Knight on Edge is the 7th book in the Jorja Knight series. Full disclosure, I have not read all the books in this series and still thoroughly enjoyed Alice Bienia’s writing style. This was a great mystery that kept you on your toes with interesting characters. While this was a full length novel, I didn’t find myself falling bored or losing interest. I will certainly double back and read more from this series in the near future.

This is book seven in The Jorja Knight Mystery series, and it does not disappoint. They just keep getting better and better. Jorja is a private detective, and I think she is pretty bada$s. She has become one my favorite heroines. You could read this and the others as a standalone, but why? Fast paced, great characters and realistic. If you love good murder mysteries full of suspense, danger, lies, secrets, adventure and so much more then this is for you.

Another enjoyable and entertaining mystery featuring private investigator Jorja Knight. Her latest case appears to be routine, proving a husband’s supposed infidelity. However, when the mistress turns up dead she worries that her investigation may have led to the death. Jorja is then involved in the murder investigation having been hired by the defense lawyer. The more she discovers questions are raised about the accused’s innocence. Whilst dealing with personal crises Jorja unearths secrets in the victim’s past, and discovers more deceptions and deadly motives. Jorja is determined to expose the killer and uncover the real motive, even if the person she’s defending is the one who pulled the trigger! I loved being back with our smart, gutsy heroine Jorja as she investigates another intriguing mystery. The fast paced storyline with plenty of plot twists kept me hooked throughout.

This is yet another fantastic addition to an already great series. I find it so easy to reconnect with this character each and every time. I love that each of her adventures are so different to each other and yet they all have such similar feel to them. This was a really exciting book. I think this one is my favourites of the series so far. It action packed right from the start and I was pulled in so easily! The story got more complex as it went on and I felt myself being taken on the journey with the characters. This author has created a great series and I am already looking forward to the next.

I love this series! Each book could totally be a stand-alone. The main character is a strong female private detective. She solves mysteries. She battles her own demons. She lives and loves whole-heartedly. She stands on a precipice. What choices will she make in her professional life? What choices will she make in her personal life?

I love watching Jorja try to figure this out. She’s like a bulldog with a bone. She doesn’t give up. There are many secrets to discover I really enjoyed the characters It’s a good book.

Knight On Edge is the seventh book in the Jorja Knight Mystery series by Alice Bienia. This is a very engrossing mystery with plenty of tension, suspense, action, adventure, danger, crime + investigation, secrets, lies, deception, personal turmoil/crisis, whodunnit feel, twists, agendas, and a tangled web of mystery. Again, we join Jorja Knight, who we met in the previous books, as she takes on a simple infidelity case which takes a deadly turn. Untangling the shocking truth will test Jorja far more than she imagined when she signed up for the case, especially when she has her own personal struggles to contend with as well. What happens makes for another gripping read. Even though this is the seventh book in the series, you can read it as a standalone without feeling like you are missing anything. Having said that though, the other books in the series make for great reading too- and contain their own intriguing mysteries for Jorja to solve. They also provide more character information, background stories, and other interesting details which, all combined, will definitely enhance your appreciation of this book, as well as the series as a whole. Looking forward to seeing what Jorja gets up to next! Happy Reading…

Feisty, no-nonsense straight shooter Jorja Knight is independent, but even she questions things as she finds herself smack dab in the middle of a dark game with a killer who will stop at nothing to keep their secret. But it’s not just a killer that is about to upturn her life. What can I say, I love this series: Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery series. Jorja Knight is kickar$e. The books in this series can be read as standalones but if you start from the beginning, you gain so much insight into our lead character Jorja Knight. Knight On Edge is a thrilling tale pulls you into the suspenseful, mysterious, dangerous and harrowing world where Jorja is caught in a web of secrets, lies, deception and deadly motives. I am not going to spill any thing in this review because you need to discover the joy of the story by yourself. Read along with Jorja Knight and the paces Alice puts her through. It’s addictive for sure.

Knight On Edge by Alice Bienia is like a campy murder mystery. The story writing blended really well with the murder but also with hearing about Jorja’s life. This book is great for people who love who dun its books, people working in detective agencies, and people who love action-packed books. The book also talks about how the wife suspects her husband of cheating and killing his lover because her gun is missing. The book also focuses on the police doing their job but also how the wife keeps calling to get more clues about the case of the murdered victim. Who do you think the killer is, was it the wife trying to frame the husband for murder or was it the jealous husband thinking that the wife is cheating? Find out in this new murder mystery book. This book is part 7 of the Jorja Knight Mystery Series, and is no less amazing than the other 6. Jorja is a private detective in Canada. Her cases are usually run of the mill investigations into missing people, adultery or similar situations. Her latest case, however, turns into a mess that is most assuredly not what it appears from the outset. Sherrie Langcaster hires Jorja to find out if her husband is cheating, and when she discovers the truth, Jorja assumes she is done with Sherrie’s case. What neither of the women could possibly foresee is just how connected their lives would be from that point, and just how twisted everything around Sherrie and her husband was just about to get, when his mistress turns up dead, and Sherrie’s missing gun is the murder weapon. This mystery is great and will pull you in from beginning to end, but there is plenty of story line to remind you that Jorja is more than just a detective.

