I absolutely adored this story. The author created a unique world of angels, demons, fae, humans, and other magical creatures. We meet Jade and Baal and the electricity between the two of them was electric. The author did a great job of being descriptive and really drawing you into the tale. It was definitely a page turner that I couldn’t put down. All of the characters were well written and the author did a great job of creating well rounded characters. I loved seeing the growth in both Jade and Baal, both together and separately. This was my second story from the author, and I look forward to reading her other works.

The plot twists will keep you on your toes, begging for more up until the very end. I Loved You Yesterday is Navickas debut novel. She has quickly won me over. I already have book number two in my TBR pile. I highly recommend this book to anyone who thoroughly enjoys romance novels, especially when they include a love triangle with twin brothers. You won’t regret spending the weekend reading this one!
Jade has recently been relocated to the smallest of small towns humanly possible. The move was made through no choice of her own and was done to protect her from her ex. After Jade testified against him, she was placed in the Witness Protection Program where she was forced to not just move but to change her name and take on a whole new identity. Part of her new identity involves the “inheritance” of a small gift shop from her late “uncle” that she is expected to run as her own business. The store has a small apartment upstairs which she now gets to call home. Jade is far from happy about the situation but must make the best of it in order to stay safe from her ex and his goons that are after her.
Jade has not even had a chance to get settled when she meets Baala, who was originally there to kill Jade because it is prophesized that she would be the one to kill him. Instead, he was enticed by her beauty and decides to strike a bargain with her. Baala starts to tell her some very unsettling news about herself. Turns out that her parents had some secrets that they never revealed to their daughter prior to their passing years ago. Baala also reveals that he is a serpent shifter and the first king of Hell and that he needs her help to unlock a book that is hidden under the store. The two strike up a bargain in which she helps him unlock the book, but he must protect her from her ex. Jade is suddenly thrust into a whole new world that she did not even know existed.
This book pulled me in from the first pages when Jade’s whole life was uprooted to protect her from her ex. Jade’s ex was into some shady dealings and when she testified against him, she had no choice but to flee or be killed. Immediately, we realize how strong Jade is in order to have stood up to her ex and testify against him. She put her life in danger in order to bring him to justice. Jade expects a boring life, running a boring business, in a boring town. What she got instead was a life that she could never begin to dream could happen to someone like her. The life she had before suddenly dulls in comparison to the new life she is thrown into as suddenly, Jade is thrust into a world of demons, fae, angels, witches, shifters, magic, and the supernatural. A great read full of secrets, action, suspense, danger, drama, intrigue, and suspense.

When Riley woke up, she realized the warehouse was on fire. A man picked her up and ran, managing to escape the fire while waiting under a metal desk in the basement. When he spoke, Riley immediately recognized him.Tristan had met Riley nine months ago. He knew he wanted to get to know her better, but resolved to make sure Shannon understood their relationship was over. Shannon, however, refused to leave. After going to the coffeehouse several weeks in a row, Riley offered for him to join her at a table. He had to go back to work. He offered a raincheck and left when Shannon entered and made a scene. She had followed him. He told her they were over, but she refused to listen. She bombarded him with calls and even made one sound like a threat. This isn’t a long book, but it held the elements needed to be intense in all the right places. Riley and Tristan were both attracted to each other, but Shannon was keeping them apart. Shannon had a crazy girlfriend stalker painted all over her. The desperation to hold on to a man that she had only been on dates with for less than two months is astounding. I could understand Riley and Tristan being shocked to find each other during the fire. Despite the darker side of the book, there are several times I couldn’t help laughing at some things Riley and her friend Terrance said and did. When Riley hired Terrance, he fired her other secretary by walking up to her desk and stating he was the new office assistant. He then told her she was being let go. He even interfered with her confronting Riley by claiming she was extremely busy. Riley had hired him less than five minutes earlier. I have read another book by Elena Kincaid, and she is a talented writer. I look forward to reading many more of her novels in the future.

