This novel is amazing. The authors detail and main character development is wonderful. Every scene was easy to picture even though several were quite gruesome. This novel focuses on Detective Edward Petrosky and the changes his character faces.
Having read other novels associated with this series I can say that it can be read as a standalone book. Each book has a different main character but the other characters are mentioned and involved in each. Enough back story and detail are provided to keep the reader from being confused. I absolutely loved this novel. It kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time.

Hidden by Meghan O’Flynn is the fourth book in the Ash Park series. This series needs to be read in the order of the books in order to get the full effect of the ongoing story. This book took some loops and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. There were definitely some surprises with the characters but do make sense as the story progresses. This is a great book for someone who likes gritty, dark, scary, gory books. The story is dark and deadly but is well worth the read.
Hidden: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 4) by Meghan O’Flynn is just ohmygod, ohmygod, OMG. Wow this book in the series had me constantly in a state of hyper awareness every single step of the way, page after page after page, right until the very end. I was so engrossed in the story to the point when reading at work, I jumped, screamed and clawed the roof when a colleague came to ask me something. I also bawled my eyes out at one point that I so did not see coming. It is a safe bet to say that emotions run high and all over the place when you read this one, especially when something happens to one of my favourite characters, OMG I was speechless, stunned, no this could not be happening and finally I was heartbroken. Meghan has now been officially added to my fav author list. Her wordsmithing is outstanding and she paints a picture so vivid you are right there with the characters. Another fantastic story.

Meghan O’Flynn continues to weave such an amazing story. This third installment in the Ash Park series does not disappoint. The psychological thriller grabbed my attention immediately. I found myself covering my eyes as I read; I definitely felt every emotion presented. I loved this book and love the series. I cannot wait to see how the series continues!

Detective Edward Petrosky has always felt the pain of the world like a razor blade in his gut, even more so when he considers the killers who have escaped conviction. But he can’t let that stop him, not after a grandmother is found murdered on her front lawn, the victim of some machete-wielding psycho.
The case is strange from the outset: no one heard a thing despite the public nature of the crime. An unknown child’s footprints cover the property without a trace of the kid. And a grisly discovery in the basement has the entire police force stunned. Nothing makes sense. Whatever secrets their victim had, she’d taken them, quietly, to her grave.
But when another woman’s corpse turns up with a familiar brand on her ribcage, Petrosky realizes the horrible truth: a killer he’d thought was long gone from Ash Park has remained, lurking in their midst. And who knows how many victims this butcher has collected? For those he’s kidnapped, any day might be their last, imprisoned, unseen, with only their screams and a deranged lunatic for company.
Now Petrosky must risk everything he holds sacred to track the most sadistic killer Ash Park has ever seen, a man whose thirst for carnage extends far beyond mere bloodletting. But saving innocent lives will require an unbearable sacrifice.
One from which he may never recover.
Hidden is the emotional fourth book in the hair-raising Ash Park series. If you like Blake Crouch, Dean Koontz, or Paula Hawkins, you’ll love Ash Park.
TEASERS
About Meghan O’Flynn
Meghan O’Flynn is a clinical therapist, writer, artist, wife, and mom. She adores her amazing little boys, dark chocolate, tea, dirty jokes, and back rubs with no strings attached, in that order. Meghan is the bestselling author of The Jilted, Shadow’s Keep, and the Ash Park series–which includes Famished, Conviction, Repressed, Hidden and Redemption–and has penned a number of short stories including “Crimson Snow” and “Alien Landscape.” She is frankly amazed that her wonderful husband still agrees to live with her after reading them and even more shocked that he seems to sleep soundly.

Repressed (An Ash Park Novel #3) by Meghan O’Flynn is a five star novel. This novel picks up a few years after book 2. You could probably read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading it as a series because it is much more comprehensive that way. When we pick up the novel, we are thrown into the middle of the police of Ash Park trying to solve a case about sexual abuse and murder of little boys. The killer has escalated and is now killing his victims instead of just pleasuring himself with the abuse. He has gotten away with it so far but the detectives know they need to figure out what is going on and solve the case before anymore children get hurt. This book is fast paced and busy with the detectives interviewing other people and trying to catch the predator. I love how it was able to hold my attention right from the jump and keep my attention the whole way through.
Repressed By Meghan O’Flynn is volume three in the Ash Park Novel Series. And this by far is the best one that I have read. This book is true definition of a thriller, Very dark, twisted, and fully shows you, not everyone is who they appear to be. O’Flynn again gets down to the dirty so to speak by creating these amazing characters, giving us a mystery that we feel we are in the middle of, and hating when we see those we have grown to love in the series in danger. I just know that each time I get to visit Ash Park, I am never disappointed and always a book that I cannot put down! Another FIVE star read! Morrison is freshly married and content with his life until an old addiction starts to take over his mind and show that the secrets from his past can’t always stay buried. When his wife and daughter come up missing and he learns this monster who truly wants him to suffer from sins he committed years ago. As time is working against him, he must face something he has tried so hard to forget, awakening a monster, to save those he loves. Each book grabs you, and makes you want to read more about Ash Park, but for some reason this book stuck with me, even when I was done and put it down. If you are looking for a good read, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!
Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in the Ash Park Series and is another brilliant addition to the psychological thriller series. Repressed is a lot dark and disturbing, a little chilling and super thrilling. Whenever I read anything from Meghan I know I am in safe hands and always enjoy the fascinating and twisted world in which she weaves. The tension and suspense that built, not only in the story but within myself as I watched what these characters went through was compelling and gripping and had me on edge right the way through. I think this maybe the best book in the series to date. Will they survive all that is thrown at them or give up and give in?
I was so engaged and engrossed in this story that I read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend this book to those who like to read something dark and twisted.

