This is the second book in the series and it can be read as a stand alone. I actually read this book before reading the first one in the series. The writing style of the author is amazing as then make the words and story line flow throughout the book. I found it to be a quick read because of this. The characters are amazing and have the cutest meet cute in this book that hooked me for the rest of the book. I liked the chemistry that the characters have and that the families accept the other. It is just a really cute quick read. The other characters in the book are the ones that you will meet throughout the series in other books. They don’t play a huge part in the books that aren’t theirs but they are there for support. It is a great way to draw the reader into the series and give them just a taste of what the other books hold. This book definitely makes the reader feel all the emotions that the characters are feeling. I can’t wait to read the rest in this trilogy. Reviewed by: @bbohls

This has been an amazing series to read so far. This is Marcus, Storm & Barrington’s story. It is intense. I found myself feeling all the emotions as I went through this story. This story is definitely spicy. It’s also got action and drama. There’s a lot going on. Some familiar faces from Club Nexus pop in and make an appearance. This is an amazing story. This is one of those that I by her stories because I know they will always fascinate.

The characters were also creepy to me, especially Rhys and Malaki. The book got creeper the further I got into it. I never thought a building could be creepy but its like everything else in this story, even buildings get creepy. I can’t wait to read book 3 and see what S.H has in store for Kaia Woods. I am definitely going to be rereading both books before I read book 3 when it comes out.

It is full of tension, drama, action, mystery, intrigue and heart-pounding suspense. The author delves into fears and phobias such as the fear of death; the fear of butterflies; the fear of abandonment; the fear of cockroaches; the fear of Friday the 13th; the fear of being buried alive; the fear of snakes; and the fear of needles. Things that may seem irrational to outsiders, such as the intense fear of a butterfly, can cause intense and crippling fear in those that are terrified by the fluttering insects. The fear of abandonment can cause someone to go to terrifying lengths to ensure that those they love never abandon them. The fear of cockroaches may lead to an intense obsession with cleanliness to the point that it drives those that love them away or that may lead to irrational and frightening behavior. I haven’t read to many country cowboy romance books, but I’m glad that I gave this one a chance. It was cute and funny and all the things you think of when you think country romance. Ted, who is a lead cowboy for a local ranch has settled in Montana after the loss of his wife. Not looking for much more than something to keep him busy and away from the pain, he settles into a new life she didn’t expect to permanent. He always thought he would move on. When he meets Stephanie, a yoga instructor, kindergarten teacher, event planner, and community volunteer he starts to feel that maybe he can love again. But he’s her boss. And then she’s his niece’s teacher. Plus he’s way to old for her. Right? Stephanie has a major crush on Ted, but she knows she just has to get over it. She can barley even talk around him! When she’s around him she becomes a whole other person. One that can’t talk or communicate. When Ted’s sister leaves his niece with him with just about no warning he enlists Stephanie’s help with Maddy. Spending extra time with her is just a bonus. Things heat up for Stephanie when a parent starts to cause trouble and an emergency has everyone looking at life and figuring out what they all want. This book was so good!!! I loved all the ranch stuff and I think that it’s super cute that the kindergarten teacher is falling in love! I won’t give away anything, but I personally really liked the book. Grab it! You will love it too!!

This is two books in one and it was a steamy, quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series because of two reasons; one, I didn’t have to wait for the next book to come out in the series and two, it had some pretty decent steam throughout the book. The two stories are different but have the same strong romance brewing between the main characters. In the first story the FMC has been crushing hard on the MMC and makes some major decisions which leads them down the path that becomes a page turning story. The second book is giving all the push and pull between the main characters and what they think they want and what they are starting to feel they want. It is hard to discuss without giving away spoilers, so I am going to have to leave it there. The story line is going to get you hooked on both stories but the steam is going to keep you turning pages as fast as you possibly can. The fact that I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next made this a quick read. I highly suggest this book to anyone who loves short series, steam, love, romance, and a great story line. Reviewed by: @bbohls
This book was not what I expected. I picked this book based on the cover and title alone. I didn’t read the blurb that goes along with it because sometimes I just like to be really surprised by what I am reading. I had this whole scenario envisioned in my head as to what this handshake agreement could be about just based off of the cover. I was so, so, so, wrong. It was even better than what I thought it would be. It has romance and steam, that I personally love. It has second chance romance that is always good but this is a slow burn good. The main characters fall deeply in love and then something happens to turn their worlds upside down. I felt the pain that the characters have when going through this. It was really well written to make sure that the reader can be a bowl full of emotions throughout the book. The FMC, in my eyes forgives a little too easily but it flows well with the book. It was a quick read and a major page turner. The MMC has very alpha type energy and inserts himself into situations with the FMC. There is the push and pull that doesn’t feel tedious but spot on for this story. I highly enjoyed it. I might have to pick books based off of titles and covers alone more often. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a little steam, a push and pull romance, and a little drama. Reviewed by: @bbohls

