Knight in Peril by Alice Bienia is the 6th book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery. This book is part of a series, but can definitely be read as a standalone, even though I doubt you will want to! I am going to go back and read the previous books in the series just to get the full idea of who Jorja Knight is and her back story. Jorja Knight is a Private Investigator from Canada who is supposed to meet her friend Gabriella Rizzo in Istanbul, Turkey for a little bit of R&R, and soon finds out that she is going to have to use her investigative skills to solve a mystery involving her friend. When Jorja arrives to Istanbul, she finds it odd that her friend hasn’t showed up to meet her at the airport as planned, but then thinks that maybe messages were crossed and goes to their hotel to check in. When Jorja arrives, she quickly finds that Gabs things are in the room, but Gabs is not! Jorja starts to worry especially when Gabs doesn’t show up the next day, Jorja gets the feeling that something is very wrong, and decides to report her missing to the police who do not take Jorja’s concerns seriously. Jorja knows that she has no jurisdiction in Istanbul to look for Gab, but she knows that something is very wrong, and she can’t just sit by and hope for the best. That is when Jorja decides to take things into her own hands and starts investigating what possibly could have happened to Gabs. Will Jorja be successful in solving the mystery about what has happened to her friend, will she find herself in a bigger situation? Knight In Peril (A Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery) by Alice Bienia. This is such a good story and it can be read as a standalone but I always recommend reading them in order to better understand everything. Its the continuing story of Jorja Knight Private Investigator who is from Canada and she is supposed to be meeting her friend, Gabriella in Instanbul for a vacation. When Gabriella doesn’t show up at the airport Gabriella thinks its odd but thinks maybe she got busy. When she gets to Gabriella’s her stuff is there but its been gone thru. When Gabriella doesn’t show up the next day Jorja is super concerned and decides to report her missing. Jorja knows she has no powers over in Instanbul but she can’t just sit around waiting. When a dead body shows up she knows she has to find her. Will she find her before its too late? Read this fun mystery to find out!. I love this author’s writing because I felt like I was in Instanbul while reading.

This is a suspenseful novel where Jorga has to find her best friend that has gone missing. This book kept me guessing and wanting to read more. Had a hard time putting it down. Highly recommend!

This is the sixth book in the Jorja Knight Series. However, it is important to note that although it is the sixth book it definitely could read as a standalone. Jorja Knight has become one of my favorite Main Characters – she is strong, independent, smart, quick thinking, and a force to be reckoned with. I have loved each and every book in this series. This one adds an extra element of taking place in Istanbul. In this book, Jorja is on the hunt for a missing friend. Gabriella has absolutely disappeared and it is up to Jorja to find her in an unfamiliar landscape of a foreign city. Then to add on top of this there is corruption, secrets and lies. I definitely recommend reading this one and all the Jorja Knight books. They are well written mysteries that never disappoint!

When a friend and traveling companion of Gab’s is found no longer alive, Jorja starts to really worry for her friends safety and accidentally makes mistakes with her own safety that ends up getting her to Gab in a dangerous way. Now Jorja and Gab have to find a way to save themselves in a foreign country with corrupt cops, and other challenges.

This is a missing persons case. It’s a cautionary tale for traveling tourists (are there any other types of tourists?). A suspense novel, yet it has a wisp of romance and fidelity running through it. Ultimately the mystery is solved, although not without treachery and tragedy. Overall, this reader was left with the warm fuzzies that accompany the reading of a good book.

