Heels of Fortune by Lynne Russell is the second book in the PJ Santini series. This is a great continuation of the series. PJ is back in fine form. She has gotten information concerning her husband’s death and it is not good for her. The information has put her in danger. PJ is fantastic character that is easy to relate and fun and feisty. She gets herself in situations but is smart enough to figure out what needs to be done or to get help from PI Tango Daly. I really have enjoyed this series. It moves at a quick pace and is fun and with some suspense. I like the mix of humor and the characters all play a part in the story. I look forward to reading more from Lynne Russell in the future.

Nathalie and Jason were once a hot and heavy couple until he left for University and never looked back. 5 Star Hawke ( Men of Syn Book 1) By Anise Storm is the first Book in the Men of Syn series and a Book that once you start reading won’t be able to put down till the end. Hawke is a wonderfully written romantic suspense with some action and erotic elements. Hawke is opening a BDSM club named Syn and Charolette owns Platinum Dresses which is a planning company .They are trying to get the Grand Opening of Syn planned. What happens when Charolette has a moment of Dejuvu with Hawke? But when she she realizes how she knows him she can’t get the job done fast enough. There is definitely attraction between these two. Can Hawke conquer the Demons from his past? Will he be able to admit his growing attraction or will she be taken away forever? Find out what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book. This is the second book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the first. Charlie’s story continues with her sass and humor. I enjoyed how I was pulled into this story from the beginning. I felt as if I was right there in the story with Charlie. What will happen when a Werewolf asks for her help? Will she be able to master her power before it is too late? She is such a strong character and my favorite. I can’t wait for book three, I highly recommend this book.

Abandoned by Love: Book 1 in the Shattered Hearts Duet by Aleya Michelle. This is such an emotional read. I laughed, I cried, I got angry. Its the story of Jaxon Mayer & Emily Saunders who fell in love at a very young age. Jaxon was a good baseball player and Emily was a gymnast. Their whole lives were about each other only, every second they could spend together they did. They didn’t party with friends, they didn’t go out with friends they were always together until one fateful night and they went to a party together. All I’m going to say is a drunk driver was involved and it doesn’t end well. It changes Emily & Jaxon’s future forever. This story goes back and forth between the present , past and future and I loved the way it was written. This is a sweet, heartbreaking story so be prepared to get involved! I loved it.

I loved this book! It is the second book in the Colorado Chapter series, it is just as great as the first. In this one we get to see Demon and Violet’s story. Demon is the son of the former president. He fails to keep a promise, with that comes consequences. Violet is a single mother on the run but has always been in love with Demon. Will they get a second chance at love? They are great characters that bring the story to life and make it feel real. They pulled me right in. A must read!

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord is the Prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte. I had a hard time putting down once I started reading. We get to learn more about Veloura and her life experiences in this book.At times I was very sad for her and others I was happy. Her parents ignored her but others more than made up for it.When she realizes there is much more to life what happens? Read this book to find out what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book and The Woman America Loves a Latte. I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next.

Shortcuts is a different take on the paranormal young adult novel that had me thoroughly entertained from the beginning. I was instantly swept up in these teenagers lives and I couldn’t wait to see how it played out, though I do have some questions about some of the characters. I thought this story showed a different side of the typical teenage angst story in a way that made it seem new and fresh. This story was full of the stuff I love too, it played on the heartstrings a little in a couple of different ways. It reminded me of being a teenager and made me grateful that I survived it as well as I did. I think this story is good for anyone looking to escape the humdrums of life with a little thrill.
Shortcuts by Amy Bearce a four-star read that will take you away. It is a great story for older children as well as having something for adults as well. The fantasy element of the story is well done, I enjoy the genre but its not one of my favourites at the moment but this one sucked me in, and the story kept me hooked. The characters are real, and you will find something in them that you will identify with. If you like your fantasy with a great story, then you will enjoy this one.

Wheel of Crowns is a three book series and The Werewolf Queen is the first book. Brandi Elledge is an amazing author who has a wild and vivid imagination. Her attention to detail is what keeps me wanting more. The characters are so real that I felt like I was best friends with them. Sadie is the main female character and I felt like I knew her like a BFF. Sadie thought she did not have paranormal powers like her friend do. Until she was eighteen and here comes her powers. What will Sadie do with her powers? Who is the Werewolf Queen and what does business does she have with Sadie?

Abandoned by Love by Aleya Michelle is book one of the Shattered Hearts Duet. This book is so powerful and I couldn’t put it down!
Jaxon and Emily have a love like no other until an accident changes everything. Emily doesn’t expect anything from Jaxon but makes a decision for the both of them that changes their lives. Jaxon has no idea how his life ended up this way but he doesn’t want to deal with the pain.
This book was so emotional. I couldn’t put it down even though my feelings were all over the place. I was frustrated in the beginning with Jaxon’s character. I felt he was being a little selfish but had to remind myself that he didn’t have all the information I had. He redeemed himself as did Emily. These characters were great and very relatable. I don’t know what I would have done if I were in their shoes. It was definitely thought provoking without ruining the story. I can’t wait to read book two.

