Lights, Camera, Action is the first book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. It can be read as a standalone, even though there is a piece of the story that isn’t completely wrapped up.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but it turned out to be an amusing read. Even though there is a murderer on the loose, the way the story is written makes it a bit lighter than you would expect. I adored the Alex character. I think I would have made him stew a little bit more than Catherine did though, lol. I mean, boundaries, man. And the councilwoman, she’s an interesting character to follow.
Some colorful characters, a little romance, a little mystery…great way to pass an afternoon.

This book is so sweet, heartbreaking, steamy, romantic and dramatic! I loved everything about this book and the characters were all very lovable.
At first I was annoyed that it took so long to figure out the secret between Hunter and Joshua. The story kept intensely building up for me, and I just wanted to know why they were both acting so weird all of the time around Alabama. I was a little peeved that Alabama wouldn’t just come out and tell Joshua she only thought of him as a friend, I know she wasn’t intentionally leading him on.
Alabama, my heart breaks for her. I love her for her bravery to adapt and face whatever is thrown her way. Her mom is a piece of work, and the fact that she gives up her schooling and a better life for herself to take care of her mother is very admirable.
The tension and drama between Hunter and Alabama is insane. I do love them together as a couple and the love they have for each other could weather anything thrown at them. I highly recommend this book, again great story, great characters, wonderful concept and many heartbreaking moments to make for a wonderful book.
Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 By Manda Mellett Rated 4 stars
I really love reading these books! They are full of drama, action, loving and some smiles. I look forward to starting it every time a new one comes out. This one was no different. This one is based in Colorado. We are still meeting and getting to know the whole Colorado crew. So While reading I make a list of who is who and what they do for the club to help me out. This one is about Demon. We met him in the last book and his story continues in this one. The weaving of the tale is perfect! My only issue with this story is it seems there was too much time spent on denial. The two Main characters denied they liked the other because of past obligations but secretly wanted them. A little bit of that is fine (character development) but about half the book was too much for me. I started losing interest and just wanted the story to move forward. Once it started moving I could hardly put the book down. I ended up reading late into the night and early the next morning. Just wanting to see how everything was going to play out.
I enjoy reading and learning about all the new characters….and meeting some new evil ones. Not to mention interacting with a few we have met before. This is another good story that for the most part is action packed. I love the Intricacies that go one between Demon and his Dad. Their relationship and how they interact is just as fun to read as the rest of the book

I’ve given up on counting how many of this authors books I have already read, I’m slowly but surely making my way through all of them and will continue with anything and everything this author comes out with.
This one just might have edged out all the rest for me, I’m not sure exactly what it was but this one grabbed a hold really quick and I finished it in one sitting. I think one of my favorite things about this author is how she continually revisits places and brings back those that I have loved from other books.
This one seemed to have a few more twists and turns then normal and Im a sucker for being caught off guard, and I love the meeting when they were younger and then seeing each other again many years later. I can not recommend this book enough and I will at some point read the others in this collection as I love the whole concept of this story and love finding new authors.
Love this book, and as always love this author, it always kind of feels like coming home when I read her stories.

Although this could easily be read as a stand alone, to enjoy the most fun and laughter from this novella, I suggest reading the series. Although most people have probably wondered if they will go to heaven or hell when they die, no one considers a third option. That is exactly what the Green Room is. In book three, we meet Kitty Eatin in the after-life. As her new friends fill her in on some of the important things to know in this purgatory like revenge jobs, champagne with absinthe and Dr. Draper, Kitty is determined to reconnect with the love of her life with the help of a ghostologist, scientist, and the technology in The Green Room.