Aliens on Earth is a collection of short stories written by numerous authors. Each sci-fi adventure tells a different story and has different characters, some are human, and some are alien. The underlying theme is navigating love with someone from not only a different background but also from a different planet. With 36 different stories to choose from this collection has something for all lovers of sci-fi romance stories.
There were so many good stories that it would be hard to review all of them but there are two that stuck out and really grabbed my attention. The first one was The Alien and The Crime Boss by author Naomi Valkyrie. I have read many of this author’s work and love her writing style. This short story of a MM alien romance did not disappoint.
Leilphun has been exiled and now finds himself on the run to a strange new world where he hopes that he will be safe. He hopes to find a safe haven on Earth but gets “rescued” by someone that he may not be able to trust. Instead, he has been captured by a mafia crime boss whose family is battling another mafia family in a war to take over.
Kasper wants to take over but is choosing to bide his time and watch the war rage on between the families. Danger abounds when Kasper tries to merge the two families together. When he saves Leilphun he does not expect him to change his life or become attached to him. Leilphun is set on protecting and defending Kasper. The two are fated mates who now have found a reason to live and want more from life.
The second story that really drew me in was called Alice’s Illusions by Maya Black. This new author is one whose writing I immediately felt drawn to and I will be keeping an eye out for more of her stories.
Alice is a teenage girl who has recently lost her older sister. She is still grieving and unsure how to cope with the loss. Nobody in her home really talks about her sister and Alice feels that they do not care enough to honor her sister’s memory. Her parents bicker when the topic of her sister comes up and her younger brother still has nightmares every night. Alice feels alone and as though she has nobody to talk to about her sister’s death. Until the new boy, Hal, starts school and Alice learns that he lost his younger brother. Alice feels as though she has a kindred spirit in Hal and the two form an instant connection.
Hal helps Alice “speak” with her deceased sister a number of times through a Ouija board where she begins to learn the truth surrounding her sister’s death. Alice is horrified at what she discovers and starts to spiral out of control, lashing out at her parents, and spending even more time with Hal. As the two begin to spend more time together Alice senses that there is something not quite right about Hal. His moods swing drastically, and Alice begins to become frightened of him. She tries to push him away but feels a connection with him that is undeniable and cannot stay away from him. As the two bond, Alice’s behavior begins to worry her parents and they want her to seek help. Then Hal disappears and as the search for him begins the question rises as to who this elusive stranger is and where did he come from?
Each story may be different, but all are beautifully written, the storylines are interesting, and the characters are well developed. The authors did an amazing job in their writing, and I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. I read works from some authors whose writing I had previously read and was introduced to some new authors whose work I will be looking for in the future. These stories contained action, suspense, drama, danger, intrigue, and of course romance. A great compilation of short stories that does not disappoint.

Afflicted Love by Autumn Sand is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart series. This book was quite a ride. This was a very intense story of love and heartbreak. This story draws you in right away. This is an M/M romance that is steamy and romantic but also tumultuous. Kyle and Lyle met as young boys and found refuge in each other. When Kyle needs him the most, Lyle pushes him away and their love is severely tested. This story made my heart swoon and break. Some issues may be triggering but it is definitely worth the read.

A Curse of Ash and Iron by Christine Norris is a retelling of Cinderella. In Philadelphia 1876 Benjamin Grimm reunites with his friend Eleanor Banneker. He is saddened when he realizes that she has been living under a spell as a servant in her own home. This was such a fun take on Cinderella. The story balances magic and realism very well. It was nice to see old story beats mixed with new elements. The relationship between Benjamin and Eleanor is sweet. This was a very engaging story. A fun retelling with nice historical facts woven in. Very enjoyable.

This is a great start to this series. As soon as I started reading this book I was completely drawn into it and I couldn’t put it down. This story took me on a wonderful adventure. This was full of action, danger, fantasy, monsters, great characters and so much more. This author did an exceptional job at building a world the reader can get lost in. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. This is a must read, you will not be disappointed.

