My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Normally this is not the type of book that I would read as I am not big into Cosplay, but this book blew me away! This book is a slow burning book that kept me on my seat wanting to read more. It centers around a girl named Layla who lives and breathes cosplay when she is not consumed with work, and she is a bundle of nerves as she is going to meet her idol. At the convention she meets Vic who writes books that she is obsessed with and has a nice little banter, and gets her books autographed by him. Later they meet when they are both out having a drink, and this is the start of their story. This is the first book that I have read buy this author and I cannot wait to read more!

This is the first book that I have read by this author, and it was great! This is a feel-good wholesome story that will make anyone who loves romance novels happy. While the main characters at the beginning of the story had held a little animosity towards each other, but that changed when they met up again. While they knew each other previously and had drifted apart they were able to connect. This was a story that I enjoyed in a few short hours as I could not put it down and cannot wait to read more by this author!

Wow the author has done it again! I have been entranced in this series and was sad when I finished this book as it means that I finished a wonderful story! In this book, the story is focused on Mason and Rhyann. Mason is another successful man who owns a nightclub who is used to getting what he wants. Rhyann is a girl who has had a hard life who needs money and fast. Who would have thought that a one-night stand would change everything? This is the start of their story, and it is steamy, wonderful and a great read! I highly recommend reading this book if you love great romance stories!!

This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I could not put it down! The way that the author wrote these characters stories, I was entranced. Derek is a wolf, and he has found his one true mate and lost her after she moved away when they were teenagers. He is left with his thoughts to run wild, as he kicks himself for not chasing after her when he had the chance. Annabelle has lived a tough life and never imagined she would come home, let alone under the bad circumstances. When she runs into Derek it is not all sunshine and romance. I was shocked with the ending and loved every minute of it. If you love paranormal romances this is the series and author for you!

This book was a fantastic read and one of my new favorites that I have read in a long time. The male character, Caspian, is a strong character who works hard for what he wants. When his uncle is dying and tells him that you either do what I want, or you lose your place in the company this changes the course of the story. While Caspian is reeling with this revelation, he runs into an old acquaintance in the hospital, literally. Paisley is at the hospital trying to come up with a way to have money that will allow her to pay for her mother’s care as she is in a constant coma since the incident. This pivotal moment between characters changes everything and starts their amazing story. If you love a good romance story that has you on the edge of your seat needing to know what is to happen with a steamy romance story unfolding, then this book is for you! I cannot wait to read more books by this author!!

Jeremy has nothing to lose as he tries desperately to prove that he is the best one to run the company. When they collide after all of these years’ sparks and anger flies. Wow, when I read the description of this book, I was not prepared for the AMAZING STORY that was to unfold. Dr. Stella is a successful surgeon who likes to live life to the fullest and does not bat an eye while she dates three successful coworkers. Each man brings a different great quality that Stella sees in them and that is why she sees all three. But when things take a shocking turn, now the men are wondering who will win her heart and be the one for her. Will it be Marcus Doyle, the extreme playboy, Joel Glazier her friends with benefits or will it be the super sensitive, sweet guy Alex Casserty? The second book cannot get here fast enough as I need to know what will happen and who Stella will choose.

This is the first book that I have read that it not only had me hooked by the main characters Graham and Lara but by the lovely recipes throughout the story. As I was reading this book, I was baking along the way. The way the author wrote their stories was wonderful and they are really cute together. Both Lara and Graham are head strong and independent but mesh so well. If you enjoy super cute romances and love new baked goods recipes, then this is the book for you! This is a book that follows medical staff of EastPort General. I was entranced and read this book in one sitting. The characters in this novel, Dr. D and Emily, were wonderfully written and amazingly relatable. Emily has heard the rumors of Dr. D and that he rocks women’s world for one night and never shows anymore interest. All of this changes one night when Emily throws up on him. Their story from then on changes and grows. I am absolutely in love with this novel and cannot wait to read the other novels in the series!! Girl, you will sweat. This book is not for the lighthearted as there are 18+ scenes that will make your heart go thud and I am not talking just about the romance. Our strong female lead Saffie, has a past that could break even the strongest of men. However, as this is the third book in the Satan’s Devils series, these are no ordinary men. Niran is determined to repair Saffie and help her feel safe. But what is going to happen when she finds out that he represents the very thing that she is running from? Manda Mellett has quickly become one of my favorite authors. The MC series of books was never truly one of my favorites, however, Mellett’s style of writing, complex characters, and amazing storylines have made me a fan of hers. I highly recommend this book for lovers of Romance, Romantic Suspense, and Contemporary Romance. A Solid 5 out of 5 stars

Right from the start you’re on the edge of your seat, not quite believing what you’re reading. I am an absolute sucker for this kind of storytelling, it draws an amazing picture of the main character and his struggles throughout the whole book. The pulp fiction, crime thriller books that O’Flynn keeps writing, is nothing short of impressive. This is book 9 in the Ash Park series and hot dang what a series. This series is most defiantly a series order read. Meaning you need to start a book 1 and work your way to this book to get the best out of this book. We are back with Detective Edward Petrosky. This man is his own type of messed up. He has seen some terrors and has lived to tell the tale. It’s like the bad luck just wants to hang around and follow him. So when he gets the simple B&E, he thinks this one will be easier, however, it is far from it. Mix in his adopted family, the crazy neighbors, and a faked death….does this mean…murder?
This book will keep you on your toes and you will keep flipping the pages for more. 5 out of 5 stars. Recommended for lovers of crime drama, thrillers, mystery, and suspense.

