I did a binge read of this series. I started out of order of course by reading this book which is book 5, but loved it soo much I went back to get the full read. This author is crazy talented, and I am so happy to have stumbled upon her. Miles and Bella are the main characters and they are quite the power couple. They are newlyweds are still very much in love, and have a deep belief in a strong family bond. As they navigate married life and business there are many things around that are creating a bit of havoc. Power struggles in the studio as well as with competitors around truly up the stress and tension between them. This story manages to entwine mystery, romance, drama, and the paranormal giving you the best of all the worlds.

This book can be read as a standalone, but I read it with the rest of the set and I recommend reading them all. Third book to this Moore Family Saga. Miles Moore (son of Cade and Lecia from book 1 & 2) is all grown up (26) and still obsessed with fire. Ari (aka Miles) is a famous international hip-hop performer who uses fire in his show. It’s in his genes after all. He loves all the things that come with fame like cars, travel, women, and of course all the money. But life on the road away from his large family and the death threats he could do without. When a woman (Bella) who is afraid of fire joins his marketing team he thinks she’s the last person he’d be attracted too and names her Ice Queen. The banter between the characters and their growth throughout the books is wonderful. Can Ari get past his own thoughts and follow his gut? Will fire burn his world to the ground? I really enjoyed this book. I am excited to finish the last two in the saga!

This book was good but I think it caught me at a bad time. I felt a bit of a disconnect when I started on this book. Everything about this screamed keep reading and I’m glad I did. Luckily I read this saga backwards so I did enjoy it but I think I ruined the hype by not reading in order. Miles is officially my go to man candy. This is a book of desire and lust and steam and this author is the way to go. She has a way with this couple that just built and built. What would you do if you saw your crush naked?! This was one of the best of the series worth the binge. I don’t know how to explain this. A favorite that’s all. Five stars not to shabby.

OMG These books get better and better. Where had the author been my entire life. I read this book in once sitting and it’s official I love African American romance. I feel like a part of the relationship. So let me tell you, these couples that this author writes about makes me cry laugh and scream. I feel like I need a break but there is more and I need it all. Amazing is an understatement each book I read gets better and better. I did feel like in the middle it dragged just a bit but it’s worth it to keep reading. Everything by this author needs to be recommended. This is a part of my official collection and it all should be a buddy read. Love this, can’t wait for more.

This is the type of book I needed. This was beautiful. It gave me all the sexy feels. I honestly love this authors way of words, so descriptive. This gets you hot and heavy but romancing in the same. This one started out slow for me and took me a minute to get into. Once you do get into the suspenseful action twist you just can’t wait to see what happens next. Cade and Lecia are dealing with many dynamics throughout their young married life. Family, jealousy, EX’s, love, hate, and a baby on the way pave a rough path for these two as they try to start their new lives. When a few events happen that threaten their unborn child they must lean on their strong family bonds and work through the emotional roller coaster of sacrifices, forgiveness, jealousy, and faith. Will Cade and Lecia work through their many problems and come together to save their child? Will jealousy and hatred rip them apart before they can even start their family? This author builds the characters so well and has them work through some things that many couples in real life must face. Can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the saga!!

Oh well this was refreshing. This was an easy read so entertaining. I loved the plot to this story the suspense and romance was amazingly written. I loved the character development that it’s a future story. This should be a standalone because even though it had the same story line and characters as the rest of the series this seemed more like a past story then six weeks later. This wasn’t as good as book four or three but this author has a way with words. It’s great to know that the story goes on with the main character. I really enjoyed this overall.

It just keeps getting better; this is the second novel I’ve read written by this author, and she did not disappoint. The characters are relatable and their development commendable, and she weaves compelling elements throughout the storyline. I find this novel to be intriguing, original and a page-turner. I love a book that you are new to the author and you fall in love with the first book you read and are already hooked! This story has different elements….. family, suspense, mystery, fame, family but with a twist of paranormal wrapped in. Bella and Miles run a Music business and are very successful along with raising their family. Love is tested in this story…and we learn Miles also has a “gift” that is also passed down to their children. Can Miles and Bella’s love survive? Definitely read to find out.
I know I definitely want to go back now and read the series from the beginning. What a great book!