The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is an extremely emotional story that will pull you in and not let go until you’ve finished the story.
Alabama hasn’t had an easy life. It gets a little more difficult when her mom is sent to rehab and she moves in with her mom’s best friend. Things seem to be looking up until Alabama realizes she’s caught between two brothers. Joshua instantly becomes a great friend even though he wants more from Alabama. Hunter doesn’t hide his distaste for Alabama living with them but Alabama can’t help how she feels for him. Will Alabama’s feelings create a rift between the brothers?
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I had a roller coaster of emotions the whole way through. I absolutely recommend this book!!
Mayhem: A Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand 5-Stars
Mayhem begins with mist compelling scene that really pulled me in and set the tone for the story. It seriously had me in tears and I loved seeing the main character come to terms with what happened later on. Dante was an amazing gentleman yet also played his role as protective bad boy well. Cyma had a unique name and I loved how strong she was as a mother, lover, and woman in general. I really felt like this story was full of action and romance while maintaining the ability to be an easy read. Cyma and Dante both were complex characters to begin with but I felt that they changed as time went on. I loved how this story played out! I definitely recommend this novel!

Spar by Randi Perrin is a five star novel. I absolutely loved the way the author was able to draw me in to Chloe and Locke and their lives. Locke is from down under and Chloe is drawn to him immediately. Their love blooms fast, hard, and crazy. Would they be able to keep it up or will it all fall apart? They met at a Taekwondo tournament. He was the judge and she was the number 1 contender. He couldn’t take his eyes off her the whole time and new he had to figure out a way to get to know her. As their lives become intertwined, they have some disagreements that tear them apart. How can they find their way back to each other without compromising their own beliefs?
Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland is a supernatural paranormal romance story that grabbed my attention and kept me intrigued from start to finish. It is not your average vampire story and it was good to read something a little different. I love me a good supernatural paranormal story and this one is unique and a little thrilling. There is plenty of passion and drama, lots of angst and political vampire factions that made for an exciting tale. I loved the chemistry and bond between the two main characters which made this a beautiful story. But let’s not forget the secondary characters are just as interesting and also made a pivotal difference. The ending was fabulous.
Alex has been alone for hundreds of years and never met someone who makes him feel the way the mysterious woman in his clinic has ever made him feel. She is like an addiction.
Elizabeth is lonely, she longs for that special someone to share her life with but she never thought it would be the mysterious doctor who turns out to be much more than she thought.
This wonderful tale is one that no one should miss and you will love it just as much as I did. I can not wait for the next installment.

When you’re the right of the mafia boss you don’t need much. Tick is a man who gets what he wants or he takes it. Through the whole book I was torn over liking and disliking him. How can a man be so soft and hard at the same time. Cyma was a little weak for my taste but she was a good character. The author is giving us so much in this series. The characters are well written and the story holds your attention. I really like how these men and women are coming together in unlikely situations. Things We Lost by Shae Banks is book one of the Loving Locksley series. This is a story about second chances. I was pulled in right from the beginning and couldn’t put it down!

Jason and Nathalie have a lot of chemistry. You can almost sense it just from reading their story. There are so many emotions in this book. I wasn’t expecting the turn of events and I definitely couldn’t stop reading until I finished. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

This story was a real page turner for me. LIES COME TRUE is book 1 in the Avery Hart trilogy and holy moly if the next two are as good as this one, I will never get chores done until the very last page.
This is one of those books that I desperately wanted to skip ahead to find out how it resolves itself. There are A LOT of characters and sometimes I had to slow down to remember who was who. The story has a very strong plot point that involves mis-direction, murder, and mystery. There were parts that made me grateful I wasn’t reading it home alone. It is NOT horror, but there was a noise in the dark that gave me pause.
While this is a long book with lots of chapters, each chapter was on the shorter side so it was easy to navigate from the beginning to the end.
I absolutely will be downloading the second and third books in the trilogy because I need to know who/what/why/how/when IMMEDIATELY.

I really enjoyed the suspense and the action in this story. This book kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time and I kept trying to figure out who is the person behind this. There were some surprises that I didn’t see coming, which made this story that much more interesting. There are wonderful characters in this book and I hope to get to them even better in the next two installments. I must warn you that this book ends on a major cliffhanger, but that just means that I have to start reading the next one right away. I highly recommend this book.

