Composed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 8)
Composed is the gripping eighth book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series just seems to get grittier, and more compelling the further we go. Each instalment manages to slightly eclipse the previous book- leading me on an intense, thrilling, mind-boggling ride- and giving me many chills and thrills along the way.
As with all the other books in the series, I was completely invested and entirely absorbed by the story. I gave up valuable sleep time to stay up reading, because I couldn’t put it down for a minute, I just had to know how everything played out before I could ‘let go’. But even after closing the book, the story stayed on my mind as I appreciated how cleverly crafted it was- while also anticipating what Book #9 may hold.
Detective Edward Petrosky has been battling his demons, through the series, but even more so in this book. He is put to the test when he has to hunt down a cold-blooded serial killer, deal with his personal issues, and try to save his only ‘real’ friend. The stakes are high, time is of the essence, and the killer is a twisted psychopath. So, with a lot hanging in the balance, everything hinges on Petrosky- and whether or not he can wrestle his demons into submission.
Compelling Reading!

Thank you, Meghan O’Flynn!

Whew!! Petrosky is back and with a bang. I love this guy, even as broken and messed up as he is I love him!

This case made me truly cringe and I’m thinking that is exactly what this author wanted. That part of the story is as usual everything you expect from this author, but the part that has me completely invested is Petrosky fighting his demons every minute of every day. It feels so real and I can almost feel his struggles within myself. This to me makes a good author a Phenomenal author. I never want this series to end and was so so happy to see a #9, but I must admit I can’t wait for it to end so I can sit and read every one of them back to back all over again!

If you have not picked up any of these and you even kind of like this genre, you seriously must read this series. It is in a class of its own and this author can write like nobody’s business and I would put her up against any of the big names you associate with this genre!

Loved It!!

I’ve read most of the book now in this series and I think this is definitely my favourite by far! Wow what a read! I think to keep a series going this long is such an achievement and it honestly just keeps getting better and better. The twists and turns in the story definitely kept me on the edge of seat the whole way through – this one was such an exciting read! I love Petrosky, he’s such an interesting character to read about and I have thoroughly enjoyed following him as he solves all of these cases. The authors writing is style is excellent, really engaging and the stories flow really well. This has been one series that I have loved and enjoyed from the first book. I highly suggest reading all the books in this series to help you see where the characters are coming from. This author has continued to impress me with books that pull me into a suspenseful-mystery from the beginning. They are engaging and the characters make the story easy to read. This book is no different. It is fast paced and a page turner. I had no problems connecting to the characters as they brought the story to life. Petrosky is back in another page turner. In this book not only is he fighting himself but one of the most dangerous types of killer. A woman is murdered but when a second woman is killed, he starts to wonder if there is a copycat. But when his boss is kidnapped the story takes on a new meaning for him. When he refuses to do what the kidnapper wants, he is faced with having only one chance to find the killer before he loses the one person who has been there for him. Will this case wake or silence his demons? You don’t want to miss this book and the twists and turns that will leave you turning pages to the end. I lost track of time with this book and felt I was right there. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Fresh off leave after a justified shooting, Edward Petrosky is battling his own brain as much as he is the world around him. His ex-wife has finally stopped calling, and he’s even pulled away from his neighbors. The chief of police might be the only person helping to keep Petrosky sober.

When a woman is found dead near a local running trail, the city goes on high alert. Not only was the victim posed, but her body had been altered as if a crazy plastic surgeon had taken a scalpel to her. This killer is meticulous, careful—in Petrosky’s experience, the most dangerous kind of psycho. But then a second victim turns up, and she hasn’t been mutilated in quite the same way. Strange for a perfectionist suspect. Had the perp been interrupted, or is there a more sinister explanation? Perhaps they’re dealing with a copycat, or a pair of killers—the citizens of Ash Park might be in more peril than Petrosky had anticipated.

But when the chief of police is abducted, the case shifts into unchartered territory. The killer they’re after doesn’t just want to play with his victims—he wants notoriety. And the only way he’ll get it is if Petrosky opens up about the case, a move that could put the chief’s life in more danger.