Knight in Peril is the sixth book in the Jorja Knight series but the first book I have read by this author. That being said, this CAN be read as a standalone, as I had no difficulty following the story or characters along the way. I do think I would benefit more from reading previous books which would add to the character development and back story a bit, and I will be going back to read the others to confirm that. I really liked the main character, she is such a feisty spitfire of a woman that I could really get behind. The story takes place in Istanbul, where Jorja goes to visit her friend. Upon arrival, her friend is nowhere to be seen, and she isn’t back at the guest house either. Now, with a sinking feeling in her chest, Jorja must search the foreign land for her friend. I have never been to Istanbul but the descriptions and settings are absolutely believable and immersive. I really liked this writing and am kicking myself for picking up the series at the end! Knight in Peril is Book Six in the Jorja Knight Series. The story centers around the main character of Private Investigator Jorja Knight. Her recent adventure finds her in Istanbul trying to locate her missing friend who seems to have vanished without a trace. Jorja finds herself trying to search for her friend in a foreign city so large that it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. As Jorja tries to solve her friend’s disappearance, she is greeted by lies, greed, danger, and corruption at every turn. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat as the tension and suspense escalates and the twists and turns will keep you reading until the end. I loved the exotic location of Jorja’s latest mystery and the bond she had with her friend. Jorja is smart, determined, strong willed, and courageous. A gripping mystery thriller with PI Jorja Knight, who this time is in Istanbul, an ancient and mysterious city. Jorja was supposed to be met at the airport by her best friend Gabriella Rizzo, but she does not arrive as planned. Jorja then goes to the guest house hoping to meet up with her friend but only her suitcases are there, Jorja starts to be concerned when Gabriella does not answer her phone, and she learns that no one has seen or heard from her in days. The PI fears the worst, that her best friend has been abducted and she starts her own investigation to find her. This plunges her into a dangerous world of lies, greed, and secrets, where politicians are corrupt, witnesses take bribes and suspects won’t talk. Jorja has no choice but to enter the dark underbelly of Istanbul’s city to find Gabriella. The intriguing storyline had me hooked from page one and the plot twists kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story. I loved the heroine of the story, Jorja and thought she was a great main character. The author brought the vibrant city of Istanbul vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Jorja is back again in this mystery. This time, we are thrown into the world of Istanbul. Jorja has arrived excited to see her friend again. However, Gabriella doesn’t show up at the airport to pick her up. She heads to the guest house. Her friends things are there still, but no Gabriella. She gets this sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, knowing that something has happened to her friend. She then sets off across all of Istanbul in the search for her friend. Roadblock after roadblock, Jorja starts to lose hope. Nobody is talking, and greed is the name of the game. This book was an absolute gem to read. I loved reading Jorja’s mystery adventures. This book does not disappoint. Alice sure knows her stuff in keeping readers enthralled until the very last page. I can’t wait to read more!

This was a quick read for me but I loved all of the action and excitement. Jorja traveled to Istanbul to meet up with her bestfriend Gabrielle only to find out later that she had been abducted. Torn between who Jorja could trust in a foreign country and who she couldn’t, she has to find her friend. I found this book to be the perfect little mystery thriller. I recommend this book.

Knight in Peril may be book #6 in this series, but I definitely think you could read it as a standalone, although I highly recommend that you read them all just to have a little background and insight into who Jorja is and the series as a whole is just fantastic. The suspense alone will pull you right in and you will not want to put it down. Jorja is a strong feisty lead character and relatable. She finds herself traveling foreign country (Istanbul) to meet her best friend Gabriella only to find her missing. Lots of lies, secrets and corruption and more as she is now in a race against time to find her friend. With danger lurking at every corner, you will have to read it to find out if they make it out or not. A definite page turner with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Knight In Peril is the sixth book in the Jorja Knight Mystery series by Alice Bienia. This is a very engrossing mystery with plenty of tension, suspense, action, adventure, danger, dramatic developments, crime and investigation, secrets, lies, greed, corruption, a time crunch, agendas, high stakes, abduction, friendship, and a savvy private investigator. To add an extra element of interest to the story, we are whisked off to Istanbul as this intriguing mystery unravels. We follow Jorja Knight, who we met in the previous books, as she is thrust into a search for her missing friend. They were supposed to meet, but Gabriella has disappeared. Now Jorja is left with the difficult task of searching for her friend in a foreign city with millions of inhabitants to make the task even more difficult. Add in the corruption, secrets, lies, and the urgency of the situation- and Jorja might just be facing her most difficult case yet- one that has hit too close to home for comfort. What happens makes for a gripping read. Even though this is the sixth book in the series, you can read it as a standalone without feeling like you are missing anything. Having said that though, the other books in the series make for great reading too- and contain their own intriguing mysteries for Jorja to solve. They also provide more character information, background stories, and other interesting details which, all combined, will definitely enhance your appreciation of this book, and the series as a whole. “A Knight in Peril” by Alice Bienia is a gripping and thrilling mystery that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. The story centers around PI Jorja Knight, who arrives in Istanbul only to discover that her best friend Gabriella has vanished. As Jorja delves deeper into the case, she is thrust into a dangerous world of lies, secrets, and corruption.
One of the strongest aspects of this book is its atmospheric setting in Istanbul. Bienia’s vivid descriptions bring the ancient city to life, immersing readers in its rich history and mysterious allure. The author has clearly done her research, and the attention to detail shines through in the way she portrays Istanbul’s dark underbelly. Readers will feel as though they are walking the streets alongside Jorja, navigating the twists and turns of the city. And humor along the way, for example, a character who speaks Turkish and English can’t think of a “bucket list” and calls it a “pail list,” lightening the mood. (Side note- I also learned about another version of Cliff’s Notes, called Cole’s Note!).
The pacing of the story is excellent, with Bienia expertly balancing moments of high tension with quieter, introspective scenes. The sense of urgency is palpable as Jorja races against time to find her missing friend. The plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep readers guessing until the very end, making it a truly gripping mystery thriller.

