I want to start off with I didn’t know this was series. This was definitely a great standalone book if you wanted it to be. It also drawn me to go back and read the rest of the series! 🙂 Jorja is a private investigator who ends up working on two crimes. She ends up in a mix of trouble during the searches, but she’s a badass through and through! Great job on this book and the series itself!

This is my first book by this author, and I now want to go back and read the first four books in this series. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you get into it, you may find that you feel the same way I do. I didn’t want to put this book down.

Jorja Knight is a Private Investigator who is asked by a friend to look into the death of someone he was friends with. What she discovers is a tangled web of people, antiques, mystery and plenty of intrigue. While investigating the death she’s been asked to look into, she quickly finds other odd occurrences, and deaths, that she tries to figure out the connections between, or even if there’s a connection at all. The characters are relatable and human in a way that is often missing in books, without it going too far and making the characters more about their problems than their story. Excellent book if you like mystery and a who-done-it kind of story.

Slow start to a suspenseful build that is lead into a murder mystery with a thrill and turns so good they’re above so many others. As someone who came into this story mid-series there was no lack with picking this book up and quickly getting lost in the pages. It works as a stand alone but I’m thrilled to read the remainders that accompany this work.

Overall, a good read with a slower start but draws you in with time. This strong female lead with good character development was a nice read.

Knight In The Museum (Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series Book 5) by Alice Bienia – Review by Kirsten Berkebile

Jorja Knight was a once a crime lab analyst that decided she needed a little bit more excitement in her life, so she became a private investigator (PI). Jorja was hired to find out what happened to a man named Howard, who was also a PI, who had died by a fall however his daughter didn’t believe that it was an accident. I encourage you to read this book as it takes you on a journey that you could never imagine. From a Pre-Columbian artifact to an Art Gallery full of…. Well, I’m not going to tell you, you need to read it for yourself.

I kept thinking I had figured out where the story was going only to unravel more of the mystery. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Jorja is an awesome character and I really enjoyed reading from her perspective. She’s a strong character and very well written. She is relentless in wanting to find the answers as to why several people have died. Jorja goes to great lengths to find the answers and how or if everything is all connected. The more she uncovers the deeper she has to go to find the real truth and who all is involved. If you are looking for a thrilling page turner, then this is the book for you!

This is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight Mystery series. Thankfully these books can be read as standalone books however I will definately be going back and read the books that came before. The author has a way of writing that keeps you captivated from beginning to end. This was one book where I was reading and kept saying one more chapter until I reached the end without even realising it. Each chapter leaves you wanting more.
I love our main character Jorja. She is a very smart and fiesty lady who is like a dog with a bone. She will stop at nothing to solve the mystery that is infront or her.

When an ex law enforcement officer turned PI turns up dead his daughter isn’t so quite to believe the cause of death was accidental as the police claim. Now Jorja is on the case to find out what really happened and why he had to die. With ancient relics, maybe a curse and for some reason the police not doing their job Jorja had to walk a dangerous path to get to the truth.
What are the law enforcement agencies trying to hide? Was it a simple accident or was it something more sinister? And what happens if danger now decides to lurk around her? Can she solve the case before its too late?

A cursed statue, a murder mystery and secrets and lies makes this one interesting page turner

Jorja Knight prides herself as beginning a great investigator, so when she is asked to investigate a death of a police officer by his daughter, she is unaware what Pandora’s box will be opened.

As the adventure takes hold she discovers ancient Relics with curses, danger around every corner, more dead bodies and a target drawn on her back. Can she find out what is going on in time to save herself, you will have to read to find out.

This is the first story I have read in this series and although this book is the fifth in the series it did not deflect from the story at all. I loved the characters within the story and Jorja was a brilliant driver of the story and I felt like I was right there in the story with her solving the mysteries along the way. I loved the intrigue and the plot twists along the way which enhanced the book and the pleasure of reading it further. With the fast-paced writing and the gripping storyline you will devour this book in one day.

I will want to go back and read the first books and see how this great character was introduced to us in the first instalment in this wonderful series.