Where Fire Meets Flame (Yours From The Ashes Book 1) by Elena Kincaid. This is such a good slow burn romance. Its a short steamy read and if this 1st book is any indication of the next in the series I’m ready! Riley is a private investigator who finds other spouses or partners when they are cheating so she is in no hurry to find romance. When she meets Tristan the hot firefighter she is very attracted and he is as well but neither of them show it. Tristan has a crazy ex so he’s not ready for another relationship. When they finally do slow down and get to know one another they truly like each other and it gets very steamy very fast. I finished this book in one sitting and it was so good. I can’t wait til the next book in the series and hopefully I’ll be cooled down enough from this one to read it!

This was a cute little book. I like that the siblings had a “nice” banter going back and forth. We like that this author typically includes a differently abled character in her stories. We’re looking forward to reading more.

Healing kiss by Amanda Uhl is a story full of love and the paranormal makes it that more interesting.

Rich computer whiz Tristan King is the only man with enough vigor to save her sister’s life when she falls seriously ill. However, being close to him poses a threat to her privacy and could dismantle the barriers she has put up to protect her emotions.
Tristan is leery of emotional entanglements and doesn’t believe in the paranormal. But since his mother is dying and his ex-fiancée won’t leave him alone, he forms a deal with Lillian to have her appear as him for a charity event in exchange for his assistance. They encounter a spiraling web of secrets that threatens their developing feelings for each other as they work together to defend their loved ones. Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even more one of a kind characters. The story really transports you into their world. I couldn’t put the book down

However, her get in-heal-get out plan hits a snag when she runs into Tristan. The two strike up a mutually beneficial agreement in order to gain the other’s help…but they never expected feelings to get involved. Each has built walls around their hearts due to others using them for their own gain…but can they open up to each other before it is too late?!?
I enjoyed reading this story. Lillian is always looking over her shoulder and lives a life of solitude to protect those around her. But, it is at the expense of her own happiness. Tristan works hard to get past those walls…but, once again, Lillian is trying to protect him by sacrificing hers own wants (even through it is super frustrating as a reader!). When tragedy strikes, will they find their way back to each other? (You have to read to find out). Overall, a good paranormal romance story that I enjoyed reading.

I really enjoyed this paranormal fantasy. It had everything in a story I love. It is action packed, with secrets being reveled,magic, shapeshifters and the never ending battle between good and evil, and a added spark of a romance that shouldn’t work but does.
Jade is on the run. Part of the witness protection programme she believes the only worry she has is avoiding the grasp of her abusive ex and trying not to die of boredom in the new dead town she finds herself in but how wrong she is. When a stranger arrives in her bedroom she worries her ex has found her, however she couldn’t be more wrong. Baal is the first king of hell. He needs the help of a fairy to help him find a special key. However there is more to Jade than he realises at first. 1st she doesnt know she a fairy and has magical powers, 2nd according to the prophecy she has the ability to save or destroy him. How is he going to cope especially when he realises that the feelings between him and Jade become more than just attraction. Jade has always been attracted to a bad boy and Baal is no exception but how will she react when she learns the truth about her existence and the part she is supposed to play in Baal’s life. Can their budding romance overcome prophecy? I liked a lot about this but disliked the repeated unknown answers and slowness. I felt a lot of time was spent on secret agendas and us not getting a lot of information because it was being withheld from the main character. That frustrated me. I liked the world these characters live in as it is different. Also the magic and wildly creative creatures that come out as the story moves along kept me engaged.
The characters are plentiful and likable. Some more so than others but with all the duplicity you never know. Maren makes huge leaps and bounds in growth of herself. She starts at a town healer and meets a stranger who changes the course of her life.
Overall this is a good and action filled story. I feel it could have been a lot shorter with the same information. This foes end in a cliffhanger just as it we are getting a few answers to major questions so that bummed me out too. I have read other stories by this author but this is my first fantasy from her.

This book was amazing! This was the first book I have read by this author and I was BLOWN AWAY! I was initially drawn in by the cover art as well as the fact that it was a teacher student romance novel. The book was so good I could not put it down. I cannot wait to read more by this wonderful author!!! If you love a good romance with a student teacher with plot twists this is the book for you!

