Forged By Secrets is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. All three of these books could be read as standalones, but I would recommend that you read them in order. They are about three brothers, each with their own story. This book features Tyler and Malina. This book is my favorite of the three. It flowed from beginning to end. It was full of secrets, danger and scorching chemistry. Just a perfect weekend read.

Malina has kept her distance from her High School crush but one is all it takes for her to be completely smitten with him but as they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Can it really be that simple?
Malina is working for the Navy Seals and in her darkest dreams would she believe that she would also see her High School Crush Tyler within that environment but one night of too much alcohol and lost inhibitions and his fantasy becomes a reality, then the cold light of day hits her and she returns to normal and tries to ignore Ty as nothing had happened.
Tyler has had a magical night with the Malina in Vegas but she has become offish to him once they are back but he can’t get it out of his head so when he returns back from a mission and finds she is accused of treason and is missing his only instinct is to find her and protect her.
I have read all the books in this series and I was wondering if Tyler would get his time in the limelight as he has always had a bubbling storyline in the other two books, although this is a series each book can be read as a stand-alone story. I loved the chemistry between these two characters and the story ebbs and flows through and is such a page turner. As I have said I have loved the character of Ty in the previous books and this shows the vulnerable side and I’m so glad that he has found a woman in Malina who is smart and a strong character in her own right.
I love the way Amy portrays her female characters with just enough vulnerability to need rescuing but with smarts and intelligence to be an equal to the Alpha males’ roles which just makes reading. I hope there is another book in this series and we get to see all the characters mature into their relationships. I recommend this story and this story so you will not be disappointed.

Amy Mckinley has only gone and wowed me again!! I love her books and this series is one of my faves. Second chance romance is always great and there is plenty of lust and tension in this book. I read this in a day. Hurry up book 4!!

This is book 3 in the series but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this book and I love how characters from the previous books make an appearance too. Melina has a huge secret from her past that she swore she would never tell anyone, however her past seems to be catching up with her and she’s going to need help. Tyler has been waiting for Lina to be ready for a relationship since they were at school, and he’s certain she will be his happy ever after. When Melina is accused of treason, she has nobody to turn to other than Ty, and he doesn’t hesitate to help her. I enjoyed all the twists in this story, and how they all tied into the bigger picture. I got a little frustrated with Lina when she insisted on clinging to the past when she needed to trust Ty and try and move on. The playful banter between the two was sweet and I loved the subtle messages from Ty and his DVD’s. This is a another great book to add to the series.

Forged By Secrets is the third instalment in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. This is another superb romantic suspense story with second chances, secrets, danger, action, adventure, violence, drama, sizzling heat, tension, mystery, surprising developments, and plenty of intrigue. What happens when a Navy SEAL and the new analyst assigned to the unit have a past history together that they never fully got over? What happens when one goes on the run after being accused of treason? Is fate finally giving them a second chance to be together, or did they ruin their one chance at happiness? Malina and Tyler will need to lay it all on the line, if they have any chance of getting through it all. What happens when secrets are laid bare? Forged by Secrets is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. It can be read as a standalone. The first few chapters of the book were a little repetitive regarding Malina’s past and her back and forth with feelings about Ty. Overall, I found the story held my attention once it really got going. It was interesting to see how the situation with the mole played out. Good suspense, elements of danger, and several secrets that create some fascinating twists.

This book would work well as a stand alone, but in the series, it answered a lot of the lingering questions and wrapped up the series well. It is the story of the third Hale brother, Tyler. Having read and enjoyed the previous two books in McKinley’s ‘Deadly Isles Special Ops’ series I was looking forward to this third novel and was definitely not disappointed. In fact this series just keeps getting better. Each book can be read as a standalone story, however I recommend reading the whole series as each book is a great read. I was gripped from page one of ‘Forged by Secrets’ and loved the two main characters, Malina and Tyler. Malina Johansson is an analyst for the Navy SEALs and she works alongside Tyler Hale, a Navy SEAL who she had a crush on in high school. The couple get together after a drunken night in Vegas but afterwards Malina makes it clear it was a one time thing as she does not think Tyler wants a relationship. Meanwhile, Tyler can not get his one night with Malina out of his head and does not know why she’s avoiding him. When he returns from a mission to discover Malina had been accused of a crime and is now missing all he wants to do is find her and keep her safe. Malina knows she’s in trouble as she’s been accused of treason and the only person she trusts to help her is Ty, however first she has something to tell him about their night in Vegas. This is a fairly short read but it’s action packed and fast paced with plenty of plot twists that kept me guessing until the end. The chemistry between Ty and Malina really came across in the story and the descriptive narrative bought both the characters and the setting to life. I found this novel to be an exciting and engaging read. I’m looking forward to future books in this series.

