From the beginning, this story grips you in the claws of heart pounding adventure. Our main character, Anastasia, narrowly escapes a Blessed One (predators who are entitled to their prey, grown accustomed to an easy hunt). As she navigates through her Warren, she discovers her passion and will to live are not accepted among her peers. When she is cast aside by her own mother, left to fend for herself, all hope seems to be lost. However, our adventure doesn’t end there. Anastasia, still filling her hunger to live, creates her own Warren with many like her who have been cast aside by those they love. I never expected myself to be so drawn in by a group of rabbits, but I found myself rooting for these bunnies more than I rooted for the human characters of many of my favorite stories. Definitely recommend, quite an interesting read!

So when I first started this book I found myself googling the birds so I could the full experience and at a stage I thought cripes there’s not going to be a real story and let me tell you I was soooooo off base 🤣🥰🙈 this really has been one of my favourite reads for the year 🤩
There were so many highlights for me and memories I’ll walk away with will be treasured and the laughs I had and the new sayings I learnt were memorable.
At the end of the day we all want someone that sees us for who we are and make us feel we matter and that’s exactly what Tash and Caleb want and find in each other and both are on a self healing self discovery journey but they just do it better together and Barnaby just owns my heart 🐾❣️
I love their honesty , they’re just so real and relatable and you can’t help but love them . I must be honest I was a little jealous of their owl walk 🥹and all the delicious brews they get to enjoy at Beakers 😉

This would normally not be a book I would just pick up and read but I am so glad I did! Can you imagine waking up after being in cryogenic stasis for a thousand years? Shannon discovers this new world and expected to provide information, except she can’t remember things and she is full of questions. The characters are absolutely fantastic and the story telling is great. There is enough of everything to keep you turning the pages and interested. Highly Recommend!
This is book one of the Kismet trilogy, and I’m grateful there will be more! In this fantasy romance, Petra is determined to figure out why her brother was killed, and it is quite the story to follow. When she becomes involved with a third shivalry captain, Rand, nothing is as it seems, and she is out to discover the truth. The mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat and flipping the pages. This is the first book I have read by this author, and it definitely won’t be the last! I highly recommend this book and will anxiously await getting my hands on the rest!

This is the third book in the Things Unseen Series and after loving book 1 and 2 I knew there was no way I wouldn’t pick this one up. Anise Eden can write and she knows how to do romantic suspense/psychological suspense. I loved Dead Late. I recommend reading the series in order though to get the most enjoyment out of it. It’s not a requirement, but I really like seeing how Con and Neve’s relationship progressed throughout the books even when they were ‘under the gun’ so to speak. Not only did I love the main characters, but the secondary characters were amazing as well, not to mention the way she paints the picture in your mind of the scenery, with so much suspense, and tension, it all comes together to make for a thrilling read.

This was a nice book. I enjoyed the plot but sometimes had a hard time staying engaged. I think it is because I had a hard time connecting with the characters. Barrett and Lou worked well together. I thought their build up was fine. I appreciated that this was able to read as a standalone. Books in a series like this get very confusing when the connections in previous books need to be known to understand plotlines.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. It was set in a post apocalyptic future where the earth was destroyed and the main character Shannon is awoken from a cryo sleep by an interesting alien male seeking answers she doesn’t have. There are twists and turns, drama, mystery and romance. I thought this book was interesting from the start and I will definitely pick up more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!

This one had a few twists and turns, running away from the past and fake dating. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and a steamy ride for sure. I absolutely love this book series. Who knew that menopause and hockey could go together so well? This is the third book in the Hot Flash Hookups series, and it continues to include all of our favorite past characters that we have grown to know and love. We get to watch the grumpy hockey goalie, Niko, as he battles for custody with his ex-wife for joint custody of his daughter and his strong attraction to the coach’s daughter Chloe. Is there room in his life for both a little romance with a gorgeous woman beginning menopause, who happens also to be an amazing hockey player, and to win the battle with his ex-wife who seems to enjoy playing games more than she cares about what’s best for their daughter’s well-being? You will not want to miss this next book of Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart, who are a dynamic duo when it comes to writing amazing romance books with a lot of humor in them. Every single one of the books in this series has had me rolling with laughter as well as tearing up when the characters battle their self-worth while navigating their attraction to these cute hockey players who seem to ignore what’s right in front of them. Neither of them seems to be looking for a long term commitment however fate has something else in store for these two. This books was fun and the characters were loveable. I will most definitely be reading the other stories in this series.