5 Star Repressed : An Ash Park Novel (Volume 3) By Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in her An Ash Park series. I loved this book it was dark, intense and chilling. This is my favorite of this series. If you haven’t read the first two books in this series I definitely recommend reading them as well. Although they can all be read as standalone. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading it. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. There’s a bit of everything in this book, action, suspense and mystery. The more I read in this series the more it’s becoming one of my favorites. I recommend reading not only this Book but the whole series. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is the third book in this series, and I highly reccomend starting from the beginning as its a continuation of characters. This book followed Detective Morrison, whom I wanted to know more about. He just always seemed to know things, or have many friendly talks going with many people and got into so easily. This is yet another dark, twisted, great read from this series and each one leaves me wanting more! Cant wait to read the next one!
Repressed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 3) by Meghan O’Flynn
This book has me on the edge of my seat the entire time I read it. It was very emotional for me as well. I was able to relate to Shannon and her new mom struggles. When they are gone and Morrison was going crazy it had me on the verge of tears. This was an excellent novel despite the emotional roller coaster it took me through. It can be read as a standalone and it is definitely one of those amazing books that stays with you after you finish it. I give it 5 stars.

Wow, what a read! I think I am still trying to process most of the book – I’m definitely glad I read it in the day!! It was dark, gritty and whilst I don’t condone the things that happen in the story it is after all a story, and one that was very well written. The book honestly left me on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion and I did have to put it down a few times to gather my thoughts! The characters were complex, Morrison and Petrosky worked well together. I thought that the story was well paced and it was extremely well written. It’s definitely not for the fain-hearted but the author has done an amazing job with telling such a twisted story that absolutely captivated me from beginning to end. The action never stops and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough so I could see what was going to happen. This could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the series in order. I look forward to the next book in the series!
Imagine feeling so safe, feeling like your past is behind you, UNTIL killings start happening. That is how Hannah felt in Ash Park, just outside Detroit. She tries to tell herself this isn’t tied to her until the killer takes the life of her boyfriend and the killings are centered on the shelter where she volunteers. Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is the first book in the Ash Park series and let me tell you, this book was intense, this book had a plotline that drew you right in, and by the time I hit the last page I was wanting more and more. This is the first I read by this author and it won’t be the last! This thriller, had me at the edge of my seat, with the vivid detail, I could close my eyes and see this town, the characters! Meghan O’Flynn is an amazing author and one I will want to read more of!!
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn us the second book in the Ash Park Series, and let me tell you, this book really got to me on many levels. I was able to really identify with the lead in this book which is something I love when I read a book. Meghan really writes powerful books with strong, passionate characters, mystery to keep you reading more and more, and plots that are very believable. What I found very appealing is the way the author kept me guessing ALLL OF THE TIME! It what made me want to read more and more and get lost in the story. Shannon, loves her job and loves getting crime off the streets of Ash Park. Being the Ash Park district attorney, it’s her job that she has a passion for. When evidence crosses her desk, showing someone she has convicted of a crime she may not have committed, she isn’t very happy. The girl convicted isn’t telling anything, and Shannon for sure knows she is hiding something but even with freedom hanging in front of her she can’t get her to talk. When Shannon is subjected to heinous messages, she knows what she has to do and again Ash Park is NOTHING As it seems!
This was an amazing book! 100% Approved! Conviction is the second book in the Ash Park series written by Meghan O’Flynn. This book follows Shannon Miller who is the Assistant District Attorney for Ash Park and Curt Morrison, who is the detective in the Ash Park Police Department. They started out as best friends, which ultimately lead to the HEA they found themselves in the end. However, this book focuses on Shannon and her family. There is a lot of depth to Shannon that we didn’t know about in the first book. It seems she’s not so hardnosed after all. Curt was always interested in Shannon but let her do her thing until she was ready for him. In the interim there is a killer out there targeting Shannon. You wouldn’t believe who it ends up being! This book is so well written! A complete emotional rollercoaster to which you need lots and lots of tissues. There are so many twists and turns that you don’t see anything coming. I had to remind myself throughout this book that there is a romantic underlining. It had all the suspense of a great murder mystery! I loved every minute of it! Now, there is only one sex scene and it was amazingly perfect! It didn’t need another scene. I also loved that we learned more and more about Curt’s partner Detective Petrosky. His character is really coming through and you really are starting to understand him more. I’m so glad that I started this series and I cannot wait to finish reading all the other books!

