest son of the Sweet Enterprises company. Given no choice in the matter he is forced to be the undercover boss at his parents’ family theme park, Sweetopia. Rumors of a Rebel Alliance have caused concerns, and they need answers on who to fire to stop it all in its tracks before it goes public. Jolie is the coveted Red Velvet Queen of Sweetopia. While during the day she works at a family theme park as the lead heroine at night she is a dominatrix. Both jobs daily as she fights to make ends meet to support her mom and her two sons, one of which is terminally ill. Marcus Young (Cy), British summer temp worker, immediately he is drawn to Jolie, and she is drawn to him neither understanding the hold the other has over their bodies but embracing the summer fling. While the main goal was information for his parents Cy and Jolie both go on missions of discovery, growth, understanding, and more in this sweet and spicy quick read. I cannot wait to see what happens next in book two, Virtue & Vice, with Moon and Katja’s story and more about Cy and Jolie.
Charming Chapter by Lori Haas is the first book in the Boomer Babes Book Club Romances series. It follows widowed Laura as she goes to England on a solo trip to explore her roots. There she meets Hugh and the story really begins. The book really shines with its matured characters and fun use of incorporated history. It’s a quicker read – just make sure you have some tea and biscuts handy!

This was such a cute story that explains to our kids what fostering animals is about. Explains how to do it an what is involved. The author did amazing on the illustrations for this book, it really kept my eye on each page.

Lois Wickstrom has done it again with another children’s book. This one is a chapter book. I love how the children’s books has imagination and mystery. Set amidst the backdrop of Portugal’s winemaking industry, the third installment of this box set does not disappoint. The royal family of Portugal stars in this book. The tangled history between Portugal and Spain is explored. Familial obligations war with personal desires. Duty to one’s nation versus duty to one’s own self is a theme that is explored. I recommend this series- it is informative escapism.

I love picking up books by this author and sharing them with my kiddos. Even though I’m a tad older than the target audience, I still very much enjoyed going on this adventure! Aiming at the 8–12-year-old audience, I feel that it’s a perfect match because my youngest is 8 and my oldest is 12, and they fell in love with it as soon as we started reading together! The chapters may feel a bit long in the beginning to the younger age range, but all is well once they find their groove. It is fast-paced and takes you on quite the journey through the woods with Beth, Timmy, and Arthur. Cody the dog is there to offer a secret superpower and assist in solving the mystery. I highly recommend this book for any young one in your life, and I bet you’ll enjoy the ride right along with them!

This was such a cute and quick read for my afternoon! You can easily get through this in one day as it’s nearly impossible to put down once you start. I felt like Laura was incredibly relatable and loved the way she evolved as the story went on. It’s also very refreshing to read about a love story that involves a woman that isn’t the typical 20-something year old because that trope is overdone, I feel. I’m also a bookworm so knowing that Laura finds courage in a book club was marvelous! You can feel the work that was put into the characters that make them all the more lovable. A beautifully sweet story about living your life instead of watching it pass you by. I will absolutely recommend this book for anyone looking for a happy ever after and wonderful friends, this should be your next read. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

Finders Keepers, Cowboy is the first in The Match Made in Montana series, and this book did not disappoint. It was very refreshing to read a clean, small town frenemies romance. I felt like this would be a great Hallmark movie. I love a slow build romance. The descriptive parts of Montana were fantastic. The main characters Meg and Ryan (and others) were very well written, both relatable and likeable. They both have a lot to overcome to find each other. Maybe a few nudges from Grandpa, who may be grumpy, but he ended up being my favorite. I enjoyed this book a lot and cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.

A very clean small-town frenemies, slow burn romance trope.
Meg Hawke is asked to help Hank clean out an old shed and use it for consignment items in her shop, hoping for it to save her little shop. Ryan is busy working hard to make the ranch successful in hospitality. Small town characters Meg and Ryan are destined to be matched with each other by Ryan’s relentless and meddling grandfather, Hank.
I really couldn’t get on board with Meg and Ryan’s constant uncertainty being enemies and in the next moment being lovers. Although, I absolutely adored Hank and Colby as they made the whole book for me.
While parts weren’t my favorite, it was an overall good read.

This is a compilation of reviews that I’ve written on these individual books.
The True Purpose of Vines (The Winemakers #1) 5 stars I love a good historical romance…they are among my favorite genre! This was a bit of a learning curve for me on this one though because I do not drink. I was lost on a lot of the wine references but I did learn a few things about how wine is made and found it interesting.
This book is set in Portugal during the 1800’s and is centered around a plague that attacked vineyards during that time. Mrs. Julia Costa is one of those vineyard owners, after being left a widow and a single mother. Women were not looked highly upon as business owners during this time so she faced increased scrutiny due to her standing in life, as well as her occupation.
Griffin Maxwell is an Englishman who is really good at keeping books. When his business partner suggests that he checks out this particular vineyard, Griffin obliges. The findings he uncovers will be the end of someone in this story though!
Julia and Griffin eventually meet and the sparks pretty much start flying right away, however very subdued. I love how the author allowed the character development to take place before the romance really heated up. There’s a few extra players involved too…so scandalous! 😉 In the end, can different cultures comingle and create something more beautiful than the vines themselves or will dedication to culture win out?
I’m excited to read the next book in this series, although I already don’t like a particular character and the way he behaved in this one. We’ll see if he will have any redeeming qualities about him!
The Taste of Light (The Winemakers #2) 4 stars This review is going to be hard to write without spoilers but I’ll do my best!
I HATED Pedro in the first book. I mean, a deep loathing for the man. I can’t say that now. He’s found a way to redeem himself with the way he’s handled Anne. It took me awhile to be able to say that but he’s earned his redemption!
Anne is helping out her sister-in-law with the vines and dealing with an outbreak of Phylloxera when she meets Pedro. Anne is a polar opposite of Pedro, along with several years younger.
Can Anne show Pedro how to be a decent human being? Will Pedro find his redemption and deal with his past?
There’s a little bit of everything to love in this book. A great historical based story that includes some humor, spicy romance, and a redeeming heart!
The Truth about Myths (The Winemakers #3) 4 stars
Henrique the Viscount is a scientist and an extremely playful rake. Isabel is a prude and proper princess. Two very unlikely people to ever want to be in the presence of another. When Isabel is sent to Portugal by her brother, the “bodyguard” assigned to her is none other than Henrique. Let the adventures begin!!
This book is romantic, funny, and a wee bit spicy! Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. I’ve not been disappointed by a book from this author!! Looking forward to more!

