This is the second book of the series. This is Fiend’s (Jett) story. Fiend was a troubled teen when he ran away from home because he didn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps. He met Lucifer (the Leader of Merciless Few MC) and his ol’ lady Sam, they took him in and he worked hard to become part of the brotherhood. Fiend is like a lot of the brotherhood when it comes to having an ol’ lady (they don’t want to settle down). You also meet Poppy, she is a bunny but she wants to be an ol’ lady. This a sad story of Jett’s childhood and his actual family. You will learn things from Jett’s and Poppy’s past that will have you in tears. There were moments where I didn’t want to continue reading because my heart hurt so much for both of them. This is one of those books that you will connect with no matter what, keep reading so that you can find peace yourself.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Each book follows a different character, so you might see names that you recognize throughout the series in each one. This book is extremely well written. It captures your attention right off the bat and continues to entertain you throughout the book. There is the broken leading male that feels he is undeserving of things in his life. The love of a good woman and his biker friends might be enough to pull him out of the self imposed exile that he has been in. This book has everything y0u would expect from a motorcycle club romance book. There is the danger, drama, steam, love, friendship, violence, and redemption. Giving all the things in the book, you will be on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, cried, got angry, screamed, and swooned while reading this book. The emotions that it was able to pull out me has made me want to read everything this author has published because this book was just that good. I just can’t wait for the next read. You won’t be disappointed in this book and I highly recommend reading the other book in the series.

This is book 4 in the series and it did not disappoint. It was just as good if not better than the first three books. This book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the whole series. The characters are sprinkled throughout the other books, so you have an idea of who they are. Plus, you are able to get a deeper connection with the characters. If you choose to read this book first just know that you won’t be disappointed. You will be able to gain that connection because of how the book is written. I love a good second chance love story and I love to see growth of characters. This book has both of those things. These characters have been through some stuff in their lives and they are hesitant to move forward because of the past trauma. The growth allows them to believe again and fall for each other. The emotions that this book was able to pull out of me was shocking but felt cathartic at the same time. It was a quick read because I couldn’t put it down. I am just a huge fan of this series and the books keep getting better and better. I love reading the evolution of the characters in this book. It has everything a great romance would have; love, steam, push and pull, character development, and being a page turner.

Oh, what an exciting book to read. I was drawn right in by the story. The suspense in the story kept me on edge and engaged. The two brothers and his wife kept this story very tense and mysterious. The writing is very good. It’s a nice, quick read that really helps explain the whole series.

First book that I have read from this author. I absolutely loved every bit of it. I felt so sad for Avi and Raven throughout the story. Avi comes to America for a better life for her and her daughter, Raven. She has a brother named Frankie who came to America first and said he would send for her. Unfortunately, he didn’t send for her and then things that got bad for her and her daughter when a “boy” decided to put his hands on Raven. She fled to the US on a ship, she was brought to the area that her “brother” worked/ owned. Coming here she thought she would be safe from danger, it turns out she wasn’t. In fact, I feel like she was in more danger. I couldn’t wait to finish this book and I know you won’t either. I can’t wait to read the next one either. I am hoping that there is a series with this MC group so that I can learn more about the club and the band of brothers along with their ol’ ladies and club bunnies of course.

Wow! I did not expect to like this as much as I did as it’s not my typical genre/tropes. When Tessa realizes she is being stalked, and she gets no help from the police, she hires a private detective, and things take off from there. The suspense was suspensing. The romance was romancing. A slow, will they, won’t they. The climax of the story had me literally gasping lout loud. This book was inclusive and had a wonderful steady plot from start to finish.

Mal had envisioned herself with the ring.<br />Evan ends up proposing and his best friend Beckett aka Foxy are getting suits for the wedding. Foxy ends up telling Evan that he is in love with Mal. Basically everyone knows except Evan.<br />It really is a happily ever after for everyone. This book was soo good! Highly recommend if you want to laugh and smile through a whole book.

