Wow this story was well written! It was very intense and I enjoyed reading it. I wished I would have read the first 2 books first. I read the book in 4 days. If you love a good intense book, I highly recommend this book!!

This is a lovely book with a brilliant way of showing how to deal with moral dilemmas in the fairest way and explains what fairness means to different people in an engaging way which is educational as well as entertaining in the best possible way.
Gwendolyn is a young girl of twelve years old who lives with her parents and spends time with her best friend, but unbeknownst to the outside world, Gwendolyn is a dream shifter and this means that every night when she goes to sleep, she changes into whatever animal form she is dreaming in. Normally this doesn’t cause a problem, as long as she wakes up slowly and naturally, she will become a human again, however, if she is woken up suddenly, she can become stuck as that animal.
One night, Gwendolyn is dreaming of being an elk and is woken suddenly by a fire alarm blaring into the night, but as an elk, she can’t escape until her parents come and open her door, but there is a problem, it is elk hunting season and she is an elk, albeit an elk who can think and speak like a human girl! As a couple of days pass by, Gwendolyn tries to return to her human self, mainly because she has plans of going to journalism camp, but they will only accept humans, this makes her desperate to turn back, but the book she needs isn’t at home, but her parents have managed to find out who has it, a magician who lives nearby.
When Gwendolyn and her parent approach the magician for help, he agrees, as long as she stays with him and earns her keep doing magic shows, but with all the distractions around her, will Gwendolyn be able to find a way to turn back into a human, or will she be stuck as an elk forever? This is a charming story which is full of magic and mayhem, as life lessons are learned and expectations are created, all while avoiding external dangers which keep you reading until you find out what happens to Gwendolyn in the end.
Lucas is a black cat who lives with his family in a cosy home with his sister, but his family suspect that Lucas is no ordinary cat, they think that he is a spy cat! He leaves at dusk with a goodbye meow and doesn’t come back home until morning breaks and he can snuggle down in his bed, so one night, the family decide to put a camera on his collar and find out just what he gets up to.
When Lucas come home the next day, his family are expecting him and his woodland friends to go on some wild adventures, solving neighbourhood mysteries, but what exactly will they find on Lucas’s spy cam? This is a wonderful children’s story which will spark the imagination of anyone who reads it, with an engaging story and fabulous illustrations, as well as fun surprises for the whole family inside, it is a great read which I one I would go back to again.

This book was written well. I loved reading a new take on the paranormal. The story of Dia had so much action and emotion, making it a great story. Journeying with Dia as she traveled to find answers and survive was one roller coaster of a ride. There were many twists and turns but it was really nice to see her triumph over the adversity she experienced. The author wrote a great story and I look forward to seeing more from her.
This was a really good book. Jasper’s story was so full of adventure and depth. I loved going through her journey as she discovered who she is and how she is meant to shape her world. The story kept my attention and had a bit of a twist at the end. I look forward to continuing this story in the future and will read more from this author.

This was an intriguing and engaging read, with a gothic fairytale feeling to the writing, which had me hooked from start to finish. Based on the story of La Llorona, and set in Sueño, New Mexico the storyline flows well and kept me gripped. The women of Sueño, don’t know how to live a life without sorrows, and that’s because La Llorona roams the waterways. She’s looking for the next generation of girls to baptise, by filling them with more tears than any woman should have to hold. The only way to avoid the Weeping Woman is to not walk along the riverbank at night and try to keep their sadness in check, as it’s the the pain and heartache passed down through the generations that attracts her.
Mercy lost her best friend to La Llorona, but she survived, however, she didn’t come back quite right and knows that La Llorona won’t be satisfied until she gets the one soul that got away to the bottom of the river. As Mercy enters into a battle for her life, she goes on a journey into magic, healing and rebirth, as she fights to break the chains of generational trauma. Mercy needs to reclaim her soul from ancestral hauntings and so turns to things that she knows can save her, plant medicine, pulp books, and the promise of a strong love, that not even La Llorona can stop from happening. Although a fairly short read it’s an emotional story, and I really felt for Mercy. Both her character and the New Mexico setting came to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story.

Teddy, on probation, is heading home to ride out his terms of release. Teddy lost a lot of time, but always dreamed of reconnecting with Robyn, the one his heart belongs to. As soon as Teddy and Robyn reacquaint, we know this is who they are meant to be with. Trouble unfortunately follows these two and we are taken on a journey for redemption for both Teddy and Robyn.
Teddy is such a strong character for all he has been through. The injustice in his sentencing and him being the example set forth by an incredibly flawed judge was written nicely and got me angry a couple of times. The strong pull of the family and the support they offer kept me on the happy side of reading though, so I did go through a few emotions with the story. I liked all the supporting characters and can’t wait to read their futures as this series continues. This book is well written and focuses on Teddy’s character growth and struggles he encounters along his path to full freedom and finding redemption from the love Robyn provides.