Aeris has always been fascinated by humans. Being Fae meant always being hidden. She spends most of her days in the human world, observing their everyday lives. Keeping her glamour up meant she could walk along the humans without being seen. That is until Callum enters. For some odd reason a very handsome man by the name of Callum was able to see her. Thinking it was a one time thing, Aeris fled.
After that encounter, Aeris couldn’t get the stranger out of her mind. She decided to forget about him and move on. Fate had a different idea when Callum hit her with his car.
At the scene of the accident, Callum was freaking out. He had just hit the woman he has been wondering about since they met. Once he realized no one else was reacting to the accident, he saw that no one could even see this beautiful stranger. Not only that but her wounds are healed?
After that, they could not just forget and move on. Callum wanted to know everything about Aeris and Aeris was willing to risk it all for a human.
Aeris has no idea what has come over her. She will stop at nothing to see Callum again, even if it means betraying her family and home. Her family seem to have something against this particular human in general and Aeris is determined to find out why. Could they be kindred mates?
This book is the first book in the Elemental Passions series written by various authors. It was full of romance and was steamy with enough mystery to keep it intriguing as well. I really enjoyed Aeris as a character. She was headstrong, sassy, confident and passionate. I am rooting for love to conquer all that is thrown towards this unlikely couple.

It is not what I expected in a good way. It does get the reader to get a better understanding of how a young child feels when in a difficult situation. It also gives one a sense of how people can be helpful in dealing with emotions and let them know that they are not alone. The book is very colorful and gets the reader into what’s going on in the story.

Amese is the future Potentate for animalis. She is supposed to take over for her mom but has no desire to be Potentate. The story follows Amese as she navigates different scenarios as different animals learning lessons that would help her as Potentate. This is a great short read for young readers. I would definitely recommend this for parents looking for a good series their preteen and younger teens would enjoy.

This was a heartwarming “Later-in-Life Just Kisses Romance,” which had me captivated from the moment I picked up the book until I closed it again having read it in one sitting! Having joined a book club after the death of her husband Laura has settled for the single life. However, when her new book club friends tell her to ‘take a chance’, she decides to take her dream trip to England. Whilst in a London park Laura has a chance encounter with a handsome stranger which leads to them meeting again. As the attraction between Laura and Hugh grows she has to face her fears, but with the encouragement of her book club friends she’s able to face her feelings head-on. Just as Laura starts to believe that two lonely people from different worlds can discover love she finds out that Hugh has been keeping a secret from her, which may result in Laura having a broken heart once again. This was an enjoyable and engaging read and I literally could not put the book down as I felt invested in Laura’s journey right from the start. She is such a wonderfully detailed character and the connection between her and her book club friends really came across in the narrative. I love the fact that this is a later-in-life romance and the main characters are both likeable and relatable. The chemistry between Laura and Hugh really came across in this sweet romance, and I liked how they both brought their life experiences to the relationship and how their connection developed throughout the story. An Uplifting read, and I look forward to the next book in this new series.

This book was definitely a great must have for all Kids wanting a puppy. In This book, the siblings learn how so much is important. Puppies need more than a home, food and water. These siblings researched everything and still wanted a puppy after finding out just how important everything is for a puppy, playtime, training, socialization, grooming and plenty of other things. Great read for kiddos.

This book was right up my alley! It was so good. I also thought it was cool that 10 authors contributed to this book. This is the first book of the series. Aeries is a fairy that likes to watch humans. Callum, is a police detective, who can see her. She remembers that humans can only see her if they are not 100% human. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Code Dog is a children’s chapter book geared towards children between the ages of eight to twelve years of age. It follows the adventures of Timmy, Beth and Arthur as they follow the trail of clues in the hopes of finding a missing 200-year-old time capsule. The three friends get a bit of help from their old teacher, Mrs. Vance who gives them an old map, and her dog, Cody, who has special skills. Cody can tell your fortune, track, and can even speak in morse code through her tail. Timmy, Arthur, and Beth must follow the clues on the map which is a bit tricky because there is no X to mark the spot of where the capsule is located. They only have a limited amount of time to find the capsule if they want to win $1,000. This was an entertaining read with great characters, friendship, a super smart dog, fun, adventure, mystery, clues, codes, and investigation.
