This is an amazingly dark psychological thriller with a little romantic suspense. I found myself on the edge of my seat as the book went along. This author writes in a way that truly builds the tension as it goes. The characters are just hiding secrets alll over the place and the web of lies is going out wider. One crash unravels so much deceit. Nothing really is as it seemed. This is a book that you really must check out.
Angsty werewolf romance I love a good werewolf story and this did not disappoint. Wolfbane is the first book in the Wolfbane series and it is a strong start. With good characterisation, world building and lots of emotion I found myself reading late into the night. The author gives a different spin on fated mates and the mate bond which I found interesting. I really liked the different POVs throughout as it gives so much more depth to the story. I eagerly await book 2. Highly recommend!

Contemporary Enemies to Lovers This is the 3rd book in the Tessa and Jordan series and is Lindy and Cade’s story. It can be read as a stand-alone. Lindy is Tessa’s younger ‘sister’ and is an aspiring fashion designer. She is a very strong character and doesn’t hold back. Cade is all alpha male and has a jaded view of relationships and women. When their worlds collide it is a battle of wills and led to some fiery scenes. This story had a bit of everything – enemies to lovers, fake girlfriend, second chances, alpha male, billionaire romance. Recommend.

What a fantastic conclusion to Phoenix and Aspen’s Duet! This book is my favorite so far in the series!
The book picked up right where the previous one left me hanging, and what a cliffhanger that was!!!! Oh my gosh…talk about a nailbiter! Phoenix is in the hospital and his memories of the last few years are gone which include his memory of who Aspen is and all of the struggles they have had to endure. However, he knows she has played an important part in his life, and he feels the same pull towards her as he did before the accident. There was a lot going on in this book, and I loved every minute of it!
Cruel Love was such an appropriate title for this particular book as Cruel Hate was a perfect title for the previous one. In that one, despite the chemistry and pull of Aspen and Phoenix, a lot of their emotions for one another could be construed as hate. There was so much back and forth and push and pull between them. If I didn’t know how they truly felt about each other, I would have thought they had no promise of a future together. However, Vaughn turned all of that negativity and anger on its head in this book. The accident has made Phoenix kinder, more patient, and less self-centered. Those protective walls he has erected aren’t there which in turn causes Aspen to be more vulnerable and trusting with him. This was a much sweeter read, and I enjoyed watching the two of them get to know one another and really fall for each other.
As they discover their love for each other, several background stories develop and connect as well. The mystery of Phoenix’s grandfather’s actions which involve Shane, Phoenix’s twin, is coming to light and more about their mother and father’s pasts is being discovered as well. It’s the perfect combination of romance and mystery.
Isla Vaughn is an expert in taking her readers on a rollercoaster of emotions. My heart has been broken and put back together, and she has made me so angry that I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room and throttle some of the characters. Yet, that is what a great writer does, she or he tugs at your emotions, and Vaughn is incredibly talented at doing that. It is what keeps me coming back for more. She has really set us up for what promises to be a great set of books next. It’s finally Shane’s turn to tell us his story, and if the cliffhanger we are left with at the end of this book is any indication, it’s going to be one heck of a ride!!

Wild Lavender: A Fated Lovers Epic Romantasy (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher- 4 out of 5 stars
First book in the Heart and Hand Series and boy did it not disappoint. This book is a historically fantasy with castles, kingdoms, warriors, and secrets. So many great elements for this second chance medieval romance novel. I can not wait to see what else this author has in store for the future of this series. I recommend this read.

What we never say by Paulette Stout- 5 out of 5 stars
This book sucked me in on page one, it is that good! It tackles such a delicate subject from a male’s perspective which was both surprising and made me realize that most books only protray female sexual assault victims not male. I would recommend a trigger warning for anyone who has experienced a traumatic sexual event. Very powerful and realistic journey that people face daily all around us. This is the second book I have read from this amazing author and I have got to say that I am extremely impressed and can not wait to see what else yhe future holds. I recommend this read.

To call our leading man Cade, a grumpy boss book would be an understatement! My god he is a total jerk right at the start and that makes you want to keep reading! LOL Well it hooked me for sure. I just had to know how our leading lady Lindy, was going to handle the jerk lol Their interactions were fantastic coupled with plenty of wit, banter…I think those are the words I’m looking for to describe it…and off the charts chemistry made this a must read for me. I can’t wait to devour more by this truly creative and talented author.

