This is the first book that I have read from this author. I liked her style of writing and enjoyed the story. This isn’t your typical werewolf book. The author put an interesting twist to lycanthropy which was refreshing. After reading a few too many romances, this was a pleasant change of pace. The book is more of a mystery/ thriller with some paranormal thrown in.

Joanie Fisher is a doctor researching the lycanthropy gene. After losing her job and her boss ending their affair, Joanie is definitely feeling the blues. As luck would have it, she becomes the sole heiress to her grandfather’s estate. After moving in, she comes face to face with real werewolves. Is it a connection that she loses her job after her grandfather disappears or is someone pulling some strings? Finding a cure for lycanthropy is her life’s work but puts her life in danger as well.

There is not much romance in this novel and what little there is, I’m assuming will lead to more in the next book. I was fine with that because it’s more of a mystery/ thriller. I found Joanie to be a little too resentful and I didn’t particularly like Lonna. They were supposed to be best friends but I found Lonna not really acting as a friend should. This is where I feel the author did her best writing. I liked the characters and at times I didn’t. I understand why they did things. I believe the author understands people very well. Even good people are not nice all of the time given the right motivation. All in all the book peaked my interest and I had fun trying to figure out “who done it”.

Every time I read books by this author, my emotions go through the wringer. She has a special talent of drawing you into her stories and getting you personally attached to her characters. Each one can be read as a stand-alone but is amazing as a boxset because you gave all the books together. Each book has Cupid’s arrows hitting their mark. Each couple falls head over heels and has to overcome hurdles to be together. Each story will warm your heart and have you shedding tears. This is a beautiful boxset. A definite must read!

I was so happy to finally get a book about Chains. We’ve been learning bits and pieces about him throughout the series. In the last book, we found out more about his past that left me intrigued to find out more. Chains has a hard time melding his two worlds together. As the enforcer of the MC, he believes that he should be tough and without weakness. If his brothers ever found out about his other life, he fears that they would never accept him. He’s terrified that he would lose the only stability in his life, his brothers. Keeping secrets is never a good idea and in his case it is life threatening.

This book is definitely a page turner. Filled with drama and suspense, pain and devastation. I was on edge the whole time. The author added some surprises in this book and a twist to the ending. Warning: this book is heartbreaking and ends on a cliffhanger. I’m anxiously waiting for the next book.

Out of all the gods, Cupid is the most ridiculed. The other gods believe he is the weakest amongst them and has the easiest job. Uniting two people in true love takes skill and Eros plans to prove it. Placing a bet with four gods, he challenges them to do his job in their respective seasons. The rules are simple: find two people, help them fall in love without using magic. Respect is at stake. If they are unable to accomplish the task, they must admit that Eros has the harder job and pay him the respect that he deserves.

In this book, Mother Nature is up first. Spring is her season and she’s sure she’s going to win. Finally settling on a town, she finds her target. She soon realizes that’s it not as easy as she thought. Love flows throughout the book and lessons are learned. This is a cute story and a good start to this series. Looking forward to see how the other gods will take on the challenge.

This is Marvel and Virginia’s story. The way they meet is definitely unconventional. Most probably serendipity had a hand in this encounter. They meet during a bank heist. Wrong place, wrong time? In this case it is probably right place, right time. During their time together, they form a bond while revealing their deepest secrets. Was it because neither thought they would live to see another day? Who knows but a connection was formed. Because of Virginia’s infamous past, Marvel feels the need to step in and protect her from the media hounds not realizing that there is a very lethal threat against her. Can Marvel protect Virginia and his heart at the same time?

Every book that I have read in the Satan’s Devils series I have loved. Each story is unique and well thought out. I appreciate that the author doesn’t limit her love stories to the young and beautiful. Her books cover the older generation as well as in this book. This one is definitely worth reading.

Lily has been captured and is a slave within the castle of Wolf Hollow. Her life for the past year has not been pleasant and suddenly turns for the worse when she’s noticed by a few wolves, the Prince himself included. She lives through a harrowing experience to find out that she’s the Prince’s mate. Jason is the next in line for the throne and is currently living under his father’s thumb biding his time until he can take over. A chance encounter allows him to find his mate but she’s one of the human slaves. Can these two overcome circumstances to have their happily ever after?

The story was good but I found that it had a few issues. The story felt rushed to me. There were a lot of sub plots which I’m sure we’re set ups for the rest of the series . To me they were more interesting than the plot of this book. I loved Jason and Dean. The characters interacted well and I enjoyed their banter. I had a hard time connecting to Lily though. One minute she’s weak and lacking confidence, the next she’s strong and snarky. She kept flipping back and forth between the two as if the author couldn’t decide how she wanted this character to be. I think Lily has a lot of potential as well as the story so I will be reading the next book in the series.

The thing that I liked most about this book is that we learned not only about Iron’s past but Chain’s as well. It seems all members of this MC have sordid pasts and we are slowing learning about each. The story mainly centres around Iron and Joy and their trials and tribulations pertaining to their relationship. The trauma that Joy experienced is horrible but you realize how strong she is. She has a lot of work to do still but I see her eventually being alright. Having Chains in on their secret I think is helping him come to terms with his own demons. This was an amazing book. Hoping that the next will pertain more to Chains. I highly recommend this book.