This is the fourth book in the series. I really absolutely love this series. There is a lot of sadness at the start and part because of some losses that the characters have. Bijou is a manager/owner of a REC center that is falling apart. Normal wear and tear of the building, her daughter Claire (like most preteens) wants a cell phone. However, Bijou can’t really afford to get her one. So she suggests looking for a job to help pay for one. In the process of doing so, Bijou gets a phone call from Noah (a former boxer) who lost his wife in a horrible accident and is now raising his son Holder by himself. He left the world that he and his wife had to get away from all the speculations of his life. Can he find a new life with Holder in this small town? Read to find out, because I am not going to tell you.

Content to his life he’s existing day by day. But fates seem to through them together. Mishaps pulling them into each other baths while both searching for something. But can either one trust again? With each other’s baggage there might be to much past stuff. Can these two come together and move past their past? Trust can sometimes be the only way. Leap of faith into the unknown. I can not wait to read more in this series!! I honestly thought this book was part of another series, but as soon as I started reading I realized I was in for something new. Boy was I surprise and excited at the same time! PS. I am bad at looking at names when it comes to not only books or authors names. I know, I know. Bad. But hey I got a great knew series out of it!! So hey! Win in by book! 🙂

This is the first time reading this author so I am excited to find out more about this storyline. So in this story, Selene has been focused on walking down the aisle with her finance, Rayden. Unfortunately, the days here on Earth have been shortened by the unknown life from another planet. They have come to take over the little town. There are dangers around every turn and no one really knows what will happen next. Read to find out what happens to the town, the people and Selene and Rayden as they try to figure out where they go from this once happy, serene place and now its very scary and vicious city.

A Gothic New Orleans. I loved the overall feeling this book had. A.D Brazeau has a way with words and this book does not disappoint. The book is full of darkness, but also small bits of romance, paranormal aspects, as well as greek mythological characters and the fact that it is based on a historical situation, makes it all that better. (the author obviously took creative liberties with the history)

One of the main characters, Greer, is such a strong-willed, and brave young woman. She was not like the other “casket girls”, she did not want to be sent oversea to marry a stranger, she was taken by force. Given no other choice, Greer has decided to make a deal with Hades to help her and her friends, as well as Theron. Does Greer succeed in saving those who are close to her?

Even though there are creative liberties with what is the “truth” about the casket girls, I very much enjoyed this book and the mix of historical information, greek mythology, and the paranormal aspects that have surrounded the casket girls’ stories. I have seen a good bit of New Orleans, including the Old Ursuline Convent, and so it was very easy for me to imagine everything said in the book, which I loved. I absolutely will be reading book 2 and recommend this book to anyone who loves historical, paranormal romance.

Luciana “Lucy” Russo and Serafina “Sera” Manzini were fans of the rock music band Falling Down. At 17, Lucy and Sera were in a Chicago airport waiting for a flight when Sera spotted Jesse. She drags Lucy over to the rock star. Jesse spends time with the two girls. When he takes a personal picture with Lucy, their flight is called. Jesse and Lucy look into each other’s eyes and feel something between them spark. Parting ways, Lucy and Sera start their lives with memories of their encounter.

Six years later, Lucy was a successful and famous actress. Lucy and Sera have agreed to do a music video job that Cage Nichols was directing. After both girls were ready for filming, both went to the staging area. Seeing the band’s equipment, the girls borrow some of the equipment. Not paying attention to their surroundings, the girls don’t realize that the members of Falling Down and Cage have arrived. Everyone is impressed by their amazing talent. Jesse remembers both girls and introduces them to the remaining band members.

The first day of filming has finished. Lucy and Sera were relaxing in the dressing room when the band entered. Jesse tells Lucy that he intends on having sex with her by the time they are done with filming. That evening, the girls go to a club to blow off steam. Lucy sees Jesse, and they start dancing together. When other people begin taking their pictures and filming the intimate way they are dancing, Lucy’s bodyguard interrupts them. Paparazzi were en route to the club.