Another fantastic read from this author. It was full of action from beginning to end and it was as I expected from this author. She commands my attention from the very first page until the last. I love her characters they are always well written and great to read about. In this third instalment of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series we follow Malina and Tyler’s story. I loved both of these characters, Tyler was the kind of alpha male I love to read about and I adored Malina! She was strong and sassy! A fantastic heroine! I was with Tyler every step of the way as he tried to find Malina. I would recommend reading this series in order; all of the books have been amazing so far! I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this series!

Forged by Secrets by Amy McKinley is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This author has yet again produced an amazing book with some brilliant characters right at the centre of it. Malina and Tyler have to be my favourite couple of this series so far. They are one those couples that just fit together in such an effortless way and are so exciting to read about. They have a true connection that adds a whole new level to the story. As with the other stories they are fast paced and action packed from beginning to end. This author really knows how to create a gripping story and just keeps the pages turning. This is another 5* read and I would highly suggest everyone reads this series.

I’m thoroughly impressed with this book and especially this series. Forged By Secrets is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series by Amy McKinley. In this book, we meet Malina Johansson who is an analyst for the Navy Seals. Tyler is her high school crush and in one night in Vegas with a whole lot of liquor things definitely changed. However, once they are back home, she becomes guarded and then she gets accused of Treason. Because of this, Tyler comes to her rescue to help fight her current demons and he will not stop until she is proven innocent. Not to mention if either one has a shot at happiness. This book was excellent and something I couldn’t put down. It was definitely a page turner! This is the third book in the series and like I always say…start the series from the beginning. However, you can read this book as a standalone. This author always makes her books easy to read and knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely love this book and this series! You will not be disappointed! I can’t wait for the next book from this author!

Forged by Secrets by Amy McKinley is the 3rd book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. I loved how each book focused on a different brother from the same family. This last book in the series focuses on Ty and Melina, the woman he’s felt a connection with for a long time. They’ve known each other since high school but Ty didn’t make any moves towards her because he knew he’d be enlisting. What a surprise it was to reconnect later when Ty is now a Navy Seal and Melina is one of the computer operators working with his team. This whole series is a wonderful read you can’t help but get sucked in. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I enjoyed this story. This is the third book in this series which I would highly suggest reading the previous two books. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. I enjoy being pulled into the story and her attention to details make you feel part of the story. This book is no different. It is a well developed story that is full of action and romance. This is about one night of drinking and letting down your guard to fall for a hot,steamy Navy Seal. Will he be able to save her as she is accused of treason? They are great, relatable characters that I fell in love with. They made the story for me. I highly recommend this book and this author.

She’s gone and done it again!! Honestly, Amy McKinley’s writing will never get boring to me. I have read all the books in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series and I could not wait to read this one as well.
I love the way McKinley links all the characters in this series and references to characters from the other books within each one. Reading Twisted Secrets and Bound by Secrets and seeing his brothers lives work out and the happiness they had, I was dying to know what Tyler’s story was and who he would end up with and I was in no way disappointed.
This story was – once again – jam packed with everything you could possibly want in a book. It was, action packed, steamy, cute, scary. Every emotion you could think of and McKinley makes you feel it. I found this story particularly gripping due to Malina’s circumstances and the last few chapters of action. There weren’t quite as many shocking twists in this story as the others in the series, but I didn’t mind that at all because the writing and the character development was enough to captivate me throughout. I really couldn’t put this book down and I will definitely be re-reading this entire series at some point.
I hope there will be another book in this series where we can find out what happens next for Xander, Jaxon and Tyler because I love these characters and could read about them all day!

I seriously can never get enough from this author or this series in general! Each book they have written I am Truly captivated and hooked. Each book in this series brings secrets and darkness of the character’s own to light, and I am hooked and mesmerized! It takes a skilled author to truly to achieve that again and again!
I love how each one of these books in the series that brings on two characters that are placed together due to unforeseen circumstances. I loved Luc and Summer so freaking much. They had that chemistry that you only dream about. Their ties together seemed like it was just random, but behind every thing that happens with this Mafia in Chicago, there are secrets or skeletons in the closet that always come to light…whether you like it or not. Summer quickly became a fan favorite for me. her intuition was always spot on, and how she saw the world compared to the females in other books was different and enlightening. I learned so much from the way she sees. The moments she and Luc spent together were amazing, the suspense was to die for as well. I freaking loved this one! Loved it so freaking much!
If you have not had the pleasure of reading this amazing author, I must say read books by them as of right this moment! If you have not read other books in this Mafia series, it is best to read from the 1st one to truly understand and get wrapped up in the affairs of the Mafia. This book alone is a must read, it was perfect in every which way, and I highly do recommend it! It is a must read! I am dead serious about that!
This was an enjoyable read once I started I just couldn’t put it down was a great escape from reality! I am very much loving this series and I’m eager to read more! I do have a soft spot for second chance romances they always seem to hit the spot and I love that even though time has passed there’s always that chance you can be with the one you always loved! Highly recommend.