This is a great short, powerful Novella. Really hits you with the feels right from the start. The characters are great but I feel there could have been a little more character development that would definitely make this a 5 star read.
The storyline is great and there is really a lot of potential to make this a great Novella series that might be latter put into a box set. Just an idea
This was a unique story which centers around Gwendolyn a 12-year-old girl who can become an animal in her dreams. When she wakes up naturally, she is a girl again. However, one evening when she is dreaming of being an elk frolicking around with other elk a fire alarm jars her awake. Gwendolyn, stays an elk-and it is elk hunting season! Gwendolyn has to learn to adapt to this new change will still having her own voice and mind. There were a few things she needed to accomplish as a girl, can she still finish these tasks as an elk? This book is a great read for all ages, but geared toward middle school readers. There’s plenty of action and adventure, along with a lesson to be learned. Will Gwendolyn remain an elk? You will have to read to find out!
Ember’s Secret (Solstice Quartet #1) by Catherine Peace
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Ember’s Secret is a great read and an easy one at that. The next book is something I’m looking forward to.
Ember has always had a dream, but doesn’t think she can make it happen. When she meets Austin it’s close to Solstice. With his help will she be able to make her dream come true? The quote I chose for Ember is: “These dishes turned into a blend of traditional and … something. I wouldn’t call it fusion, but it’s different. Maybe more Americanized than I’d like. I tried a new appetizer and new entree. Wanted to get your opinion.”
Austin is a foodie by heart and wants to own his own restaurant. Breaking down in the middle of nowhere may be a blessing in disguise. Order of Vespers (The Vespers Chronicles #1) by Matilda Reyes
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Order of Vespers is the first book in The Vespers Chronicles Series. I’ve read the third book in the series so they can be read as standalones. This book was very entertaining and I didn’t want it to end.
Jasper has a power where she can explode like a bomb. Her family has powers as well. Her twin can manipulate the wind. Her sister could mess with memories. When they are killed she runs. Then she’s found by the Order. The quote I chose for Jasper is: “Dying is not on my agenda, so cross your fingers and hope I’m wrong. But… I wish you a long and happy life. You deserve it. Thank you for everything.”
Jordy is the human side of Jordan, but they’re one in the same. He doesn’t expect to find himself falling for the new girl. Things go south when she loses control and he doesn’t speak to her for a while. When he finds that someone he thought he could trust is going to hurt Jasper he jumps into action. The quote I chose for Jordy is: “I hate this. Please. I’m begging you, stop talking. You don’t get to waltz into my life, drive me bat s*** crazy, assault me, and make me care about you. Don’t lose hope, honey. Not just yet.”
Highly recommended for Supernatural Fantasy lovers.

Book three in The Lord Hani Mysteries Series is set in ancient Egypt during the Great Jubilee of the Aten. Hani is an Egyptian Diplomat who sets out to uncover the mysterious tomb robberies that are taking place and the sudden deaths of witnesses. Faced with a seemingly corrupt police chief and his henchman does not deter Hani as he seeks to solve the mystery. He soon is faced with also trying to deal with a deadly plague that is descending on the kingdom and puts his life and that of his family at risk.
The author does an incredible job of transporting the reader back in time to ancient Egypt by drawing on her real-life archaeological background. She includes maps, a list of “gods” and a character list in the book as extra little touches to aid the reader in understanding the characters and the history of that time. This book can be read as a standalone or as a part of the series. A must read for anyone interested in historical mysteries.

This book is book four of the series but can be read as a standalone. I read it before reading any of the others and didn’t feel like I was lost at all. This book does have some darker elements that may be triggering.
Renee experienced incredible trauma now that she’s free, and trying to readjust, it’s not as easy as she would like. No matter what though, Declan, her brother’s best friend, is by her side. At one time, she had hopes of a relationship with Declan but she’s sure that thought has vanished. She’s broken and doesn’t want to bring Declan down with her. Declan will do whatever it takes to protect Renee. He’s had feelings for her for so long and he knows she feels unloveable. He has desires but as long as he’s in Renee’s life, he’s happy and will squash all desires if that means he can stay. What happens when Renee’s past comes knocking?
I enjoyed this book. What an emotional roller coaster. Renee and Declan really connected. Declan is the strong alpha protector and I loved reading about him taking care of Renee. Definitely recommend this book!