Heels of Fortune is the second book in the PJ Santini series and I absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed book 1 in the series but I have to say I thought that this one was even better! I just absolutely love PJ she is such an amazing character to read about! She is full of sass and is so feisty – she gets the job done and she won’t let anyone stand in her way! I loved seeing the characters from the first book back again to help PJ uncover the secrets of her late husband! The pace of the story was great and definitely had me hooked from beginning to end. Heels of Fortune was a fantastic 5 star read and I am really looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

I loved this story…Kerry, Willow, and Caleb and Dad won my heart pretty quick. I was hooked from page one and even though there was some pretty serious scenes and issues I still found this story quite sweet and completely enjoyable.
This is my first book by this author and I already want to go grab book 1 of this series and also check out what else this author might have available. The story flowed so nicely and I read it in one sitting. I loved how Kerry and Caleb met and what transpired from that first meeting, and then how they continued to meet, thanks to the adorable Willow.
I highly recommend this story and feel like I’ll recommend both in this series when I am done with the first.

Run to the Sea is the first book in the Reigning Hearts Series by K.G Fletcher. I love Ms. Fletcher’s books, so I was really happy to get my hands on this one. We meet Thomas and Emeline who were childhood best friends- supporting each other through some difficult moments in their childhood. They talked about the future, sharing their hopes and dreams- but all that gets put aside when Thomas ends up working in New York City. He’s back in town after his grandfather’s death, which has resulted in Thomas inheriting a beach house. He soon runs into Emeline, and their past connection quickly comes bubbling to the surface- like all that time never passed and their bond is still strong. But there are hidden feelings- which takes them on an unexpected path. This is a great friends-to-lovers/second chances story full of rediscovery, choices, listening to your heart, trusting yourself, being true to yourself, and taking a chance. The story is sweet, romantic, touching, and engaging. As I would expect from Ms. Fletcher, it is really well written, and the characters are quite endearing. I was hooked right from the beginning and read the story in one sitting. I am looking forward to book #2!

Oh yeah this is going to be good. I really liked how this book went. I was actually hype at the end. Sadie has no magic in her and that makes her an outcast. I felt for her through the story because no one should be treated the way they treated her. But then you get to see all their mouths drop when Sadie turns out to be more than anyone thought. The blurb hooked me right away. I’m a sucker for tragic love affairs and second chance love stories. Emily and Jax are passionately in love and on the track straight to marriage, when Emily leaves him with nothing but a note. Jax feels it’s because of “the accident” that could have been prevented had Jax listened to her. But theres more to it than he knows. This story has edge of your seat suspense and fear from the very first page! However, I must warn that there is Teenage/Young Adult Drinking and Driving and this can be bothersome and triggering for some. Car Accidents can also be bothersome. As well as the aftermath of them. So just beware if you are disturbed or triggered by this. This story has a lot of heartache, but also sheds light on several touchy subjects! I read it cover to cover in 1 day and cant wait for the second book! 5 stars!

I definitely related to this story. You try to be strong so that no one sees the broken parts of you. You push yourself so hard that you don’t notice your fall. This story was so real. The author made you feel like this happened to someone. That at one point in their life they ran from love. That they thought they were better off alone. The characters learned from each other. The Grandmother was my favorite she kept it real through the whole story and never changed.

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift by Lisette Kristensen (Silent Secrets Book One)

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift is actually two different stories. Spin Drift is a short story featured at the end of the first book to tie the storyline into the second book. Sloane is the main character of both and it follows her life after her world is turned upside down. The easy to read storyline quickly captured my interest and I could not put it down. The steamy romance and action helped to keep it entertaining. I also loved the setting and the inclusion of family honor in this book. It was an interesting view into a mafia world. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

The Reason Why was a touching love story. You have two teenagers who have different views and different dreams. Bama lives with two guys who happen to love her. One a best friend the other a blooming love. I felt bad that someone was going to be hurt. Love triangles suck and are something I avoid reading about. No matter the outcome on the end. Someone still hurts. I liked Josh he was super sweet. Hunter was a jerk but I understood why he seemed so angry with the world. I couldn’t believe how Bama’s mother acted after she gave up everything to help her. No real parent would do that to the children they love. Review by @gguerrero89
Hawke was a great 5 star read and book one in the Men of Syn series. This is Charlotte and Nathan’s (Hawke) story.
Hawke is completing the work on his new club Syn and he wants to throw a great party. Some friends have referred him to call Platinum Dreams. When he meets the owner there is something familiar about her.
Charlotte knows who Hawke is almost instantly. He’s the Dom who left her bound at a club and didn’t look back. It was an experience that left her humiliated. They agree to work together to plan the opening party, the more time they spend together the more the attraction builds.

