True Colors (The Colors Trilogy Book #3) by K.R. Raye – Review by Angela Hayes

True Colors is the third and final instalment in the Colors Trilogy by K.R. Raye. As with the other two books in this series, this is a contemporary New Adult story with romance, emotion, challenges, friendship, drama, angst, and humour.
As this is the conclusion to the series, I highly recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one- as knowing what happened previously will help you to better understand the characters, and their motivations- while also providing important backstory/storyline information (etc) that will definitely enhance you reading experience of this instalment (and the series as a whole).
Imani, Melody, and Lance have been through quite a lot since the beginning of the series. Together they have faced some serious challenges as they navigated their way through life. Their friendship was tested, and cracks opened up. In this book they are working at rebuilding their bonds, but it’s not quite that simple. We follow all the highs and lows and what happens makes for a great read, and is a fitting conclusion to the series…
Happy Reading!

Thank you, K.R. Raye!

This book had me in my feelings while reading. And I love it! I was taken on an emotional journey. So many ups and downs. I felt this book spoke to me personally. Such a great way to end the series. The author knew exactly what they were doing to keep you wanting more until the end.

The Lonely Hearts of San Sity by Stacy-Deanne is a story of love found in a small town. While scouting for talent for her upcoming reality show Jules meets Mitchel and thinks he is just what the show needs. Unfortunately for her, Mitchel wants nothing to do with the show or her. This story is a quick fun read. I really enjoyed watching Jules and Mitchel warm up to each other. There was good chemistry. I think there was room for more fleshing out of the story. It was over way too quickly but it was very enjoyable!

Each book in this series seems to get better and better. I found it so easy to slip straight back into this world, as if I had just carried on reading. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order as each book is a continuation and you would miss out on a lot of details.
I love the way the author is building up these stories over the course of the series. It feels like she is building toward something and I can’t wait to see what that could be. I enjoy these characters each time I read about them. I feel like, with each book, we get pulled more and more into their journey. This is another great addition to this series and I can’t wait to see what is next.

This is a good enemies to lovers romance, with two characters that have a great chemistry between them. This is quite a short book, making it pretty easy to read. It doesn’t take long to get into the story and it the steady flow carries you along. For me this book was all about the characters. They had a great chemistry right from the start and I found the two of them to be entertaining.
I think the story itself would have benefited from a bit more detail, however I still found it to be enjoyable. This is a great book for one of those lazy, reading afternoons.

This is book 2 in the Vigilant Series. I would highly recommend reading these books in order so you get the full understanding of the characters and the story. You definately need to read Unbreakable Darkness which is the book before this one and the start of Dex story.
After find out in the previous book that his whole life is a lie he now has to fight to find a way to escape the people who don’t want him free and to live life on his own terms.
Along the way he will face life changing dangers and discover some things he never knew. With friends old and new showing up it becomes hard for Dex to know who he can trust and who is going to be against him.
This story is full of mystery, danger and feelings of teenage angst that keeps the story moving at a fast pace. The way the author leaves the story sets it up perfectly for the next book and I can’t wait to read it.

A sweet novella with a city girl and a hot cowboy! I love this author and the way she transports us into her world with her characters each book.
Jules and Mitchel were opposites attract in the best way. This book gave steamy chemistry, charm, humor, love, and the message of love where you least expect it. I liked the push and pull with Jules and Mitchel and watching them come together pushing down obstacles. Short but sweet and definitely a book to read again.

