Murder the Tey Way is Book Two in the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club Series. It is a cozy whodunit mystery full of action, adventure, mystery, intrigue, drama, suspense, tension, and secrets. The story centers around the FMC of Lexie Driscoll who is in the middle of a Golden Age of Mystery Book Club meeting when her sister, Gayle, suddenly arrives. Gayle is on edge, nervous, and appears to be running from something or someone. When a body is discovered in her backyard, and her sister has suddenly vanished, Lexie gets pulled into the middle of a murder mystery that she must solve. As she tries to unravel clues a rash of break-ins occur in the neighborhood and more deaths occur. Along the way Lexie discovers that everyone around her may not be as they seem and that everyone has secrets. A fascinating whodunit with an eclectic cast of characters and a multi-layered storyline full of twists and turns.

The Monkey Island Murder is Book 3 in the Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery series. It is a cozy historical mystery set in the early 1930’s and centers around a rambunctious, street smart, young 11-year-old girl named Sparky. She loves to solve mysteries and on her newest adventure she finds herself caught in the middle of a mystery that involves her “boss” Bookie. He has been implicated in a murder and Sparky must really put her detective skills to work to solve this case. The ensuing adventure is full of mayhem, mystery, intrigue, witty banter, and quirky characters. The author does a fantastic job of pulling the reader into the 1930’s through her vivid descriptions and attention to detail to that period.

I first read the story Unexpected Heroes when it was part of a collection of short stories entitled Saved by the Everyday Hero written by thirteen different authors. One of my favorite stories in that collection was by one of my favorite authors, Naomi Valkyrie. Her story entitled Unexpected Heroes is a M/M Romance that centers around the characters of Elijah and Jude. Elijah moves in next door to Jude with his infant son. When Jude sees Elijah struggling late one night to soothe his baby and get him to sleep, he offers to help. From there a friendship grows as Jude helps Elijah unpack, runs errands for him, and helps with the baby. Both men have troubled pasts that each has been struggling to overcome in their own ways. Through their friendship they learn to trust, to love again, and they work together to overcome challenges that come their way. The friendship between them grows and blossoms into more over time and the two find their soulmate in one another.

This book is so cute and hilarious. Katie works with her two best girlfriends. Natalie, and Paige. Natalie happens to be Drew’s sister. Katie and Drew meet at Paige and Beckett’s Halloween party. From then, Drew and Katie are drawn to each other. At first it’s just a hook up. But by the end they are made for each other. This book will have you laughing and smiling the whole way through.<br />

Cadence is stuck is what I would say is a lonely relationship. Her “boyfriend” is terrible. One night Cadence’s step sister Jade, asks her to go to a concert. Not really her thing but Cadence agrees to go. This is where she meets Damien. A rockstar, but with plenty of his own going on. Can’t wait for book 2, also love the playlist to listen to during the book!

This book is a quick read and the beginning of the Predator Series. I have read from this author before and have always loved what they have written. This book is no different. It is an amazing read about a sports romance. It has steam, drama, emotions that pull at you, angst, more steam, and romance. It will have you wanting to read the second book in the series as soon as you finish this one. It does leave you on a cliff hanger that will be picked up in the second book, another reason I am eager to start book 2. I had some severe reactions to this book, the yelling at the pages, the tears, all followed by the laughs. This book will make you feel everything and will have you finding the second book in the series as soon as you are done with this one.

Tally and the Angel: The Sands of Time is Book Four in the Tally and the Angel Series. This fun series is intended for middle school kids between the ages of 11 to 13 years of age. In their newest adventure Tally and her sidekick angel, Jophiel, are in the Greek Islands. Now that Tally is a bit older, she is starting to notice boys and one boy named Theo has caught her attention. Things are not as they seem on the surface and although Tally has always followed her angel’s advice and heeded his warnings this time those warnings may fall on deaf ears. The ensuing adventure is full of mystery, danger, drama, action, with Greek Mythology mixed in. A great read for all ages with engaging characters and a wonderfully written story.

This is an intriguing story. Elijah and Jude both have painful pasts that they are trying to deal with. The two men develop a tentative friendship and when Elijah is in need Jude is more than ready to help. As the two spend more time together emotions began to come into the picture. Jude is a good man and will do what he can to keep Elijah and his son safe. Their story moves at a good pace and has a nice mix of drama and emotions. It was nice to see the way their friendship developed and deepened into something more.