We take a step forward from Cade and Lecia to dive into Miles’ life- his career of following in his father’s footsteps when Mile’s studio hires a new marketing manager; someone completely opposite of what he normally looks for in a woman. While the author’s first two books have a lot of spice in them, this is a nice, slow burn of a romance. It was interesting to see Miles’ all grown up, and to see him find a love like his parents.

This book was the first book I’ve read from this author, and it wasn’t bad. It was pretty good, and started to delve into the story of newly-weds Kaiden and Lecia, as they find out that Lecia is pregnant from the honeymoon. Through the stress of their careers, and of the tragedy around them, they struggle to find ways to hold on to each other. In the end, their family is happy, and everything is as it should be.

While it took me a long while to get into this one, Michele Sims did deliver with good character building and great attention to detail. I believe that I would have grasped this book a little better had I read the previous books in the Moore Family Saga, although the information states it can be read as a standalone. I just felt like I was missing some crucial information when I read Face the Fire. I did enjoy the elements included that involved the ups and downs of managing various artists in the music business. It seems like a business that very few are truly cut out for. Couple those ups and downs with the paranormal aspect in the lives of Miles and Bella and you have a pretty entertaining book. Although this was not a favorite of mine, it was still a good story and I look forward to reading more from Michele Sims.

This series locked me in from the very beginning. I love the world that Sims created with the Moore family and I have loved reading the character and storyline development. It has a great balance between romance, suspense, a sprinkle of fantasy, and just great connection. I love that it all ties back to family. Just a great addition to the series and a great way to pull it all together. It can be read alone but is one that you will more greatly appreciate by starting at the beginning. This paranormal suspense novel is the fifth book in the series and as someone who has not read the other book, you will not be disappointed. I am a big fan of the paranormal genre and at first I found that there seemed to be very little of it but things quickly heated up.
Miles and Bella Moore are newly married and have just had twins. He is a goal driven music executive and Bella is his chief marketing office for the company. But as usually happens, success comes with a price.
I loved the dynamic between all of the characters and the drama that unfolded throughout. I look forward to more books from this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series of the Moore family saga. Each book builds up from the previous one, we learn more about the characters, and follow them through several tense moments. In Book 5 the plot thickens and the danger level intensifies. Bella and Miles are caught in a volatile and explosive situation that could mean the end for them in more ways than one. Although each book could be read as a standalone it is much better as a series read in sequential order and starting with Book 1. I highly recommend this series and this author!

A Moore Affair is book four in the Moore Family Sega series of books. Bella and Miles are together at last and are getting ready to get married. Bella feels ecstatic to be marrying the man that she loves beyond everything but at the same time can’t help but wonder if she’s ready to be the wife of someone so famous. Along with Miles’ fame comes not only the whirlwind tours but a fan base that that can be downright frightening at times. However, Bella chooses to put all her fear and doubts aside and makes the best of it because she is surrounded by her family.
After their wedding, Miles and Bella decide to honeymoon in Paris and Italy. Of course, the relationship between Miles and Bella can never come easy as there’s always someone or something on the outside that is trying to tear them apart. Bella knows that she loves Miles with all her heart but she’s not sure if she can overcome her doubts, fears, and insecurities. Will she be able to overcome the secrets that she unfolds and move forward with her relationship with Miles?
Book four answers more of the questions from the first few books and builds on the story of Miles and Bella. The characters of Bella and Miles were real, raw, and believable. They went through trials and tribulations that put their relationship to the test and as in any relationship they had to decide if they could survive the tests and be strong enough as a couple to endure it and come out stronger on the other side. The book did not disappoint as the Moore Family Sega unfolded. Although this book could possibly be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with book 1 and working your way through the series. Each book starts off where the last one left off and unfolds more of the Moore Family Saga. Enjoyable read, I highly recommend!