Sera and Lucy have been collaborating about forming their own band. They had both dreamed of being musicians. When they approach Cage about the idea, Jesse and Xander overhear the conversation. Taking a break from being a movie actress, Lucy expects backlash from her mother, Regina. She is not shocked when Regina claims she is throwing away her fame and profitable career.

Lucy had always wanted to spend a night with Jesse, believing he wanted a fling as well. Jesse’s reputation as a playboy is well known. Agreeing to go to dinner with Jesse, Lucy is surprised by his devoted attention. Dinner turns into something more intimate at Jesse’s house. What Lucy doesn’t know is that the spark from six years ago threatens to consume them.

Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by Anne Mercier. The best way to describe the plot is by comparing it to a spark building into an inferno. Lots of steamy scenes for the romance fans while still having a story of personal growth for Lucy and Jesse. The Chicago mafia ties to the girls lingering around the edges. The character development for each person was beyond exceptional. The clear changes in perspective between Jesse and Lucy are easy to follow. The vivid details make it easy to envision each scene clearly. Mercier didn’t make Lucy, Sera, and the group of Falling Down infallible. This made it easy to find their actions and thoughts relatable, a trait that I admired. I have nothing negative to say about this amazing story and look forward to continuing the series.

I was that person on the treadmill, kindle in hand, because I couldn’t stop reading it, but exercise is important. I would read a full-blown series in this world. I wasn’t ready to put this down, and I’m going to miss the characters!

Notebook Mysteries: Art of Deception is Book Seven in the Notebook Mysteries Series. It is an historical crime book full of danger, drama, action, adventure, mystery, hidden agendas, intrigue, hidden deception, stolen jewels, and crime. Although this book is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone. I do, however, recommend reading all the books in this series because it is an amazing series with interesting characters and intriguing storylines. As with all books in the series, this one pulled me right into the story and had me hooked until the end. Our MC, Emma is off on another adventure that involves her ex and his pregnant girlfriend. Emma and her boyfriend Jeremy join forces to hunt down a killer and find a treasure. A great story full of twists and turns and another great addition to this amazing series!

This is a very short story. To be honest, I really thought that it was going to be a drawn out story that ends with broken glass. It was a good book anyways. It’s the first time I read anything by this author. Do you believe in seeking revenge or do you believe Karma will get those who dare to cross it? I am more about karma because seeking revenge is somewhat dangerous because you never what might happen along the way. This book is really fast paced, I literally read it in a few moments.

This is the first book that I have read by the author Sinister Styx, and my thoughts are in the middle, not necessarily “bad” but also not great. This book is EXTREMELY fast-paced and short, it only took me about 10-15 minutes to read the entire novella. The length and speed did not bother me too much, except that I just wish there was ‘more’ as I felt like there was just something missing throughout the entire book, but, I can’t place exactly what it is. The book was very concise and jumped right into the plot, but I felt there just was not enough description to fully grasp and hold my attention. There are a bunch of twists and turns and I was pleasantly surprised by the ending.

Falcon and Ivy’s relationship is cursed/doomed from the start, even though they do truly love each other. Ivy just wants everything to go back to normal, to go back to the time before she began to question her husband’s fidelity, but is that even possible? The book felt very similar to Romeo & Juliet, featuring jealous lovers, betrayal, love and revenge. Falcon does not take Ivy’s accusations lightly and things go up into flames and spiral out of control very quickly. Will Ivy and Flacon receive the blessed happily ever after that they both want or will their marriage be destroyed beyond repair?

Considering this is a dark romance and very graphic, please make sure to read the trigger warnings beforehand. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves dark romance and may want a pallet/mind cleanser between other books. Also, because it is such a fast-paced book it would be perfect read if it is one of those weeks where you want to read, but you are struggling to actually maintain focus.

