My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As a first read by this author and the first book in a series Murder At Music Hall nailed it! The story was engaging and had a hook that I wasn’t expecting. The characters were well thought out and the plot played out nicely without being overly drawn out! I will definitely be back for more!!

Stand Your Ground Audiobook by A.J. Ullman – Review by Kay Stritesky

I absolutely love listening to this book! It was quite out of my wheelhouse and I am so glad I chose it! That characters are wonderful. The plot was enough to keep my attention and that narrators voice was soothing enough to not be mundane or boring! I look forward to trying more books outside of my wheelhouse thanks to Sand Your Ground

Stand Your Ground By A.J. Ullman

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Ullman. Once again I’m brought into the world of crime. Someone did something to protect themselves.

Cady is a trial lawyer by day and fighting crime by night. Not really fighting crime as it was to protect herself. Shooting a man seven times has its pains. The past may even come back to bite her in the butt. The quote I chose for Cady is: “I felt threatened for my life. I shot him before he could shoot me.”

Highly recommended for Crime lovers.

Stand Your Ground
I enjoyed this book. Cady has a lot to lose in this race against time and crime itself in this murder mystery/thriller. There is suspense with some typical triggers of things such as BLM movement and Cady has to stand her ground and try to fight against her status being stripped from her. The question is will she be able to? Is this typical white privilege? Is this even about white privilege or is there more to the story going on and can she hold her own against the world? Read on and find out.
