This story kind of reads like a child’s fairytale but only the adult version. This story has characters that not only pop of the pages but also keep you reading until the last page. Wren has returned home. You would think that it would be a happy return but not so much. Her story is full of magic, nightmares and much more. She is a strong character that is fierce, determined and fights for what she believes in. This is a great book to pick up, no regrets. I highly recommend Wren’s story.

Well I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed as I already have read previous novels from this author but boy oh boy this novel was on a completely different level! It was a stunning love story but it really wasn’t just that it takes you on one hell of a emotional journey heartbreak, pain, fear, trust, and trying to have hope and faith. You will definitely need tissues and lots of them I’m not ashamed to admit that there was more then one occasion where I cried like a baby the tears were streaming down my face. There is a very sensitive topic in this novel but the author wrote about it in an amazing way true talent right there. I feel like after reading this novel it kind of opens your eyes to how cruel life can be but you just have to keep hold of that hope even if it’s just alittle and keep fighting! Wow just amazing!!!
I enjoyed this book. It is a paranormal shifter story that kept me turning pages until the end. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story right from the beginning. The characters are creative and made the story come to life for me. Louisa and Jack are interesting together. She just wants to start new but the world she enters maybe not be what she thought. He just wants to be loved but not don’t think he is good enough for her. Will they find their HEA? I highly recommend their story.

Fictional-ish Friends by Natalina Reis is a well written standalone romantic comedy that I loved diving into. Livie has always been in the love with Kyle, and always wanted for the day he wakes up and knows they belong together. Mia, gets in the way and ruins whatever could happen between them and Livie moves to Scotland to finally have her dream of opening a bookstore. When Kyle finally open his eyes to Livie, will it be too late for love to blossom once again? YOU must read this book to find out what happens with Livie and Kyle! The author did a great job with amazing characters and a story line that I truly loved. My emotions were all over the place and I love books that grip me like that. I give this book 5 stars!

This was an amazing book! I assumed it was your typical paranormal romance, but I was so pleasantly surprised. There is so much going on in this book. The action, the suspense, the grief, plus happiness and love — it is all there. And the characters are incredible!! Not just the main ones, but the cast of secondary characters are just as great. I hope to learn more about them in future books.
This book has some heavy scenes and romance, but it is such a well-rounded book the if you like urban fantasy, you will be hooked. I cannot wait to read the next in the series and highly recommend this book.

It hooks you in from the start and I found that I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. There are times when I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the character of Wren. She is a leader who knows that the coming battle has risks. She is strong and has a fierce determination. What will happen in the coming battle? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job of building a world that includes magic. I felt like I was right there with the characters. This is a story that takes you on a journey with interesting and intriguing characters. There are tense moments. This is an exciting and entertaining read. Highly recommended.

The story Furbidden Attraction: A Cursed Romance (Raven Falls Cursed Romances Book 1) by R. O’Leary is an amazing book to read. I love how the author builds a world that includes shifters and other paranormal creatures. I loved reading about the characters of Jack and Louisa. Jack is a shapeshifter that has always put his clan first. He also can’t deny the pull and attraction that he feels for Louisa. Louisa is a woman who is trying to start over. Things are not going as she expected. Louisa is strong, independent, feisty, and stubborn. She too feels a pull towards Jack. What does the future hold for Jack and Louisa? Read this book to find out. This story had me both turning pages wondering what was going to happen next and also feeling the temperature in the room rise when reading of the romantic moments. I found myself hoping for Jack and Louisa to find happiness. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between them. I also enjoyed the additional characters that you are introduced to. Many of them are helpful to Jack and Louisa. Then there are those who have their own plans and agenda. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page. Dracones Guardian by Sheri-Lynn Marean a four-star read that will give you wings. This is number six in the series, but it can be read as stand-alone, I haven’t read all of the series and don’t feel like I’ve missed anything. This one has it all, romance and drama with fantasy thrown in for good measure. It’s a story filled with ups and downs, enough drama and passion to keep you hooked but not enough that its overdone. Due to the ups and downs you do need to read closely and pay attention to the story to keep up, but if you do it’s a good read. I don’t want to give spoilers as the story is worth reading.