The Fixer is the second book in the Fall River series and is a Enemies to Lover’s Contemporary Romance that is packed with drama, family,finding love unexpectedly, angst and so much more. I’ve read several books by this author and this is my favorite yet. This is Joy and Charlie’s story. She’s a fast paced city girl who upgraded from being a small town gal. Life is great until she finds herself back in the small town when she inherits her mom’s old building. She was to demolish it but Charlie has other ideas. He’s spent years restoring old Historical buildings. These two don’t see eye to eye and butt heads over every detail. Does Fate have a different idea? Can these two put aside their differences and get what they deserve? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This was my first book I had picked up by this author, and it was such a sweet and heartwarming read! My kiddos are a little older than the target audience, but we still enjoyed reading it together. This delightfully heartfelt exploration of sibling bonds is crafted with care for families welcoming a new addition. It’s a cute picture book that perfectly captures the mix of excitement and adjustment that comes with becoming a big brother! The narrative is simple yet effective, allowing younger readers to relate to the feeling of pride and joy that accompany their new responsibilities. The big brother’s gentle guidance paints a lovely picture of nurturing and companionship. The gorgeous illustrations beautifully capture the warmth and affection shared between the brothers. Unexpected Revival by E. L. Roux is the first book in the Revived series. An enthralling post apocalyptiv Sci-fi read that will absolutely snatch your attention and quickly become addicting! I could not get enough of this book, and with it being out of my usual genre, I fell in love with it immediately. The plot of the book itself really hooks you and keeps you asking questions all the way through to the end. I very much look forward to seeing where this author takes this series!
I enjoyed this book. I don’t normally read science fiction novels but this one caught my eye and sounded interesting so I decided to try it out and I was not disappointed. I really liked the twist in the story and found myself unable to put it down until I finished reading it. I do like stories that are about what the earth will be like in the possible future and I found this story intriguing. The story flows really well and and the author created a vibrant world for me to explore. I look forward to reading more from this author
Older heros I’m sold. I’m still in my early 30s. I thought I could relate to this book and did. You get the background of the character which makes me love the character even more. I highly recommend this book. What an interesting read. Pretty unique with a different age difference hero aspect.
This book gutted me in the first several chapters! It was so heartbreaking that I wondered if I could power through the rest with the emotions that were running through me. I am SO GLAD I stuck with it, it was absolutely worth every emotion. You will be cheering for the 2 main characters for different reasons, and cheering them on as they grow.
Tommy had love, and he had dreams of being a rock star. When he wasn’t sure he could handle both, he dumped Angie right before his band hit the big time. While Angie was devastated and left behind, Tommy was living his dreams. Then, they both had big life events. When Angie had been left behind, she moved on and found love and marriage. Tragically, her love was stolen from her and she was left to raise her child alone.
Tommy was living his best life and ended up in a shotgun wedding scenario. While Angie had found love and contentment, Tommy was roped into a loveless marriage with a miserable woman who ended up leaving Tommy and their son alone. Tommy returned to Braebeach after the band was broken up, and the story really settles in from there. It is definitely a slow burn to reach a happy ending, but worth it.
While there is lots of drama and stress in this book, there is so much growth, chemistry, yearning and fantastic characters to love. I’m really excited to see where the next book takes us.

Betrayal (Choosing Family), is a story about Anna Turner and Hunter Thompson, two people wary about love, but not able to resist each other. Anna is a marketing manager who is passionate about the well-being of her employees. She is trying to build a child-care service to keep her employees from having to find other work. Hunter is a property developer and architect who is intrigued by Anna at a party they were both out at. The start of their relationship is rocky due to bad business dealings, but Hunter is intrigued with Anna and wants to help her passion come to light. As the two work out this business deal, sparks start to fly. The problem is that each of them has a past and secrets that are kept. Anna is all about intimacy but doesn’t trust often because of her father who was a serial cheater. Hunter slowly learns to open up to a point but believes that keeping secrets is a better choice due to a father who has betrayed him his entire life and doesn’t want him to have knowledge of his new passions. Will these secrets put a rift in the relationship, will Hunter ever be able to open up, and will Anna ever really be able to trust a man? I thought this was a really good contemporary romance. I truly enjoyed the characters, flaws, and all. Both characters were so great together, they had great banter, and the story moved along quickly. There were protective aspects and growth aspects from both characters. The story had surprising elements at times that added to the dynamics of the story and the characters. While this is the third book in the series, I have not read any others. I thought this author’s story was worth going back and reading the others.

The Fixer is book 2 in the series and was a good read. I loved the characters. I loved how there was a real life story there and not just heat and steam ( that’s not so bad either but sometimes I good story is needed ) Joy had to leave Chicago and fly to Colorado after her mom passed to settle the estate. She planned to sell it or knock it down and be done with that small, dusty town. After meeting with Charlie, a local contractor, he advised her she can’t sell it or knock it down because it’s a historical building and needs to be brought up to code before she can sell it. Joys life changes for the better while she stays at Crystal Harmony Haven. Her skin looks healthier, she doesn’t need her meds, she’s gaining healthy weight and most importantly, she making friends….real friends that care for her. Charlie and Joy don’t exactly get along until, they realize maybe they dislike eachother so much because they are attracted to eachother. Everything goes well for them. Joy extends her trip until Charlie finds some disturbing letters hidden in the walls and she runs back to Chicago. While she’s in Chicago, things start happening at the work site known as her mom’s store. There’s a lot of suspense in this book and a sweet, clean, happy story of two people who think they finally found the missing link in their lives. Cannot wait to see what happens in book 3 with Reece and possible Neve?

I absolutely love reading stories in which certain concepts and themes are brought into new stories with their own twists. This novel was definitely one of them and I enjoyed it from the beginning. Shannon has been frozen for over a thousand years and she has been revived. With such a large gap of years missing, she is full of questions of what has happened to Earth. Certain things are withheld and she’s monitored as she rehabilitates to her new surroundings. Soon after her earthly departure, Earth gets attacked and then years after they start communicating and engaging with aliens who trade with one another. She also becomes acquainted with a male alien, D’lane and her curiosity gets the best of her of learning about him and starts developing feelings for him. Seeing where their relationship grows and coming to terms with many unknowns sums up this story in a nutshell!
Detective Dylan and the Thief of Camp Leaf (A Youth Sleuths Chapter Book Series) by MJ Murray. I love this cute series and even though this is the 3rd book in the series it can be read as a standalone. My 6 year old nephew loves these stories. Its the continuing story of Dylan, his little sister Emily and his dog. Dylan has a detective kit and he never leaves home without it. When they go camping and the Camp Leaf Trophy goes missing, Dylan,his dog Theodore, other friends and his sister are on the case. This book is perfect of the young child learning to read and it has amazing resources for teachers that can be printed out as well. This would make a great family time book to read and would be the perfect gift for older elementary kids that are learning to read chapter books. We loved it.