This is the start of the series and it starts with a bang. I couldn’t put it down. I read this book in a day. It was a quick read for me because it flowed really smoothly all throughout the book. The meet cute in this book is so worth it. It brings a whole new meaning to the title. lol. This boo had me giggling and on the verge of tears at one point. I feel that it was really well written in order to pull all of those emotions out of me. The characters are well rounded and have development throughout the story. I feel that the following books in the series will be about the supporting characters in this book, so it is laying a great foundation for the rest of the series. This is the first book I have read by the author Cori Cooper. It is a surprising and fun YA fantasy book. There were times that the book was a little on the slow side, but it wasn’t so slow that it took away from the book. It is jam-packed with adventure, quirky & loving characters, wonderful fantasy worldbuilding, teenage drama, magic, emotions all over the place, and so much more!
The concept of doing a DNA test to see if you have “villain” in your heritage is such an interesting idea and then to expand that idea into finding out your ‘tendencies’ is even more interesting! The most fascinating aspect for me is that we all want to be seen for who we are now, or who we are trying to become, not who we used to be. No one wants to be known for the past. What had me hooked was the statement “Every good fairy tale needs a villain” because YES!!
Maddy is less than thrilled when her DNA results come back with 1/4 villain, not only is she not thrilled, she is insanely confused by her mom and grams reactions to the DNA results. What does this even mean?
Maddy figures out quickly that the world she knew is completely incorrect, there are magical realms. After Maddy’s best friend is banished to another realm, she MUST go rescue him. After things take a turn for the worst, Maddy starts to think there is fact to her DNA results – could she actually be villain, does that make her a bad person? Maddy’s black/white view of you can only be good OR evil, but not both, is turned upside down, and I absolutely loved how she grows as a person!
All of the characters involved in the story were so personal and entertaining, especially Leo. There is a wonderful mix of modern day teenager and magical fairytale. The ending was *perfection* – one of the best endings I’ve read! The book does not end on a cliffhanger, BUT, I would love to see where Maddy and Leo’s story goes, so I am looking forward to that. This is an amazing book for YA, while there is some romance, it is wholesome. This would also be a good pallet cleanser for just a clean, fun, and quirky book! Highly recommend too anyone YA (and even older!) who enjoys a little modern mixed with their fairytale magic.

This is the second book in the series and they just keep getting better. This book is a quick read and it will have you wanting to know more with every page. This is a different take on the genre than I am used to. Being as it is the second book in the series, I feel that you could read them out of order. You will be able to grasp the concepts of the book without feeling like you’re missing anything. However, if you did read them in order, you would definitely have more insight into what is going on. I felt like this new take on things really made the genre feel vibrant and fresh to me again. I wasn’t expecting some of the twists and turns that this book takes but I am completely here for it. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book offers suspense, horror, paranormal, and dystopian elements that I couldn’t get enough of. I only wish that the book was longer. This is the 3rd book in the series and I knew from book 1 that I needed to follow this series all the way through. I can say that I am not disappointed that I did. It is a quick read but you will find yourself turning pages to see what happens next. The author is able to take a genre and do something that I would have never expected. The author keep this going all the way through the three books. I really felt the story process from book to book. That being said you don’t necessarily have to read them in order. I feel like you would be able to pick up everything from the book and not feels if you’re missing something if you haven’t read the other two. However, once you actually read this book you will want to go and read the others in the series. I am pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book and I felt like the books kept getting better with each one. This book does seem shorter than the others but the content is still there. It did feel a little rushed but I felt like that with the other books as well. I think it is because I wanted it to continue and go more in depth. Reviewed by: @bbohls

Toasted is a fast-paced, small-town romance. Their banter was fun to read, and the supporting characters were all excellent additions that hopefully get their own stories soon!

Fire Meets Fire is Book Two in the Wretched Soulz MC Series. It is an MC Romance with drama, suspense, action, intrigue, angst, danger, secrets, passion, and chemistry. The story centers around the characters of Chaz, the President of the MC’s club, and Helo, who has recently been released from the military on a medical discharge. Chaz prides himself on being tough and protecting the members of his club. When he discovers that someone is stealing from them, he vows to catch the person responsible. Chaz catches Helo in the act of stealing motorcycle parts and for some odd reason finds himself admiring how she stands up to him. Although he is determined to remain single, he finds himself attracted to her and when Chaz discovers that someone is after Helo, he cannot help but want to try to protect her. Helo is fierce, strong, independent and does not want saving. Another fantastic well written book with interesting characters by this talented author.

