This is an author that I have been reading for quite awhile and books that keep getting better with everyone. I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books. They are full of romance that makes her stories hard to put down. This book is no different. This is a well written story about choosing between what your heart desires or becoming rich. You don’t want to miss what happens and what choice is made. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They kept me engaged throughout the story. They are well developed and have great chemistry. This is an easy story to read as well as entertaining. A fast paced, hard to put down story that I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is a historical western, something I don’t normally read. But this story caught my interest. I am happy I took the time to read this one. Christopher and Greta are both in love. Yet they don’t want anybody to know. They fight their feelings for as long as they can. Being in a interracial romance was looked poorly upon. Then add the age gap and the times well it’s a struggle for all. This author has written a story of two unlikely people coming together and fighting all odds. Both the main characters are protective as well as heroes in my book. The story is quick yet complete as well as a great addition to this series. I look forward to starting this series from the beginning to see where the author takes us. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

3.5 Stars The Forlorn Cowboy is another book in The Studs of Clear Creek County Series which is a BWWM interracial romance as well as an historical western. The books in this series are set in the small town of Clear Creek County where sexy cowboys reside and fall in love. All the books are short easy reads but as I have said before I wished that they were longer with more growth they could be great reads. This is Christopher and Greta Fay’s story. He’s down on his luck and broke. His life was heading in one direction that could solve all his problems but that all changes when a sassy, yet troubled beauty comes into the picture and shakes things up. Greta Fay, is a sassy little thing and fights for what she believes in. But can she keep herself safe from the one person who could destroy all she wants and the law? As the blurb says this story has many tropes with an interracial romance, age-gap, western, cowboy, unforbidden love, tortured hero, protective hero, damaged heroine, love triangle, soul mates. It is full of tension, angst and drama, some suspense and romance not to mention cowboys.

The Forlorn Cowboy is the second book in The Studs of Clear Creek County Series by Stacy-Deanne. This is a BWWM (interracial) historical western romance with an age gap, cowboys, forbidden romance, a tormented hero and a damaged heroine, chemistry, angst, drama, emotion, choices, challenges, opposites attract, small town, and finding love unexpectedly. Another very short story from Stacy-Deanne, which made this novella a very quick and easy read. I would have liked to have read a longer version of this, as I think it would have been even better with more detail, depth, and development- which would have allowed me to really immerse myself into the story and connect with the characters more. I do like Stacy- Deanne’s storytelling and am curious to see what the rest of the series holds. This isn’t my typical genre. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I had time to kill during my kids surgery and while not a nice situation it was nice to be able to sit down and read it all at once without feeling rushed or interrupted. The characters were great and the storyline flowed well.

Read this as a stand alone and yes there were some moments where I was a bit confused. However that was only a handful of times, so truly this CAN be read as a standalone. However if you want to know the full in’s and outs – read the previous two books unlike me. This book was overall a good read and had a lot going on. Good vs evil, race issues & discrimination if you would ( gave me Hitler vibes or current day race issues you see in the news :/ ), betrayals, growth, Changes, lots of action, and literally so so much more. This book will suck you in and keep you hooked until you finish it. I hope to read the first two books some day soon so I can get the full background. This is my first book by this author and certainly will not be my last.!

I really enjoyed this book! Not only is it a classic example of good vs evil, but it addresses racial issues from an understanding point of view. Full of magic & action, the main character is such a strong person who always stops to do the right thing. Reading the first two books is necessary because the characters develop throughout the adventure and knowing their backstories is key. I will absolutely be reading this author from now on!

This book delves into racism but with a touch of magic. Shawn, the owner of DNAgen Biolabs, hates people of color. So much so that he made a drug to prevent future colored babies from being born. Being half black himself he is full of self hatred. That tied with ambition, selfishness and power, he quickly goes off the deep end.
Madeline ends up pregnant with Shawn’s baby and it puts a wedge in everything. Shawn tries to convince Madeline to take the drug while also still helping him to kill the circle.
The circle is a group of shops led by a magical group of people. Each shop has their own particular power. Soraya is in charge of managing the people. After the death of previous shop owners orchestrated by Shawn, Soraya is on clean up duty. She has to find apprentices for the empty shops while trying to protect the living.
Can they band together and stop Shawn before more die? What about the drug? Read to find out! You will not be disappointed.
Although the book is technically the 3rd book in the series, it was fine to read without reading the previous books. The book went into enough details to explain what is going on and who is who.