So after what happened at the end of Wrath (book 1) I wasn’t so sure I was going to like the second book in the series but I absolutely loved it! Again it was dark, gritty and a little gruesome (although not quite as much as book 1 as things are left more to the readers imagination) and I loved the characters. It took me a little while, well a few pages anyway, to get to like Alek I wasn’t quiet expecting him to win me over like he did but the way he was with Kitty (Brynn) was really sweet, he may have not wanted to like her but it was obvious in the things that he did that she meant something to him. The chemistry between them was hot and there were certainly some steamy moments also! I am extremely excited for the next book in the series ‘Surviving Wrath’! I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

Trickster’s Hunt by Carrie Whitethorne is an interesting story. This is my first by Carrie Whitethorne and I found it a great story. There were times that I was a bit confused but I continues to read on and I am glad I did. There is an element of Egyptian Mythology, personally I love that subject, that in interwoven into the plot. There is also three genies and if you do not know anything about genies they are real tricksters like the title of the book leads you to believe. Maia is the main character and she is nineteen but acts like she is much older. Will Maia capture your mind and heart as she does mine?

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims is a story of love and passion, uncertainty and expectations, fear and loss, hope and surprises. It is a quick and engrossing read that is full of the unexpected, it is also an emotional rollercoaster ride and yes there were tears. The story is of a couple that are madly in love and are trying to juggle their careers, each other and the impending arrival of their first baby and what it means for them. There are some ups and downs and some unbelievable moments when you didn’t know what the outcome would be which had you on the edge of the seat. The main characters were delightful but some others not so much but they all made their part in the story. The romance between the main characters if off the charts and you can help but fall in love with them even in times when things are a little rocky.
I can’t wait to see what Michele brings us with the next installment to the series.

Unraveled by Aubrey Bondurant is an incredible story of love and passion, uncertainty and expectations, fear and loss, hope and surprises. I have to say that it is definitely up there in my list of favourite reads this year. Aubrey has outdone herself and OMG there was sobbing, heart wrenching tears at times and laughter out loud moments but my heart was full of love for these wonderful and amazing characters. I am reduced to tears once again just reliving the story to write this review. It is an engrossing read that is full of the unexpected. There are loads of ups and downs and some unbelievable moments when you didn’t know what the outcome would be which had you on the edge of the seat and your heart breaking. The main characters were delightful and I think I have a new book boyfriend. The romance between the main characters if off the charts and you can help but fall in love with them even in times when things are a little rocky.
Layla has had to make some hard decisions and is about to journey on an unknown route. What she doesn’t expect is to meet someone that just may change her whole life.
Kellan is busy building his business and doesn’t have time to date but when his best friends sister offers to help him with a crazy ex, things turn explosive and his life is forever changed in more than one way.

This book took me by surprise. At the start i found it hard to get into as there are so many characters, however i am so glad i kept reading. It turned into an amazing adventure and romance, full of action.
Zander is an angel who lives on earth protecting his family and other supernatural beings from harm.
One day a human enters his life with her daughter and her daughter isn’t all that she seems. So starts the dangerous adventure involving heaven and hell and shows that sometimes to save the ones you love you have to leave them
The Mourning Islands By Douglas Wells ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a story full of mystery, murder and a little romance in the mix. This is a full length novel. Well worth the read.
I really love this story. It was a true rollercoaster of suspense.uv Never a dull moment. Talmon is an veteran, suffering from PTSD. His duty with the Army may have ended, but the nightmares have not. Not long out of the hospital, he gets hired as a spy. That is where the story takes off.
Douglas Wells has written yet another fast paced suspense story. I really have come to like this author. He has a way of getting you worked up. The emotional settings, the romance and the killings all brought out the feels. I fell in love with his characters and want to read more. Keep them coming Douglas Wells!

