Delightful early reader short story Detective Dylan and the Case of the Missing Mail is an engaging story that would make a great introduction to chapter book reading for early readers. The characters are relatable, the plot interesting and the writing has good pacing and is easy to follow. Great addition to a classroom or home library. Recommend for ages 7yrs-10yrs.

It is nice to pop in and out of this journal and make time each day for the prompts. It is very helpful if you are just starting on your journalling journey.

What an enjoyable and cozy mystery! I accidentally picked this book up instead of starting with the first in the series, but it was still entertaining. I will definitely be picking up the previous books as well since this one turned out to be a diamond in the rough. It took a bit for me to find the rhythm of the story, but once I did there was just no putting it down. Mimi was a character I could relate to well and was invested in her very quickly. This was my first book by this author, and it is far from the last. I recommend picking this one up if you are interested in cozy mysteries with plenty of twists and turns!

Dark moon secrets is the first book in the Witch Moon series by Lillian Rose. It is slow to start with a lot of character building once you get past this it is a rather intricate and intriguing story about Tanjie.
She was born into a life that destiny had predetermined and she never knew about until it was too late to seek advice from her loved ones. Mystery surrounds the book store which is a human front for the world that she belongs to. Witches and shapeshifters, secrets, sexual innuendo, forbidden attractions, tension and mysteries this book has it all.
I loved the fact that this book is set in Australia and as an Australian the areas were familiar to me.

It is a gripping dark romance that not only captured our fmc- but definitely captured my attention right from the very first page. Full of angsty drama, chemistry, steam, emotion, secrets, danger, debts, abduction/captive, family dynamics, agendas, tension, intrigue, and much more. When the King is owed money- the debt will be paid, one way or another. Unfortunately for Ava, her brother owes King, big time. And when he doesn’t pay up – she is held accountable. Either her brother pays, or she will. No one messes with the King. Things get more complicated as their chemistry ignites. With other agendas in play, the story takes a tense turn. I was sucked into Mission Target immediately. The author has a way of pulling you in and keeping the reader intrigued. I didn’t want to put the book down, I only did because I couldn’t keep my eyes open. The only one more chapter game didn’t win the battle.. lol Jake and his dog Cody have been contracted to rid the world of evil. And this instance is by the secret service to bring down a drug lord that has a secret vendetta against the United States. Jake, a former marine, doesn’t mind taking care of tasks off the book, if for the better good. Unfortunately it lands a target on his back because he’s put a dent in this deadly vendetta operation. Fortunately for Jake he doesn’t just have law enforcement behind him but the Italian mafia as well. Will he succeed in getting tranq off the streets? The author takes the reader on a journey through many crimes and incidents. All of which in the end seem to be related. It seemed like a lot at first but as the story gains steam everything shifts into place, giving the reader the “I want to know what happens next feeling.” This is the first book I’ve read in this series, so I’m looking forward to going back and digging into the other ones. Also other potential books by this author as well. While I do that, you should read this!

This is my first Bates book and within this series. I tend to be a bit apprehensive jumping in the middle of the series and feeling like I’d get lost in translation but this one was far from it. I really enjoy reading cozy mysteries and this one did not disappoint! It grabbed my attention from the beginning as the mention of the heart brooch. Mimi, who is currently a jeweler at her father’s jewelry shop, has had aspirations of becoming a reporter but now it seems along with the help of her detective boyfriend has become a sleuth in the making. As more intrigue and unexpected circumstances follow along with this heart brooch and discovering its true owner as well as its mysterious, possibly cursed past. The characters are great, comical and keep you on your toes on what will happen next. I will be reading the previous books in the series as well as looking forward to more mysteries to come!

This book was very intriguing, and also very dark which I loved. I read this in less than a day because it was captivating and had me flipping the pages at a steady beat. I recommend this book to all my dark romance friends. April did a fantastic job, especially with the banter and chemistry between the two main characters.

Devorah has had more than enough trauma to last a lifetime. After leaving her abusive husband she is on a mission, albeit not too quickly, to regain control of herself and her life. Woman Unbroken was an emotional read. The main character, Devorah, was easy to like and relate to. I love that in seeking a new life Devorah didn’t take the easy route. The author did a great job truly making this a story of rediscover and working through the tough stuff.