Brenda Hardwick’s Freedom Rings is the third book to The Circle fantasy series. I cannot say that I have read the two previous books beforehand. However, I am definitely intrigued to do so after reading this book to get the full scope. I was still able to follow along well enough and was completely enamored by the storyline and most of the main characters, even if there were a few gaps for me. I especially adored Soraya, with whom we get to share her journey of growth in power and leadership and fight against this hatred of people of color.
I absolutely recommend checking out this series if you are at all intrigued by witches and magic, good and evil. The writing was fantastic, with a strong and descriptive narrative. So, if you’re a fantasy fan, don’t deprive yourself! Check out The Circle series by Brenda Hardwick!

This story was incredibly fast paced with enough items to keep your flipping the pages to the end. Full of amazing characters, a great plot, and of course good vs. evil, this book was the perfect way to end a trilogy. One of my favorite things about this story is that it is told from multiple povs, having multiple povs really gives you the book as a whole. But this book was such a perfect ending to a trilogy that if you haven’t read the whole trilogy I not only recommend book three but I definitely recommend books one and two as well.

This is book three in the fantasy series by this author. I have fallen in love with this series and could not wait to get my hands on this book. While these can be read as stand-alone stories, I feel to get the most of it you need to read the books in order. I think this will give you a better understanding of the story and the characters. Now, just as with the previous two books the author did a wonderful job pulling me into the story with her amazing characters. I feel like she personally connects with these characters just as I did. She does a wonderful job of making these characters so relatable and understanding. And the way that she uses them to tell this story is wonderful. Another remarkable story that I could not put down.

When I started reading this book, I did not realize it was part of a trilogy, so I had not read the first two books. Despite that I found the book easy to follow and was able to read it without feeling like I had missed something. The story was unique, the storyline was entertaining, and the characters were relatable and lovable. I was especially intrigued by how the characters were able to walk the Dream Plain. I will definitely go back and read the first two books in the series and then read this book again.

This last book in the Circle Book series, Freedom Rings, tells of the continuation of the story from the attempted murders of the Elders, a band of followers, the Circle, led by Soraya so they are ready to defend themselves when the time comes. At the same time, Soraya discovers and strengthens her special abilities while leading her team. Meanwhile, Shawn Kites, the CEO and owner of DNAgen Biolabs, is wanting to release a pill, Melacrit, across the world in order to eradicate races of colors. There is also the High Priestess Madeline who is pregnant with her son and the next heir, which is another plan of Kites to destroy along the way. Such a great story with testing of friendships, seeking a better future, discovering new abilities and much more. Unfortunately, I did not read the first 2 books, which is helpful in fully understanding the gist of this story. The concept and storytelling is great. Hardwick focuses on the nature of races, which I think many people can benefit from. In moments of tragedy and change, regardless of our color, background, or origins, it is always best to band together and put aside our differences.

I read this book without reading the first two stories, so some pieces of the story were missing for me, but it was easy enough to catch onto the important parts. It’s important to note that the story was told in multiple POV’s, which helped me understand each of the characters a little more. I really enjoyed this tale, especially the author’s world-building and attention to detail! This book was easy to read and completely entertaining, especially since this is the first book I’ve read from this author (and I’ll be looking for more from them for sure). I definitely recommend reading the other books before diving into this one!

Freedom Rings (The Circle Book 3) by Brenda Hardwick. I have loved this series but you do need to read the previous books to fully understand this book. Its a great series after the attempted murder of the Elders and Soraya has had to lead The Circle. She is trying to build a good team that will fight the prejudice of people with different skin colors! Soraya is a very fierce, independent and strong fighter so she usually gets done what’s needs to be done. The action in this book will keep you flipping pages as fast as you can. The book is filled with magic, murder, destruction and good vs evil. I have loved this series and its usually not my favorite genre but I have looked forward to each and everyone of these books. Do yourself a favor and read this book after you’ve read the other two!

If i had anything to say its read the first books in the series. I am silly and did not so i did feel a little lost at times but I LOVED this book. Gave me some slight city of bones vibes and it was just a thrilling exciting book to read! This genre of books is always one thats so underrated to me and i always walk away do satisfied with the read! This story was so great! It was the perfect escape from a seriously hectic time! The characters had chemistry that you really felt and the dynamic they had was addictive. Author writes a great story that keeps you on your toes and never bored! The forbidden fruit aspect of the tale really put the cherry on top!