Libby, a new resident of Woodvalley Pines meets Zach (a hunky firefighter) because her toaster caught fire and he of course had to be the one that came and rescued her. There are a few sad moments as well as some funny moments and lets not forget the steamy moments either. I promise that you will love this book and want to know what happens next. I for one can’t wait to read the next book, I hope that it comes out soon.

Marder Mystery, amusement park, and cats! What a combo, but this book was great! This is book one in the series and boy was it enough to hook you in and be left wanting more! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I loved how different it was! The felines and the cleaning staff keep the Fairytale Forest theme park clean and rodent free. When a night shift worker named Cat (Catherine) follows Zoe (one of the cats) to the park’s main street, they find a manager strangled to death. Of course her 50 year old self and her friend Gloria are at the top of the suspect list. Just having a complaint against them didn’t help. With the help of her new feline friends, Cat must solve this murder! She has to clear her name. Yeah she didn’t like the lady, but she didn’t hate her so much that she’d kill her!! Working with cats to solve a murder. These ladies can’t resist a good mystery, but will they walk right into the murderers clutches as they investigate. Who will die next?! This book will have you not wanting to put it down! I kind of thought about who the killer would be and it was in my top few, but it was still so good. Sometimes I can guess the killer and other times I am left guessing! I loved it! Can’t wait to read more to the series!!

This is the second book in the series and it is so good. First and foremost, you do not need to read the first one before this one to understand what is going on. I do feel that you should read the first one because these books are that good. I liked this story because the setting is a little different then what I am typically used to. I liked that they started their “relationship” only without ever meeting. It is a take on modern day romances that doesn’t get portrayed very often in books. That being said it was a little confusing when the text changed from font type to emails being sent. Once, I got the flow of it things were easier and then the book went seamlessly to the end. I enjoyed the back and forth with the characters and their natural progression and evolution throughout the book. I am a sucker for emotional growth. There is a glimpse into the characters from the first book but they don’t over shadow or draw away from the story line. It is enough tot get your teeth wet to want to read the first book if you haven’t already. There is spice in this book that is really well written. Five Tries to Get It Right is a women’s fiction story about love, loss, grief, hope, and the strength found in true friendship. Lydia and Kate have been friends since childhood and no matter how busy their lives have gotten, or what direction each of their lives went, they have always been able to pick up their friendship where it left off. Lydia is crushed when she learns that Kate has tried to commit suicide and vows to help her friend bounce back from the edge of darkness. Since the sudden loss of her husband, and her daughter away for school, Kate is all that Lydia has left. Kate is severely depressed since her divorce and the loss of her company and refuses Lydia’s help. Lydia decides that the best medicine can be found in traveling to the five places the two friends visited in their twenties and reliving the best moments from that time. This story was one of resilience, courage, strength, second chances, and rediscovering oneself. Kate and Lydia are wonderful characters that I found personable and relatable. I instantly felt a connection with Kate because of my own past battle with depression and feelings of hopeless. Reading about her journey took me on an emotional rollercoaster and pulled at my heartstrings. Lydia and Kate were lucky to have such a beautiful friendship and find strength in one another.

Molly is at it again in book two! She has asked her friend Evan to photograph her clients (cats). In book one he took photos of her two cats and she thought it would be great to offer to her cat owners. But someone has other plans. The go into his studio and find Evan’s old art teacher dead in the darkroom!! Molly wants to call the police, but once again Evan, her animal friends, and herself are threatened! Molly is determined to find out who the killer is. The background in a photo might help. But can Molly find out who the killer is and stop them before someone else dies?! And again, what about the cats!! Man this is such a fun series. I am so glad that I gave it a chance. You’ll be guessing who the killer is and be wrong half the time! LOL. But that’s also fun!!

