his book is a recommended quick and easy read for the romantics. The author is able to develop the characters quickly while also giving them enough depth to feel like you know them. The story ended in a way to provide for a longer series focusing on these characters without feeling unfinished. If you like a nice love story, this book is with a read.

The author shares enough personality in character development to feel a connection to the main characters. There is a balance within the romance that made this an easy to read book. While some of the storyline wasn’t relatable, which I typically prefer, it was still enjoyable to read. Definitely a quick read worth your time.

While reading this book, I was convinced more than once that I knew what was going on and who was behind the dark mysteries. The author had another idea and left me with questions until the very end. The balance of good and evil within the book and the characters was wonderful. I finished the book with excitement for future books in this series or by the author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

While reading this book, I was constantly thinking – thinking I knew the truth, thinking I was a step ahead and then thinking I had no idea what I was talking about. Each chapter dove deeper into a complex dynamic between several people, with no clear understanding of truth. The author does a great job at developing characters who are ever changing, or perhaps the author just gives the perspective of change. This book had me curious to the very end and left me thinking about how anyone can have a multitude of stories based on different people’s perspectives.

The author brings billionaires down to earth by creating a group of relatable characters who could be in your own friend group. This book is easy and fun to read. As the first book in the series, the character development provided some insight into possible future storylines while remaining focused on the lead characters. I’ll be reading the next book when it’s available.

The Girl Who EscapedThe Girl Who Escaped by Mark Nolan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book lays out a tragic experience for a young girl which is part of a much larger, and mind blowing, ring of illegal activity. While the story is definitely far from an average experience, it gets the mind reeling for a fan of crime stories and books. The author does a great job with character development, even for the secondary characters, which leaves the reader further invested in the book. It was a slow read for me initially, not due to the storyline so much as life being busy, but as I read further along, I found myself making time to finish the book. I would have liked a few additional twists, but overall this was a good read and worth my time.

This is the second book of the series and the author has successfully bridged the gap between two very different worlds. The characters, those breathing and those who have stopped, are well developed and relatable in some way. As the book delved further into the intertwined worlds and glimpses of the past and present, I wanted to be there to witness the events myself. I look forward to future books by the author.

This easy to read romantic story brought me back to my single, college days. The author did an amazing job balancing relatable heartbreak with the perfect love story, while mixing in just enough doubt. The uncertainty and skepticism throughout the book was realistic for any twenty something who dated and experienced heartbreak. The secondary characters were introduced just enough to allow for further development and spin offs should the author decide to continue this storyline.

This book had me thinking and making prediction after prediction until the very end. What started out as relatable with recent events quickly turned into a nightmare I would never want to live through. The author did a great job building the characters and diving deep enough to make those twists extremely shocking. While the plot is out there, in todays world, it really makes you think if it’s really that far fetched.

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The fourth book in the Bunya Junction series follows the story of the fourth sibling and baby of the bunch. She experiences joy, love, heartache and fear as her life turns in an unexpected direction. As in previous books, the author delves into secondary characters in just enough depth to tie things together. This book had more conflict than the others but was also relatable in that conflict is real and normal.

The relationship between MaryBeth and Elgin shows a level of trust that most relationships never reach. The author’s description of the past that lead to the present is clear enough to grip the reader and give a true sense of healing necessary for Elgin. This book was such a quick read – I was more than halfway done before I realized it. Though I hoped for more depth with previous characters, there was enough reference to the first book to connect the stories. I would have liked more detailed scenes, especially from the bank, but it was still a good book. Len is someone I would like to see further development of in any future books, and hopefully a deeper dive into the family dynamic.

I was invested in the character development between Amy and her team from the first introduction. I was intrigued and fascinated to hear more about the ops and the romance. I felt a sense of kinship with Amy while having no sense of relatability to her character, which only made each page more intense. As the end neared, I was rooting for my version of a happy ending but the storyline was well written and nothing was given away. I cannot wait for additional books and further DAG character development.