“Knight In The Museum” by Alice Bienia is a gripping installment in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery series, my first one by the author but definitely can be read as a stand alone. In this book, Jorja takes on a case involving the death of a former police officer that was deemed an accident but has left lingering questions for his daughter. As Jorja delves into the case, she uncovers another suspicious death and a connection to a cursed, missing artifact.
One of the standout aspects of this book is the strong and gutsy heroine, Jorja Knight. She is a determined and resourceful investigator who will stop at nothing to find the truth. Her persistence and unwavering commitment to her clients make her an engaging and relatable protagonist. Readers will find themselves rooting for her as she navigates the dangers and challenges of her investigation.
The mystery itself is complex and well-crafted, with twists and turns that keep readers guessing until the end. Bienia does an excellent job of slowly unraveling the layers of the case and building suspense. It is a dark and gritty world of secrets and lies, gluttony and bribery, corrupt politicians and people who will stop at nothing to get what they want. Jorja Knight is independent, feisty, a no-nonsense straight shooter but even she is faces fear as she finds herself in a race against time in the dark underbelly of a foreign country to find the one person that means the world to her before time runs out. Jorja Knight always makes for a fantastic read. She is an investigator I thoroughly enjoy reading. In this story, she’s in Istanbul and her bestie, Gabs, is missing. The author does a wonderful job of taking us on a mysterious adventure through the city. Jorja is following every lead she can. I don’t know how she’s not creeped out when her room is gone through.There are twists and turns through the story along with colorful characters that makes this an amazing adventure. A story I definitely recommend for mystery lovers.

I’ve always loved a who-dun-it and this one intrigued me and what a treat it was !
So Jorja( love the spelling ) is called upon to investigate the death of a former policeman , there are to many questions and too little answers and expertise is needed …..
There’s a lot happening and poor Jorja is almost left battling this one alone while contending with curses , artefacts and what seems to be increasing body count and let’s not forget her own safety is at risk , it seems the closer she gets to truth the more dangerous it gets and someone is hiding something and they’ll doing anything to protect their secrets it’s seems …..

Knight in the Museum is the 5th installment of the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series by Alice Bienia. It follows Jorja as she investigates the mysterious death of an ex-policeman. As she delves deeper into the events leading to his death, she runs into more and more concerning evidence that links him to other recent terrible accidents including other deaths. The whole mystery is made more intriguing by the inclusion of a pre-Columbian jade statue which is rumored to be cursed. This fast-paced story is sure to have you on the edge of your seat. I haven’t read any other work by Ms. Bienia but found the story to flow just fine as a stand-alone. If you like a good mystery with lots of twisty clues and a strong heroine then this book is for you!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Knight In The Museum is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series. The writing of the book was phenomenal. I will be looking for more by the author.
Jorja is thrown for a loop when some guy tries hitching a ride with her. She knew he was up to something shady, but was freaked out when it happened. Then she runs into an old friend. Can things work out for her? The quote I chose for Jorja is: “Adan. Long time no see. Your events are getting bigger and better attended each year. Congratulations! Here’s to a wildly successful night.”