Conviction An Ash Park Novel By Meghan O’Flynn ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a suspenseful rollercoaster of so many emotions. There is a romance in the story, but the other side of the story is so much more.
Shannon is a district attorney, working for her ex husband. When she wrongfully convicts the wrong woman. Things just feel wrong. Her husband told her to drop it. What’s done is done. Being the woman Shannon is, she needs to make things right. But with everything, doing what’s right has its consequences. This made be the fight of her life. I never expected the outcome!
Meghan O’Flynn had me on the edge of my seat on page one. Her story is a non stop ride of epic proportions. I have never cried so hard, while reading a book. This one just kept bring the intrigue. I could not put it down. Okay I put it down at 3:30 in the morning. Then I sat and pondered over what I had just read. Cried a little more, then fist pumped at Shannons bravery and strength. Such a great story. If you like suspenseful stories this one’s for you. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Repressed is the brilliant third book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. WOW! This book was intense, dark, disturbing, chilling, graphic, dramatic, and gripping!! This psychological thriller is a superb addition to the series and had me swinging between never wanting to put it down, and needing a break from the tension and suspense. I was glued to the pages from beginning to end, reading it in one sitting- and absolutely loved every mind twisting minute. The series has been such a fantastic read, and this book just took the series to another level. I didn’t think it could get any better, but I was wrong! This book could be read as a standalone, if you wanted to, but there is a recurring cast of characters and snippets of backstory and previous plot information that pop up in this book, so reading all the books would give you a bigger picture and provide a larger, more developed perspective- which in turn will enhance your overall reading experience. The books are all really great- quite intriguing and suspenseful, so you it’s really a win-win situation! I knew when I met Curtis Morrison back in book one that there was going to be so much more to him that what he was letting on, or what we were being shown- and man-oh-man this story really unveils him in a raw and revealing way! His story was startling, intense, emotional, and unforgettable! He has been through so much and come so far, but his past just won’t let him forget! After the harrowing events in the previous book, and Curtis and Shannon getting married and having little Evie, this book picks up with them adjusting to parenthood, Shannon trying to manage with Postpartum depression, and Curtis returning to work after a month off. Things are never simple in Ms. O’Flynn’s world, because it’s not long before we are once more swept into another brilliantly twisted tale. This is definitely the best of the bunch so far! Bring on book #4!

5 Star Conviction :An Ash Park Novel (volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in the An Ash Park series and although it could be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the first book in this series as well . Get ready to be taken on a journey with some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I have enjoyed this series so far and I can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book especially if you want to know what happens next.

Conviction is the second installment in the Ash Park Novels from Meghan O’Flynn. She has quickly become my favorite thriller writer and one-click go to author for this genera. I have never been disappointed with a novel of hers and once again she has managed to top the bar she set with her last. Conviction took me on a riveting, perplexing, and hair-raising journey that I never wanted to end. I absolutely adore Meghan’s knack for making it nearly impossible to figure out the twist before it happens. I am known for being the one that figures out the movie twenty minutes in, and same for most books like this, but never with Meghan’s. I am 80% of the time wrong, and I LOVE it!
Like I said before, this is the second installment in her Ash Park novels. They could be read as standalones, but I would highly recommend that you read them in order. There are a lot of reoccurring characters that make up the team that do the investigations and so forth. I find it would be a travesty to really divulge much of anything else about the plot because I just can’t ruin this book for you. Curl up with your favorite blanket in a comfy spot. Set the mood and settle in for a dark adventure you are sure to enjoy in one sitting. Thanks Meghan O’Flynn for another outstanding thrill!

Conviction was just as captivated as the previous book in this series! I am so into these books, I just want to lock the doors, turn off the phone and do nothing but read for days. I love the mystery and trying to figure out the whodunit, which I admit I once again did not figure out on my own. This book had me all twisted up, and like the book before it, showed there’s badness in almost everyone. Doesn’t mean they’re guilty of that particular crime. I loved this book, am loving the characters, and the messed up area they live in. I can’t wait to read more.

