OMG!!!! I honestly loved this book so much, from the mysteriousness of “The Lodge” to the “staff”I am so glad that I chose it. Sydney and Kage remind me of Christian Grey and Anastasia with their physical descriptions of the romance between them. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2, with Sydney, Kage, L, and J. I am hoping that the other two find love as well. I seriously am fascinated with the outcome of this story. I feel like the endgame didn’t really happen that there is more to it.

I loved how the author tackled the issue of mental health and the inner demons that many of us struggle with daily as we doubt our own worth. It shows how even those that seemingly have everything going for them also struggle with the feelings of failure, rejection, and low self worth. I highly recommend!

This book was well written and built up the suspense of the first two books. I admired the bravery of the Trait Family as they stood together as a family in the face of danger. They risked their own lives to save all half bloods and Weres from genocide called on by the Vampire Coalition. It was a risk they were willing to take to give not only their children a better life, but to create freedom and better lives for all vampires, half bloods and Weres. A must read! I highly recommend!

Suddenly things take a shift when Benji asks his grandson Beckett to return home for a visit. When Beckett returns home Benji drops a bombshell on him about his declining health. Not only does Beckett take the news hard but so does Ellawyn because she has grown to love Benji like family. She immediately offers to help Beckett run the bookstore knowing that Starlight Books is everything to Benji.
Beckett and Ellawyn immediately feel drawn to each other but initially try to fight the attraction. However, the more time they spend together the deeper the attraction becomes and the more they realize they have in common. Ellawyn finds herself falling hard for Beckett and slowly starts to allow her guard down. Trust does not come easy for Ellawyn after her previous relationship, but she slowly starts to confide in Beckett and feels that he won’t hurt her. As their relationship grows and flourishes danger lurks in the background when Ellawyn starts getting stalked. Has her ex discovered where she fled to?
This was a beautifully written book and I really resonated with the character of Ellawyn. Having been in abusive relationships I know how broken you feel and hard it is to trust others afterwards. The character of Beckett was amazing, and I loved how gentle, kind and understanding he was with Ellawyn. Rather than force her to confide in him he allowed her the time and space she needed. Benji was lovable and you could not help but fall in love with his character. I loved this book and will read it again! I highly recommend!

This series just keeps getting better. This is the second novel in the series about a nurse who developed the ability to see ghosts after a medical emergency. I enjoyed this installment of the series. There was some drama and I loved watching Morgan and Caleb fall further in love. This is a good series and I look forward to reading the next book.

I loved the realness the author brings to this book. The high school drama and bullies, we’ve all been there and how she incorporates all that into the book and it comes full circle is real life. Holly was relatable as in she was trying to just fit in, and then she accidently discovers the secret of a popular kid. I was rooting for Holly and Evan to make Nathan feel comfortable and they went above and beyond what I could have imagined. It was hard to put this book down once it sucked me in a few chapters in. I just wasn’t a fan of Nathan and that crowd at first and then I fell in love with the person he was becoming with Holly and because of Holly. I look forwarded to reading more from this author!

Desperately trying to figure out what to do with himself. The leading female idolizes the main man. She was just starting out in the firehouse when he became injured. She feels like she can help him when she notices that he is struggling. The community that they belong to come to the aide. Together they try ti figure out a way for him to find a new path in life. This book is a short, quick read. It will have you second guessing what you would do if the plan that you are following changes for some unforeseen reason. It is a sweet romance with some steam. Overall, the book was a very good quick read.

What a wonderful historical murder mystery romance book! It was such a great quick read and hard to put down. Alyssa was my favorite character from the start and the author did not disappoint in her story.
To think that this group of girls left their home country to basically be mail order brides for these men in the Canadian frontier. The trials they endured. The author wrote it so you are basically following their journey and finding themselves. Everyone finding a purpose, even Alyssa at the end.
The author wrote it so that it’s not a male character who turned out to save everyone and I loved that! That she wrote all the female characters as strong people. This will not be the last book of hers that I read!

This was the first Titan book that I have read. It was a pretty quick read and I enjoyed it. Jonas is a jerk and you can’t change my mind. He grew on me towards the end but he’s not my favorite. Kenzie is strong to overcome everything that has happened in her life. She found a healthy outlet for it by cooking. I was really hoping for more interactions with the rest of the friend group just to see how well they all got along.

This was my first book by this author and I was very entertained. Romance Under Aquarius is all things mermaid, treasure hunting, and sweet Paranormal Romance. This is a multi-POV book with an engaging story, and due to this, we get 4 different stories in one! Maris is a mermaid princess looking for more. Kasper is searching for a treasure to save his brother. Pasha wants more than she is destined for. And Ryn learns that what he thought he wanted, wasn’t what he wanted at all.