This is the first time reading this author, but she didn’t disappoint with this one. I had to keep reading this one. Its is a fast paced read in a YA nature. This book has done a number on me. Honestly what even just happened. This book held my attention right until the last page and the twists and turns were marvellous. When I was finished I sat there almost dumbfounded for a few minutes. Phenomenal book. Truly worth a read. It was well thought out, planned and executed and has you feeling like you’re right there along the ride. Cannot wait to find more from this new author to me.

Elle has had enough! Life had to be better somewhere else. Her past 6 years had been horrible for Elle. Now is the time to take her life back. Blake has had his share of heartbreak. His answer was the bottle, so he thought. Both Elle and Blake must take back their lives. Will these two broken people be able to get out from under their secrets and move on? The author has set up a story some of us have lived through. It was hard in the beginning, the emotions were raw, but the end brought forth a new message. I enjoy reading a strong willed woman, and a stronger male character who can fight their way out, and build back their independence. While this was a hard story for me to read, in the beginning. It soon became a must read book, sending out a whole new outlook. The emotions are raw and the events are real. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

A fantastic collection by some amazing authors. I really enjoyed this collection of romances, especially with the sci-fi touch. There is something for everyone here, M/F, M/M, Reverse Harem and many more. Here are a couple of the stories that stood out to me personally:
The Alien and The Crime Boss by Naomi Valkyrie I am so in love with mm romance and this story really interested me. The concept of Leilphun being a “warrior” and he kind of grows into this being to help defend and protect Kasper. I love the attachment Kasper forms for Leilphun and the drama that unfolds while Kasper tries to merge the two empires.
Chastity Unchained by Ashley Amy I did not want this to end! I need more of Harker, Zaron and Chan! First the fact they Harker is a plus size beauty drew me in immediately, and then 2 hot aliens want her, cherry on top. They seem to only need Chastity to procreate for their own species, together, but I sense by the end both of them want more from her. I absolutely loved how strong Harker is and how she talks back to both men with no fear.
Taken by the Asian by Elizabeth Dunlap I loved this story so much! Raza and Lux are so perfect together. This M/M relationship was steamy, nerve wracking, heartbreaking at one point, and everything I could want. It was nice to see Lux finding someone that could satisfy him and that he felt a connection with after not finding what the was looking for, for so long. Raza, he’s got secrets, and when Lux finds out what they are it sparks a beautiful fire in their relationship.

I’m am so happy Tam Derudder Jackson decided to give Garrett his happy ending. This is the fifth book in this series but can be read as a standalone.
In this book you get to see a side of Garrett you haven’t seen in the previous books. Now… if you have read the previous book, the urge to give him a good whack still happens, ha, but you really start to understand him in a different way.
Olivia is trying to get her production company off the ground after an amazing Grammy show. When Balefire wanted to do a music video with her, she is forced to see Garrett for the first time in a decade. This second chance romance is hot, steamy and full of drama!

This book is a refreshing take on the fae and how they interact with the mundane of the world. Such an original story. I love the characters and interactions as well as the plot line. I will definitely be reading more Sinister Styx!
Aliens On Earth is a fantastic collection of short sci-fi romance stories from some incredibly talented authors. This book contains 36 captivating stories- so there are many hours of engrossing reading to be had and there’s definitely something here to suit all sci-fi romance lovers. There are a huge variety of stories here with a plethora of interesting human and alien characters who are all so diverse and wonderfully crafted into unique individuals who you will find so easy to connect with. So, get comfortable and settle in for some wonderful reading set to captivate you through every page. I really enjoyed a few hours exploring this wonderful anthology, and I am sure that you will love this collection just as much as I have! I won’t review every book, even though I enjoyed them all, as that would take forever for you to read- so I will choose just a few of the ones that stood out for me to give you a bit of an idea of what you might find between these covers.