This is one of those books that as i was reading, i was highlighting a bunch of quotes because they offered terrific advice or would be a great motivational poster. There is a lot of good in this book and then there is the main female and her supposed best friend. As I read further into the story, I wanted to hang the quotes and posters in their apartment.
This is a clean story that has a religious undertone, family values and sibling love.
The story started out very strong for me. I liked where the story was heading and how it was going to get there. I thought unless everyone turned into zombies, it couldn’t go wrong. I was wrong. Somewhere along the way it took a hard left turn and it felt like someone else began writing the story. At the end, there are a lot of elements that come into play which need to be tied up before “the end”. The last 3% of the book felt super rushed and left me feeling disappointed.
The good outweighs the rushed so that I’m able to keep my review to 4 stars and keep it on my “I would recommend” list.
Mayhem (Twisted Hearts Love Story #2) by Autumn Sand was a pretty okay read, full of drama, romance, and heavy feels.
My first read from this author, I went in with an open mind as this book is a little out of my comfort zone. The plot line was good, the opening was a right kick to the feels, what a heavy way to start a book. I have to say, I don’t know if it that was the right choice. Not that is wasn’t well written or interesting, it just sets a specific heavy tone for the book, and moving onto that 10 year later, the tone shift didn’t unfortunately, work for me.
Now the MC’s weren’t bad but I did have a problem with Tick at the start. His first meeting with Cyma wasn’t, for me, all that connecting or, good. Yeah sure he saved her and all, but hell, afterwards he was acting worts then the thugs. He was drooling over her, right after the poor girl had a traumatic experience. I don’t know what the author was going for, but I personally found it creepy and it left a bad taste for Tick.
Moving forward, I fell more into this read, and when the plot picked up, things got interesting, and intense. The writing is hooking, and despite my misgivings about Tick at the start of the book, I couldn’t stop reading. The plot elements were great, and the ending was sweet, bringing the story full circle. It was nice to see, and it help redeemed Tick.
Overall this book is a recommendation from me, and take my stamp of approval that you my like all the things I didn’t, but as I have said, the story itself is great, just needs a little find tuning.

Taming the Troublemaker (The Hills of Texas Book 3) by Kadie Scott 5 stars
I’ve absolutely loved this series. And this book had me captured from the start. Autry is the town bed hopper, but he’s changing his ways unbeknownst to anyone for such a sweet reason! After a mix up in the parking lot, he takes notice of Beth, a school teacher but she doesn’t fall for his charm.
These two were great but frustrating and i’m so glad Beth stood her ground and didn’t just accept what he offered with the way he put it out there. I laughed, I cried and I rooted for these two so hard. I cannot wait for the next book!

While this story is about young love it is about true love. Izzibella Beau makes you believe in happily ever afters, no matter what your situation is.
I really liked this story. It had an element of suspense…you could feel that something bad or extremely sad was going to happen…FYI…it does happen. But these characters don’t let it end them, they find solutions and make their new situations work. (See quote above!)
Completely recommend this story to mature readers.
Wild Heart (Hollywood Hearts Book 4) by Belinda Williams is a romantic comedy/suspense featuring some intensely attractive characters. Faith Martin and Cole Cooper have a past with them running into one another years later. Every time these two are in scenes together, the pages sizzle and the words are waiting to burn off the page. Belinda Williams did a great job in delivering a story rife with attraction, remorse, drama and maybe even a bit of adventure. Wild Heart was a great addition to the Hollywood Hearts series and was a great read!!

Lies Come True (The Avery Hart Trilogy Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien is a suspenseful mystery. The author leads the reader through the story setting the stage for the trilogy. The main characters are well established with secondary characters introduced throughout the story. I felt that the story was written in a way that works for this genre and keeps the reader interested wondering where they are being led and questioning what is going to happen next. Avery, the heroine of the story, has had a horrid past to overcome, but she’s survived. Now the new events are occurring and it’s wrecking havoc, bringing forth memories and questioning what’s to come. Definitely a great read for those who enjoy a good mystery.

Past Storm and Fire is a story by Christy Nicholas and I am sure that it will great like her other stories. I was not disappointed. Nicholas writes in a way that grips you in a way like you are in a spider web and do not even realize it. The way she can start the story with Hurricane Andrew and take you back to historic Iceland is mind blowing. Val is the main female character and she is living with Karl, her husband but is she truly happy. She has visions that take her to Iceland. There is another story that is brought to her in visions. As the story grows so does the love I have for Val and Vigdis. Who is Vigdis and what is his role? You will have to read this story and fall in love yourself.