Center of Gravity (An Ice Tigers Hockey Romance #2) by Isabella Cassazza

This is book 2 in An Ice Tiger Hockey Romance Series, but can be read as a stand alone. This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I’ve got to say I want more. Isabella is talented and brings characters to life.

Emilia, a clothing heiress, finds that her grandfather buys a hockey team. Living in Rome she has to make the move to America. When she runs into the person she was looking for. The quote I choose for Emilia is: “If your daddy doesn’t want us, we’ll make it on our own.”

Matt, a hockey player, does something he doesn’t regret in Italy. When the person shows up he’s shocked. Matt doesn’t want a relationship or does he? The quote I choose for Matt is: “The babies are all over the internet?”

This book had me reading the book and not wanting to put it down. This was a phenomenal read and I really want more. Matt and Emilia are by far the cutest!

Awakening Of A Soul Keeper: Prequel To The Soul Keeper Series by Brienne Dubh
5 out of 5 stars

This fast high action, fast paced, paranormal, fantasy romance novel will change how you want to read about vampires in the future. This book is the prequel to the series so you learn a lot about the characters and you are prepared to dive into the Soul Keeper Series if you have not already read or have started that series.

This book, while shorter, does an amazing job of building foundations of each characters and histories of each. I, myself, have not read the Soul Keeper series, however, I am happy that I started with this book. Theodora, our main female character, is strong, willful and full of fire. Lizander is hard, impassive and not at all what you think he should be by the end of the book as he grows to be someone completely unexpected. Theodora is the keeper of a vampire’s soul. Lizander is that Vampire. The interaction between the two of them is both hilarious and tense, expected yet unexpected. I HIGHLY recommend this book for lovers of paranormal, romance, and scifi fantasy.

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3)Souls Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Souls Collide by Kristina Beck is the third book in her Collide Series and this one just keeps getting better and better. This suspenseful romance follows the story of Alexa and Kent, that just pulls you in from the first page and you won’t be able to get enough of these two. Alexa is a caring, compassionate woman who is fiercely independent, and yet these is something that draws her to her neighbor Kent. He doesn’t seem to show any emotion or even seem to notice that she is a woman by any means and yet she just can’t stay away. Never one to mince her words, Alexa keeps being her indelibly honest personality until she gets under his skin. Kent has spent his life being a police officer, at the expense of every woman in his life, he can’t give up his love of defending the law and so he stays away from romantic entanglements to spare them from his livelihood. As a man who is barely existing, he comes off as unsympathetic and even churlish at times. Then Alexa walks in the room. The sparks that fly between these two from that first meeting will singe the pages. Conflict is how Kent attempts to keep Alexa at bay, and yet the more time they spend together the more that he finds himself wanting to protect her and keep her all to himself. Can these two find a way to put down their swords and give into the passion that everyone else can see between them? Or will the hurt of their pasts keep them from having the romance of a lifetime? Beck is anew to me author, and I am so happy that I picked up this book. Once I realized that it was part of a series, I did gobble up the other two books in this series. I highly recommend that you read this series in order, even though each book can stand on its own merits. If you are looking to get swept away by great characters and an author who will capture your heart than this is one that you need to get today! I hope that Beck keeps writing because I can’t wait to see what she brings to her readers next.

Beats of the Heart (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series book 1) by Charli B. Rose – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Beats of the HeartBeats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is the first book in her new series Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series, and wow what a fantastic start! Following the story of Izzy and Dawson, who have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember and yet the feelings between them are deeper than that of friendship lately. When they decide to take the step into lovers from friends, their hearts beat as one. Izzy is Dawson’s muse, she makes all of his musical talents possible. Dawson is the only man who has made Izzy feel the way she does. The chemistry between these two is palpable from between the pages, making for some very steamy reading at times. Everything seems to be going perfectly for these two love birds until the darkness starts to roll in and threaten everything, they have worked so hard to achieve. Will these two be able to work together to make it back towards the light, or will this journey as lovers end with broken hearts and empty promises? Rose is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this book up. From the first page I fell into this story, into the world of Izzy and Dawson, and I couldn’t read this one fast enough to satisfy my need. The banter and chemistry between these characters was very well executed, making for a great read. If you are looking for a book that will make you swoon while pulling you into a perfectly written world than this is the one for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!