This book was really good! I was a little worried with it being a murder mystery with cats, but I am so glad that I gave it a shot! I loved it! I couldn’t figure out who the murderer was at first and I LOVE that!! I can normally spot the killer right away and it kind of sucks. But not with this one!! I was torn between a couple people who I thought did it! In this book you meet Molly. She’s a cat groomer that has a shop, but also has a mobile van she works out of as well. She loves her job and she love animals. Everything was going great until one of her fur parents started acting strange. He’s normally over her shoulder watching everything she does to his cat. His time he dropped the cat off and asked her to bring him home later. So odd for this person. She tries to bring him home, but no one answers the door. Thinking that maybe he was outside in the back yard she goes around to check. Unfortunately she finds him dead in the garden. Things don’t add up and the sheriff seems dead set on the killer before even looking at all the evidence. Molly starts to do her own investigation. A lot of people are acting odd and there seems to be a lot of arguments around town. When he gets a treat about her and her cat she knows that their is more to this murder then anyone knows. Will she find the killer before he kills her? And what about the poor cats!! Such a great suspenseful murder mystery. I can’t wait to read the next book!!

Moonlight Drive is a contemporary romance full of drama, angst, love, hate, secrets, rockstars, addiction, friendship, groupies, and second chance romance. The story is set in the ’80’s/90’s and centers around the characters of Dani Isabella and Nicki Quick who grew up together and were childhood sweethearts. The world now knows him as Nicki Quick, but Dani knows and remembers him as Nick Johnsen, the boy next door. Nicki swore that he would become a successful musician and would one day return to save Dani but instead he quickly got swept up in the world of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll. Dani never wanted to be saved and instead wanted to pursue her own dreams and become successful in a boy’s world. What Dani has never told anyone is that she can sing and write songs. Dani/Daniela has joined Moonlight Drive’s 1985 Loved and Wired Tour disguised as a groupie in the hopes that her childhood sweetheart, Nick, will remember her. Unfortunately, Nicki does not recognize her and instead thinks of Daniela as just another groupie. As the two spend time together Nicki soon begins to realize that Daniela is different from the rest of the groupies and that she is a talented songwriter. This was an intense rollercoaster ride of emotions as two souls destined to be together become separated by time, distance, and addiction but are brought together again by love, hope, and music.

This is an amazing story of friendship and all the healing and tribulations that can come from friendship. It is an amazing heartwarming tale that takes twists and turns that are relatable to the reader. These two friends take a trip to try to work out everything that is going on in their lives at the time. One friend is feeling like there is no where for her to go and is seeing the everything as the end. The other is trying to figure out life without her spouse and a grown daughter. This book deals with some heavy issues that might stir up some feelings in the readers. It deals with depression, suicide, loneliness, but it also deals with strength, courage, finding oneself, and learning to live through what seems like the most. This book not only has the characters going on a journey but takes the reader with them. I was turning pages because I felt myself become so emotional involved with the characters. I needed to know what was going to happen and how they were going to process and heal. I haven’t felt this emotionally connected or moved by a story in a while. I would highly recommend that anyone who reads this book to take the trigger warning seriously. There are some heavy issues that may not be suitable for everyone. Reviewed by: @bbohls

Moonlight Drive was an emotional ride. The timelines go back and forth as you get to know the main characters, Dani and Nick. There is sex, drugs, and rock & roll. There is also heartbreak and a lot of the right person and the wrong time, but it was worth it. Many parts were very reminiscent of The Dirt. Mind your trigger warnings.
This book is so cute!! My kids and I thought that it was adorable. The illustrations are so cute and super fun. Great counting book for younger kids (toddler and preschool age). You can have your kids search and find all the starfish along the way as you read. There are also some great facts about starfish at the end of the book. There are some fun search and find pages in the back as well. It will have you going through the book a couple times with your kid(dos), counting a few different things. I LOVE this book for babies 1st library!! Start them reading young and they’ll be counting in no time! And they will learn that reading is fun and can teach you so much!

What a cute counting book for younger kids! I love that this author takes random animals and helps children not only learn how to count, but also gives them some cute fun facts about them as well. Kids can learn so much by reading and these books are perfect for that! I didn’t know some of these facts! Did you know that sandpipers can change their colors?? How cool is that?! The illustrations in this book are adorable and match the story so well. I can’t wait to read more of these. These books are great for toddlers and preschoolers. Wonderful first library books too!!

Such a super cute counting book for kids! This book is wonderful for younger kids. Start them out young, reading these cute books and they will have a love of reading and learn at the same time!! Both of my girls are older, but they thought this was an adorable book. My oldest wants a turtle so bad, but of course not a sea turtle. Lol. The illustrations are bright and beautiful. The turtles are so cute!! We loved the little search and find in the back too. We even went back through to look for all the little crabs. We also enjoyed the fun facts in the back about turtles. Did you know sea turtles don’t have teeth? That’s just one of the fun things you learn when reading this super cute turtle counting book. Grab this for a toddler or preschooler’s first library! Oh an you can download a song that goes with it! Just scan the code in the back for more fun!!