Whew, this is Dex’s version of the paranormal mystery series of the Vigilants. This is one series that you want to read in order. Dex is in it deep in this one. With the help of some new and some old friends, he ends up on an adventure to find answers. Mystery, drama, and the paranormal make for one of the best YA paranormal series you’ll find out there. I picture it as a contemporary take on the battle for good and evil. Even as an adult, I eagerly wait for each new book this author puts out. Her writing is fresh, new and relevant. The characters all have personalities that are relatable. The athletes, though paranormal, sound like some of the jocks I knew in high school. Go ahead, you know you want to read this one. Jules is looking for just the right cowboy to star in her upcoming Dating Show. Mitchel is hot, hot, hot, but will not, not, Not be any part of the show or anything to do with T.V. Thing is while these two bicker and fight each other off. They are very much attracted to each other. So what do you think will happen with these two enemies? Or will they become lovers? The author has written this fast paced, steamy, story, and done it well. The characters at times are so funny and at other times they are hot and steamy. This is a must read for those 18 and older.

This action packed YA fantasy is book two in the series and it is by far the best one yet. This book is once again told from Dex’s point of view so if you haven’t read book one or book 1.5 then I would recommend reading those two first. But this book really is the best of the series it’s full of action, tension, betrayal, magic and so much more that it will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. So if you want a good new series to read make sure you run out and pick this one up today.

Jules ends up in small town San Sity talent scouting for a reality dating show that will be filmed in the town. Majority of the towns interesting characters think they have what it takes to be on the show but Jules sets her sites on hunky rancher Mitchel who wants absolutely nothing to do with the show. There is something between them that both try to deny and fight (and fight with each other) at every turn. Will they overcome their differences and fears to be together?
The character development on the main characters was really quick and not very good on the auxiliary characters in my opinion Like I would have liked some more on Jules assistant and Mitchel’s aunt. But it was a cute story and an easy fun read.

This is a short BWWM, enemies to lovers romance novel. Like most novels I’ve read by this author it is short in length at only 138 pages. I felt that there was so much scope to make this a much longer book. In parts it felt rushed and I think the author has missed a great chance to have added much more ‘meat to the bones’ of the story.
I did enjoy Mitchel and Jules’ story. I really liked Mitchel’s character but have to admit that I found Jules very selfish and self centred at times and would have liked o give her a slap on the head to make her see how she was acting.
I feel that so much more could have been written about the TV show that Jules and her friend were in town to scout for. I would have liked to read more about that.
The story that is there is enjoyable to read. I just wish we had got more of it.

In this final installment of the trilogy, we see the friend group tested more as they experience the joys and sorrows of life. Imani now must cope with her own tragedy when she loses the love of her life. Melody is trying to support Imani and her fiancé, who was good friends with Marco. She calls on Lance, who is re-entering the group after a period of separation. I love how the characters are strong and independent on their own, but able to also lean on each other when life throws difficult times their way. Everyone could use an Imani, Melody, and Lance in their lives!

The Colors of Love was the first book that I have read by this author. I love that she tells a story in a way that is believable to what happens in real life. Not all the parts of the story have happy endings. Mainly follows the different relationships of a trio of friends. The group experiences a tragedy in the first few pages. Melody is left especially damaged from this event. Her best friends Imani and Lance try to love her the best they can. Lance is a college football star who is known as the campus playboy who doesn’t have long-term relationships. Melody struggles with commitment after abuse. Imani is focused on being happy, but sometimes that means making choices that were not a part of her plans. This book has a mix of different situations that young adults can experience.

This was a great 5 star enemies to lovers read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down.
Jules is working on a reality dating show and goes to San Sity to find what she is looking for. She sees Mitchel and wants him to do her show. Mitchel was not interested at all, will Jules be able to convince him to do the show? What happens when the sparks fly between them?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. I really like the characters, you could feel their connection coming off the pages. The author does a great job with her writing and it pulls you right in. Watching the characters relationship grow throughout the book was great. I want a cowboy, lol. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

I REALLY wanted to like this but sadly I could not. The idea of the story was a good one but nothing was ever done with it. No movement on the reality tv show at all. Then the way the story read was almost like a teenager wrote it. There is a lot of childish antics between the two main characters as well as a lot of name calling. I honestly felt like I was read an episode of the Kardashians. The male lead is mid thirties and I just can not see someone of that age who runs a ranch and has a lot of responsibility acting like this character did.