I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I at times felt like I was on a emotional rollercoaster ride with my emotions all over the. Things We Lost by Shae Banks is the first book in the Loving Locksley series and as my first read by this author, I was surprised how fast I was attached to Nathalie and Jason’s story. After thirteen years of never knowing the real reason as to why Jason “ghosted” Nathalie, can she forgive him? And will Nathalie give their relationship a second chance?
This couple had a lot of cute moments leading up to the first coffee date. Jason won me over just by everything he did or said to prove that Nathalie could trust him with her heart. I would agree with some reviewers that some parts of the book were predictable, but I read a lot of romance books. I see certain things and I think I know how things are going to playing out but that didn’t stop me from really liking this story and wanting more from these characters and author. I really want a book about Nathalie’s best friend Haylie.

Next Door Knight is the second book in Nicole Flockton’s Man’s Best Friend series. It is a beautifully crafted story of second chances at life. I read it as a standalone and I didn’t miss not having read the first book. I want to read the first book though as I would like to know Isabella and Ethan’s story. Next Door Knight is the story of Caleb Bradshaw, a K9 airman on medical leave, and Kerry Williams, learning to live again after being grinded to the ground by her ex – next door neighbours and each with their own baggage, and let’s not forget about Kerry’s therapy dog Willow who at times steals the show! Yes, it is a love story but in its true essence it is a story of letting go and starting to heal. I loved how deep the writer took us into the depth of the emotional trauma that the soldiers go through when in the combat, the toll that their struggle takes on themselves and their families … I admire the way the writer handles the fragility that the ones surviving an abusive relationship starts rebuilding their life … and to top it all off, giving us Caleb and Kerry’s stories from their point of view, the writer lets us to see deep into the characters and their struggle. I am looking forward to discovering more in the series and will go and pick up book one now! Here we go Isabella and Ethan!

Mayhem (Twisted Hearts Love Story Book 2) by Autumn Sand is a contemporary romance/suspense. This novel was an engaging read that kept me wondering what was waiting around the corner. Drama was surfacing in this story in almost every corner. Tick was the epitome of an alpha male, but in the most amazing ways. His character knew no bounds and was strong, insanely protective and at the same time charming and soft. Cyma’s life changed when Tick came in. The interactions between Cyma and Tick were phenomenal and the epitome of a push and pull relationship. The attraction was undeniable, having the wills were strong between the two and it becomes a question can they really take a chance or will the shadows waiting to pounce take everything down with them? Autumn Sand delivered a great story that fits well with the theme of the series.

Hate to Love You (Baker’s Bunch Book 1) by Lily Ryan is a new adult/college second chance romance. What more can you ask from a story where the younger sister has a crush on her older brother’s best friend? Of course, grab that book and sit in for an enjoyable read!! Hate to Love You was a novel that held emotional shifts, along with secret desires, drama and additional antics that ensued. Sam was a great heroine in this story showing much strength when you’d anticipate most to cave to all the events occurring around them – but Sam was remarkable. Cole was a little more back and forth, but at the same time endearing and direct in his convictions. There were times that I just wanted to toss the two of them into a room to clear up events that occurred, but the way the author had the story play out worked for them. A great start to the Baker’s Bunch series.

Things we lost by Shae Banks is the first book in the series called Loving Locksley which is a romance about second chance love. The author gave us a quick and fun read that I was able to read in one sitting. Jason and Nathalie have a past and one night after running into each other 13 years later, that past smacks them both in the face. 13 Years ago Jason walled away from Nathalie without a goodbye and broke her heart. Fast forward to a girl’s night out after she lands a job close to home, she runs into her past. Jason knows he was crazy to let her go and wants a chance with her. A coffee leads to Jason winning a second chance but after years apart, can these two land the happy ending they want and deserve! I really loved this book and the characters just really wished the story was a touch longer as I really just loved the storyline. I give this book 5 stars.

