This book is a cute collection of three separate, but intwined love stories, somewhat brought together by a fourth. In part one you have the story of Sadie and Charlie who meet unexpectedly in a book store, and reconnect when they discover that their purchases were switched. The book that Sadie had intended to purchase happens to be based on the love story that Charlie grew up hearing, about how his grandparents met. The second part, is about the author of the book that Sadie purchased reconnected with her ex-husband when they both unknowingly end up moving to the same small town, and going into the same bookstore. The third part is about the bookstore owner herself finding love unexpectedly. The sections could be read independently, but also work perfectly as a three part story of love and friendship.

Secure Again: A Chase Group Story is a wonderfully written book that is packed with action, mystery , some danger and romance. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop till I finished. There was times I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. Dr. Elizabeth Reed is a trauma surgeon and she believes every life is important and makes it her mission to try and save every person she operates on. When some inmates start coming in with similar injuries she sets out to find out what is causing them. Martin is the newly appointed CEO of Chase Security international when he gets called home because his brother has been shot. Martin finds out that its Elizabeth that is keeping his brother heart beating. These two have a history and heartache. Will they figure out who is causing the injuries? Will all surviv? Find out what happens next in this must read book. I can’t wait to see what this Author brings us next.

What a brilliant introduction to R.L. Dunn this book has been. Secure Again: A Chase Group Story is an exciting, thrilling read that has danger, mystery, action, suspense and romance, to me some of the best genres a book can have. This book had me on the edge of my seat numerous times throughout and kept me wondering what could happen next. This was addictive read that had me turning the pages, and before I knew it I had finished it. It was a mentally visual read that felt as though you was there alongside the characters. R.L. Dunn not only created an epic storyline, but even better characters that brought this story to life, even more, Dr Elizabeth Reed & Martin Bailey. Elizabeth was a strong, smart & independent and Martin was the perfect male main character, they really did have some great interaction that made their journey in this read even more worthwhile.

I can’t wait to read more books of this series and enjoy more of what this author has to offer. I highly recommend this read!

There is a LOT going on in this story and there are a LOT of characters to keep track of. It took me a little bit to settle in to the story because I was trying to keep track of who is who. I think I was initially lost was because they were introduced with full name AND nickname. I had to get used to the cadence and once I did, I was able to go with the flow of the story.

This is a really well paced thriller that moves along rapidly and appropriately. The main female protagonist is a strong personality who stands up for what she believes in “would you say that to a male doctor?”. She holds true to her values and is willing to put personalities aside to find out the truth.

The story is clearly plotted from beginning to end and stays on point without straying to far into secondary story lines. I did not think there was a lot of filler as it has a very strong beginning, middle and end. I did not read this is one sitting, but if you have the time and attention span, I believe it could be tackled in one day.

Secure Again: A Chase Group Story by R. L. Dunn was a fast pace, action packed read that had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read from this author or in this series, so I was excited to get my hands on this read. Wow, this book hit the ground running, and like the other book in this series it was complex, action packed and super entertaining. I love all the characters, but the MC’s stole the show for me. Elizabeth, strong, sexy, smart. and kickass, she was a powerhouse with a heart of gold. That heart is what gets her into hot water, that could cause her life. Martin was great, not to alphsish, strong, sassy and just a joy to read about. I loved their interactions and the way their second chance romance got under way, even if it was due to unsavory circumstances. The plot was complex, solid and it gets your blood going, and the nerves on high alert. This book has a little bit of everything and it’s a hard must read form me.

To end this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval

Secure Again (A Chase Group Story) by R. L. Dunn

Secure Again is the second novel in this series and can be read as a standalone. It was an amazing novel from start to finish. The storyline was easy to follow and I loved the main characters. Martin and Elizabeth were wonderful to follow. I loved that Elizabeth was a strong female doctor who stood up for herself in her field. She was my favorite person in this novel. I felt the story was addicting and had an excellent climax and romance development. This is such an amazing series and I look forward to more from this author.

Secure Again is the second book in the series A Chase Group Story by R. L. Dunn. This author is becoming on my list of authors to read. Her characters are full of life and that I am relationship with them. I know this is true as my husband keeps asking me why I am having a conversation with Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a trauma surgeon who is asked to help keep Martin alive. There is a past relationship that is surfacing and Elizabeth is wondering what is going on with all of the inmates that are coming in. Martin needs to have Elizabeth to keep him alive but how can she when was heartbreak in their relationship. There is mystery, thriller, and romance in the plot line (which is what makes the book worth reading), I cannot wait to read the next story in the series.

Secure Desire is one action – packed romantic suspense novel. It gives you everything from action, violence, twists and turns, and everything you would want in this genre!