I am sorry to the author. I have read other stories by her and they were likable. I wish this would have expanded on the main storyline and not been so focused on the two main characters.

Jules is a talent scout for a reality tv show producer. She has been sent to this small town to start finding local talent for the show. Jules and her assistant slash best friend meet some interesting locals. Jules finds the area more and more appealing until she meets the local hunk, the one person in town that wants nothing to do with her or her show.

Mitchel is a quiet rancher. He is aware that the reality tv scout is in town because his aunt, who raised him, talks of nothing else. When Mitchel runs into the scout, he falls instantly for this woman that is way out of his class, but can’t seem to keep his foot out of his mouth around her. Why can’t she understand that he wants nothing to do with her show? Why can’t she and the rest of the world just let him be a rancher, that is all he wants.

The chemistry between Jules and Mitchel is explosive and palpable. As they try to navigate this insta-love/hate spark into something more, Mitchel’s past comes back to haunt him. The author keeps the emotions high when it comes to this unlikely pair. A steamy short read!

I really enjoyed this enemies to lover romance. It is a very short quick read but that doesn’t change the enjoyment and the story doesn’t feel like it’s unfinished with it being so short. The characters were really engaging. Their dynamic is interesting to witness and even though their interactions point to them hating each other as a reader you can see through that to the burning attraction underneath.

Jules is a talent scout who turns up to San Sity to find new people for their reality TV show. As soon as she sets eyes on Mitchel she knows she wants him. Not just on the show but in her life.

Mitchel, however wants nothing to do with her or so he says. And he proves this in his interactions with her. Every conversation turns into an argument. Mitchel has had his heart broken in the past and the walls he’s built up are impenetrable. That is until he meets Jules.

Together they know there is an attraction there however both are too stubborn to make a move and so they end up fighting constantly. What they dont realise until its too late, is that all their fighting has only stoked the fire of their desire making this couple a very explosive parts

This is another smash hit from Stacy-Deanne!! I love enemies to lover books and this one was such a fun lighthearted read that made it near impossible to put down. It is about a girl names Jules who is a talent scout for an upcoming reality dating show. She is a spit fire with a strong personality who does not take no for an answer. When she spots Mitchel, she is completely mesmerized and is insistent that he be a part of the show. Their chemistry is undeniable and scorches the pages of the book. I absolutely loved this book and their love story and well as their backstories showing why they are the way they are. I cannot wait to read more from this author!!

Talent scout Jules arrives in San Sity, Florida to find talent for a reality dating show. She finds she is given a lot of input by the locals who have their ideas who should be on the show. One of those is Mitchel Scott a local rancher who makes his opinion known. The only problem is that Jules is not giving up and each interaction with one another has them both falling for each other, can their pride stand in the way though?

This was a fun romance. You are thrown in right away with Jules and the characters. Enjoyed quite a few of the side characters, they brought humor to the story. Good chemistry, entertaining read.

A reality TV dating show is heading to a country town! And we all love a cowboy right? Even a city girl can’t contain herself. Mitchel may have the good looks but he’s moody and grumpy. So he wants you to think. Really he can’t keep the talent scout, Jules, off of his mind! but mitchel has been through some things and it’s hard for him to open up! he also isn’t into the whole famous/TV gig, so he wants no part of it! But Jules INSISTS him being apart of the show! Does he cave in? 🤷🏽‍♀️ does Jules and Mitchel finally get along? Can they put their pride aside for eachother? Super quick read! And the spice was my favorite part of the book! 🥵 Great characters and I loved the plot.

This is a new author I haven’t read before. I wasn’t really sure how I was going to feel about this book because usually the cover grabs me. This one didn’t but it was a romance book So I gave it a shot.
I’m glad I read this book because it was a very good read. The pages flowed, I loved the chemistry and the fighting between two of the main characters.
San Sity is a small town where everyone knows everyone. Mitchel Scott is a farmer who was raised by his dad and his aunt. His wife cheated on him multiple times and he always took her back. He didn’t like
Anyone talking bad about her until one day when something snaps and he decides he’s done with her.
Mitchel and Jules don’t get off on the right foot but quickly become closer and then Katie shows up again trying to get Mitchel to take her back again!
I thought this was a great read, loved the characters.