Jorja Knight’s latest cases have pushed her limits as a private investigator. When a distraught woman hires her to confirm suspicions of her husband’s infidelity, Jorja welcomes the seemingly routine job. But from the moment she accepts the assignment, something feels off, and soon, her instincts prove right.
The mistress turns up dead, and Jorja is haunted by the thought that her investigation may have played a deadly role. Hired by the defense lawyer to help dismantle a seemingly airtight case against her client, Jorja is pulled into the murder investigation. Digging into the details of the homicide, unsettling questions about the accused’s innocence start to surface. Meanwhile, personal crises threaten to derail everything she’s built.
As Jorja unearths secrets buried in the victim’s past, she’s led down a dark, twisted path of deception and deadly motives to a more shocking truth—one that someone is willing to kill to keep hidden. With time running out and her own life in turmoil, Jorja must untangle a web of lies to uncover the real motive and expose the killer. But what if the very person she’s fighting to defend is the one who pulled the trigger?

I just love when I read a book and it actually feels like I’m right there in that very location with the characters ! It’s like I just want to grab my passport , pack my bags and go 😉
Jorja arrives at Istanbul airport and her best friend isn’t there to meet her and when she arrives at the hotel all her things are there and nobody can reach her and nobody has heard from her in a few days 🤷♀️😱 has Gabriella been abducted !?
The hunt is on for Gabriella but Jorja has her hands full with a foreign country , foreign language , strange culture and customs , bribery , corruption , greed , lies and dangerous characters .
Despite the feelings of anxiousness , fear , suspense and everything else there was a strong sense of the value of friendship and friends are the family we choose , our family not by blood and Jorja went all out for hers , she’s someone I’d want in my tribe 😉

This is book # 6 of the Jorja Knight Series. I have only read one other book from this series and while both are good. I do feel a little lost in this last one. I definitely recommend reading all of them in order. That being said, Jorja entered into another country to spend time with her friend Gabriella. Unfortunately Gabby and another friend of Gabby’s has gone missing. Will Jorja be able to find Gabby and the other woman? I really like Jorja but I feel like she trusts too easily in this book and it seems to back fire a lot. While I am still reading this book, I do plan on going back and reading the other books of this series because I found out something’s in this story that I didn’t know before. Which is probably why I feel lost. So do not skip any of the books, read them in order.

This is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight mystery series, and it just keeps getting better and better. When I finished the last book in this series, I was so excited to get started on this next book and read all about how Jorja would be going on vacation to travel with her best friend Gabriella. As with any mystery story, you know a private investigator isn’t going to get a vacation that easily. This book lived up to my expectations and then so much more, it has such amazing world-building, along with descriptions of places all around the world taking me to places I’ve never even dreamed of going. I love the descriptions and the situations that our main character is put into, they are so realistic, it’s exactly what I would expect to happen when traveling so far away from home. The fear and anxiety that this story provokes are so amazing, I was worried for Jorja and Gabriella both, never knowing what might happen next. This book kept me on my toes, I was unable to put it down until I got through the entire book in one sitting! I am now going to go back and start back at book number 1 and read through the entire series because if the first 4 books are anything like the last two, I’ve read, I cannot wait to dive in for the ride of my life! Solving mysteries and fighting crime, what an amazing way to spend my day from the comfort of my own home. @Brandy Rymer 12/2023

This was the first book I’d read in the Jorja Knight mystery series, and I absolutely loved it! This story had me following along every twist and turn with all the different clues Jorja kept following along as she tried to piece together the mystery behind the death of former PI Howard’s untimely demise. The characters were developed so dynamically, that you wondered who may have been involved in the obvious crimes committed. I was shocked at all of the different clues that Jorja was able to uncover from such little nuggets of information she was able to find, it showcased the powerful job that she performed as a private investigator. The outcome of what was going on was astounding, I was shocked, but excited at the same time when I got to the end of the book with how everything had turned out. There are a lot of surprises that you could never have guessed, which is something that only the best mystery books contain. I can’t wait to read more of this series by this author, I feel like there is so much I don’t know about the main characters that I’m excited to go back and learn about them. @Brandy Rymer 12/2023

From the very beginning this book grabbed me instantly in. Page one and on, the author’s ability to describe situations and Jorja’s emotions, I knew I was going to be able physically feel what Jorja is feeling. There were so many twists and turns, and heart stopping moments I couldn’t put the book down. This was the sixth book in the series and I didn’t feel like I needed to read the first five to understand what was going on, however, I’m pulled in and will be going reading book one.