Ian Chase is an Ex Navy SEAL and now head the Chase Group which is a billion dollar security firm. Imagine to his surprise when his brief encounter with a very engaged art historian that he had six years prior suddenly pops back into her life.

Cassiopeia Ellis is no longer engaged and even though she suffers from amnesia, she remembers meeting Ian all those years ago. This is a good thing but it also scares the crap out of her. He has appeared in her life when someone out there wants her dead.

This book had me at the edge of my seat THE WHOLE TIME! It was such a thrilling ride and I can’t wait to dive into book 2!

Secure Again: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn is another winner. It is a thrilling and enticing read that is non stop action from the start to finish. There are so many players it is a wonder that R.L. was able to keep up with them all as it was a little daunting myself but she did a masterful job. of weaving it all together to come out with a story that will have your heart pounding and your emotions on high alert. I really enjoy the Chase Group stories and love their characters. This one was a bit of a hard pill to swallow at the thought of what the evil men and women in this story were doing and I could not wait for their just deserts to be served with a side of whipped cream. It is choc-a-block full of action and danger, secrets and lies, heartache and love.

Dr. Elizabeth Reed is one strong and sassy, independent and beautiful woman but she is heartbroken. She has long suspected that things have not been right with the injuries she sees on some of her patients. When she asks questions she doesn’t realise she is now putting herself in life threatening danger. However, when doing everything she can to save a life, she comes face to face with the one person who shattered her heart.

Martin Bailey is the CEO of Chase Security International, but all that is left behind when he has a family emergency. Whilst waiting for answers he finds himself face to face with the one person who tore his heart out and stomped on it. What he finds when he gets to the hospital will require the whole of Chase Security and then some to bring the monsters to justice.

The book is extremely fast paced and will have you biting nails and on the edge of your seat. Not one to be missed.

Ohhhh my, I just totally adored this book. I was completely sucked into it and couldn’t put it down until I had soon consumed it in one full sitting. Literally, I never even got up to cook supper this book consumed me that much it lead to a fantastic pizza night in our household!

Elizabeth Reed is everything you want to see in a female lead. A strong and fierce force to be reckoned with when it comes to medical integrity, she truly made this book so delicious to read. I Farmer (Martin) Bailey is the type of man that makes you weak in the knees; delicious, strong, protective, and down-right a hot Alpha lead. Elizabeth finds herself questioning the injuries that are coming in with the inmates from the local jail. As a doctor something doesn’t seem right and she is determined to get the the bottom of it. Just as that is heating up she is also faced with the fact that she is keeping the brother of the man she loves alive. These two do not have a pretty past but can they work together and find a beautiful future together? I can’t wait to see what the next book in the Chase Group stories will bring us.

Secure Again by R.L. Dunn is a book that is part of the Chase Group series. The book is interesting and full of twists and turns.
I really enjoyed this book. I always enjoy it when the characters have history like the two MC’s in this book. The author really handled that side of it well. I felt the connection between them instantly and thought that it was completely believable.
I found the book to be gripping as well. It was complex without being over complicated and was enough to keep my guessing all the way through. Well written and great characters this book is definitely one to read.

Secure Again: A Chase Group Story was a great 5 star read.
Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There is so much going on with all the characters.
Elizabeth is a surgeon and Martin is the CEO of Chase Security.

Elizabeth is a very caring person and becomes concerned when she starts seeing patients from the local jail coming in with injuries. When Martin gets called home after his brother has been shot, he finds out that Elizabeth is the one keeping his brother alive. These two have a history that didn’t end well for them.

As the investigation continues on both the shooting and the jail injuries things intensify. Can Chase Security get the answers and solve the mystery? Will Elizabeth and Martin reconnect and have a second chance at a HEA?

Overall I loved this book, I was pulled right in and couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. You get suspense, mystery, romance and so much more. I am really enjoying this series. All of the secondary characters are great. I highly recommend this series.

Elizabeth has to make sure Austin survives. Elizabeth has broken Farmer’s heart years ago so when he realizes she is the Dr keeping her brother alive it brings up bad memories. Secure Desire by R. L. Dunn is from the A Chase Group Series. I was drawn in because Cassiopeia, the main female character, has a history of being an art historian. Also, what a fantastic name. Ian is at the head of a private security firm after serving in Afghanistan. The two had met years before and have been brought back together. Ian will do anything to protect Cassiopeia. I was reading to find out how an art historian had gotten herself into so much danger. I really enjoyed the story and the characters and hope to see more of them in future books. This has a little bit of something for anyone who likes a good suspense book.