This was my first read by Alice Beinia, and it did not disappoint one bit! Knight in the Museum is the fifth book in a series, but this book was easily read as a stand-alone. You definitely do not have to read the previous four books, but I would recommend, or at least that is what I plan on doing! I’m always up to reading a great mystery, and this book was beyond great! I loved the authors writing style and it was a fast-paced page turner that I did not want to put down! Every time I thought I had figured out where the story was going, I would find myself caught in even more of the mystery. To say this book exceeded my expectations is an understatement! It is not very often that you find a book in a series that can be read as a stand-alone book, but this is one of those finds! Jorja (main character) is an awesome character, and I really enjoyed the story from her perspective. She’s portrayed as a strong character and was a very well thought out character in the story. She is adamant in wanting to find the answers to why several people have died. Jorja goes to extreme lengths to find the answers and on trying to figure out how everything is all connected. The deeper she searches, the further she finds herself from the real truth and who all is truly involved. To find out more…you will just have to read this awesome thriller yourself! Happy reading!!

WOW!!! Such an action packed, thrilling, suspenseful book! I had a hard time putting it down. The things Jorja has to go through to solve the case of the missing jaguar is crazy. She plays her character well and is inspiring to want to be like her, so confident in what she does as a PI. The book flows well all throughout.

Knight in The Museum is the fifth book in the Jorja Knight Private Investigator Mystery Series. These books can be read as standalones, but I plan on going back and reading the previous books in the series because this book was a good one! It was about Jorja Knight, a private investigator looking into the death of her friends father. It had mystery and plot twists, curses and more all around craziness. It was a very good book! I am looking forward to more books by this author, and I would recommend this one to anyone that like a good mystery! Happy reading!

I got drawn to this book mainly because of the title . I love the Night in the museum movies and I was intrigued by what this book could offer. So, despite this being fifth in the series, I still picked it up to see what it is all about. This book falls under the cozy mystery genre. Jojra Knight, a private investigator is contacted by an old friend about a murder. He suspects that his friend Howard is killed whereas everyone decrees it as a suicide. As Jojra begins to talk to Howard’s daughter and digs deep into Howards life, she begins to unravel something else, a cursed item and some real twists and turns. I love cozy mysteries and I really enjoyed this book. Would love to read more from the author.

This book is absolutely a must read. it gives you murder, mystery, curses, a great main character and more. Even though this book is the 5th on the series you could still enjoy it with out reading the previous books. The main character is smart and relatable. Once you start reading it will be impossible to stop. Highly recommend!

Knight in the museum is a new Jorja Knight mystery. This is my first book by this author and my first read in this series. Even though this book is the fifth book in the series I didn’t feel lost of like I was missing something as this mystery was a standalone mystery novel. It had it’s own mystery from wild, interesting beginning, to it’s satisfying ending. Jorja, a private investigator, is contacted by an old friend who knows someone he thinks she can help. His friend, Howard, he suspects, has been killed, but everyone else thinks that he committed suicide. When Jorja begins to talk with Howard’s daughter, and investigate Howard’s life, belongings, and the last case he was working on she begins to unravel a veritable bees nest she wasn’t prepared for. Did it have to do with Howard’s death? Are the other deaths in the area related? This mystery is in the same vein as Agatha Christie and her cozy mysteries. This was full of twists, turns, surprises, and lots of questions. I loved it and I can’t wait to read more of Alice Bienia and the Jorja Knight mysteries.

I grew up a huge Nancy Drew fan and Jorja gives me some Nancy Drew vibes. She’s a personal investigator called in to determine all the who, what, when, where’s of a suspicious murder that involves links to a pre-Columbian artifact. Jorja puts her own personal spin on her tactics, which makes this book enjoyable. This story is full of twists and turns and has some humor sprinkled throughout the adventure.
Alice Bienia is a new-to-me author and this book is Book 5 in a series about Jorja. This book has left me wanting to go back and read the previous books. I did find this one enjoyable on it’s own though. I don’t often comment on the cover of a book but I found this one to be especially enjoyable! The picture and the title is what drew me to this read.