This is my favourite book of the series so far. There was angst, drama and love. This is a fully developed story with well rounded characters. Up until now, Beast has been more of a side character. In this book, we finally learn his story and boy, he has a messed up past. An enemy comes to light threatening his loved ones. He has to swallow his pride and ask for help from the MC. He’s completely flabbergasted with how his brothers step up and support him. Emotions run high and I even shed a few tears reading this book. I loved the ending! It’s a unique Christmas tale (biker style).

This is a well written, cute romance. Although short, it was quite entertaining. Clover is a wonderful girl who unfortunately because of circumstances, is left alone in the world. Besides her name, she is not very lucky. She is looking for love but so far has not found her four leaf clover. Shamrock is the last single man amongst his friends. If reputations are true, he will forever be a gigolo. The two cross paths in an unusual way which leaves quite an impression on him. Can Clover ignore his past so she can have her happily ever after? This is a quick, delightful story that I highly recommend.

This is book two in the Grimm Wolves series. It can be read as a stand-alone. This story focuses on Bullet. Tragedy struck in his young life which causes him nightmares. Still healing from recent events, he must learn that it’s not his fault and that things just happen sometimes. He feels like he let down his MC and his life is spiralling out of control. He meets Clementine at one of his doctors appointments and for once in his life can see a possible future for himself. Can both of them work through their issues to make this relationship work?

This is a short novella which in my opinion should have been longer. We learn some vital information pertaining to Bulllet’s past which should have been expanded upon yet is never mentioned again. Why bring it up at all if you’re not going to explain what happened? I feel that if the author had integrated this into the story, this book could have been an amazing novel. Since it wasn’t, this book felt more like of a short side story to the series. Hoping we learn more about this in the next book of the series.

What follows next is a zany adventure filled with humour, magic, sea witches and tentacles. The characters are delightful and quirky especially the cigar smoking octopus. I would love to read more about these characters. There are so many possibilities to turn this into a series. Hint, hint!

This is my first read from this author. I loved this book and enjoyed the author’s style of writing. The story is fast paced and flowed well. It is filled with mystery, intrigue and some horror. Who isn’t scared of clowns? Even the happy ones are creepy as hell. This book is a total clown apocalypse. Being only fourteen, Abbey is very brave for her age. She’s mature, spunky and I love her passion for 80’s music. I could hear the songs playing in my head. This book is a total thrill ride from beginning to end. The twists and turns will leave you on edge, peeking over your shoulder. This is a great book with a unique story that I highly recommend.

My favourite books to read are paranormal romances. I also enjoy a good MC romance. This book is a blend of both. Despite having a traumatic childhood, Francis a.k.a Stitch grew up to be a gentle giant. At 6’5 full of scars, he’s intimidating. Even after all the cruelty that his parents bestowed upon him, he still has a heart of gold. He always felt like he was split in two. Being a firefighter and part of an MC, satisfies both parts of him. Growing up unloved, Francis never thought that he would find his one true love until he met Grace. One fateful day, Damian walked into his life and through him, Grace. They fill his life with something he never knew he was missing.

I thought the story was good and the characters were so lovable but I had a few issues with this book. Francis had some special abilities that were never really explained. Was he born with them? Did they appear because of the experiments his parents performed on him? Damian had similar abilities which were never explained as well. How does he have them? Did Grace never realize that he had them? Their relationship from day one was perfect. They met, fell in love and their future was set. Yes there were some bumps caused by Grace’s past but their relationship never suffered. It was unrealistic.

I was very disappointed that there were no wolf shifters in the MC. Their name is the Grimm Wolves and the book is supposed to have a paranormal twist. The title is misleading. My biggest issue is the ending. It just stops. It’s not really a cliffhanger but the story doesn’t end. For me, this book is just a set up for the rest of the series. Which is fine, I’ll still read the rest. I just wasn’t expecting this book to end the way that it did.

Gem used to be with the MC Hawks with whom she has a violent past but after leading a quiet life for a couple of years, she yearns for the adrenaline rush again. After joining Rage, she realizes that this MCis not so different from the last. This is an MC romantic suspense story. It involves some danger, drama and betrayal. I love MC stories and I had never read a book by this author before so I was excited to pick this one up.

It’s very different from the usual ones that I read. First off, it’s about a motorcycle gang with speed bikes and racing, not Harleys. Second, the main character is a tough as nails female, which was nice. Although part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. My issue with the book is that I felt that there could have been more development with the relationships between the characters. It seemed as though the author wanted to tell a story but skimmed over all the details, there was no depth. I couldn’t connect to the characters. It could be because I hadn’t read the other books in the series so that could be my fault. Most of the time I didn’t know how much time had passed between events; days, weeks? It is a fast paced story which I find the author had to squeeze within a limit of pages.