And that’s a risk Petrosky cannot take. Petrosky’s only shot is to find their perp before the maniac slices into his boss—the only friend he hasn’t managed to push away. Can he catch the killer and muzzle his demons? Or will this case awaken the devil he’s been trying to silence?

Composed is a dark, twisted, thrill ride from bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. If you like Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes, Dean Koontz’s Jane Hawk, or Emerald O’Brien’s Knox and Sheppard Mysteries, you’ll love this 8th installment from the Ash Park series!

The Ash Park Series Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Krystal Gregory

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and RepressedThe Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved these book! Each was well thought out and detailed in both plot and development.

Famished: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 1 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is one heck of a way to start a series. This is a slow burn type of read. It takes a bit for the main plot to get up and running but when it does. BAM, it takes off of the ground and hits it running. Set in the pits of a run-down suburb of Detroit. There is a serial killer, lurking, picking off women and hacking them into bits.
Hannah is trying to convince herself that she has nothing to do with it, but then, her boyfriend is murdered in the exact same gruesome way and the police name her the number one suspect. Hannah didn’t kill her boyfriend, or any of the other people. The problem is, she knows who did, and unless she does something about it, they will keep killing.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Conviction: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 2 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is intense. If there was ever a white-knuckled thriller, this book would be in the running. I could not turn the pages fast enough on this book. Shannon Taylor is the main character for this book and lord have mercy is she a powerhouse. Being a District Attorney for her city means that she has to be tough as nails and when she has to deal with the lowest of the low, she is as tough as they come, except when it evidence shows that she may have put a young mother in jail for a murder that she didn’t commit. That will crack the edges of even the hardest hearts.
Shannon knows the girls is hiding something but she won’t say what, or who it is and Shannon herself becomes the victim/target of warnings and targeted messages. Shannon has to race against the clock to protect herself and to right the wrong she has done by putting the right person behind bars, she just isn’t sure if she will be put into the ground first.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.
Repressed: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 3 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This third book in this series is beyond amazing. Curtis Morrison has had a rough life, but right now, life is good for him. Newly married, a Detective at Ash Park Police and a baby girl. But all of that comes crashing to a halt when his wife and daughter go missing and his life goes into a tail spin.
Someone from his past is coming back to get him, and they are making his live h*ll. He has spent the better half of his adult life trying to get away from the life he left, but someone does not want him to forget. Someone wants him to remember and they want to make him remember in a way that will hurt him the worst, and time is running out.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book nonetheless. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Overall this series is incredible! I love a good thriller and this one fills that for me.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn shows us just where the Ash Park series began. When Edward joined the military, he knew what he wanted and needed to calm the things around him and then one night his life comes crashing down when he finds his love, his life Heather killed. Slowly things don’t make sense about her murder and when another body is found he then knows that Heathers murder was not an isolated attack. Edward now must take decide if he ruins his career to bring justice to the one he loved and along the way finds he’s not the only one who wants justice for these killings.

This Novella was really a way to get into Edward more, and he is a character that has stayed with me since reading the Ash Park series. Being able to read what drove him and his need for justice kept me still wanting more and more. Meghan O’FLynn truly is an amazing story teller, attention to detail, and her words that drag you right into story and don’t let you go. She kept me guessing to the very end and again we learn that in Ash Park not everyone is innocent!!! Five stars again!!!

This is the beginning of all the madness. We find out how Petrosky ticks. You will finally understand him a little better. The romance in this story was interesting. It wasn’t a slow burn or something quick. It was simple and uncomplicated. The author did an amazing job building you up to let you down. The story was easy to follow and a quick read. Heather made me wonder about her the whole time. The details were too few and plain. There were no witnesses and no family to push for justice. Overall this is a great start. The mystery surrounding everyone keeps you hooked into the story. You want to find out what happened and why. That’s the authors secret weapon.

Salvation:An Ash Park Prequel Novella was a great 5 star read.

Ed is a patrol officer who meets Heather during a prostitution sting. There was something about her that tugged at his heart strings and he ended up falling in love with her.

While out on patrol one night Ed’s whole world gets turned upside down. They come across some men covered in blood, when they search for a victim Ed is shocked at who they find, Heather. Her lifeless body brings Ed to his knees, my heart just broke for him at that moment.