Rocky the raccoon is going to his first ever family reunion. He has never met any of them, so he is a bit nervous. His parents moved to the city before they had him and they never went back to the country to visit before. His mom and dad tell him that it will be okay and he will get to meet and make friends with new family members. It doesn’t help his nerves though. When they get there he meets so many people and names are thrown around so fast that there is no way he can remember. Joking his uncle tells him there is a test on names later. He watches as everyone starts games. He can’t swim so he doesn’t play the first game. He doesn’t like eggs so he doesn’t play the second game. For the fourth game everyone has partners but him. He’s not having the best of times. But when the final game comes about he is the perfect teammate. He was born in the city so it gives him a leg up on dumpster diving. He teaches the rest of the family what to do and he starts to have fun. He makes plans with Rascal (a cousin) to come back and learn the other games and maybe even have them come to the city. It’s such a cute story and book. Rocky leaves happy and excited for another visit. I’d recommend this book for younger kids (10 and under). Maybe a first library even.

Such a great book! I can’t wait to read more of the series. In this book Hazel, who is a fire witch is on a mission to find who killer her sister and why. Her search leads her to a small town called Shadow Hollow. She never knew that magicals could live so openly. She grew up with it ingrained into her to keep it a secret and to show/tell no one. So when she comes to this town and it’s completely normal for magicals to talk openly and everything she is thrown for a loop. As she starts her investigation it’s hard to tell who she can trust and not trust. The law seems to brush her sister missing under the rug. Her sister left a few clues, but with every answer she finds a million more questions come needing answers. Secrets and lies are around every corner. She enlists the help of a few locals but even some of them are hiding things! She gets a job and rents a place while she hunts down answers, but when she is threatened it enforces her need to know all the more. She won’t be run out of town. She has to find her sister. Following leads brings her to Corwin who is also trying to solve the mystery of her missing sister as well. But can he be trusted? His secret definitely puts them both in more danger! Will they find her sister or will they end up dead just like her? Boy oh boy will this book hook you in and keep you there until you finish it. I didn’t want to put it down. And I can’t wait to read the next book either!! This book is a paranormal mystery and it’s so good!! Trust me and just grab it!!

This is Book 3 of the series. I will tell you that this book kept my attention. I literally read it in a day and half. Sparky is at again, this time she was part of the murder but I don’t think she was suppose to be. The characters in this book are a little kooky. Tootsie is up for an audition and that means all the “important helpers are there”. However you need to read in between the lines to find some people and there reasoning for being there, at least in my opinion. I honestly can’t wait for the next book. Sparky is an amazing kid and isn’t so sure of herself. She tends to get into a lot of trouble with any and everything she does. She has two wonderful adults “looking” after her. She has a few friends, lets be real, her only friend is Bobby. But there is a new comer, Cornelius and he might just give Bobby a run for his money when it comes to Sparky.

I accidentally started with this book, book 3, but you know what? I don’t regret it. Will I run and grab the first two?? Absolutely!! But not regrets! I loved this book. I defiantly wasn’t ready for it, but man by the time you get through chapter two or three you will be hooked! You meet Derek who is in a tug-a-war with a half-brother mob boss. He will do anything to keep what’s his safe. Weather they like it or not. And most of them don’t like it!! Then you shift and meet Justine, who is a college student working on a doctoral about Club Shattered Embrace and more so research into submission. Walking around a BDSM club for years doesn’t prepare her for this life style. Watching form the sidelines just won’t cut it. She never imagined where she’d be pushed and by whom that’s for sure!! Jordan is a long time switch with Derek, but has been finding that she wants more. Not necessarily more from Derek (although that could be great!), but definitely something more. When Derek’s half brother makes a poor attempt at taking a life he’s jumps into action. Calling in everyone, putting everyone on alert, and putting security on all those he holds dear. Although many are annoyed they listen as Derek tried to take on the mob boss (his half brother). Boy oh boy is this book something else! It’s hot and steamy, yes. But the development of the characters and the twists and turns keep you on edge. I can’t wait to read the rest!! You will NOT regret this book buy and I personally have already hooked a fellow book lover into this series!

This book was a very quick read for me. I was able to finish it in a day. It is really well written and will have you turning pages as quickly as you can. The characters in this book are amazing and you will feel like you want to be their friends by the end of it. It is a slow burn romance with a bit of spiciness tied into it. The characters have some amazing moments with quick wit and banter. It deals with relationship issues that a lot of people commonly find themselves in and it gives hope to that situation at the end of the day. I highly recommend reading this book because it has everything you could possibly want in a romance reading. The spice level was just enough to make you blush but not enough to make you question where you should be reading this book (well at least for me). I look forward to reading more from this author.