While navigating her new abilities, friendships, and work, she starts to use these abilities to help others. Definitely a quick read with some enjoyable characters.

The Titans of Manhattan series does not disappoint with this 4th installment. This book is an easy read and a page turner. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. The main characters met in high school and a bet led to a series of events that unfolded both good and bad. 10 years later, they see each other again with a job on the line. Can they overcome what happened in high school that changed the trajectory of events for them? Can the hurt ever go away? When the female lead thought she had overcome everything that had transpired just to see the male lead and realize she wasn’t as over things as she thought. This book is really well written and the angst, family issues, torture, secrets and love will have you reading all the way through the night. You want to see what will happen and you become physically and emotionally involved in the progress of the characters. Don’t get me wrong there will be times that you are mad like spitting nails mad but it doesn’t last that long. Reviewed by @bbohls

This is the third book in this series and I feel like each one gets better and better. This book takes you on an adventure. What happens when you have a ballerina take to pole dancing? You get one of the biggest guys in New York to take notice. What happens from there……a bunch of things. There is steam in this book!! What happens when that beautiful dancing girl is the girl you happen to have a one night stand with? Guys, this book is amazing!! It is a very easy read. You will find that you are constantly turning pages just to see what happens next. I got embarrassed when the characters did. I got angry, sad, flustered. It was awesome. It also has some triggering sequences in it but I feel the author has been respectful of the situations and did their best to portray a difficult situation for anyone to go through. I highly recommend reading this book and the whole series.

This book is such a cute book for younger kids. I read it with my 7 year old who LOVES mermaids. This book is a great way to add a little science into your kids life without them even realizing that they are learning something! The book is about a pair of friends (Maia and Fig) who are out on a picnic together. While on the picnic they blow holes into ice cubes they brought for their lemonade, so they can make a necklace for Trizzie the mermaid. One of the girls notices that the ice cubes that were in their cup were melting faster than the ice cubes they blew the holes into. “That’s Science!” was the other’s response. How cute right?! The book also adds in more information on other forms of water at the end. My daughter really liked the book. I feel adding in small bits of information like this helps kids retain it for later when they learn more about it in school. I’d personally recommend this book for kids ages 3-8.
I have read the other books in this series and find them all adorable and a great way to teach kids about different things. In this case, the book is about overcoming fears and worries. This book starts with Jake out on his normal neighborhood trail when he meets up with his squirrel friend Neet. As they continue along the trail they find some tracks that they don’t know. Neet thinks that they’re from an alien from another planet! Jake comes up with a few ideas as he gets more and more scared. They move off the trail and catch the new scent as they started to hear a rustling sound coming near. They both dive to their bellies in fear. The scent and noise pass, but neither friend had the courage to move their paws from their eyes and look at what the strange creature was that passed by. Jake runs home and doesn’t sleep well thinking about it all night. When Neet meets up with Jake the next morning she looks like she lost sleep as well. They plan on going out with some other friends to find the creature on Jake’s trail. Along the way they find a new friend. The new friend ends up helping them with the mystery! Jake feels silly about being so scared, but learns that just because the tracks were different and new didn’t mean that the animal they belonged to would be mean and scary. Such a cute book. At the end of the book it has more information to help parents teacher their kids about fears and some tips on getting passed them. It also talks about helping others, donating, meeting new people, and appreciating differences in others as well. I would defiantly recommend this book to younger kids ages 5-10.

This book is a great teaching book for younger kids. Being adopted has many struggles that can come up. It teaches kids that many people imagine different lives when they are in trouble and/or upset and that it is normal. Especially when you’ve been adopted and don’t know much about your birth family. The book follows an adopted lizard named Oliver. Oliver is playing and climbs a little tree that he is pretending is a pirate ship. The tree is young and because of Oliver’s weight and the tree’s flexible branches he falls overboard onto the grass and hurts his hip. As he’s in his room upset and thinking about how to play more safely he thinks about his birth parents. He imagines many different things. He thinks about a different life that he could be living if he wasn’t in his room upset. It’s a cute book and the pictures are fun. My now 7 year old enjoyed the book very much when we read it together at bedtime. It was also a great book to read and then talk about adopted families and how other kids may feel.

What a wonderful little romance novel! The story flowed naturally and I loved how Maria Jane let Bree and Nate naturally find each other. The connection they had through tennis and then the friend support.
I LOVED how Bree just was tell it like it is and didn’t care to stand up for herself. Especially with Steven. I didn’t like him at all and was glad when she told him off.
I was shocked though when Bree informed her parents of her status with Nate and their reaction. I did not see that coming or see how much of an issue it would cause on both sides. But it was well written.

