A beautifully illustrated book about a toddler learning about animals! Kingston loves his walks with his mom, especially when he sees a dog. Then he learns that not every furry creature with four legs is a dog. Ms. Harris has written a story that helps parents to teach their young children about the world around them. This would be a great book for the bookshelf of any new parent!

Wondogfilled: Look, A Dog! Is a children’s picture book designed for children between the ages of newborn to eight years old. The story centers around the wonderful dog filled world of a young boy named Kingston who loves dogs. Whenever Kingston and his mom go for a walk, she points out different types of dogs to him and explains what kind of dog they are. When she starts pointing out other types of animals and explaining what they are, Kingston still tries to say they are dogs. Kingston’s mom tries to teach him that animals like cats and squirrels are different, but he still believes it is just another type of dog. This was a wonderfully written book full of bright, colorful illustrations that would delight any child.

Beautifully illustrated. Kingston and his mom go for walks and see all the dogs. Mom points out the new ones when they are out until one day, she starts to say new words, like cat. Thinking she is playing a game he looks and sees the similarities with the animal to dogs. His mommy does this several times with different animals, in books, his cousins’ pet, and others while on a walk but he always sees the similarities and thinks they are just a different type of dog. Dog, little feet, bushy tail, little nose, round belly. Cute book for younger kids my six-year-old liked the pictures and seeing his favorite animal, elephant.

Charming picture story book.
This colourful and engaging picture book follows Kingston as he and his mum go looking for his favourite animal, the dog. Who knew there were so many different types of dogs out there, but are they really all dogs? Wonderfully written and illustrated this is one that will be treasured by early childhood children everywhere. Recommend.

If you have ever had it spent time around a toddler who has hyperfixated on something you will absolutely laugh your way through this book on your first read! Then go read it with your kids! Our little boy is in love with dogs, to the point that squirrels and elephants are dogs to him. But his mommy just keeps being silly and calling them by other names! This is a super cute book for littles and absolutely represents a toddlers mind!

Wondogfilled is a super fun yet cute children’s book that children 0-8 can enjoy. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. This is a story about learning different animals and how not all animals are the same. Kingston and his mom like to take walks and Kingston loves dogs and easily recognizes them. But what will happen when a different animal is introduced? My five-year-old son loves dogs and loved reading this book and pointing out the different animals. I highly recommend reading this book. We look forward to reading more from this Author.

This was such a cute book! I got it thinking that my 8 year old would like it. She loved the pictures and such, but it was super easy for her. This book is better for younger kids. I’d say this is a 1st library type book for kindergarten and younger. This book follows a mother and her son Kingston. Kingston loves dogs. While on walks and such with his mother they always look at the dogs around town. His mother points out the different ones and any new dogs they haven’t seen before. It’s their little game while out and about. One day his mom shows him a cat, but Kingston thinks it’s just a different type of dog. After his mom shows him a few different animals he thinks that they are playing a game. Mom will call the critter something other than a dog and Kingston will yell dog! You can tell that the mother is worried throughout the book about this. By the end of the book she has showed him animals from hamsters to elephants to a fox. I loved this book. Even though it was easy for my daughter we enjoyed the story and looking at all the animals. So many different types of dogs and I thought that the fox was adorable! Grab this book to read with your little one! You are sure to love it!!

What an entertaining and cute story. Kingston is out on walks with his momma and she’s showing him the types of animals out there. They are all dogs to him. Well, to him thinking, they have all the parts that a dog body does. It’s funny to stop and think about the child perspective. Little Kingston kind of makes sense from his end. Mom makes sense too. This story will start many conversations among parent and child as they read it together during storytime. Going for walks with your children and talking about what you see is also one extra benefit that can come from reading this. A wonderful addition to any library. The illustrations are lovely, bright and colorful. It’s a well-done story.

Kingston and his mom are out on a walk. During the walk, Kingston loves to see all the dogs out walking with their owners. Kingston is a huge fan of dogs! His mom points out other animals and tells him what they are (cat, squirrel, etc) but he’s convinced they are all dogs as they have similar parts.

This book is a bit humorous in terms of what Kingston sees when he sees different animals. An elephant, bear, and even a fox have Kingston saying “dog”. Younger kids will appreciate the “baby talk” from Kingston on the pages of the book as well. The illustrations are very well done. They are very vibrant and engaging.

I thought the ending could have been better. I see she has another book and I look forward to reading it as well. The book is rated 0-8 years old but I think 0-5 is probably more accurate.

I read Wondogfilled, Look a dog! with my 7 year old son. He read it to me, and we liked it. He liked all the different dogs that the author incorporated (or rather illustrator). The book shows us how Kingston is learning more about the world around him. Every animal is a dog, and he loooovvveees seeing them on his daily walks. My son thought it was silly and funny trying to sound out the baby talk. It is the first book we have read by this author, and we would read more. It was cute abut geared toward a younger audience. It is listed as baby-8 but I think closer to up to 5 or 6 max.

Zibs for Sale: a retelling of Beauty and the Beast (I am an Alien)Zibs for Sale: a retelling of Beauty and the Beast by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another worth-reading picture book by Lori Wickstrom. I disliked the discontinuity that the hardware store is light years away, yet they traveled by spaceship faster than lightyears? I did appreciate it parallels the original (and not Disney-fied) retelling of Beauty and the Beast, to expand children’s knowledge of the traditional tale.

The story is supported through vibrant, colorful illustrations. Although a little wordy at times, the story is intriguing enough to be engaging to students. I also learned, I probably wouldn’t like to eat Zibs!

Greta Fay is standing up for what she believes in and it seems to be causing problems in her small town. There are plenty of people that would like to see her be silenced. Christopher is set to marry one of the richest women in the county, Minnie Locke. He is unhappy but reluctantly going through with it to please his father. That all goes out the window when he runs in Greta Fay. Their attraction spells trouble due to her beliefs and his engagement. You can’t help who you love though and this is no exception. This was the first book I read of.this novella series and I enjoyed it. A trigger warning for those that are easily upset by things of this nature, SA is spoken about so do read at your own risk. Otherwise it is a well written and put together short story. I do wish it were a little longer, but even still I didn’t feel like anything was missing. If you are looking to just pass the time and relax with a good read this book will get you through. I have so far enjoyed this series and had read 3 out of the 5 books and enjoyed each of them. If you choose to read this book, or any of the others, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them. Happy reading!

Billie Jean is back from college and ready for a fight. When she hears how the Locke family treating the black, she doesn’t hesitate to March over there and give them a piece of her mind. Fisher Hines was born into wealth, it is all he knows. He has is finally at a point in his life where he has the admiration of his parents while running the family farm. Both of their worlds are about to be turned upside down when their insta attraction starts to threaten the family business. Do they fight for love or will their agendas tear them apart? These novellas have been good so far. Of course I personally feel that these stories could be longer, but they hardly feel lacking while reading them. So far the books I have read in this series don’t need to be in any particular order. If you enjoy insta love stories as well as something that is a quick read you’ll enjoy this. Happy reading!