I want to start by saying absolutely loved this book! I read in one day.
Riley She is a down to earth girl and the girl next door type. She works at a local coffee shop while she takes some courses at a nearby college. In the beautiful Hawaii, she thought she had life planned until her messy break up with her boyfriend, which happens to be one of your professors. He won’t take no for an answer. Meeting Xander wasn’t something planned but she couldn’t him out of her head. Maybe he is exactly what she needs, but when bad things start happening to her and she is feeling threatened she can’t understand why she feels so safe with Xander, but can what they just started survive the nightmare that is her life?
Xander Fresh home after an accident in the Navy SEALs. All he wants to do is get the month out of the way so he can return to work, what he didn’t plan on was meeting the girl that literally take his breath and consume his every thought. As they become friends and more, strange and terrible things start happening to Riley and Xander will do anything to protect and make her feel safe.
This story has it all, love, suspense, twists, and turns. I highly recommend the book and I would even re-read it myself.

Twisted Secrets is the first book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. I loved this book; bring on the romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This story follows Riley and Xander, I loved these two characters! The author did an amazing job writing this book and keeping it detailed. This book has a lot of twists and turns that ensure you stay hooked, I highly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by this author.

This was my first read by Amy McKinley and she definitely did not disappoint. I absolutely love second chance romances. The character build between Kayla and Jaxon is full of passion and lots of tension. A woman running back home from an awful relationship. Only to run into the one person she truly has always wanted to be with. However will the secrets they hide from each other hinder the relationship that is reforming or will their feeling they have for each other out weight the bad.
This book and its author is a must read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Bound by Secrets is the second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. This book brings you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and you will cry a little. I had trouble putting this book down and cannot wait to read the next book. This book follows Kayla and Jaxon through many twists and turns. Kayla is running from an abusive relationship and doesn’t want to put her parent’s lives at risk. This is where Jaxon comes in to the story, he is her brothers best friend and the safest place for her to go. Jaxon is a navy seal who has wanted Kayla since graduation. But can he uphold the promise he made to his best friend? Can he keep Kayla safe?

This was yet another page turner by Amy McKinley and book two in her ‘Deadly Isles Special Ops Series’. It can be read as a standalone story but I recommend the previous book, ‘Twisted Secrets’ as it was a great read. In ‘Bound by Secrets’ book reviewer Kayla Kane is on the run from an abusive boyfriend. Not wanting to put her parents at risk she goes to her brother’s best friend and former Navy SEAL Jaxon for a safe place to stay. Jaxon also happens to be the man that she has been attracted to since for ever and who she shared one unforgettable summer night with a decade ago. Jaxon Hale has never found a woman who compares to Kayla and it was only a promise that he made to Kayla’s brother that stopped him from telling her how he felt about her but now that she’s come back into his life he’s determined to have a relationship with her. He just needs to keep her safe first from her stalker of an ex boyfriend, and so asks Kayla to stay with him. However, they soon discover that living together will be more complicated then they thought as their mutual attraction cannot be denied. When tensions, painful memories and secrets are all bought up and the threat to Kayla gets nearer the couple risk loosing each other for good. This novel has a fast paced storyline and a gripping narrative which had me hooked from the start. I liked the main characters and the chemistry between Kayla and Jaxon really came across and the second chance at love element added to the overall story. The plot had plenty of twists and turns that I was kept guessing until the end. This fairly short novel had a mix of romance, drama, suspense and mystery and I found myself completely immersed in the story.

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Series Book 2) by Amy McKinley. First off I love Amy McKinley. She is one of my favorite authors and anytime I see a book by her I pick it up! This series is so good and this is my favorite book so far! Its the story of Kayla Kane who is a book reviewer and on the run from her abusive ex boyfriend. She is also needing some place to hide out. She finds a place to stay but its with her brothers best friend in her old hometown. This brings up bad memories of losing her brother and his best friend Jaxon Hale was a one night stand of Kayla’s who she has been crushing on ever since. When Jaxon decides he wants to try to make it work with her she is scared. Jaxon is former Navy Seal and has lots of baggage and Kayla has the added baggage of her crazy ex. When she thinks she is safe in Jaxon’s home and lets her guard down her ex sneaks in and Jaxon may lose her forever. Will Jaxon be able to save Kayla and will Kayla trust Jaxon to let down her guard to have a relationship with him. Read Bound by Secrets to find out!

Wow! What a great sequel! Bound by Secrets is the second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series by Amy McKinley. The first book was really good and this one was even better! On the beautiful island of Oahu, Kayla Kane is running from an ex-boyfriend. Not exactly what she wants to be doing. Jaxon Hale is Kayla’s brother’s best-friend. They happen to run into each other when she returns to Honolulu. Jaxon is retired Navy and is now working at the local police department. When Jaxon finds out about how abusive the ex-boyfriend was, she became someone Jaxon is going to protect. I loved these two together. They really did have great chemistry. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book. One’s that I didn’t even see coming. But, I am truly impressed with this author! It was definitely a page turner from the moment that I started to read the book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Sign me up please!