His whole life Miles has had to learn about the death threats against him due to his affliction but now there are also death threats against him due to his fame and fortune. On the plus side he’s making a lot of money, he can have any woman he wants, and he can travel wherever he wants. Life is good and the whole world is his oyster.
When Bella joins Miles team as the Chief of Marketing she is everything that he despises in a woman. She is too professional and uptight for his liking, so he mocks her every chance he gets and refers to her as the Ice Queen. Bella only wants to maintain a professional relationship with Miles but can’t help but find herself attracted to him, an attraction that she tries to deny. Miles also wants to keep things on a professional basis and knows that there could never be a relationship between them, yet for some unknown reason he finds himself attracted to Bella. Although Miles can have any woman, he wants due to his fame as an artist he finds something about Bella that is irresistible and can’t stop thinking about her. Bella finds herself thinking about Miles as well, but she knows what a womanizer he is and has no intention of following through with her attraction to him.
As the Chief of Marketing for Miles’ company Bella does not like Miles using fire during his concerts. Bella is unaware of Miles’ affliction and his ability to create fire so can’t understand his morbid obsession with the use of fire during his concerts and tours and attempts to get him to stop using it. This is not just due to the potential risks involved around the use of fire but because on a personal level Bella has a deep-seated fear of fire stemming back to her childhood. This is something where Miles and Bella disagree, and it instantly puts a wedge between them seemingly ruining any chance of them ever following through with their mutual attraction or having a relationship.
I loved this book as much, or even more so, than the first two books in the series. Both the characters and the storyline were very believable, with possibly the exception of the ability to create fire out of thin air. However, it was nice to become absorbed in Miles and his world of fire and his life as a famous Hip Hop Artist. I loved learning more about Miles and getting to know more of him as a character; one that showed different sides of his personality based on whether he was the Hip Hop Artist Ari, or whether he was Miles. Going through the ups and downs of having fame and fortune while also trying to maintain a private life is something that I’m sure every famous person has had to deal with. The author does a great job of showing the readers the struggle between a public image and a private life that most famous musicians must struggle with. This was another great read! Now onto Book 4!

I have enjoyed reading this series from the beginning. This book was no different. I love how the author can grab my attention from the first chapter and keep me intrigued until the end. She can keep you on the edge of your seat with her suspenseful writing but adds the right amount of romance at just the right time. I love it. I am also a huge lover of paranormal genres, so this has all the things I read. I don’t think you would technically need to read the previous books for understanding as it can be read stand alone. However, I think that you will get more enjoyment out of the entire series and would recommend reading them all.

Wedding Bells!! I’m so excited for these characters to get married in A Moore Affair. With the constant looking over their shoulder to stay safe, I’m so excited for Miles and Bella to be getting married. The way these two have grown individually, as well as together, I absolutely love! Married in Scotland! A Honeymoon in Paris! What more could a girl ask for?!? This book also has its Moore Family Saga drama, but you are going to have to read to find out. I will say this, I encourage one to read all the books, however. For this part of the Saga book 3 kind of starts it all over again as if it were new. Miles is definitely my favorite character across this saga, and I hope book 5 is more of his story and growth!

Okay now I’m more into this Saga! In The Fire God Tour we find Miles, now 26, living his life as a hip-hop artist with proclivity for pyrotechnics. I really didn’t care for how his mom, Lecia, was written and I’m glad this is now his story, vs Lecia and Cade. I enjoy Miles’ character and love how he has grown. Introducing Bella was definitely a nice touch and seeing how Miles and her not only interacted but grew together as characters kept me reading and not wanting to put the book down. Of course this wouldn’t be a Moore Family Saga without a little drama. Someone is out for Miles’ life in this go round.I really look forward to diving into book 4!@placexba View all my reviews