Ed has so many unanswered questions and when another body shows up with some similar connections to Heather things get interesting. Will Ed risk his career to find the killer(s)? Will he get justice for the victims?

Overall this was a great edge of your seat thrilling read. My emotions were all over the place and my heart went out to Ed and the emotions he went through. I had so many thoughts on who the killer could be, I love books that keep you guessing at every turn. All the secondary characters were great. This is the start of the Ash Park Series and it finally gives us some back story to our beloved Edward Petrosky. He joined the Ash Park Police as a Detective to escape the military and his mind. His fiance Heather is his saving grace until he stumbles upon her body half buried in the snow. He’s forbidden to work the case but when another body is found Ed knows there are similarities. Does he risk the career he loves or does he just let the other detectives work the case being no closer to finding out who has done it and risking another body being found.. The other detectives aren’t as sure as Ed is about their being similarities in the two cases and they are working nearly as fast as he would like. If you have loved the Ash Park series as much as me, read this book! Its awesome!

Edward Petrosky, this man. I swear. Every time I hear his name, little tears start to prick my eyes. This Novella is the back story of Edward. Edward joins the Ash Park Police Force to keep from having to join the military. Too many personal demons to face in the military.
One night, working his normal routine at the station. Petrosky gets a call that rocks his world. His fiance, Heather, is found bloody and dead in the snow and he is powerless to do anything for the case. Ordered to say away from the case, Petrosky finds himself slipping away.
When additional murders occurs, Petrosky is convinced there is a serial killer on the loose and the Ash Park Police Department is missing the connection between all of them.
Edward has a decision to make. Either stay the good solder, keep his head down and maintain the beat, or go against orders, track down the leads, stop the killer and get justice for Heather.
I am so glad I read this book. I have loved this character and I wanted to know more about it. A total 5 Star Book!

5+++++++ Stars for the book, the series and this amazingly awesome author.

I actually only read the last 2 of this series and am so hooked I can’t even tell you, I will have the first 3 and actually think I might want this whole series sitting on my bookshelf next to some other authors that write in this genre, I won’t mention their names but you would know who I was talking about if I did mention them. This author deserves to be right next to them and for some of the writing in these stories Id say she even bypassed them, so yeah Im thinking I will add this series to my Christmas list so that I can read it from the very beginning and what a great excuse to read the last two all over again.

I don’t even have the words to explain how I feel about this book…The name this author chose is so spot on and I couldn’t wait to read it, after finishing Hidden I wasn’t quite sure what I would be walking into but I just knew that this author would take care of it and she did not let me down. Oh, thats not saying it was an easy read because it wasnt when some details were explained or we got to hear from a totally different voice, it was those times I just wanted to crawl through the kindle and beat the tar out of someone.

I truly love Petrosky, he’s not easy to love but I absolutely do, and Jackson, simply awesome!! I wasn’t sure at first but that didn’t last long.

I just don’t know what else to say without going into this long drawn out review full of spoilers so I think it is best I just stop and tell you to pick these books up, don’t start on the 4th like I did, go back and read them all, I can tell there’s a lot I missed, although it didn’t hinder my ready at all I still know I must have them all.

Brilliant storyteller, I read it in less than a day, and I will read every book this author writes, she is now firmly placed on my favorites list of all time.

Redemption (An Ash Park Series Novel, #5) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Redemption (Ash Park, #5)Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in her Ash Park Series and I just can’t say enough good things about this one. Each book grips you from page one and takes you in and out of dark places showing you a different terror and characters that willingly walk into that darkness. I can’t say enough good things about O’Flynn and this series, picking book one up was a whim, but I haven’t been able to look the other way since. O’Flynn spins a story so well that it draws you in and leaves you breathless before you realize there was an issue. This book takes place roughly 6 months after book 4, so while each book is written in a way that it could be read as a stand-alone, I totally recommend reading them all in order, so the characters and stories all make the most sense. The brilliant twists, surprises, and tension that unfolded with each of the installments in the Ask Park Series kept me glued to the pages and clamoring to find out what happens next. In Redemption, we are taken full circle, going back to where the journey with these characters all began and getting to see the storyline from a completely different perspective. Getting this back story on the characters, as well as motivations for why they did what they did made this a very interesting take on this series. This book really tied the entire series together making it an even better reading experience.
Detective Petrosky is definitely the star of this book, and while he is very much a broken man, he is going to be pushed to a new limit with this complex investigation that is going to bring the ghosts of past back into play. This investigation really took me for a ride, keeping me on the edge of my seat afraid to turn the lights off. If you are looking for a fantastic read that is guaranteed to keep you coming back for more than this is the book, nay series, for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here, or any other books in O’Flynn’s collection because I just need to get my hands on more of her writing.