Mafia Princesses all living in a mansion together on a college campus, it’s easy to forget that you’re in deep with the mafia when you’re just trying to pass your final exams. This book takes you through the lives of the four girls who live together. The author, Amy, really shows the bond that these girls have together and how much they care for one another. They each are fighting their own battles but still stick together. After a night out near the end of the year, life will never be the same. Will the girls get to make their own paths instead of walking down the one their fathers choose for them or will they even make it out alive? This was a good story, and a quick read.

Small-town second chances romance. Ted went to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Now he is home and adjusting to his new normal. I absolutely adore this story and in many ways it mirrors my life currently. Teddy told Robyn not to wait on him and she hasn’t but she is drawn to him and he is drawn to her. This book has many characters and not all of them are on team Teddy. Wonderful story. I love this authors writing and cannot wait to see where we go in book 2

Dia’s Lure is the third book in this series. I would strongly recommend reading the books in order so you get a complete understanding of the characters and the story.
This is a paranormal fantasy romance. I loved the elements of danger in it and the different characters. The author does an amazing job of bringing these fantasy characters to life. I didn’t read the first 2 books but that didn’t stop my enjoyment of this book. I will however be going back to read the series from the beginning.
Dia is a very interesting character. All her life she has been on the run from hunters because of what she can become. She is a strong willed and resourceful character however she does have a sense of sadness and loneliness about her because she can’t let people in and the one person she did let in and loved betrayed her.
That person was Carver. Carver is a dingo shifter. He has made many questionable mistakes in his life that he regrets. The main was was hurting Dia and causing the destruction of her tribe. Now he’s free to make amends for the past and the pain he has caused but will Dia accept him and forgive him or has the damage been too much that there is no going back.
This story is definately a page turner which a slight element of fated mates has most shifter stories have but the journey for Dia and Carver to get there is definately a roller coaster of a ride you don’t want to miss
I went into this book blind only knowing that it was a true crime book but no further details. We picked it to read this month for my book club and this book was a tragic emotional roller coaster. While I know that things like this happen it was so unfathomable what these children endured and how little anybody helped them. It was intriguing how one woman could abuse so many people both children and adults and get away with it for so long and have so much tragedy happened. This woman is what I consider the epitome of a monster I was equally disgusted with her final spouse. This book tugged at all the heartstrings and I found myself crying through several portions of it. The book is extremely well written and the authors writing style showed with a true story teller he is. This was my first book by this author and I intend to pick up the rest of his books as soon as I can. While this book is filled with so much tragedy and pain and I am giving a warning to that effect it is definitely a book worth reading.

Gunner is the third book in the Hollins & Haring series by T.J. Beach. This is the first book that I have read by Mr. Beach, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into the story. But the intriguing name had caught my eye, and I really love a great thriller- so I clicked a copy and dove in to see what I would find. I wish I had realised going in that this is the third book in the series, because even though this could be read as a standalone, I feel it would have been an even better experience if I had read the other two books in the series first and had known everything that has happened up to this point. Don’t get me wrong, this was a great read, as is, even not knowing what happened previously… I just can’t help but wonder what happened in the first two books and whether that information would have elevated my reading experience of this instalment…… so I will definitely be going back to explore those books, before continuing on with this series. This is a cleverly woven thriller with dual threads unravelling at the same time- adding some extra depth, tension, and intrigue to this gripping read. Playing out at the start of the Covid pandemic, the story takes us from Western Australia to London- for and action-packed read that I imagine would also make a thrilling movie. These characters are really well-developed- they were expertly crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I felt for them and what they had/were going through- which made it easy to connect with them and invest in the story. I am glad that I stumbled on this book- otherwise I might have missed out on discovering a great author and a thrilling series, and now I can’t wait to sink my teeth into more instalments. I really enjoyed this short novel. This book flowed nicely and I enjoyed the back and forth between main characters. I loved the ending and it left me excited to read the rest of the series! Faultless Love is the first book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls Series by K.G Fletcher. As Ms. Fletcher is on my MUST-READ author list, I have read and LOVED all her books- so I was really excited to get my hands on this new release. As soon as it hit my Kindle, I plunged in- and didn’t come up for air till I’d read every last word. It’s a superb introduction to her fantastic new series. As expected from Ms. Fletcher, this book comes with an emotional wallop that made my heart ache and go pitter-pat all at the same time. It’s a wonderful, emotional second chances romance that, like all her other books, has plucked at my heartstrings. Selfless Teddy taking the fall for something he didn’t do. An instance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Faultless Love is a second chance romance, a second chance at life, and a redemption story for our main male character. The author wrote a wonderful story about a man’s struggles getting through the last 6 years of his life and his new found freedom. Not quite free he’s still on probation, but almost free. Teddy’s growth over his time from when the incident happened and now was written impressively. Being back with his family, making contact with the woman he loves, those are things that kept him going. Robyn knows he’s home and still feels guilty that he was put away because of her. But she still loves him, and rekindling that romance does take long. Robyn, unlike Teddy, didn’t really grow in the 6 years. It seems the author wrote Robyn in a way where she regressed due to guilt. She had a small bit of growth at the end but you have to read to get there. I enjoyed this book, a little slow at first for me, but once it picked up I was invested. Everytime I read something old but something new I’m intrigued. Something old meaning the genre, something new meaning the basis of the story itself. If you enjoy a redemption story, strap in and jump into this roller coaster of a story. The author wrote a wonderful book, and I look forward to checking out others.