While I don’t get triggered by much, I have had a past that aligns closely with this read, and this book helped unpacked some pent up emotions for sure. The story of this young, teenager girl in this book followed down a path that I know personally, and a path that way too many people have to follow. This is a strong, well-written book that sincerely sheds just a glimmer of light on way to common situations, from sexual abuse to therapy afterwards and even getting a life back on track after multiple ‘failures’. Read this book with caution and with an open mind, someone you know and love may have these paths that they fight and you have no idea about it (another too common issue).

This is such a fun holiday read. I enjoyed each and every second of it. I loved that the main character is in Australia because it definitely challenged for me what a holiday read consists of. I’m used to snowy backdrops to my holiday story. In this book we trade this for surf and sand. Lizzy and Jaz are wonderful characters and their chance meeting is truly enchanting. It definitely looks at the question of can a vacation fling last? These characters are so enchanting and really feel like your friends. I loved this fast romance and I definitely recommend picking this book up!

This is such a good book! I will say that I was left with a lot of unanswered questions. I am hoping that there is more to come and everything will fall into place. This book ends on a cliff hanger but it ends in such away that there is some semblance of closure for a first book. This book moves very quickly and definitely kept me wanting more. I love the concept for this book. It explores the concept of being careful what you wish for. I mean I don’t know what person doesn’t wish to win the lottery. This book explores the dark side of this reality. It takes you on a roller coaster of an adventure where you definitely are guessing at every turn. I recommend reading this one and cannot wait to read the next book!

This is the first book I have read by this author. It was a pretty good mystery. Mimi works with her father, who owns a jewelry store. An old friend of hers brings in a large diamond that she’s trying very hard to get rid of. She says it’s cursed but Mimi and her father don’t believe in curses. Right? If you like reading mysteries then I would recommend this book. It will keep you guessing.

D.M. Earl knows how to weave a fantastic story. This is the seventh book in the Grimm Wolves MC series. Although it is part of the series it definitely functions as a standalone and I definitely recommend picking up this or another one of this series to introduce yourself to the MC. D.M. Earl creates a fantastic fast paced book that sucks you in from the very first sentence until the end. And to me they always leave wanting more and wanting more of a follow up of what happens to the Main Character and this story is no different. Frank (Dingo) is amazing he is definitely a protector. Celee is the type of character the D.M. Earl always creates a female with a plan who is not a damsel in distress. She is in distress but she is not a damsel and she has her own plan. She meets Dingo online and he is willing to forgo everything he loves to protect her. But in following his heart with Celee he is risking dager to the Grimm Wolves who have become his family. However, his family will not turn their back on him or Celee. This story shows the healing power of love as well as what family really means. I cannot express how much I love this story. Once again, D.M. Earl delivers on a fantastic book that I am so glad that I have read. I will definitely recommend this book to everyone as well as anxiously await the next book about one of the Grimm Wolves.

This book is extremely dark and with a lot of very triggering subjects. I enjoyed this book but was a little frustrated with Kingston and Ava’s relationship multiple times. King is someone who had a rough life and took the wrong path in life and Ava is the typical good girl that also had a difficult life after the dead of her parents. This is definitely a book for those who love very dark SMUT. I can’t wait to read the next book. Please make sure to read trigger warnings.

This has to be the Everything story of the year! I loved it! Marcie has been hired to dog sit a King Charles Spaniel. Easy right? Wrong, she not only cares for the dog. She also has to take pictures of the antique elf doing different crazy things. Send it in to the contest and remember to keep track of events. Again, easy? Nope, she meets Ted Barrett, an Air Force Pilot. That is where things heat up as romance is in the air. Until Marcie goes missing. Will Ted find her in time?That is all I am going to say about this incredible story. The author has written a rollercoaster of suspense and romance. The characters are funny as well as serious, they sure kept me intrigued. I had to keep turning pages as I could not put it down. There is so much to discover in this story. I hope you enjoy it as well.
Mimi Rosen’s family is in the diamond business. When her father purchases a “cursed” diamond, Mimi and her father are doubtful. But as things begin happening to everyone who has been involved with the diamond, Mimi starts to believe the diamond really is cursed. This was an interesting mystery that kept me reading to the end.

