This series is one that we have enjoyed from the beginning and we were all excited to pick up the next book. Getting back into these characters and their engaging stories took no effort at all. The book has yet another interesting story to focus on, addressing common issues to educate kids told through fun characters. The illustrations in the book really help bring it to life. They make it easy to picture what is going on and easy for children to understand. My kids connected with it and wanted to read the book multiple times. We really enjoyed this story and we are looking forward to the next.
It’s a good book. I liked the characters in this book. I enjoyed reading their struggle to define what the other means to them. This book has great world building and a good plot.

Omg I honestly can’t put into words how much I adore this authors work. Ancient Egypt for me is a passion and something I am fascinated by and this authors knowledge and writing really transports me back. The authors attention to historical details as well as writing a unique story is what really brings these books and characters to life for me.
So this is book 2 in Hani’s Daughter Mystery series. This series has come after The Lord Hani Mystery Series, if you haven’t read them I highly recommend them. So we are back with Neferet (Hani’s daughter) and her friends as they embark on yet another murder mystery today to solve. Neferet is definitely following in her father’s footsteps and she is determined not to let a crime go unsolved no matter the consequences. When a body is found near the family farm Neferet is determined to find out what happened. When she discovers that it was a cause of murder she then starts the hunt for the murder but the victim wasn’t exactly well liked so with so many suspects will she be able to solve this case. Was it a case of two lovers getting rid of him so they could be together? Was it something to do with his work and the details of a company he knew? Or was it a member of his family or a angry employee that was pushed to far that cause his death. Neferet has a huge web of lies to unravel to get to the truth and maybe putting herself in danger in the process.
I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this author and their work. If you love murder mysteries with ancient Egyptian history then this is definitely the series for you. I can’t wait to read more.
Follow Oscar and Emmy as they learn how to foster baby kittens. This is something I have always been curious about and the way it was showcased in this book was both formative and entertaining. Wonderful illustrations, I think this will be a thought provoking read for young children.

Web of Evil is Book Two in the Hani’s Daughter Mysteries Series. It is a historical cozy mystery set in Ancient Egypt that centers around the character of Neferet, Hani’s daughter, who finds herself inadvertently wrapped up in a murder mystery after a body washes up on shore near her father’s rural residence. As they begin to unravel the clues, they find themselves drawn into a web of lies, deceit, and evil. The story is well written with great attention to historical details, vivid scene descriptions, and unique characters. The author does a great job of weaving a story full of mystery, danger, drama, suspense, intrigue, secrets, lies, and twists and turns that will keep you hooked until the end.

Unfortunately Evelyn and Megan not only look alike, they carry the same backpack. No Spoilers Here! I found this series to have started out on the very first page. This author has a way of drawing her readers in and keeping them engaged. The story is fast paced and extremely intense. The characters fill their positions and draw you into their lives. The author has started a very exciting series and I look forward to reading the next in this series.
I read this book fairly quickly. Personally I think it needs something . I was Intruiged with the idea to learn a little something about fireflys. I feel that was not accomplished until I read some small print at the back instead of filtered through the story.
I have read other books by this author that seem well done but for me this one does not qualify. It is an okay read but I wanted more information. The illustrations are loose but the cover is well done and also what drew me to the story

Kris is a little girl who totally immerses herself in a good book while she’s waiting for her dad. She really doesn’t want to go to the costume party with her dad. It’s a pretty good story. It’s very descriptive. I feel it could have used a tad more adventure. I think the age group this is meant for will find this an entertaining read. Kris is a pretty adventurous girl. What kiddo doesn’t like to think they can save the day when the adults get in trouble? It’s a fun adventure.

I once again have discovered a new author and once again was not disappointed. I really like how the author has built this world and story. I find the characters to be well written and just the right amount of drama laced through the story. I find that the story grabs the reader’s imagination and I felt as though I was right there with them within the story. I really didn’t want to put this book down and was eager to see how the story would unfold. I look forward to more stories from this author as well as this series. Logan has returned home after years of being away for his friends wedding but in the back of his mind there is the distraction of his best friends sister who over the years wondered what had happened to her. With his relationship with his best friend in tatters, she has always been the one to fight his corner but will that still be the case.
Jinx is living her best life, co-owning her own shop, creating her beautiful jewellery and just being unapologetic in life, so when a person from her past comes back can she put all the issues aside and go against her family to find the love that has always been there but can they overcome the obstacles.
This was a lovely story with the main characters both having there problems that they are overcoming and are drawn to each other in the end. I love the way Jinx was completely driven to prove Logan innocent within the family and that the blossoming relationship was still there all those years apart.
Although this is the ninth book in this series they can all be read as stand alone stories are brilliantly as a collective or individual stories. I can wait to read the next instalment and more books by this author in the future.

So many bags travel with their respective owners and many of us have the same one. Many put something special to differentiate their luggage from another and some don’t. That’s what happens to Evelyn on her first trip overseas. She grabs what she thinks is her bag but it actually belongs to another girl who happens to looks a lot like her. Now she has a major crime boss after her. PI Patrick Miller is the only guy that can possibly keep her safe. This story has many twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I am very much looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

This was a good read! It was a fast paced, page turner that i enjoyed over the weekend. It had mystery, suspense and also paranormal/fantasy elements. Elsbeth is the MC, and she inherits a French island home that she quickly learns isn’t what she was expecting. Dark mysteries inhabit her new home and she now has to navigate that mess lol. She was a good mc and i liked the other characters as well! I like this book enough to want to read more by this author in the future. Happy Reading!