The Final Bite is a cute story with an interesting plot. I liked that Quinnlan is not your stereotypical vampire. I also really enjoyed the way the story was told, as if Quinnlan was telling us the story and it was amusing when he talked directly to the reader. The plot was not complex, and things were resolved easily, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.

Finding Bryce (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 1)
I know the purpose of a quick read is to get engrossed in the book quickly, but I don’t think I have had a story grab me quite as fast as this one did. I am not one to read in the car but I couldn’t not read this book while we were out running errands.
With a quick introduction of the guys on the SEAL Team and then meeting Pippa we are on our way into the story. We learn a lot in a short time and I definitely want more of these guys.
Pippa has been through so much at such a young age, but has finally settled in a new location with no life outside of school and work she goes to a party that changes everything for her.
I was charmed early by the gladiator and his charm did not fade. If I could have met a guy like that in my younger years.
This I author is brand new to me and I really liked that this book is my introduction to her. I will be reading the others in this series, starting with the next two that have been released.

What a great romance! This story was definitely more than I anticipated. I couldn’t put it down and read it in a day! This story has such a sweet story about forgiveness and starting new. I really like how genuine the story is and the relationships Teddy has with everyone. Robyn is just what I wanted her to be! This story did not disappoint and I loved every minute of it! This author has a great writing style that just flows so well and I will definitely be reading more of their work!

Can I just start off by saying that this book and author are WOAH amazing! I devoured this book super quickly and could not put it down for nothing!! The chemistry between these two characters was SIZZLING! Overcoming lots of different challenges was one of the things that these people had to go through to see if their love will handle the things that they need to. I cannot wait to reread this book over and over again. I cannot wait to see what the next book the author has in store for us to read.

Years ago, Dia lured hunters away to keep her family safe and she’s been hiding ever since. She changed her name, her gender, her looks all to keep herself and her younger sister’s safe from their dark past.
Dia who goes by Dane, is going to help in an active warzone when a bomb goes off and shifts the bus they were in. Fight or flight kicked in and she ran until she collapsed. When she came to, she was in a camp of bat shifters who just wanted to be left alone in a world where shifters are hunted. The shifters, not knowing who or what Dia is, insist on her staying until they can trust her. The next day they get another intruder and it is Dia’s mate whom she blames for the slaughter of her tribe.
Years later and there are still feelings there. As she gets to know the bat colonies leader, Milos, she realizes that there could be something between them as well.
Kano spent years trying to find his lost love Dia while also trying to stay away to protect her. When he arrives on the scene of the bus, he picks up her scent, causing him to stumble into the camp. Instantly, Kano can tell that Dia wants nothing to do with him because of their past but he can’t help it. All the while Milos catches his eye as well.
After a lifetime of them all running, will they finally settle down and try to make something of these feelings?
As much as I enjoyed the first book of the series, this one is a lot better. There is alot more action, steam, romance. It even gets a little erotic here and there. I could not put it down.
This is book one in the series and it’s off to a great start. I’m immediately drawn to Teddy and his wrongful imprisonment. He’s off to a new start on his family’s farm and rekindles a steamy romance with his first love. This book is about second chances, love and redemption. Fletcher did a wonderful job in creating characters you love and some you hate. Besides the romance, the drama and plot had me turning the page to see what would happen! I look forward to book two and beyond!