Secure Again by R. L. Dunn is the second book in the Chase Group series. Dr. Elizabeth Reed is a surgeon who is seeing some odd things at the hospital where she works. Her past comes back to her in Martin Bailey, whose brother she is treating for a gunshot wound. The two set out in separate investigations but still get drawn back together. This is a good story that is full of suspense, mystery, and romance. I was drawn into the story and wanted to keep reading to find out what was going on for Dr. Reed and Martin’s cases. I liked there were separate stories but they intertwined. I also enjoyed the characters. I look forward to reading more in this series soon.

Secure Again was another great read from R.L. Dunn; the story was as engaging and exciting to read as the first one. There was great mix of mystery and suspense running throughout and I was engaged form beginning to end. I loved that the plot was predictable either; I loved having to guess what is going to happen!! There did seem to be quite a few different characters and it took me a little while to get used to them all but I loved the main characters! I loved Elizabeth! She was a really strong character and a pleasure to read about. I was definitely on the edge of my seat on a few occasions waiting to see if characters would survive and would Elizabeth be able to help them! There were a few twists in the story too which made it even better to read!
Secure Again was a great read, one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and one that I would highly recommend!

I continue to thoroughly enjoy this author and series. A fantastic mix of mystery, suspense, with plenty of heart and emotion. The writer kept me guessing and glued to my seat as I gripped the pages. I couldn’t walk away without finishing the story. Just a solid book with some great characters. Very vivid pictures unfolded as I read and I felt like I was walking along with the main characters. Just really loved it.

The story Secure Again: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn is a thrilling book that will leave you breathless. It had me turning pages and wondering what was going to happen next. There is mystery, action, danger, and romance. I loved reading about the characters of Dr. Elizabeth Reed and Martin “Farmer” Bailey. Elizabeth is an intelligent, strong, independent woman. She is a trauma surgeon who believes that every life is important and works hard to save each and every patient that she operates on. She also has become determined to find out the truth regarding the injuries that inmates from the local jail are being admitted for. Martin is the newly appointed CEO of Chase Security International when he is suddenly called home because his brother Austin has been shot. He finds out that Elizabeth is the one that is keeping Austin’s heart beating. Martin and Elizabeth have a history. A past in which there was heartbreak. The investigations that they have started are on a collision course. Those in Chase Security are trying to solve the mystery. Will they find out who the guilty ones are and bring them to justice? The danger keeps growing. Will all survive? Read this book to find out. This story had me constantly guessing about who was involved and I felt like I was trying to solve a puzzle. There are many characters that are introduced. There are many who help both Elizabeth and Martin. Then there are those with evil agendas that will do anything to make sure that their plans succeed and they are not caught. Will they be exposed? The book is fast paced and will have you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended reading.

This is the second book I have read in this series, I enjoyed it just as much. This is a well written, creative story that left me turning pages and sitting on the edge of my seat a few times. Dr. Elizabeth Reed works in the ER. When a group of inmates start coming in with similar injuries, she starts to question the truth behind them. She is a strong character that is determined and is a no nonsense person. She made the story come to life for me, I highly recommend this book.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn. I love books by R.L. Dunn. She is an amazing author and her books come to life. This is the story of Ex Navy Seal Ian Chase who is now a successful Private Security Guard and FBI Agent Cassiopeia (Cassie) Ellis who met several years ago but Cassie was unavailable because she’s engaged. Sparks flew and when they meet 6 years later sparks are still flying. Chase talks Cassie into going out with him and even though Cassie is single she is not able to emotionally or physically be in a relationship now. Cassie has had a lot of tragedies in her life and she is still dealing with that. When Cassie’s life is at stake because of her past Ian will do all he can to protect her but he will find out what’s she hiding if he’s going to save her. Secure Desire : A Chase Group Story by R. L. Dunn is a romantic suspense story that has a little bit of everything from action ,mystery, lies, deceit,power and money. This is one of those books that is hard to put down once you start reading, I had to know what happens next. Ian Chase is Co-Owner of one of the largest companies in the world with Kieran his brother. Their company The Chase Group covers a little bit of everything from investment to also offering security. Ian is obsessed with a woman he met six years ago. Cassie suffers from amnesia and is being hunted down by enemies over things that happened in the past. Ian is going to protect her no matter what the consequences are.What happens when she is harmed during an assault? Can Ian Protect Cassie? Find out what happens next. Secure Desire has me hooking and sinker. I could not stop reading this magnificently written novel. Cassie is working undercover with her former last name when she is brutally attacked. Ian who had met her earlier on briefly was attracted to her when she showed up at her uncles while he was visiting for security purposes. He realizes how attracted he is to her after a short date before she is attacked. I loved how she fought her emotions and how the attack changed Ian. Cassie’s battle for life in the hospital has me at the edge of my seat. This novel was easy to read and full of excitement. I highly recommend it!