I’ve read many books from this author and it’s not her usual type of book. They are usually filled with supernatural adventures. This was a quick read that was steamy and funny. When Emily told Desmond that her goldfish was named Dr. D, I was crying from laughing so hard. The characters at this hospital are the type that you will want to read more about. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a five star rating is that I felt the ending was rushed but other than that, this book was great.

Levi and Brynn haven’t seen each other in ten years. The pain of a first love ending haunts them both. Neither have fully recovered from it. Many things have changed since they were teenagers. Levi is now a professional hockey player (captain no less) and Brynn is recently divorced, striving to gain her freedom and take her life back. Chance has brought them together again and their chemistry is still burning hot. Can they finally have their happily ever after or will the wounds of the past ruin their future together?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written and the characters were likeable. Levi and Brynn’s chemistry was off the charts and their story is so romantic. The thing I love most is that there wasn’t too much drama. The story flowed well, it’s just a feel good read. I’m hoping to read about Tia and Bridger’s story next.

Journeys Through Collection is unlike any boxset you have read. It is classified as science fiction/ fantasy but it also has spirituality woven throughout. Each book is truly original. The stories take place on different planets at different times. Many reminding me of different eras on Earth; Egyptians, Japanese warriors, gladiators and present day. There are many characters and multiple points of view which are constantly changing. I suggest that you pay attention, I got a little list sometimes.

I’m happy that this is a boxset. You need to read these books in order to understand exactly what’s going on. The plot thickens and follows through each book. I don’t usually read this genre but decided to step out of my comfort zone. It was well written and well thought out. If you are a Star Trek fan then you will love these books.

This is book two in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. It was drilled into Else’s head since she was a child that she had to be everything for her husband. She had to be perfect or else he would look elsewhere. She grows up and marries one of the Titans of Manhattan. Anti is sexy, powerful and one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Her career as a real estate agent is going well. Her life is perfect until tragedy hits. By being recently married, can their marriage survive taking a serious hit? They say live conquers all but can they have their happily ever after?

You will travel on an emotional roller coaster as this book will play with your emotions. The author does an excellent job of portraying the heartache that this couple goes through. The story can definitely be a trigger for some readers. Although my heart broke for Else, I was frustrated with her. If she would have just talked to her husband, she could have saved herself so much anguish. This was an amazing story in a fantastic series.

This is book two in the Realm Chronicles. I do suggest that you read this series from the start. Even though Titania saved the realm from the Kobold, she broke two rules of the High Council. Although she is Queen, Justice must be served. If a monarch is not held accountable by their actions, imagine what a commoner will try to get away with. Things could have gone worse but Titania is losing faith and hope.

This book has less action than the first. The author focuses more on Titania’s growth of character. The enemy takes a new form which she has to fight. I loved the addition of her cousins as characters, they added something special. I did get a little tired of Titania’s woe is me attitude. I feel that there was too much repetition with that. Regardless, the book was well written and the story was interesting. I’m looking forward to reading the next part.

This is a fantastic paranormal novel that will keep you interested from start to finish. It has a bit of everything; intrigue, danger, mystery and magic. The world that this author created is fascinating. Magical cities hidden behind veils, side by side with our cities here on earth. It’s quite interesting. The story takes place in a city called Luma as we follow our main character, Harlow Fletcher. Although she works outside of the law, she collects charms for bounty, she’s one of the good guys. Like most women, she’s attracted to pretty things and on her latest raid, she grabs a beautiful sword. This is where the adventure begins! The sword has a mind of its own and gets her into heaps of trouble.

I thought the characters were cool. Aside from Harlow, my favourite has to be the sword. The action made the storyline flow well and kept me wanting more. This was a fun book to read and I’m really happy that it is a series. I can’t wait to read part two!

Although not my favourite genre, I do enjoy dark mafia romances. Since I had never read a book by this author, I was excited to start reading. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. Maybe I set the bar too high because the other dark mafia books were excellent. I don’t know, this book fell flat. The storyline was good but the characters lacked depth which prevented me from connecting to them. This is especially important with the main character. Though I felt bad for everything that she went through, that was the extent of it.

Things were inconsistent and didn’t make sense throughout the book. She joins MI5 as a spy, obviously MI5 would have done multiple background checks on her yet never found out who her parents were? Alex her mentor thought she was a spy before she became one because she was unemotional while being interrogated. She then becomes an emotional wreck trying to commit suicide after being tortured (which is understandable). She goes through worse torture and physical torment yet is mentally stable afterwards as if life is a bed of roses. Doesn’t make sense. I might be judging too harsh because obviously many people enjoyed the book. Warning: advised for 18 years and older, very graphic and violent and may be a trigger for certain readers.

I have read all of this author’s books. Her writing keeps getting better with each no el that she writes. She has a vivid imagination and her stories are unique. This is a short novella but I can see it becoming an interesting series. Most people when they hear “shifter romance “ they automatically think about wolves. I loved that this book’s main character was a vulture shifter. Vultures are natural scavengers and the fact that this character worked with the dead fit perfectly. This book is completely original and unique in its concept. I loved it!