This book was cute. I loved the story and the illustrations. I have a nine year old, but I think that this book can be read by younger kids. This book is about a dog that scratched behind his ear. One by one, the children, starting with the dog’s owner start doing things to help with fleas that they learned from their parents. If they didn’t have an item they just used something else. To say things got a bit crazy is an understatement. Vinegar! Yuck. Poor dog! Lol. Funny and cute. The dog ends up hiding from the kids! Great for first libraries and elementary children. We really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more!!

This book was so good!! The detail describing the dragon and stuff was so amazing! I could picture the beast changing forms so easily. Very well written. I can’t wait to read more!! This book is about a girl named Gillian. She lives in a land that has lost much of it’s history over time. The Shadowlands are a forbidden area that everyone fears and for good reason. When her brother’s life is in danger Gillian enters the Shadowlands to try and find a cure to a disease that has been plaguing the world for a very long time. She’s hunted as soon as she crosses the barrier. She’s saved but caught by one of the Great Dragon’s son. Held captive she learns as much as she can. She must get the cure and get back to her brother before he dies. Trying to break free doesn’t go as planned and she doesn’t want the future the Great Dragon is offering. Can she get away from the beast and his sons to get back to her brother in time? The cure could help so many if she can just find it! The more she learns the more she can’t help but wonder where in history everything went so wrong. Thawing towards the Dragon isn’t something she wants to do. Gillian must choose a path and either way a death is possible. What future will she pick and will she regret it, just like she did when she first stepped into the Shadowlands and was attacked.

This is book 3 in the Predator series and if you haven’t read the first two books, I highly suggest that you do so you have some background information. Each of the characters for these books are introduced in other books in the series. I tend to enjoy that when reading a series because you get glimpses of what might be coming next or you get to see your favorite characters living their lives. This book is a super quick read not only because it is just a book you don’t want to put down but also because it is a shorter book or seemed that way to me. Before, I go into why this book is amazing please do take note that you don’t have to read the other two books in the series before this one, as it is considered a stand alone. So if you do read this one, first just know that the other books in the series are just as good and you won’t be disappointed when you read them. This book has passion, drama, secrets, character baggage, love, and triumph. There is a past that helped shape one of the characters and they have to figure out if they can overcome that in order to have a fulfilling life of love that they deserve. You will find yourself feeling all the emotions of the characters. You will be rooting for them as they figure things out. You will finish this books feeling at peace with everything that happened and how things ended. The being said I am not going to give anything away. You will find out yourselves when you read this book. I can’t wait for more in this series. They are so good.

Absurd, Said Bird: A Fun Children’s Adventure About a Mouse Who Dreams of Travel is the First Book in the Traveler Series. The author has taken her years of experience on a ranch as inspiration to write this entertaining story about ranch life and ranch animals. This delightful little story is about a Mouse who wants to build a plane so he can travel to the moon because he thinks that it is made of cheese. He convinces his barnyard friends to help him and tells them that he will bring them all back some cheese from the moon. The only friend who does not want to go along with Mouse’s plan is Bird, who thinks that Mouse’s plan is absurd. The ensuing story is a delightful little adventure about friends who band together to help a mutual friend. This book will surely delight readers of all ages with its cute story, colorful illustrations, and delightful characters. Looking forward to Book Two in this series!

Beth and Scott are working the women’s featherweight boxing circuit. Scott fell in love with Beth a year ago but since then, Beth refuses to let him get close again. Beth visits a children’s cancer center and meets Tilly. Returning to the hotel, Scott is shocked to see Beth’s hair is gone. She had her hair cut to make Tilly a wig.

In Denver, Bob enters the locker room while Scott uses the bathroom. Seeing Beth standing frozen and Bob telling her to give him a kiss, Scott rushes to her side, telling Bob to leave immediately, claiming to be her boyfriend. Later that evening, Scott discovers Beth has a hidden secret. She takes a step to confide in Scott, telling him the details as to why she doesn’t trust anyone. Instead of abandoning her, Scott consoles her and declares he will always be there for her. In Dallas, Beth and Scott are closer, though she still isn’t fully committed to Scott. They are spending time in a dance club when someone from the past changes the future of Wildfire’s rise to the championship.