A couple of things I contemplated as I began this review…
Did I love this book so much because I have a mad crush on the author? Sure Did I love this book so much because I have more than a passing acquaintance with drains (remind me to tell you the story about why I no longer say “if there is ANYTHING you need, call me”)? Yup Did I love this book so much because I had to put adulting on hold so that I could finish it? Indeed Would I be rating this book differently if I didn’t know who wrote it and it was about something other than the specific thing it is about? Maybe, but the good news is that it IS by this author and the subject matter IS what it is.
From the very first chapter I was drawn into this story. I picked it solely because of the author’s name and didn’t know the subject matter until I read the author’s note and first few pages. Each and every character is fully developed and actualized. The details are laid out in such a conversational that you don’t realize you are being given necessary background and medical details that are needed to understand what is going on.
At times the pace slowed down a bit, I think it had to – Sometimes life slows down to a crawl – and sometimes it was moving so quickly it was like watching 30 second montage.
I don’t want to give anything away about this book, I will simply say – I absolutely recommend it and it is one of my top 10 reads of 2019.
Unraveled by Aubrey Bondurant is a story that shows the depth of true love and it was a truly beautiful story.
Layla and Kellan meet by chance when she saves him from an uncomfortable situation and the sparks between them are undeniable. What started as a one stand turned into so much more without either of them wanting it to due to the timing in their lives not being ideal.
The relationship between Layla and her Mom was so relatable for me on both sides. The Mother/Daughter relationship can be a tough one to navigate and I feel like Ms. Bondurant did a great job showing the ups and downs.
I have had the pleasure of reading almost everything written by Ms. Bondurant and this is my favorite so far. I look forward to seeing what she is releasing next.

Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen. This is the 10th book in the Beachcomber Series. It is a romantic thriller that will keep you in your toes waiting to see what will happen next. This book was full of excitement and drama. There was never a dull moment and I can not wait to see what this author has coming next.
Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen 5 stars
What a story. Meeting in Vegas and never exchanging real names, these two meet again 2 years later. Sparks fly, but he’s her new boss. I really loved these characters. Despite her being from a very well off family, she knows what hard work is and strives to make it on her own.
I won’t give away anymore of the story as its best to be read and figured out as you go. I really loved Peyton and Sig, they seemed great! Highly recommend!

Having read and loved the Prestian series by this author I couldn’t wait to get started on Shattered which is the first book in the Torzial Affair series and what a start to the series it was! I was hooked from the very first page until the last! The story was excellently written, there are some tougher parts to read however the author write about them carefully and respectfully. I really do absolutely love everything that I have read by this author. The main characters Jenny and Brian were captivating to read about and having met them in the previous story I was really excited to see how their story would progress! Their story had it emotional parts but the connection that they had was amazing. Brian might be a controlling dominant but there was another side to him and he wanted to help Jenny overcome her demons. I am very excited to read the next book in the series, Bound, to see where Jenny and Brian’s relationship goes!

Jake The Growling Dog is a cute and fun children’s book. It has beautiful pictures and a great lesson. It is written to help teach children about diversity, kindness, friendship, and mindfulness. I love that it includes a short exercise at the end for mindfulness and self love. My son enjoyed listening to me read to him and looking at the pictures featuring the different animals. This is definitely going to be a book I read again and again to my son and I highly recommend it.

The Mourning Islands by Douglas Wells is an intriguing read that I was able to dive right into. This crime thriller is about Talmon, a veteran who suffers from PTSD and has been able to hide it well. He is offered a job to spy on the builders of a new resort on Mourning Island. He in the process is drawn to Marlene, the sister of who he has been hired to spy on. Suddenly there is a murder and Talmon learns that the mob is involved. As the violence grows, Talmon is worried his lie could ruin so much with Marlene and himself. Could Marlene forgive him? This is my first book by this author and I was not disappointed in anyway and hope to read more from him in the future. This 5 star read I highly recommend and think any crime readers would get lost in this well written book.
Wrath by Gwyn McNamee is simply phenomenal! This is the first book in her series titled the Deadliest Sin, a series I can’t wait to continue with. Though this was a quick read I still highly enjoyed it and I couldn’t put it down and I read it in one short sitting. This storyline is dark, action-packed, twisted, steamy and so addicting.
I was truly devastated when I reached the end as I could have continued reading this book for hours. I can’t wait to dive into book 2!

Shattered by Via Mari a five-star read that will shatter you. This is the first novel in the Torzial affair series, and it shows promise of a great series to come. This is filled with drama and suspense, with some light humour and some other stuff thrown in for good measure. This author has a great way of bringing the characters to life and showing you their multi-faceted sides, showing us how the deal with new experiences in such a great way that you will feel liken your experiencing them at the same times. Jenny and Brian are great characters and they will surprise you with their strength. Their story is sublime and one that you will enjoy, once you read this one, you won’t be long until you get number two.