Okay for starters, the map *chefs kiss* love that, I like the meaning for the different words/phrases. I’m not a historical type. But the retelling of Gilgamesh, the women in his life. Just absolutely amazing!! If you are into mythical legends or beings, this is one you definitely need to pick up. It gives a whole different perspective!

Rocky’s family is having a reunion. Rocky doesn’t know any of his family. He gets really reserved and doesn’t know any of the games. But when the last game comes up, Rocky has a brilliant idea. He’s able to come out of his shell and play with his cousins and his aunt and uncle. What a cute little story!!

It is a romantic suspense full of danger, drama, action, secrets, lies, loss, mystery, trauma, betrayal, and political conspiracies. It is told from different points of view, which enables the reader to better understand each character. The story centers around the character of Michaela, or Lea, as she is now known. She has experienced a life of trauma and tragedy that started at a young age and has forced her to keep her identity a secret. It has caused Michaela to live a life where she is constantly in hiding and trying to survive against an unknown enemy for as long as she can remember. Now someone close to her has revealed her identity and she must flee because her life is in danger. An intense, fast paced and action-packed read that will keep you reading until the final page. I look forward to the second book in the series.

Book two was just as great as book one!!! I loved both of these cute contemporary romance books. Such a wonderful series. Movies please!! I can see it now!!! Book two is about Rachel and Miguel’s relationship. Rachel is a real estate agent who just got dumped and is currently waiting on a date from a dating app. Miguel is a restaurant owner who has his own trouble finding love. When she’s stood up she decides to order and have dinner anyway. Ryan has to break her heart and let her know that the one thing she ordered they are out of. Promising her something just as wonderful and making it up to her is just the start to their flames. She agrees but only if he eats with her. And their story begins! And boy is it wonderful. Cute, funny, and of course steamy. But you know how these things go. The harder she tries with men the harder she falls. Will she this time? I can’t wait to read more from this author. She builds their story so well. You get to see other characters (that I am hoping she will also write about later) around them. Friends and family. You can really picture these stories.

I loved this cute contemporary romance! I can’t wait to read the next one, but for now this is book one to the series. It’s about Tess and Ryan. Tess is starting over. She was in a loveless marriage for years. She’s done a series of things she regrets. And she’s just ready for change. Starting with painting the inside of the paper she owns. Ryan has been hurt badly. He won’t tolerate dishonesty. And he has to make some changes. His partner takes a year leave so his work game plan must change. Now! He goes to the paper to put in an ad and meets Tess. They hit it off so well! The bantering between the two is funny and steamy and super cute. You can picture these two falling in love. Even with warnings to Ryan, they fall fast and quick. He takes her (city girl) on a couple camping trip and boy is that funny! Nothing goes as planned. But Tess has a past that’s creeping in and it goes against all Ryan’s values. She knows if he finds out it will be the end of their relationship. Such a great story!! I could see this turned into a movie! I’d watch it!! Off to read book two!!

This was an amazing read. This book was a very quick read because I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. The main characters are little apprehensive of letting people get close to them. The female lead is protecting herself from her past and the male lead is trying to protect everyone he loves. Their chemistry is amazing and you can feel it in the words that are on the pages. It gives the reader the feelings of the characters and you can’t help but get emotional while reading this book. It has everything that I love about erotic romance books. There is spice, steam, love, chemistry, mystery, danger, action, loyalty, amazing families, and all the mafia vibes. I do recommend reading the other books in this series before jumping into this one so you can understand a bit more about the background. That said, anyone who grabs this book and reads it will be able to keep up and follow along easily. I can’t wait to read the next in this series and see where everything ends up.

This book picks up events and characters that were introduced in the first book, so I highly recommend you read it first. This story continues with the adventure of Amy and Opal. Amy has realized that she and Opal have more in common than she realized. She wants to stop Opal from destroying everything in their realm and decides to fight her. Will she have what it takes to stop her and be able to do so at all costs? The author does a great job of pulling you into the story with vivid scene descriptions and imaginative storytelling. The cast of characters is eclectic, including characters that are LGBTQTIA inclusive. Looking forward to more by this author.