The dive into Scott and Beth’s love/hate relationship was written tastefully. I found the sentimental recollection seen through Scott’s memory of their night in Las Vegas during K.C and Chamberlain’s wedding gave a better idea of how he was willing to abandon his playboy reputation. Beth’s visit to the Children’s Cancer Treatment Center brought tears to my eyes. I would have had the same reaction as Scott when he learned why she shaved her head. The surprise revelations were captivating. Connecting with the emotions of the two characters was effortless and the transitions between each point of view were seamless. The use of italics in Scott’s recollection of the path made it clear what point of time was being reflected. I would recommend this romance novel to mature adults who enjoy seeing both sides of a relationship as it develops.

This book was really all about Beth (K.C.’s best friend) and how she got where she is today. There is a continued love/hate relationship between her and Scott (Chamberlain’s best friend). There are really sad parts throughout the story and I feel for Beth and everything that she has gone through since she was abandoned by her mom. I wouldn’t even now how to feel if that had happened to me. Can you relate to her? Scott is a ladies man and never that a relationship could ever happen but there is just something about Beth that he can’t quite get and he realizes that he wants the same thing as Chamberlain has. Can they find love within each other or are these two destined to be alone for the rest of their lives? You need to read the series in order to really get the answer.

This is a great read. It is an emotional roller coaster. As a reader, you will feel every emotion of the characters. It is such a well written book. It is the second book in the series and it does have a over lapping of characters. I find that I love books that bring the characters of other books back into them or that is how we get introduced to the new characters for future books. You don’t necessarily have to read the first book before this one but you will want to. This book has every emotion you can think of: angst, suspense, drama, love, sadness, and steam. There is a balance between all the emotions that you will experience but you WILL experience them all as you read this. This book was a quick read for me because I found myself not being able to put it down. This book kept me turning pages to continue on. It allowed me to build relationships (in my head) with the characters. I wanted to be friends with all of them. You will not be disappointed while reading this book and it will leave you craving for more.

This was a really nice second chance romance for the YA set. Life falls apart and you get all the teen angst and everything that goes with it. I came away feeling that it gave a pretty realist little view of teen romance. It had you feeling all the motions. It was pretty easy to become engaged with the story. The writing was good and the characters were very well developed.

This book is a three in one! It has- The Gift, The Commander’s Club, and Once in Love. Each one is it’s own short romance erotica that are all super steamy, dom/sub, and bdsm stories. You start off with The Gift, which is a librarian secret admirer fantasy. Penny is a librarian who started getting gifts left for her at work. They are scandalous and left with them are notes that shock her, but at the same time turns her on. After receiving an invitation to meet at a hotel she can’t help but go to find out who this naughty man is. She’s both excited and shocked when she finds out who’s behind her reddened skin. She finds out submission can be fun and powerful!
Next comes The Commander’s Club, a book about Courtney who is a journalist undercover. But her cover isn’t as good as she thought and she’s thrown into the deep end of a huge FBI investigation into a BDSM club. Ty is working as a slave trainer and scoops her up to keep her protected. With her ID in question he starts her training quickly. Courtney is to feisty for her own good and learns quickly that, that can be a bad thing for a sub/dom club. Can Ty protect her and get her out before anyone finds out who she really is? Will she get her story or become one!
The last story in the book is Once In Love, which is about Laura who is in trouble. She’s been accused of stealing, fired from her job, interrogated by the police, and then mugged! Without a job and her stuff she is stranded in Paris. When she’s offered a temp position as a courtesan she’s intrigued by the idea. She reads a lot of Erotica and she can’t help but be tempted. But once her Dom find’s out who she is and that she has to fake it, she’s certain he will dump her to the side for someone else. Nick has been battered by an ex-wife and he’s turning into a workaholic. His sister talks him into going to the courtesan auction, but he’s already decided not to bid. He has more important things. When he spots a redhead on the catwalk he sees not only her innocence, but also her lust. Abruptly leaving he can’t imagine her ending up with a hurtful dom. He out bids everyone and has her sent to his summer vacation spot. Throwing her into a submission course is not only fun, but healing. Can he fall for someone else? Can he ever trust anyone? Laura has big plans for when she finally can afford to leave Paris. She wants to make her art and have a studio. Can she put aside her plans and imagine another future?
Such a great set of stories. All very steamy and hot hot hot. If you are not into BDSM books these are not for you. But if you don’t mind any of the stuff that comes with a Sub/Dom relationship, then grab this one! You won’t be disappointed!!

