Themes OF Kismet: A Multicultural Meet Cute Romance by A Akinosho
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Themes of Kismet by A. Akinosho was a super cute story. It seemed fate always worked in Ebun and Noah’s favor. I could definitely pick up on the differences in language and culture but it made the story that much sweeter. The story was cute but a little confusing at times. Ebun has lost her parents and is forced to move for her safety. Noah is the typical jock in both high school and college. The pair meet a few times though out their lives to realize they should be together. I would have liked a little more information about her background and why she needed to leave and what the deal was after her fathers passing. It would have helped in understanding why she needed protected. I did appreciate the story from each viewpoint. Reading one and then the other. It made it exciting to read what each thought about the particular encounter. Overall I liked this story and am happy that this is the first I read by this author.