Tanjie befriends an older woman in her apartment building and becomes close. When the woman died, she left strict instructions and a bookshop to Tanjie in her will. Tanjie has no intention of running this bookshop in the middle of nowhere but the rules state she must run the shop for a year before she is to make any decisions about the shop.
Tanjie makes her way to the town with hopes of staying 2 weeks max but destiny has another plan. Almost instantly an accident happens rendering her car and only escape useless for the time being. It seems as if someone or something is making her stay in this strange town. She meets Luna who is the current caretaker of the shop and finds out that Tanjie is actually an untrained witch who was prophesied to make a difference in the coven.
Alaric is the son of the Alpha of the Dark Moon pack, he is mysterious and sexy but also a bit of a wildcard within the pack. He always has to prove himself to his father but it’s never enough. When Al meets Tanjie he can’t help but instantly be attracted to her. A wolf shifter and a witch? Forbidden! He can’t seem to get her out of his mind and keeps finding ways to go back to her. If they are caught, it could ruin both of their futures within their respective groups.
I read another series from this author and really enjoyed it so when I saw this book, I knew I had to read it! This author does a really good job writing paranormal romances. They write each character in such detail that you can immerse yourself and become one with the character. The author also does a fantastic job describing the world so you get a feel of what life is like. With some steamy romance, detailed enough for intrigue but vague enough to not be crude, you are in for a treat.

A fun and enjoyable story aimed at pre-teen age readers, however, as an adult I also thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. It’s part of the ‘Amberwood Hall Ballet School series, about a haunted ballet school. The fearless heroine of the series Lauren just wants to help a new ghost in town, but her act of kindness puts all the ghosts in danger. As she tries to put things right, amongst the strange happenings at the school her friendship with Grace is tested and she gets closer to Jay. Lauren must find out who is causing all the mischief and stop them, however she is torn between her loyalty to her ghostly best friend and her commitment to saving her school. Meanwhile, there is a prestigious show in the old theatre in the town and Lauren’s important exams are coming up. I loved the main character, Lauren and I found her to be extremely likeable, and I can imagine that she would be very relatable to those in the age range that this book is aimed at. The storyline is full of mystery, ghosts, friendship and pre-teen romance, and generally growing up. A wonderfully written story and an engaging read.

Unexpected by Layla Abrams is an opposite attracts, modern-day romance. Claire Morgan is an heiress who is far from the shallow air-head that she lets people believe she is. Nick Holden is a waiter/struggling artist who is about to lose his scholarship. These two feel that they have no future because of their class difference but act on their attraction anyway. Of course, there is more to them than the physical and now they must work backwards to see if they can make things work. I enjoyed this story. This is a reverse situation of the rich /poor dynamic and it is very interesting to see. The characters had great chemistry and it was fun watching them make things work. The inspiration and impact that they had on each other was wonderful. The story is very well-written and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. This was a fun twist on an old fairytale classic dynamic.

This is the 3rd book in The Diamond District Mystery Series. This is a cosy mystery filled with twists and turns that will keep you guessing from beginning to end. I read this book without realising it was the 3rd one however it didn’t take away my enjoyment of the story. These books can be read as a standalone however I will be going back to read the first too books in the series. This is a story based in the world of diamonds, from buying them to selling them and every part in-between. It was a really unique story as I knew little about the process before. Imparticular we are following 1 diamond that is supposedly cursed but is there such as thing as a cursed diamond?
When the seller of the “cursed” Diamond is found dead the our main character and amateur sleth decides to investigate. Was the diamond really cursed? What will happen to the person who now had possession of the diamond now? Will they suffer the same fate?
This is a story full of twists and turns, secrets and lies, cursed diamonds and a question everyone wants an answer to, who does the diamond belong to? And does it really hold a curse. Mimi is determined to find out and get to the bottom of the mystery even if it could put her own safety in danger.
I love Mysteries and this was fast paced and engaging. I loved how determined Mimi was to get to the truth and how that determination kept pushing her forwards. Overall it was a really enjoyable mystery.