Knight in the Museum took me by complete surprise! Alice Bienia is a first time author for me, but the synopsis sounded intriguing so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did, as I have found a wonderful, new-to-me author. Bienia delivers not only an interesting, plot-twisting storyline, but an array of captivating, realistic characters. Knight in the Museum has it all; intrigue, suspense, mystery, history and ancient curses, hints of romance, and much more! While this book is part of the Jorja Knight Mystery Series, I did not feel as if I was missing any important elements by reading this one first; it can absolutely be read as a standalone book. Overall, I am blown away by the author and can’t wait to read more by her!

Knight In The Museum ( Jorja Knight Mystery -Book 5)Knight In The Museum by Alice Bienia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Knight In The Museum is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight mystery series, and can be read as a standalone. Knight is a private investigator, and is asked to take a look when a friend of a friend’s suspicious death is deemed accidental. The further she gets into the case, the more Knight discovers that is hard to dismiss as coincidental. And yet the police seem all too happy to do just that, which increases her suspicions.

This is a thrilling mystery read. There’s so much to unravel, with early hints at the involvement of a curse amongst other things. To figure out why Howard died, Knight also has to unravel the final case he was working on, about which he had been very secretive. So plenty going on, making it a hard book to put down!

For me, this book gets five stars. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good mystery series, particularly if you’re after some Canadian content!

I didn’t know what I was getting into when I started this book. This is the first time I’ve ever read anything my Alice Bienia – I would absolutely read another one.

The main character- Jorja follows the final moments in a former law enforcement offices life when the current officers label his death an accident. Something about his death from the beginning is super suspicious!!

As she digs deeper into this death she realizes drawn in deep to Albertas notorious killer.

Fast pace.
Page turner.

Absolutely would grab another one of her books to read soon!!!

I really appreciate when an author is not only skillful at weaving words into worlds and characters, but also knowledgeable in what they are writing about. This author writes intelligently and vividly to bring to life an awesome, kick-ass heroine – Jorja Knight, Private Investigator. You will fall in love with this multi-faceted character as she risks relationships and her life in order to prove that there is more to a certain mystery than meets the eye. This is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight series, but can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone. I have not read the previous books, but after picking up this one, I can’t wait to get my hands on them! The suspense will keep you hooked. This is definitely a mystery you do not want to overlook. I highly recommend this book and author.

5 Stars!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love a good story that can totally engross you with every turn of the page. This is my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last. Even though this is book # 5 in the series, I picked up and definitely did not miss anything from any other of the books in her series. I will be circling back most definitely to start the Jorja Knight Mystery from the beginning for sure.

Jorja Knight is a private investigator whom is looking into the death of a former police officer by the request of his daughter. Although seeming to be “accidental”, the more the story unfolds, there is definitely more to this death than meets they eye. Something that does not sit well….. as the story is more untangled, the more suspicion comes and leads to more death, mystery and twists come. Will Jorja be able to solve this mystery….

This story is fantastic and I cannot wait to dive in to more Jorja Knight mysteries. The plot is truly gripping and I am looking forward to reading more from this author!!

Knight in the Museum is a very slow start, however the farther you get into the book, it does pick up the pace. The author is very detail oriented in how the main character does her investigation. Also the main character does have a private personal life other than her work as an investigator. I like how the main character appears to have emotions like an actual person.

Knight In The Museum ( Jorja Knight Mystery -Book 5)Knight In The Museum by Alice Bienia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Private Investigator, Jorja Knight, is asked by her friend to investigate her father’s death Jorja expects it to be a routine case. Although her friend’s father’s death has been ruled an accident there appears to be more to it than that. The more investigating Jorja does the more it leads her to believe that her friend’s father’s death, and several other mysterious deaths that occurred around the same time are somehow linked to an ancient jade statue.

Jorja attempts to retrace the last steps of her friend’s late father and determine what he had uncovered that led to his death. Her investigation takes her into the heart of Alberta’s Badlands and has her coming face to face with a killer.