This is a complete suspenseful thriller. No spoilers here.

Detective Petrosky is a long time detective. He has been through a lot, and lost a lot. His goal is to stop and catch, The Looking Glass Killer. Not an easy job sense he is one step ahead, of the Detective. But Detective Petrosky will put the case to rest, if it’s the last thing he does. This is not his only case. He must also find the scum that murdered his daughter. The one good thing in his life, was taken tortured, burned alive, and left in a field. This Detective will not rest, until these two cases are solved.

Meghan O’Flynn has written the most intense murder mystery I have read in a long time. This story had me at chapter 1, page one. A non stop thriller, just my kind of story. The characters are just as intense as their story. This has been one of those books you hate to put down. Just enough action to keep you searching for the killer yourself. You must read the series in order. Not for those under 18 or with a weak heart.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 5) by Meghan O’Flynn. I love these books. Its the continuing story of Investigator Petrosky and The Looking Glass Killer. He has promised to protect Hannah Montgomery who reminds him so much of his murdered daughter. He swears he will protect her if its the last thing he does. But when her father ends up murdered he has to wonder if its connected to The Looking Glass Killer. Petrosky is determined to keep Hannah safe and find his daughters killer at the same time. At this point in the series you feel like you can actually feel Petrosky’s pain because he feels like an old friend. This book will cause you to have nightmares but you will love it! They are very twisted and you think you know what’s going to happen next but its never quite what you thought.

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in the Ash Park series. I highly recommend reading the books in order to get the full impact. This continues along the storyline of the prior books and is hard to put down read. There were some terrifying scenes and twists but did not let me down. This was a great end to the series and only improved from book to book. I will be looking for more from O’Flynn in the future because her writing always is a great read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star
Redemption : An Ash Park Novel (Volume 5) By Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in the An Ash Park series. I’m in complete shock and speechless. Holy Cow!This series has pretty much ruined me for any other thriller series. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, bam it does.I loved this entire series and will definitely be rereading this series at some point. All I have to say is if you haven’t started this series do it now!I promise you won’t regret it. This nail biting book wow!Definitely some twists and turns that had me biting my nails while on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Once I started reading there was really no putting it down. Detective Petrosky is my favorite character and in this story he’s fighting not just his demons with his daughter but also this case that is haunting him. Want to find out what happens? I highly recommend reading this book, heck the whole series. I can’t wait to see what this Author brings us next!

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Michelle Austin

Redemption (Ash Park, #5)Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption was a thrilling 5 star read and book 5 in the Ash Park series. I was so excited to get my hands on this book to see how the series ended and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

I really enjoy books that have me trying to figure out things as I’m reading, only to be thrown way off base. There were several twists and turns that added great elements to the story. We continue with Detective Petrosky and the cases he is working on. Could there be a connection between them? Will he finally solve his daughters murder?

I don’t want to give anything away about this great read so be prepared for an intense read that will leave you emotionally spent. Meghan does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. All of the secondary characters were great. It was great how everything tied together in this series finale. I highly suggest reading all of the books in the series before this one.Beware that there are some scenes in the series that could be triggers for some. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Redemption (An Ash Park Novel) – Review by Julie Lounello

Redemption (Ash Park, #5)Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is a five star novel. This is the fifth and last installment of the Ash Park series. With Ash Park being a not so nice neighborhood of Detroit, you can imagine lots of bad things happen there. Petrosky is a detective and ready to move on to the next world. He has lost so much and he sees so much hurt and pain everyday that it is getting harder and harder to deal with. Now his only friend is moving away with her kids. He guesses it will be ok though because he doesn’t really feel like socializing anymore anyway. When his cases take a turn and start blurring lines between his daughter’s case and these new ones, he knows he needs to stick around to solve the case of his daughter. How could this guy still be out there lurking and killing without him figuring out who it is and capturing him. A captivating and riveting story that will keep you turning the pages all the way until the end.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 5)
By Meghan O’Flynn