Holy Buckets!! So I’ll start with, this is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t stand walking away from it until I finished. It flowed in a way that made it a really quick read and I didnt want it to end.
I don’t even know where to start with this review as I am so afraid I’ll give too much away, but I can tell you that Cade and Lecia were awesome characters and I love that this all started out with them already married and expecting a baby, a baby that was conceived on their honeymoon which I find awesome since I was born almost 9 months to the day my parents got married 🙂
The journey through their pregnancy was filled with alot of normal reality and I loved how that was all written but then the past comes slamming into the story knocking me completely off kilter. The twists and turns were totally unexpected and took this story in a whole different direction and I’ll admit scared the bejesus out of me. Everything gets put to the test and I just can’t even imagine.
I loved the family dynamic in this book from both Cade and Lecia’s sides. Strong family bonds always draw me in and this one was everything I love. I can’t even tell you how much I can not wait for the next in this series.

Dracones Guardian: Dark Dragon was a great 5 star read. This is a great paranormal/fantasy romance. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
This is a great story with Zander and Chloe. Zander is an archangel committed to keeping people safe from fallen angels. When he ends up on earth he has his children to keep safe. Than he meets Chloe. There is something about her that draws him in. The thing is, she is human. Things take a serious turn when an enemy makes themselves known.
Can Zander keep everyone safe? Can he have more with Chloe?
My emotions were all over the place. The author did a great job with the detail and pulling you right into the scenes, I felt like I was right there at times. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. You can read as a stand alone but I suggest reading the books prior to this one, you will connect better with the characters. I can’t wait to read more from this author and series.

Beckoned: Adrift in New Zealand is part six and final chapter in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn. I have to say, this is one of my favorite series this year. This series needs to be read in order and in it entirety to really understand this beautiful story. This is the end of Soren’s story, and I couldn’t put it down from the beginning to end. There were surprises I didn’t see coming and I loved the ending. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

BECKONED, Part 6: Adrift in New Zealand by Aviva Vaughn is the final installment of the Beckoned series. Soren is in Costa Rica still working the kinks in his relationship with Elena. Just when he thinks things are going well and he is in a happy place, his new business has him traveling to New Zealand. During his time in New Zealand, he comes into contact with two women from his past. Soren’s not so lucky journey for love may take a turn for the better or worst. You have to read this series and book to find out the outcome.
It is sad to see this series come to and end but also happy to see how Soren evolves in his relationships. Soren has been through a lot, including his family cutting him off monetarily, which has made him evolve into the man he has become and a great character to read about. Aviva doesn’t disappoint with her highly descriptive scenarios that make you feel that you are in all the countries that her stories take place in. I highly recommended this series, and should be read from the beginning, in order, to get the backstory on all the characters and great locations that are visited along the way

I’m not going to lie, I couldn’t get this book open fast enough as soon as it hit my kindle. I loved the Prestian Series from Via Mari, so knowing that this was a spin-off with characters that I had already grown to love I was dying to see what Ms. Mari had in store for them. Boy oh boy she did not disappoint, especially given my high expectations. I have a feeling that the Torzial Affair books will be something I am going to adore. I am going to note that it would probably super beneficial to read the Prestian series before you dive into this one. There is just something special about having the full story and knowing these characters lives.
In Torizal Affair we find out all about Jenny, Kate’s best friend. I love Jenny, no lie probably more than I thought I loved Kate. She is one strong and amazing gal and reading her story, while at times difficult and possibly triggering for some, was truly one of my favorite reading times this year so far. I love how you can see Via Mari’s growth as a writer and truly with the grace she wrote Jenny’s story it is evident once again that she has some pretty amazing author skills. You won’t get much as far as spoilers of more details from me, I won’t spoil the goods for you, but take my word for it that this book and the Prestian series is one that you don’t want to miss.

To say that Unraveled by Aubrey Bondurant was an emotional rollercoaster ride to read would simply be an understatement. The entire time I was wrapped up in Layla and Kellan’s story I found myself so immersed and overcome with the feelings leaping up off the page that I quickly lost track of time and devoured it in one sitting. I have never had the opportunity before Unraveled to read anything from Aubrey Bondurant but now that I have I must say I am a wee bit obsessed and have been adding everything she has available to my TBR list. I can’t wait to see what else we will get from her too. Kellan and Layla are not your typical love story, they have a devastating twist that will make you stop and question your own priorities and support system. I can’t and won’t sit and give you any more details than that because it would be a real travesty to ruin anything about this novel. You will just have to take my word for it and dive in! You won’t be sad that you did! Thanks for the lovely read Ms. Bondurant!