First thing first, I did not read the previous books in this series. That being said, this book can be read as a stand alone. You do not need to read the previous books in order to understand what is going on in this book. However, after reading this book you will want to go back and read the other two in the series. That is what I am currently doing. Now, let’s get into the meat and potatoes of this book. It is a really fast read!!! You will fall in love with the characters because of how the author us able to put feelings and actions to words written. I am a strong believer that, “If a book can make you feel what the characters are, it was written amazingly.” This book did not disappoint on that level. This book not only has all the steam you could ever possibly want but it also has mystery. You not only get to experience the quick whit of the female lead but you also get to see the strength of the male lead. Together they are an unstoppable team. You will keep turning the pages to see what is going to happen next or to even just feel the chemistry the two main characters have. It is definitely a book that will make you not quit reading until it is done. So, if you have a day where you can sit on the beach or next to the pool or even just on the couch and read, I highly recommend this book.

Dwarf is a man who is used to women using him to get to his taller and more handsome Brothers. He wants to find that perfect someone who will love him and accept him for who he is but because he has been used by women so many times in the past, he has low self esteem and feels destined to be alone. Then fate intervenes and Dwarf quite literally crashes into Raven on a dark, lonely stretch of road in the middle of nowhere. When Raven appears out of nowhere, Dwarf thinks it is an animal he is swerving to avoid. He is justifiably angry when he learns that it was Raven who caused him to crash and wreck his bike until he realizes how shaken Raven is. Something or someone has terrified her so bad that she has chosen to flee in the middle of the night which causes Dwarf to switch into protector mode and get to the bottom of what scared poor Raven out of her wits. This leads both Raven and Dwarf on a new adventure taking them into the world of the supernatural.
This story was unique, unexpected, eerie, and often leaves you with goosebumps as it delved into the supernatural. The characters of Dwarf and Raven were real and raw which made them relatable. The author did an amazing job of telling the story of characters who are struggling to work through their own imperfections and insecurities while also dealing with the very real and raw emotions that come with falling in love. This book had danger, suspense, intrigue, love and even humor. The banter between the MC Brothers lightened the mood as they tried to work through their thoughts and feelings when presented with the presence of something from another realm. This book was amazing, and I will be sure to read it again and again!

This is the first book I have read in this series. You could read it as a series or just a standalone. (I need to read this entire series because its so good.) This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. That is what I did. This book has tons of steam and is a very quick easy read. I got sucked into story right away with how the female lead (Kendall) behaves. She is upfront with all the feelings. The book gives a back story so you can see the growth. I love that Kendall isn’t a push over or a needy female that can tend to happen in some sport romance books. The leading male (Pete) is a perfect example of your typical boy next door. He is kind and follows the bro code of not dating your best friends sister. This book was fast paced and I wish there was a little bit more to the romance of them falling together. I loved that the characters were able to grow throughout the story. The journey that they take feels genuine just a little lacking in verbiage. It really is an amazing book and a very simple read. I feel like I am just being picky with wanting more romance between the two of them. The steam is there and it is a “fan yourself kind of heat.” I do recommend this book for a quick little beach read, I mean if you’re already red from the sun – no one is gonna notice the lush you get while reading some of the scenes in this book. When she gets jumped going to the store for her dad. All of a sudden this potential of a young fighter comes through. She never let go of the money her dad handed her that day. Dad takes her to this gym, where she meets her mentor, Carl. Along with Mason& Alasdair. They start as a team, and Grace makes them into her family. She gets offered a job as a UFC fighter, and she JUMPS at the opportunity. This book is so well written, you wont be able to put it down. You can really connect to Grace through all her trials in her life. I cannot wait for Johnny’s book.

This book was hands down unstoppable good! This is the first book of this series and I can not wait for more! The story of Ember develops from her being lost, alone, an orphan into finding her place in a community she wasn’t prepared to find her future in. Gavyn caught me off guard in how he quickly changed as he realized Ember was more than just a thief. How he spent time “spying” on her and checking in all the while he was developing some feelings for her. I love how the author captured this and showed his softer side further on in the book. Jade, Zoie and Ada are the girlfriends we all want around. The build up to the excitement within the story was slower than I like but the details she gives on the background of these communities and the main characters history. I myself can not wait for more from this series. I like that it isn’t your typical book about magic and different “creatures”. It showed a different side of magic and how it could be a good thing when the right opportunity presents itself.

The Cabin Girl was my first thriller/murder mystery themed book and my first book of Swyers. I felt that this book was a nice introduction to the genre. The story develops nicely, keeping you intrigued. The character development flows with the story and I enjoyed the relatable timelime/period.

I truly love books that build all of the characters not just one or the main one. This book kept me on my toes the whole time never knowing what I was going to get. Amazing character building and made me feel like I was there. And I like that it seems more hysterical than not. Great job to the author.