Irresistible Bond is Book 5 in the Central Florida series. Although it can be read as a standalone, I do recommend that you read previous books in the series because there are overlapping characters and because the series is an amazing series. It is a romantic suspense full of drama, action, suspense, intrigue, danger, love, and passion. The story centers around the characters of Storm, Marcus, and Barrington, who grew up together and were inseparable. Their families do not feel that Storm is good enough and that she is beneath them, so she leaves to pursue a career as a DEA Agent. When she becomes hurt on the job, Marcus and Barrington vow to help her heal both emotionally and physically. Even though the trio have been separated by both time and distance, their friendship not only picks up where it left off but quickly develops into more.
The author has a writing style that will pull you into the book and fully immerse you into the lives of the characters. The characters are engaging, strong, and have a loving relationship between them like no other. The chemistry between them is amazing and they have a bond that nobody can break. This is the first time I have read anything from this author. I really like the cover of the book, however I did have a hard time getting into the story itself. This is definitely a fantasy book with some romance. I honestly just really wasn’t into it at all. I think the only part that I liked really was when I first started reading it and it mentioned that Enkidu was to be raised by wolves and so I was getting into it but then I started reading about King Gilgamesh and how he wanted to be remembered. I feel like I need to restart the book and try to go to the end of the book. Hopefully, I can edit this review later with a completed reread of the book.

This is a retelling of The Epic of Gilgamesh by Nicole Bailey. I love almost everything the author has written but I have an indifferent feeling about this book. I neither liked nor disliked it.

The world-building is wonderful, and the characters are described amazing as well. I felt so much of this book was repetitive – this was probably my main issue with the book. I wanted to love the story, but I just couldn’t. The speed of the book changes a few times, which has some to do with my inability to love it. The book starts off pretty energetic with the War but dies down TREMENDOUSLY after the second, maybe third chapter. It does not speed back up until the last 10% of the book.

The book starts off following Gilgamesh, who is 2/3 God, and the King of Uruk. He is also insanely arrogant, selfish, blood-thirsty, and overly obessed with crafting a legacy that withstands time. The Gods create Enkidu, who is a wild man but also God blessed. Gilgamesh now finds himself in a TRUE competition with someone who is not so easily beat. Enkidu was my FAVORITE character and overall aspect of this book.

This book is a part of a duology, and it DOES end on a cliffhanger. I do look forward to reading book two in hopes it is better than this one.

This book was an interesting read. I chose this book based off of the cover alone. I have found that I enjoy doing this sometimes. That said, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I feel that the author took the time to really give the reader the understanding of the world the characters live in. I feel that it is a very quick read because of the flow of the story line. There aren’t any parts where it just lags. I kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. It has this whole fantasy side to the book along with a romance. It has a lot of action in this book as well. It was not what I was expecting. The vivid descriptions of the setting and the characters allowed for me to really picture everything. It also gave me a sense of being, meaning I felt like since I could picture it so well in my head; I was actually there seeing everything. I got lost in this book, just set away to a different time and place. I really am looking forward to reading more in this series.

The Silent Forest is Book Two in The House on the Hill Series. It is psychological thriller with action, mystery, intrigue, suspense, secrets, lies, tension, and danger. This book picks up where the first book left off so if you have not yet read the first book, I highly recommend that you do because it introduces the characters and gives their backstory. Set in a small town the story follows a cast of eclectic characters who are trying to settle into a new normal after a series of tragedies. Kaia is trying to find answers to the mysterious disappearances and unsolved cases in town by following a trail of cryptic clues. As she does so she unravels some dark secrets that lead her into danger. The Woods family has taken in a lost boy who seems innocent but may be harboring some deep, dark secrets. The story is edgy, dark, twisted, and full of tension that builds up to a climatic ending setting the stage for the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the series and if I am being honest, I read this book second. That being said, y’all can read these in an order and not feel lost. I met these characters in the other book that I read and was super excited to be able to read their story. This book has all the feels. The characters have bene hurt in the past and are trying to learn to let things go in order to move forward. The emotions that the author is able to construe will have you feeling everything that the characters do. I am a sucker for books that make me feel. I felt he anger, the sorrow, the loss, the love, the cheekiness of their banter, the giggles, and it made me like this book even more. This is a quick read because you will fall in love with the story. The characters in this book don’t necessarily have the easiest road to love but they road they do have feels so beneficial and healing. I loved both books that I have read in this series and look forward to reading the third. These are just feel good romance books that gives the reader an escape.