–The Alien and the Crime Boss By: Naomi Valkyrie This is a well-woven sci-fi mafia MM romance with aliens, action, adventure, danger, high stakes, suspense, agendas, fated mates, and much more. Leilphun escapes his home world and arrives on earth and into a situation he never anticipated. Kasper Kingston has a plan and can’t afford any distractions or mistakes- but fate has its own agenda. I loved this story so much. Loved the characters, the world-building, and other clever touches, and although this is a short story, it has the impact of a much longer novel. Definitely one of my favourites of this collection. Can always count on Ms. Valkyrie for an original and captivating read.
–Dark Thief By: Melissa Riddell
–Mated to the Serpent Prince By: J.C. Brown & Lena Lane
–Exiled By: Aurora Hunter -Her Alien Rock Star (Her Alien Hero Series Book #1) By: Elle Ryan This is the shortest story in the collection, but never-the-less left quite an impression on me. AJ is out with friends when a surprising blast form the past brining unresolved emotions bubbling to the surface. Ceol is the sexy intergalactic superstar that left AJ to go on tour with his band and never came back. She was always on his mind, and he always hoped that they would reconnect. Now they have a second chance- can he convince her that they belong together? A sweet, hot and steamy second chance alien romance. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for the rest of this story/series. *Special mention to the ‘special appendage/s’
–Taken By the Asani By: Elizabeth Dunlap This is a cute, sweet, sexy, and very steamy MM sci-fi romance with an arranged marriage aspect that gave this story an extra element of interest with lots more to keep you engrossed the whole way through. Lux and Raza were so perfect for each other. I was rooting for them right from the get-go. This is also a first for me- with the MPreg element, as I had never read one before and wasn’t sure I would ‘like’ that element in a story, but after this story I might just be a convert now. Another stand-out in this collection.
–Xalan Claimed By: A.J. Mullican I really enjoyed this sexy story. It is a sci-fi romance with plenty of humour, banter, steam, and a touch of destiny. Amber’s been burned by love- so after she caught her husband cheating, she filed for divorce and moved into a cabin on a lake and proceeded to make a comfortable, although lonely, life for herself. What happens when a sexy alien literally crashes his ship into the lake right off her pier? Well get set for things to take a sizzling turn. The language barrier definitely added humour to the whole encounter. And his special appendages certainly grabbed Amber’s (and my) attention. The story is set to continue in the full novel set to release in Fall, as this was an enticing teaser. I will definitely be grabbing a copy when it releases to continue Amber and Q’on’s story.

–Chastity Unchained By: Ashley Amy This turned out to be quite an intriguing sci-fi story- with so much potential for a bigger impact- so I really hope this is just a taste of a longer story/series that will be releasing in the future, because I was completely invested in the story and the characters, but felt it ended a little abruptly. Harker is an exotic dancer who arrives at a club to catch up with her best friends after enduring a day from hell as first she catches her boyfriend cheating, and then one of her clients drops dead. But her night is about to take a turn for the worse when she and her friends are abducted by aliens who need some humans to breed with. What happens makes for a sexy read. Looking forward to more, hopefully.

Join Aarek and Vivian as they try to save the day. This was such a great story- full of action, danger, drama, tension, chemistry, and spice. I will definitely be exploring more of the Alien Bride Lottery series- I can feel a book-binge coming on.

–Alien Prince By: Daniel Jacks I always enjoy Ms. Jack’s stories, and this one was no exception. Naomi and Zenith drew me into their story and held me captive right through to the end. Woven with drama, danger, chemistry, and the fate of the world at stake, these two took me on quite the adventure. Looking forward to more from Ms. Jacks.
I jumped into this book not really knowing what to expect except that they were all sci-fi/alien romances. But I soon discovered that all the stories are really quite wonderful and engrossing, with fantastic plots, varied characters who are complex and fully developed- and each story was really well crafted. Not only did I get to read work from some favourite authors- I also got to explore the work of many new to me authors and found a slew of new books to add to my TBR, so colour me one happy little bookworm. There are some intriguing storylines, interesting characters, very suspenseful moment and surprising developments; some funny, light-hearted and touching moments; as well as some hot, steamy, and spicy times. Not to mention more than a few ‘interesting’ appendages to add extra ‘zing’ to the collection. I highly recommend this anthology. You won’t regret buying this collection, it is worth every cent of the purchase price- 36 books for the price of one! Now that’s a real bargain! Happy Reading…