This book is a nice surprise. You immediately fall in love with the main character and find yourself rooting for her. After many years of doing everything for everyone else she finally decides to do something for herself after some urging from her new book club friends. There are some twists and turns in this book but love the HEA and the fact that the main character has decided to live again and not dwell in the past.

Charlie and Abby are responsible for feedings and teaching the kittens to use the litter box. Oscar and Emmy help support Peach, Pear, and Plum as they navigate the world at large.
This is a great book to read with youngsters who may be interested in having a kitten. It could help them realize the responsibilities that come with pet ownership, while also encouraging a fostering situation to begin with to make sure that the placement is a good fit for both parties. This book also briefly discusses spaying/neutering.

I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this book, but I was wrong. It was very sweet. I love the older character learning to live her life for herself, after a loss, and after giving herself to everyone else. It’s amazing to watch her learn to find her voice and her own way in the world. This was a great story. I look forward to reading more from this author as this was my first time reading anything by her.

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler – Review by Jessica Stone
This is the third and final book in The Hustlers Trilogy and I feel like it was a good close out for this series.
I’m pretty big on forced proximity romances, something about the angst that build when forced into close quarters with someone you hate but at the same time want to rip their cloths off, gets me hooked everytime. Which brings us to the premise of this story, our FMC June ends up in a bad situation due to some terrible things going on with her business trouble, and now her only way to fix things and not lose her company lies in the hand of an old flame that burned to hot and scorched her 10 years ago. Meet Dallas, the old flame. At first I couldn’t really stand this guy, he very much started off as a whinny rich guy, complaining a bit and definitely hard headed, but as this book progressed and the relationship between June and him grew, I find myself relating to his pain in a sense and enjoying him immensely. I love June, I do, part of the story I found myself begging her to push everything aside, let the past go and take what/who you love, the other half I was screaming red flagggg leave so my emotions with this particular book were very high.
Im pretty interested in reading more from this author, I feel these books were well written, fun to read and easy to start immersed in. I would definitely suggest if possible to read the first two story’s in this trilogy, but I do believe that this book can be read on its own if you can’t get your hands on or don’t want to read the first two. That being said, this series is really good and not reading the first two books would be missing out.

Mistaken Identity is a debut novel and is fantastic!! London Detective Agency book 1. This is a fast-paced suspense with a budding romance, that will have you hooked right away. Evelyn is going to travel abroad to start a new chapter and at the airport she gets way more than she bargained for as she bumps into Megan who happens to look a lot like Evelyn, and they end up grabbing each other’s travel bags. Now Evelyn is in a big mess. Lots of twists and turns, full of danger secrets, hate, lies, fear, betrayal, greed, revenge and a little romance. All of the characters are very well written and likeable. I highly recommend this book.

Turtle Fay and Cray Crab are back for another adventure in Fay’s Kindness Parade. This is another wonderful story as my great nieces and great nephew enjoy all the books in The Adventures of Cray series. I can say I LOVE these book as well. Colorful and beautiful illustrations and rhyming storytelling really draw you in and you cannot help but not love Turtle Fay with Cray Crab and friends.
It is time for Turtle Fay to travel to warmer waters and invites along Cray Crab. What fun to have is a Kindness Parade before departure. As Fay and Cray start their journey…they meet and help new friends along the way.
Wonderful story and I love all the adventures that Turtle Fay with Cray Crab and friends have. This story made me smile from ear to ear.

Immediate attention grabber! Stephanie R. Caffrey kept me guessing what was going to happen next throughout the entire book. Perfect balance of mystery, drama, and romance. Everything a pet could want, or need is explored. This educational picture books guides you through every aspect of what type of pet is right for you and what is needed to care for the pet. Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens is a well thought out story and draws the reader in. I have fostered cats and always taken in cats from rescue homes to ensure they are well loved within a forever home with me or another. Children will delight in the colourful illustrations as well in the story itself.
Kris & The Pirates colourful and imaginative adventure story. Young readers will be swept away and into the story just as Kris does when she sees herself and her crew face off against pirates. It is full of fun, information and facts that makes the story even more interesting and is brought to life with the complementing illustrations. Learning things about ships, animals and more. Besides the fun the story instils ideals on overcoming fear and perseverance. Children will love the adventure.

Fun informative little series that always spreads good values can’t wait to see what Cray and his friends face next.

Stunning, creative read. This is the first book I have read by the incredible Suzanna Lynn, and I can tell you know she has a lifetime fan already in me. Mermaid Tails seems like a pretty straightforward book but it’s anything but. Filled from front to back with interesting facts about different ocean creatures followed by stunning creative Mermaid versions by the incredible Suzanna Smith. The beautiful illustrations gave me Thumbelina and Fern Gully feel, two of my all-time favorite movies since I was little. Wonderful book for all ages. I know I’ll be getting a physical copy asap for my shelf for future use.