Very good fantasy book by a new author to me! This is my first book that I have read, and while I struggled a bit due to this being book # 3 in the series to pick up, this ended up overall a great book. I am definitely going to circle back and start this series from the beginning to get the full story of characters.
This story is magical, unique powers but also touches on race and betrayal for sure. I couldn’t possibly imagine wanting to destroy someone or vice versa due to the color of their skin…..the author does such a great job on this.
Soraya is the leader of “The Circle”….trying to plan and keep everyone safe….especially from the likes of Shawn Kites who owns DNAgen Biolab and has so much hate over his heritage. Will Soraya be able to keep The Circle safe?

I was excited to read an original story so deeply described about a new world of fantasy. I would recommend catching the first two books first, as there were a few parts within the book that I felt kind of left out on. It is my plan to read the first two books and then come back and try this one again. In the book, our main character, Soraya, is pushed into the leadership position to fight against the CEO of the company DNAgen Biolabs. She is the lead in The Circle, and must fight the CEO from making this pill that will eliminate particular people from the world. She is fighting evil magic, and it is a very action packed book. I felt like with each additional character in the story, the story got better and better. I highly recommend starting from the beginning, as I want to know more about Soraya’s beginnings! The author does a really great job of writing an in depth story line. Enjoy!

Freedom Rings by Brenda Hardwick is the 3rd book in The Circle book series. I advise reading the first 2 books first. This story is a nicely written good versus evil story that beautifully touches on modern-day issues in a fantasy-type setting. Soroya is the new leader of The Circle. She is bringing the group back together with a plan to take them on the offensive in a world where people are being targeted for removal because of the color of their skin. I really enjoyed this story. It has multiple point-of-views which I usually dislike, but which worked beautifully in this story. The characters are well-written and Shawn and his company are very good antagonists. This book grabs hold of you and does not let go until the very end.

This was a really good read, I have to admit I wasn’t too sure when I read the synopsis if I would enjoy it but I really did. The authors attention to detail really gave the story that extra depth to it. The characters were really unique and interesting to read about. I really like Soraya, she was a great female lead! I have to say that I read this as a standalone so it took me a little bit to understand what was going on and I would definitely like to read the first two books in the series however it didn’t have a real negative impact on my enjoyment of the story at all. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more book from this author in the future.

This a wonderful magical book. It is very well written. It has very real life problems but spun in a different way. I love how the characters deal with these real life issues and how it shows people can be redeemable. I can’t wait to read the other books.

This was an interesting book especially since I read this one without reading the first two books in the series so to say I was confused when it came to the backstories is an understatement. I still pushed through the book and tried my best to understand what was going on. The book itself was entertaining, but I still plan to go back and read the previous two books, and most likely read this one again just to make it all make sense! From what I gathered from how the book was written, the book focuses on Soraya who is now in charge of leading The Circle. She finds herself in quite a bit of situations of having to go and save people, replace those that were lost, and strengthen the ones that she still has. There is a lot going on with magic, a good vs evil point of view, people being removed from the land due to the color of their skin, broken relationships, and so much more. The characters are very well thought out and entertaining and you may find yourself relating to a character or two in this story. It’s hard to put down this book but, as I previously mentioned, it would be extremely beneficial to read the previous books before indulging yourself into this book!

Freedom Rings is the third and final book in The Circle Series and I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already as they give a better understanding of what has happened and you get to know the characters better plus they are just as good as this one. The authors style of writing blows me away and her characters are real, relatable and fully developed plus they bring the story to life and made me feel like I was apart of the story. Get ready for a ride like no other as secrets are revealed and friendships are tested while lives are at stake. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. This is one you don’t want to miss. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is the third book in the series which I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series first. This will help with your enjoyment of the characters and know where they come from to where they are going in this book. This is a well written story where the author used her writing skills to bring the story to life. The characters gave the story a realistic feel as well as brought the story to life. I enjoyed how they pulled me into their world from the start. They are connectable and keep the story engaging. This is a fast paced story about friendship, betrayals and secrets. This is a series you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

Fantastic writing, great storytelling and a real gem of a book!
The main character, Soraya is a well rounded character who has yet to tap into her full potential. In this book she heads up the investigation into the killing of the Elders. She finds herself in a pickle when using her new found leadership skills while dealing with the Circle, only to find an antagonist is waiting to try their hand at leadership.
The need to unite together may take some convincing but can they survive without it!? The power struggle is real and creates a lot of drama and action in this book which is fitting for the finale of this trilogy.
I think readers will become true fans after reading this book, no matter if they’ve read the previous titles in this trilogy. The author’s brilliant talent shines throughout this story.