Another amazing addition to The McIntire County Series. This author has a way of grabbing you and pulling you into the story. These books are so hard to put down, you just never want it to stop. You know they are great books when you crave more and more from the characters or from the back story. I recommend reading this entire series because why should you limit yourself to only one?

Like the other books, this one is just as amazing. This is ending of Aspen and Phoenix’s story. This story picks right up from the last book. Since his accident he hasn’t exactly been the same. He doesn’t remember their time together. Aspen is scrambling to juggle everything, plus take care of their baby. Will they find their way back to each other?

4.5 stars No Amends is a tangled web of suspense, forbidden love, deception, secrets and lies. It is Angela’s debut suspense story, and it packs a punch. The tension ramps up in this story with anxiety, fear, expectation, with lots of turn abouts and so much more. This F/F, Romantic Suspense page-turning dark psychological thriller gives us a look into a dark and slightly twisted mind. The extent to which some individuals are willing to go for love. The more disturbing aspects of human nature. What lurks deep in the recesses of one’s mind? Angela’s unique writing style is compelling and the page turning plot driven story is action-packed with plenty of plot twists. So much so that it will leave readers wanting more. Tang Young has a deadly secret one that consumes her. One she hides within herself. One that will change her life forever. One night of tragedy. Grab a copy to see what it is all about. I am excited to see what Angela brings next.
Wondogfilled: Look, a Dog! By Dr. Kimberlie Harris is a children’s story for those between the ages of 0 – 8 years old. It is a story for those that are lovers of dogs just like Kingston in the story. Kingston is a delightful character, and his love of animals was a pleasure to encounter. This fun and beautifully illustrated story will have you smiling and at times laughing. It is a tale that encourages the imagination and helps with learning new words and different things. Dr Kimberlie has created a new world that helps shape young minds as helped by the bright and colourful pictures. Wondogfilled: Look, a Dog! Is a great book to share with others, to give as a present, keep within your home or within a school or library environment. No matter which it will be enjoyed by young and old alike. My grandsons absolutely loved this tale and I had to read it to them three times before they were happy to stop.
Fenimore James had the simple farm life but always thought that being an outlaw would be a much more exciting life. He decides to leave his family, change his name to Simon Shaw, and his appearance. All the fun he thought he would be having is short lived when someone is taking out his gang one by one. Simon also battles with himself when he starts liking a man he feared. So much happens within a year for him. This book was great. It was different than I thought, highly recommend.

Of course getting him to sign the divorce papers isn’t going to be easy when he claims to still love her. This amazing author has yet again brought her readers wonderful characters and a fantastic storyline that will keep you totally captivated and turning page after page because you just have to know what is going to happen next! 5 Stars Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan Book 3) by T. Christensen
Cruel Truths is the third book in the Tessa and Jordan Series and is a Enemies to Lover’s Romance/Contemporary Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished. The chemistry between Lindy and Cade is undeniable and the bantering back and forth between them keeps you turning the pages. Lindy is an aspiring fashion designer who comes across a job listing for a personal assistant for a big time company that could help her open up her future in fashion. Cade comes across as a giant a-hole. He knows what buttons to push but Lindy really needs this job so fake it till you make, because her family is depending on her. These two are no doubt my favorite characters and this story fun and engaging with a side of entertaining. I don’t want to give to much away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Cruel Truths is the third book in the Tessa and Jordan series by T. Christensen. Even though this is the 3rd instalment in the series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. It is probably my favourite of Ms. Christensen’s books, so far- because who doesn’t love a great enemies to lovers office romance? This one had that in spades… Throw in a grumpy-alphahole boss, forced proximity, chemistry, angst, push-pull, drama, and emotion- and this story was hard to put down. Lindy is determined to do whatever it takes to follow her dreams, even if it means putting up with an alphahole boss. Things get complicated along the way when forced to work closely together. Will things get hot enough to ignite their simmering chemistry? Or will his alphahole ways push her away? Well worth the read to find out. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Christensen has in store for us next. Happy Reading…