Fortune favors no one! At least in this book. It was interesting to say the least. A lot of moving parts that come together nicely. Truly Unfortunate I would recommend to anyone that likes anything to do with psychological thrillers. It makes you think, it gives you that kind of what’s really going on aspect. I’ve read this author before and I feel like I’m hit or miss if I enjoy the book or not. This was one of those hit moments. Which is why I keep picking books up. Truly finds herself in a pickle. Her memories are suppressed due to traumatic events from her past. Unfortunately those types of events start to follow her again. When an old childhood friend, it seemed, came up I thought he would be on her side. Knowing her troubled childhood. Never did I expect him to be out to bring her down. To pin the unexpected on her. Even convinces her doctors to turn against her. All in the name of money. What will she do? Does she truly not know what’s going on? Does the old friend prove his case? Those questions and many more are what keep the reader ingrained within the pages. I will always recommend this author if I enjoy the book or not. This time I’ll definitely recommend the book as well. The book is not overly long and you’ll want to finish it once you start. So what are you waiting for? While you start this one, I’ll look forward to the next book in the series.

This was a great 5 star read. It took me a bit to get pulled in but once I was I didn’t want to put it down. I really liked Natalie and Grayson, they were great characters and I enjoyed their story, even though they started out not so great. They were both very strong and had some things they were dealing with. As you read their story you get drama, action, steamy moments and so much more. We do also get some twists and turns that put Natalie in danger. Will Grayson be able to keep her safe? Overall this was a great story. The author did a great job with her writing. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

This is the first book that i have read by this author and I enjoyed it more than I expected too. The summary of the story sounded interesting and nothing like what I have read about before so i was quick to get it downloaded and read it on my free evening. There was a lot that happened in this story but it didn’t feel rushed. It had elements of romance with a little bit of the supernatural thrown in and that made the story even more interesting. I enjoyed the main characters and the author’s writing style.. so I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!

Another great book written by Lois Wickstrom. This book was about a grandma who bought her granddaughter a orange tree. The granddaughter got to learn how to care for the tree. She also had to learn about insects and how they eat. This was such a cute book. The illustration was good in it also.
The Serpent and the Firefly is my first book by this author. We meet Jade, who does not know or understand the power she possesses. Baal, the first king of Hell and a serpent shapeshifter, is there to stop Jade before the prophecy is fulfilled. The characters are interesting and help guide the story through the paranormal world. I like Jade and her interesting backstory. When Baal enters the picture, it adds another dimension to her story. I enjoyed the tension between the two characters and how after meeting Jade, it challenges Baal’s plans. If you enjoy paranormal fantasy stories with a lot of action, I recommend this book. After reading it, I will be searching out more to read by this author.

5 Star’s I’ll Love You Tomorrow (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 3) by Julie Navickas
I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the third book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy. I absolutely loved this book and had a hard time putting it down until I finished. I read the previous two books and definitely recommend reading them as some of the characters we meet in previous books. This one is by far my favorite yet. Her characters are well developed and very relatable and real. You could feel the heartache through her words my emotions were all over the place. This is Lauren and Mitch’s story. These two have known each other since she was six years old and have been married for the last six years. She has a restaurant named Pier Ninety-Two that she has put her everything into. And Mitch is pulling away becoming distant. Neither one wants the divorce but he doesn’t seem to want to fix it either. When her restaurant burns down she’s heartbroken over it. Can these fix their marriage before its to late? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

I felt connected with Miranda Diggs ( main character) when it comes to feeling guilty about certain things in life. There is something about the cabin that just reminds me of camping but yet being comfortable. So many things happen throughout the story, except Miranda. She remains stuck in her own head for most of the story. I know that I get that way sometimes and the only way to get out that mindset is to make a change. You know, get out of your comfort zone. Miranda is forced to do that in this book. I think that a lot of people should be forced out of the comfort zone, myself included. I think that everyone should read this book, I feel that it pulls you in to really understand the characters and what they are going through.