Knight in the Museum was an intense read from the first few pages. It was packed full of action, suspense, and twists and turns throughout. The more Jorja Knight dug into the mysterious death of her friend’s father the more questions she had that remained unanswered. Numerous times it seemed that Jorja was going to give up because the answers she was coming up with did not seem to make any logical sense. How on earth could one jade statue be linked to so many deaths? Was it really cursed as legend had it? For Jorja it made no sense, but she relentlessly pursued the investigation and did not give up until she unraveled the mystery.

I loved this book and did not realize that it was part of a series when I started reading it. Although, it can easily be read as a standalone, I know that I will be ensuring I read the other books as well. The author is a truly talented writer and I found it refreshing to read about cities in Canada. I loved how the author utilized Alberta’s badlands as a backdrop for where the mystery unfolded. I highly recommend this book!

This mystery had me from the start. PI Jorja Knight is almost carjacked. Jorja later learns that the would- be carjacker has been involved in a hit and run; unbeknownst to her the man may be connected to an investigation she has taken on involving an accidental death.
While Jorja works on piecing together pieces that she’s found; she realizes she may in over her head. She tries a few times to put her gut feelings aside and agree that the accidental death was just that-Jorja stumbles onto another clue leading her trudging murky waters.
This book is part of a series, but reads well as a stand-alone. I enjoyed every twist and turn and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The end may surprise you as it did me and I wholly recommend this book.

I actually had more fun with this book than i thought i would. We are following PI Jorja who was asked to look into a death by the victims daughter as she believes his death was no accident. As Jorja does this mostly as a favor to a friend, we are taken on a crazy ride with a lot of twists and a lot of connections that take a lot of hard work to unfold and figure out. This was exciting enough to keep me interested but my heart wasnt pounding out of my chest with anticipation which i enjoyed the less intense thrill this book gave me. I read it pretty fast casue i wanted to see how it all ended up making sense in the end. Jorja was a great female lead and there was even small glimpses at romance and other life situations so that was fun. Overall a good read.

Jorja Knight is a private investigator. After receiving a phone call to look into a death that was ruled as an accident, she stumbled on something way bigger than she could ever imagine. Jorja began traveling down a rabbit hole of clues where more bodies also showed up. It seems like every death is connected to a jade statue of a jaguar that could possibly be worth millions or could be a fake.

There are twists and turns at every corner followed by a lot of obstacles that Jorja has to jump over. This case is consuming her every move, it even affects her casual relationship she has with Luis, a police officer.

One thing that made me really happy was that the book was set in Canada. As a Canadian myself, it was really refreshing to recognize places mentioned. At one point it even mentioned the province I live in which isn’t very well known.

Knight In The Museum ( Jorja Knight Mystery -Book 5)Knight In The Museum by Alice Bienia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a gripping mystery crime novel, which had me hooked from start to finish. PI Jorja Knight is asked by the daughter of a former police officer to look into her father’s supposedly accidental death. Jorja is determined to find out the truth, and as she starts to investigate she discovers another suspicious death and also links to a cursed, missing pre-Columbian artifact. Jorja reconstructs the dead men’s last movements as she has doubts over the way police handled the men’s deaths, but this causes tension in her relationship with the head of Special Crimes.
The more Jorja discovers the more dangerous the investigation becomes as she’s drawn deep into the heart of the Alberta’s badlands, and into the path of a brazen killer. Jorja Knight is a complex, likeable and relatable main character and she makes a great heroine of this series. The fast paced storyline and the plot twists kept me happily turning the pages, and guessing as to the outcome of the story. The story was full of drama and mystery, along with the added humour and romance which made this a great read. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series, now that I’ve discovered PI Jorja Knight.

Knight in The Museum is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series. The cover and title pulled me in without realizing this was the fifth book in the series. Don’t let this stop you from grabbing this book. It was easy to read as a standalone without feeling lost or out of touch with the characters and the story. Jorja (not Georgia) Knight is a fantastic PI who gets herself into some interesting situations. I always liked stories with art or antiquities built into the story, and this one kept me intrigued.