Cruel Truths is full of animosity, insane chemistry, and two characters who love to irritate that other. And guess what, I’m all for it! This is not my first book I’ve read by this author, but it’s probably my favorite. Right from the start you feel the tension between the two main characters and it sucks you in. Lindy is a stubborn independent woman. Which is why we love her. She refuses to let her boss steamroll her and has no qualms about standing up and demanding the respect/appreciation she deserves. However when her boss starts playing games, lines start to blur and she’s not all that sure how to handle that. Cade is the cold-hearted alpha business owner. He runs a tight ship and has low tolerance for incompetence. But his new PA is on the next level. She’s fiery, feisty, and has no problems putting him in his place. It drives him crazy in many ways, but in reality he wants her. So why not play this in his favor? He knows the chemistry is there. He knows what buttons to push. But reality he wants more, yet he’s do standoffish he doesn’t realize he’s hurting her slowly in the process? Does Lindy fall? Can Cade rein her in and demand obedience? So many questions and not enough content… lol Reality my questions were answered I just want more. I love these two characters. I couldn’t put the book down. I was in one of those I needed to sleep, but just one more chapter moods. And I’d be very surprised if you didn’t feel that way too! Enjoy!

Lindy Garcia left her family behind in San Jose to move to New York and give herself a chance to live her dreams. In an effort to help them and help alleviate some of her guilt, she shares an apartment in which her bedroom is in a walk in closet, but the trade off is that she and her roommate keep polar opposite hours for their jobs and she gets to have an apartment in a safe part of town. When she takes one last shot to start following her dreams by applying for a personal assistant job, she has no idea how much her life is about to change.
Cade Kingsley is an intense, brooding man who is a genius with his business sense. He is a marketing wizard and also the son of matriarch of Carrington Couture – the absolute pinnacle of success in Lindy’s eyes. As she waits for her interview, she senses quite a bit of tension in the office. After jumping in to try to help, she realizes what they’re all afraid of is the man she is waiting to interview with – and just interrupted while he was speaking.
Cade and Lindy are immediately surrounded by tension and fireworks, but more of the annoyed with one another kind. While Lindy knows she needs to work harder than ever to make this job work and to start climbing that ladder, something about Mr. Ahole just drives her absolutely insane. What she begins to learn as the book progresses is that his intensity isn’t just for intimidation in the business meeting. When Cade manages to convince Lindy to pretend to be his girlfriend to help seal a deal, she has no choice but to say yes. Will the sparks fly or will tempers flare first?

Ross had always loved Hadley, but worried he was no good for her. He was so concerned about protecting her from himself that first, he enlisted, and then, he watched her ride off on the back of his little brothers Harley. He never forgot her, though – and he never stopped pining for her.
Four years after watching her back disappear on that bike, he is surprised to get a letter from Hadley. She’s begging for his help to rescue her daughter from a MC gang that is dangerous, and Ross realizes as his protective instincts kick in that he plans to save them both.
Hadley has had many things happen to her in the past 4 years and has built nearly impenetrable walls to protect herself and her spirit – but she adores her daughter and would do anything to protect her. When she starts thinking of how to save her, she thinks of Ross and what a gentle giant and caretaker he always was.
After rescuing the woman he loves, he realizes it is going to take a lot of soothing, protecting, loving and supporting to get Hadley to open up to him and it’s just what his Daddy Dom heart desires. As he’s keeping her safe from those who mean to shut her up for good, will he help her heal her heart?

First, you can read this as a standalone novel, but you’re doing yourself a disservice to not go back and read the first entries by this author. Her writing style is enjoyable no matter the level of intensity throughout the story she is weaving.
Ethan is from a wealthy family who has mostly taken his own path, but it doesn’t make him any less rich and entitled than if he had stayed enmeshed with them. He has dominant desires and can generally pick his conquest that would be interested in what he offered from across the room. When he gets roped into attending a gala on behalf of his father, he spies someone from across the room who gets his attention immediately.
While she proves to not be the woman who was pursuing him for his abundance and hurt him in the past, she is her sister and looks startlingly like the one who damaged him. Siena sets off Ethan’s interests and ideas the minute he sees her, and he hatches a plan for revenge. When he begins sleuthing and finds she is in a dire situation that his money can help her out of, he approaches her in hopes of enjoying her and enjoying the revenge he gets, as well. What he never counted on was her becoming so much more than an act of revenge. Steamy scenes, enemies-to-lovers, maybe a smidge of this rich boy with a grudge ending up having a heart, after all.