Conviction An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) by Meghan O’Flynn is another winner in this thriller series. The angst, the tension, the lies, the fear and the loss is so strong that you will find yourself creeping closer to the edge of your seat and your shoulders tensing with each passing page. The emotions this story provoke are at times overwhelming and the tears flow but you are so glued to the story and what is happening that you can’t break away. If Meghan makes you feel like you are in the story and it is up to you to work out what is going on but don’t be fooled because what you thought you knew may not be as it seems. This is one book that needs to be read with a good strong drink. Good work Meghan.

Completely Riveting! I could not put this book down! Famished is a novel written by Meghan O’Flynn. It is the first book in the Ash Park series. This author truly is an amazing writer! I love murder mysteries to begin with and have read some of the greats and this book is right up there with them! This story is spoken from many different points of views. However, it mainly follows a woman named Hannah, who is beyond a little bit on the scared and nervous side. It also follows Detective Petrosky who starts as the lead detective following a series of murders in Ash Park. Every character in this story has a dark past that we learn about as the story unfolds. Every character that is mentioned plays a part that makes the bigger picture. Somehow, Hannah plays the biggest part in all of this story. There are so many twists and turns and everything is so calculated. I was completely glued to my kindle! Unlike some of the main murder mystery writers, this author chose to add in some seriously sexy and steamy scenes. These scenes are pretty graphic but written so incredibly well! This story simply blew me away! I loved the writing and the characters and how everything calculatingly unfolds. I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I would definitely recommend this book to any reader who loves murder mysteries. Absolutely Brilliant! There are no other words to describe it!

Meghan O’Flynn is a new to me author and I’m excited to explore more of her novels, especially the rest of the Ash Park series as Famished is book 1, and I enjoyed it alot! I was a little surprised and put out by the relationships in this story because all of the characters struck me as disconnected from their partners. I didn’t feel any passion or spark, and not just with Hannah. With Noelle as well. This took away from the feelings evoked when tragic events happen, lessening the overall edge of your seat excitement. I think what I liked the absolute most was that all of the characters are eccentric. And I LOVED how many twists are in this story. At no point was I 100% positive who the serial killer was, who was next, or why. 4 out of 5 stars!
I will admit I was hesitant going into reading this novel. I ADORE thriller novels. Love the gore and scares, and by all means give me all the twisted intrigue, mystery, with a twisty plot. I want to believe this could be real so I can be scared. See, we live in a pretty scary world already. One, where just watching the daily news is enough to make me want to put three locks on my door and cameras in my home with a fully loaded gun in my nightstand. So what really confused me was when I began to really get into this novel, was all those one star reviews that had me so hesitant to pick up a thriller novel from an author that I adore. I have several points I need to make because it has been really weighing on my mind here. First, Meghan O’Flynn is a clinical therapist and a mother. Can you imagine the horrors she hears and sees on a daily basis while having to go home and live a “normal” life and be a nurturing mother? I struggle as a mother with the guilt of knowing I brought a child into this world that is slowly, each day, becoming more and more depraved to a point where I fear to go to even the grocery store. She gets a backstage pass to this stuff. So yeah it isn’t so shocking to envision the phrase so often used to describe such shocking writing…
“Thomas grinned like a fifteen year old girl with a cock in her ass.”
Umm… you apparently don’t read, watch TV, or go to the mall, etc. I have heard phrases like this be slung around, all too much, sadly in one form or another. This is supposed to be from a depraved person and depicts a state of mind. It is crucial character development.
Second, gore and sex is definitely a major role is this book. Now I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It isn’t a necessary aspect for a thriller book, but for this storyline it was necessary to have the details in order to fulfill the plot. Given that nugget of information you can decide whether you’d like to give it a try or not, but don’t rule it out completely just because it is a part of the story until you consider that. It is not done in distaste or overwritten and everything has its place. I can think of many great horror movies that were amazing because they managed to be detailed with gore and violence to a realistic point. It made the movie realistic and feel as if it happened not was a written script. Those are the ones that get you. Famished does this, and that is a difficult feat!
With that said and out of the way, and if you have decided to keep going you are in for one hell of a thrilling ride. I picked this up about 8:45 at night, it was raining (again) and I just needed something to help me unwind to get to sleep. I had no idea that I would be reading well into the night and devouring this book in one sitting. In fact I am actually typing this review very sleepily at 4 am because I awoke with a start from a disturbing dream (those darn scary bedtime stories) and had to do something to distract myself for a bit. This book is still very much on my mind and I am sure it will be for quite some time. Luckily, Conviction, the second book is available now so I am off to dive right into it after this. I think I am going to skip out on those reviews this time! Happy reading, and scary dreams! Thank you so much Meghan O’Flynn for the bloody amazing thriller!