Secure Desire by RL Dunn is a novel belonging to the Chase Group series. This book is fast paced, action packed and a great book to read!
I thought the characters in this book had a great connection between them. They seemed to work really with each other and complimented the other. The story was quite complex, possibly a little too complex at times, but it grabs your attention and does a good job of holding it until the last page. This book is definitely worth your time if this is your genre.

Secure Desire by R. L. Dunn is not your typical romance story. R. L. Dunn wrote characters that were believable and lovable. This story takes you on journey with Chase and Cassie. Be prepared because it is a roller coaster ride but it is worth all the emotions that comes along with the story. Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn. I love books by R.L. Dunn. She is an amazing author and her books come to life. This is the story of Ex Navy Seal Ian Chase who is now a successful Private Security Guard and FBI Agent Cassiopeia (Cassie) Ellis who met several years ago but Cassie was unavailable because she’s engaged. Sparks flew and when they meet 6 years later sparks are still flying. Chase talks Cassie into going out with him and even though Cassie is single she is not able to emotionally or physically be in a relationship now. Cassie has had a lot of tragedies in her life and she is still dealing with that. When Cassie’s life is at stake because of her past Ian will do all he can to protect her but he will find out what’s she hiding if he’s going to save her. I must say I am struggling a tad with exactly where or how I want to place this book on a star scale. I have never had the pleasure of reading anything R.L. Dunn prior to Secure Desire so I was completely new all of her writing style. Dunn has one hell of a knack for detailed writing. While I loved that most of the time I felt like I was right there with the characters and in the moment I could have done without some of it sometimes. It felt a tad heavy. Only because I wanted to get to the the point and found myself several times confused in the novel. There is immaculate research done clearly evident as well, but again, I don’t want to feel as if I am in the History Channel.

Bottom line, I adored the story for what it was, and found myself falling in love with Ian and Cassie quickly. I was invested in them from the get-go and was on the edge of my seat wondering how everything was going to turn out for them in the end. Which I must say was quite unpredictable as well! Another fantastic plus. I look forward to checking out more of the Chase Group Stories and whatever else is available or will be to come from R.L. Dunn.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R. L. Dunn was my first read by this author and I can’t really find any reason to not stalk this authors page to find out when the rest of the series is available. I absolutely loved this book. The characters were strong real men and the they knew how to keep their women safe.

Ian chase is a great main character. He has a chance meeting with Cassie and all the feelings he felt 6 years prior come rushing back. 6 years ago she wore an engagement ring when he met her, and now she doesn’t. He convinces Cassie to go for coffee with him but he doesn’t realize even though Cassie is single, she is very much unavailable.

Cassie is working an assignment with the FBI and is placed at a table with people who are part of her past that she cannot really remember. Well that night, everything come crashing down. Cassie life changes in one horrible night. There are many attempts on her life and with each one, I was on the edge of my seat.
The book had ALOT of characters. Some were known by first name, last name or military nickname so sometimes I had to reread the page to fully understand what I read. This was a dark read when everything is brought up from Cassie’s past and the torture she endured. I’m usually not a fan of dark reads but this was a great read and loved it. I cannot wait for more in this series to get some more of these character!!

Secure Desire : A Chase Group Story

Secure Desire is my first book by R.L. Dunn. While I enjoyed the story I found it didn’t flow nicely all through the book. I got a little confused but that may have been just me. If you like reading books that contains suspense, power, money and some strong characters then this is the book for you. This is about Cassie who has gone through alot in her life and Ian who has a security firm. I liked how the storyline developed with Cassie and Ian, their characters are quite likeable. This book is also a fight between good and bad. This book does have everything you could want in a book and I am sure you will enjoy the story as I did.

In theory, this story is totally my jam… a romantic suspense with action and adventure.

I tried to stick with it, I really did. This is super multi-dimensional story with many many characters and many many details. The timeline is on like week 2 when we are 30% in (this is not am exact figure, it’s just how it felt).

I admit that I got lost in all the detail. We are essentially given the M/Cs CV and portfolio details 3 times by the same people in 3 different conversations. At one point I jumped ahead 50% and the same details were being relayed again.

I was very disconnected from this story and never warmed up to it.

I will say this: Assuming all of the information regarding BUD/S and medicine and art and security companies is factual, the author did an amazing job on research. I always appreciate the hard work an author puts into their craft. Not every book can be my cup of tea.