Redemption is book five in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. I have to say I don’t know how any of these can be a favourite, they are all as good as each other. As with the other books in this series it is very well written, and most dark and twisted. But then what did we expect of this series? Like I have said in my other reviews of this series I probably wouldn’t read at night in bed, if you are like me it will just about give you nightmares. However, I do highly recommend that this series is read, you will not be disappointed at all. The whole series has lots of twists and turns, so if you like reading books that give you goose bumps, have you wondering what’s happening next and murder, then you need to get this series and read it. Thank you, Meghan, for and awesome, scary read.

“YOU MUST BE READY TO BURN YOURSEF

Phantasmagorical! Yup! I pulled out the big guns and used my thesaurus for this review! I was legit running out of words for Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park novels! I hate sounding like a broken record and I want to be as correct as I can. These books are amazing! Buy them all at once! You will want to knock out a day or two, depending on how fast you read, or devour them. I know my family wasn’t very pleased that I ignored them each time I picked one up ha-ha, but I was one that devoured them mostly past my bedtime, and wasn’t so fun the next day though!  I will warn you though, if you read these after dark, they can induce nightmares. (Perfect for that Halloween season that is upon us.)

“Redemption” is the fifth installment of the Ash Park series from Meghan O’Flynn. Here is about where I would really recommend that you go back and read the previous books before you start this one, especially the first one, “Famished”. For this one we go back to the beginning and revisit ‘Looking Glass Killer’ who kidnapped Hannah Montgomery. I have been dying to know what happened to her since the end of Famished. That was a cliffhanger that has been nagging me for four novels now and I was so excited to finally find out how this would all come together. Let me tell you though… In true Meghan O’Flynn fashion there was nothing predictable about it! Nothing! I love this about O’Flynn’s writing! She makes it so much fun to read. I am always some of those that seems to have the movie or book figured out halfway through. It’s an extra treat when I can’t, like an extra bang for my buck! My detective, Petrosky is back and set on figuring out all the pieces of the puzzle, regardless of the danger factor. No spoilers here though. For the juicy bits you will have to pick up a copy for yourself. I will now be waiting with baited breath for the next installment in the series, “The Jilted.” In the meantime, gratefully I there is one more novel by Meghan O’Flynn I can scoop up that I haven’t read yet. Thanks for another great thriller O’Flynn!

Redemption (Ash Park, #5)Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption wraps up this series with twisted little bows. I can’t really believe it’s over, and there’s a lot that happens in these books. I feel connected to the characters, and could read ten more stories about them easily. After how the last book ended, I was shocked at how this one began. I love how everything was brought back around, it even made me want to reread book one. This author is now on my must-read list forever. Fantastic writing that stays with you.

Hidden Ash Park Volume Four By Meghan O’Flynn – Review By Heidi Eich Woodring

Hidden (Ash Park, #4)Hidden by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Meghan O’Flynns, Hidden is book four in the in Ash Park Novel Series. AND this BOOK gutted ME!!! I have read each book in this series and this one was vivid, hard, amazing, and gripped me in ways that I never thought a book could. I have spent so much time in Ash Park and this just shocked me. Meghan truly has created such an amazing book, world, characters that captured my mind and my heart. I truly did NOT put this BOOK down!!! I love a book that lets me feel the emotions the characters are, I love to be able to close my eyes and picture what they are going through and that is WHY I LOVE this series, book, and the author. Her writing style is simply perfection.
Detective Edward Petrosky serves and protects Ash Park, and he refuses to let a killer continue his carnage on his town. A grandmother killed on her front lawn, a finding in the basement that shocks everyone, a clues that show a child was there but no trace of this child. Then another killing and this shows the killer they all thought was gone, IS NOT and the killer is on the loose in Ash Park! Edward will do anything to find this kidnapper and killer, but the question will remain, how much he will have to sacrifice to stop the madness.