Enemies to lovers, need I say more. This is the first book I have read by the amazing T. Christensen and yes this is the third book of the Tessa and Jordan Series, but it can be read as a standalone. I personally saw no missing information from not reading the previous two books. Enemies to lovers honestly must be my favorite trope and this book proves time and time again why I always come back to them. Lindy Garcia has decided that she is tired of living month to month in New York and the only way she will stay and not return home to San Jose is if she finally takes the next steps in her career. When she sees the job listing to be Cade Kingsley’s personal assistant and Kingsley Marketing, she feels that it is a sign for her to stay. Instantly she is put off by how much Mr. Asshole as she refers to him is cold and controlling. Determined to get the job, she bites her tongue a few times but lets out just enough attitude and personality to garner his attention. Her biggest concern is what does “whatever he wants” really mean? Cade Kingsley has too much on his plate and needs someone that can take some of it but do it the way he wants it handled. Ms. Garcia is different, she has something more to her that gives her fight, passion. From the moment she first stepped up and helped he knew she would be his it was only a matter of time. Lindy has a moment in her official interview, for just a brief second, he looks at her lips and she has a physical reaction she doesn’t expect but after years of perfecting her emotions she hides it well. She is not so easily won over and she will not be controlled by a bully. She wins over the boss to get the job but is she able to keep it? Is he victorious in winning her over and making her his? The world was so encompassing I could feel what the characters were feeling and yes when the moment called for it tears were shed. The characters pain and growth being natural and genuine. Lindy is not some sweet, docile woman that will blindly follow a man or be controlled even if he is her boss. Cade while used to being the alpha of alpha males shows he can soften even if just a little bit. I couldn’t put this book down once I started, chapter one honestly was hook line and sinker within the first couple of pages. Not many strong women shine in enemy to lover stories they tend to be more docile to the alpha males, but this book was the perfect blend of strength and weakness on both sides.

Wow. Cade and Lindy just might be my newest favorite couple. I absolutely love them! I love how they met, I love their chemistry. I Love how Lindy hated him and called him Mr A Hole for so long. I really did love Cade from the very beginning even in all his grumpiness. This book had everything that I love. Enemies to lovers. Lots of heat, super strong female MC and make MC that love hard when they fall. Even when they try to fight their feelings. When Cade runs his mouth after Lindy tries to do something nice, he might lose her for good. Love love loved this book!!!

Gumshoe Goes To a Quinceanera is book 2 in the Gumshoe Mysteries and I loved this story. The magic is back with a murder mystery with Mia and the lovable Gumshoe the cat. This book was easy to read, fun and hard to put down…..I devoured this book! I would very highly recommend reading book 1 in the series as you get to know the characters from the beginning.
Mia and her “squad” were all invited to attend a Quinceanera for their friend Tiffany. Beautiful dresses, wonderful food, dancing and friendships should be the focus…but someone is murdered during this beautiful event. Who is bold enough to take a life during a Quinceanera? Mia and Gumshoe are piecing together clues on whom may be responsible for this act….but this is not the first murder on their minds as Gumshoe was a witness to another prior….are both of these murders tied to each other for some reasons? Will Gumshoe and Mia be able to solve the mystery before anyone else is hurt? Will Mia’s promise also to help Gumshoe piece together his own past life come with any clues..
Definitely read and find out. I am really hoping for another book in this series….

Lindy, an aspiring fashion designer with big dreams comes across a posting for a job as a personal assistant in a big time company that could open up her future in fashion. She attends the interview only to find her potential boss Cade is a giant ahole!! Rude, intimidating, domineering he pushes every button Lindy has and causes her usual ability to smile and fake it to falter. Lindy really needs this job to continue to support her family and they are her number one priority so she signs on as Cades personal assistant doing as he puts it “whatever he requires” but the chemistry is nothing short of electric. What happens when Lindy and Cade fake a relationship as part of the latest business deal? Is the chemistry brewing between them going to light? Or will their ability to work together and succeed come crashing down. Can these two be honest about what they are feeling or will Lindy jeopardize her entire future in fashion and walk away forever Great fast paced story don’t miss it!