I am loving booking set back in time. This one was set in the 1800’s! You start out meeting Nico and Matty when they are in their teens. Matty sneaks over to Nico’s house after being beaten and bruised by his father. Everyone has witnessed his abuse and Nico’s parents (Suzette, Isaac, and Walter) decide to do something about it. They take him in to bring him back to health. Nico cares for Matty while they plan on what to do. Nico and Matty fall for one another, but are torn apart. A Priest takes Matty away to hide him from his father and Nico must move on with his life. Matty is taken to the church and Nico starts to study to become a doctor. Hoping one day to come back home and run the practice for his mentor Nico dives into his studies. While away at school, Nico meets Eden who is a nursing student. She wants to do more with her life than be a cattleman’s wife, but she’s not sure if nursing is it or if she wants more. Eden and Nico fall for each other while attending school and go home with happy news. Wedding bells are in the future! But when they go to the church to see the Priest they find Matty! All grown up and back home to deal with his dying father’s affairs. What a reunion this is going to be!!! Eden is in the middle of a first love and she’s not sure where all their futures’ are heading. Such a great book. So well written with the three main characters. Keep in mind that this is a MMF book. If that isn’t for you then just move on from this one. If you don’t mind it then grab this book! It’s sad, full of action, scary, steamy, and just all around a wonderful book. I can’t wait to read more of the series!!

The author has been working in the fitness and nutrition industry for over 30 years and has taken the time to write about what tools it takes to help us lead healthier lives. With so many fitness fads and diets out there it can become overwhelming to anyone who is struggling to lose weight or find something that will work for their own personal needs. Personally, I know it’s been an ongoing struggle for me as far back as I can remember to find something that works to keep the weight off. The convenience of processed foods and fast foods combined with a busy lifestyle has made it increasingly more difficult to get healthy and has added to more weight gain. As I got older, the weight became harder to lose, and I feel more defeated. I know that when I want to lose weight, I expect the pounds to come off overnight, which obviously is obviously unrealistic. There is no magic pill that will help the pounds instantly melt off. This book helped me to understand that the combination of numerous factors around me impact my thinking. It is about more than just exercising, more than choosing the correct foods to eat, and about more than sheer willpower. This book gives the tools to explain why it is so much more than that and offers a step-by-step process which enables you to take the steps necessary to improve your over all well being. This was a very insightful read with a lot of tips and pointers that really got me thinking about a new way to approach my health and wellness journey.

After reading the first book and having been left on a cliff hanger, I knew I needed to read this book. I was not disappointed at all. Since this is the second part, I highly suggest reading the first one to understand what is going on because It does pick up right where the other left off. I was fully engrossed with this book and everything that was written on the pages. I didn’t and couldn’t put it down. I was so engaged in it, that everything else was put on hold in my life until this book was finished. The said, this book is a quick read. lol. It contains all the steam, angst, love, drama, plotting, scheming, suspense, and emotions, that you could ever want in a book. Even though this is the second book in the series I felt like it was even better than the first. Might be because it is the conclusion of the couple but I just felt like this one was a quicker read than the first. There is so much drama and scheming going on with people in this book that I was feeling all of the emotions and getting frustrated with people around me for no reason at all. They were just breathing but I couldn’t handle that and everything that was going on in the book. I can not wait for the next book in this series.