The Lonely Hearts of San Sity by Stacy-Deanne is a contemporary western romance with an opposites attract/enemies to lovers element, cowboys, drama, BWWM/interracial romance, chemistry, steam, finding love unexpectedly, challenges, humour, banter, and a small town setting.
What do you get when you mix a Hollywood talent scout, a down-to-earth rancher, a small country town, and a reality television dating show? Well firstly, you get plenty of sparks, that’s for sure….
This is a very short story, which made for a very quick and easy read. I would have liked this story to have been longer as I think I would have enjoyed even more detail, depth, and development and allowed me to really sink my teeth into the story. As it is, this makes for a fun read….
Happy reading!

The Lonely Hearts of San Sity is a quick and easy read and is not your usual enemies-to-lovers romance tale. They say there is a thin line between hate and love.

Set in a small town there are those who think they know best. It is these quirky characters that gave the story some humour that had me laughing and giving our protagonist a run for her money. Gotta love small towns.

With an eager talent scout and a reluctant sexy cowboy, you are in for a ride. There is lots of sex appeal and chemistry between Mitch and Jules but is their antagonism too much to see past?

This fun read is a nice escape for an afternoon read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this enemies to lovers, cowboy romance set in a small ranch town named San Sity, in Florida. Hollywood talent scout Jules turns up in San Sity to scout talent for an upcoming reality dating show to be filmed there. One man, a hunky cowboy, Mitchel Scott catches her eye, and Jules decides to convince him that he’s the ‘spark’ needed to make the show a big hit. However, the no nonsense, blunt, rough, rancher wants nothing to do with either Jules or the dating show. At least, that’s what he claims, and what Jules believes, and they continue to fight each other, over everything. Neither Jules or Mitchel are prepared when their growing animosity actually turns into love. The chemistry between Jules and Mitchel sizzled off the page, and I was hoping they would get their HEA. The setting really came to life through the descriptive narrative, and made me feel immersed in the story. I loved the main characters, and liked how Jules and Mitchell’s relationship changed and developed throughout the story. The small town feel really came across in the narrative. The storyline had me hooked, and I was happily turning the pages of this enjoyable and engaging read.

I always enjoy all works by this talented author. What they write and create, always seems to pull me in and hold me till the very end. I enjoyed this book. it had fame, romance, passion, and all that I love!

I love the writing as always. This one had a good build up of heat and steam I found. Jules and Mitchel were not rushed into what they were feeling, it came with time, and those feelings that came, really came with the whole fire work show! I loved their interactions together, even if it was rather bumpy at first meet, by the end of it all it had blossomed into something more, that I believe neither of them wanted or suspected at first meet. I always love the humor the author puts into the stories as well, this one was no different. Great main characters and great contribution of side characters as well Really enjoyed it! A great read!

This story is very entertaining from the start as the drama between Harlow and her friends really stirs up the controversy of the book giving it even more depth. As the story with the mysterious sword begins to build, Harlow embarks on what ends up being a failed vacation with Caspian, and is once again in trouble! It’s amazing what she goes through in this story. I’m thirsty for more from the author and will get into her other book series as well!

This is one of those books that ends up making you smile. The chemistry between Jules and Mitchel is classic. I found myself laughing because they have it so bad. “I wanna have his baby.” is a classic line that Jules said. I am a fan of this author. Her writing is contemporary and fresh. The plot of casting a reality show in this small town is quite refreshing and full of quirky characters. The characters are off the charts. They would fit this insane town I live in. I love how the older people are coming out to audition to be on the dating show. This is one of the most refreshing romances I’ve read this year. I highly recommend you read this one.