This is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight Mysteries Series. I loved this story and was hooked from the first page. The author has a way of writing that grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go. I haven’t read many in this Series but it didn’t stop me enjoying this book so I feel they can be read as standalone. In this story we are with PI Jorja Knight as she arrives in Istanbul to spend time with her best friend Gabriella. However things don’t go to plan and Gabriella doesn’t meet Jorja at the airport. Was it just a mistake? When Jorja checks in and realises that Gabriella checked in days ago but is no where to be found, then Jorja starts to worry. Could something bad have happened to her best friend? She is now on a race against time to find her friend however it won’t be easy as she had to work her way through secrets, lies and deceit as well as corrupt politicans and witnesses bribed to change their story.
It is a rollercoast of a ride but Jorja is determined not to give up until she locates her friend. You won’t be able to put this book down until you get to the end. I was completely invested in Jorja’s fight to get to the truth and find her friend.

I absolutely loved the last book in this series and had to see where this next one takes Jorja. This time she travels to Turkey with her best friend, Gabrielle, but when she arrives, she is nowhere to be found. Not answering her phone, suitcases located and no one has her from her in days. This has Jorja left baffled at her missing friend in a foreign country. All possible theories come into question and the fact she is in unfamiliar territory makes the possibilities endless. While discovering secrets and lies, she starts uncovering what lies beneath of what is going on in the city of Istanbul. Seeing how strong and inquisitive Jorja gets in each of her cases shows such strength and courage even when personal matters get tangled in the midst of her investigations. Wonderful story and series!

Even though this is the fifth book in the series, this read was my first one in the series. When jumping into a series, you never know what to expect whether to be thrown off in details from picking up in the middle of the series or being able to flow again with the story at hand. It was so great reading details brought back from previous ones to help better understand the characters and past experiences. Then in itself, learning of this crime that had taken place when a private investigator goes missing and then found dead, many questions come back. Jorja, a strong female character who is a private investigator and helps try to solve the mystery of the murder of a former police officer. With the unraveling mystery behind this murder, a pending label on a current fling and venturing through the Canadian badlands, there are twists and turns that make this read worth the while!

Her best friend, Gabriella, isn’t at the airport to pick her up and nobody has seen her around. Jorja races to find her in a world that accepts bribes to keep quiet. Does she find her in time?

If you love mystery thrillers like me, then read this book! Was intrigued from the first page and the intensity of the story is what kept me drawn in. I like being on the edge of my seat NEEDING to know what happens next. And this did it for me. I’ll definitely be reading the others in this series!

Knight in Peril is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery series. I wouldn’t say this series necessarily needs to be read in order, the books work fine as standalones, but Knight in Peril will have more impact if you are already familiar with Gab from earlier books!
This story builds on anxieties around women travelling alone, as Jorja arrives in Istanbul to find her friend Gab is not there to meet her as planned. She then has to combine her skills as a PI with police forces in Istanbul and back home in Canada to try to find Gab, whilst also keeping herself safe alone in an unfamiliar country.
I love that in amongst the mystery plot we are treated to descriptions of Turkish food, landmarks and culture. It really feels like a holiday in a book! (albeit a dangerous and stressful one…).
I’d recommend this series to fans of suspenseful mysteries. It gets five stars from me!

This is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight series and can be read as a standalone. This book follows Jorja who I very much enjoyed as our main character. She was funny and smart and an all around awesome main character. We follow her while she on the hunt for her missing friend in an unfamiliar city. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and hopefully more book in this series! I would recommend to a friend! Happy Reading!

A Knight in Peril by Alice Bienia, is a thrilling mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat. From the beginning the story my curiosity was piqued and kept me guessing what would happen next. The fast paced murder and mayhem make you not want to put the book down until the end. This is book 6 in the series but can be read as a stand alone novel.

As a PI, Jorja Knight is no stranger to heartache and pain. In this thrilling tale, she is asked by a former police officer’s daughter to look into the death of her father. Another book full of suspense, mystery, and action that definitely keeps you on the edge of your seats edge. Jorja soon discovers that another death is linked to the police officers death and that both are suspiciously linked to an artifact that is pre-Columbian and missing. Will Jorja fill the artifact and solve the murders?

This book is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It is just as good as the other books and is exactly what I have come to expect from this series and this author. I reconnected with the main character straight away and I loved how the book seemed to throw you straight back into it. The story was full of suspense and took the readers on a thrilling chase around a city most would be unfamiliar with. At times it had me on the edge of my seat as to how things would work out. I was fully engaged with it from the moment I started reading. This is a great story and I am looking forward to whatever comes next.