Rafferty (Default Distraction Book Two) by A.S. Roberts 5-stars
Rafferty is the second novel in the Default Distraction series. The timeline for this novel occurs along with that of the first book in the series. There were several scenes that occurred in this book that also occurred in the first. I liked that about this novel. With that being said, I do feel that it could be read as a standalone. There is enough detail for the main characters of this second novel to keep the reader from being confused. Raff and Lauren were madly in love until he left her. Now he has moved back and all the pain and emotions Lauren has held back have spilled over the dam. I loved watching the two fight their love and then slowly rekindle it. The story was very easy to follow and was addicting from the cover to the end. It easily deserves 5-stars and I look forward to more in this series.

This was my first read from this author and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this read. Lily Ryan has a brilliant writing style, with great characters and a plot that was captivating and flows seamlessly from chapter to chapter. This was a brilliant romance read with all the feels. You could tell immediately that Cole & Sam were meant to be together from the feelings they have had for each other over the years, and all throughout the read, you can’t help but wish that they finally get a HEA. But is possible that the secrets they have been keeping, in order to protect those they care about will come out? Will they get a HEA? This book was steamy in all the right ways, it keeps you turning the pages wanting to find out what would happen next, I grew to love Cole & Samantha together more and more in this read, they were relatable, real & likeable characters from the start and they just continued to make the story better and better the more their journey got told!
I can’t wait to see what else this author brings, but until then this isn’t a book to be missed, I highly recommend this read!

Lies Come True by Emerald O’Brien is the first book in The Avery Hart trilogy. This book is full of mystery and intrigue that will keep you reading. Heels of Fortune is the second book in the PJ Santini Series by Lynne Russell. It is a great second instalment and continues the adventures of PJ Santini. It’s a private eye mystery with a fast pace, danger, suspense, and that somewhat sarcastic sense of humour I loved from the first book. We met PJ Santini in the first book Hell On Heels- she’s a smart, independent, witty, stubborn, and inquisitive television news reporter who moonlights as a private eye. We follow her on her latest investigation as she uncovers some shocking details about her late husband- which brings much danger and threatens her life. As with the first book, there were edge of my seat moments, as well as some seriously funny scenes. I can’t wait to see what PJ gets up to next! A fun read!

Temptation and Seduction by L.M Mountford is a collection of 6 short stories that range from friends to lovers, a mafia princess’ adventures, a paranormal college romp, a taboo/forbidden story, and tales of temptation. This is a very quick and easy read and I think because of the type of story this is and the fact that each ‘book’ in the collection is so short, it’s one you can enjoy when your reading time is limited because you can easily read one or more of the ‘books’ in under an hour, so you can pick it up and put it down, without feeling like you are left hanging. I really wanted to like this book so much more than I did. But there isn’t a lot of depth, or character development to the storyline- because they are so short. I would have much preferred to read them as ‘full-length’ novels instead. But if you like your stories with less depth and more titillating and ribald content, then this is the collection for you. Stepdaddy’s Bad Girl Eric is determined to subdue his rebellious stepdaughter, and he thinks he know exactly how to get her to submit. But with her feisty attitude, it won’t be so easy. This is a taboo story, with violent encounters, dominance, and elements of BDSM- it really made me a little uncomfortable to read it. Don’t get me wrong, I love taboo stories, dark romance, and stories of ‘submission’ (my kindle content will attest) – but this was more like a really bad porno from a very lecherous point of view- and so I found myself a little disgusted at what I was reading, and didn’t find it erotic at all. I think if it was worked over and expanded, and we were given backstories and the time to invest in the characters- this story could be quite a good taboo read.
Sweet Temptations Richard who is married with a lovely wife and young child- finds himself tempted by his pretty young babysitter. She has a crush on him, and is very ‘flirty’- so he is having very lustful thoughts. Will the temptation be too much to resist?

Next Door Knight is the second book in the Man’s Best Friend Series by Nicole Flockton. This is my first read by Ms. Flockton, so I was looking forward to seeing how well she could tell a story. I was definitely entertained by what I found. There is a lot to like… Is it a wonderful story about second chances, forgiveness, new beginnings, patience, friendship, and love…… CHECK. Is it well written and engaging……CHECK. Are there well developed and endearing characters who get you invested in them and the outcome of their story…… CHECK. Is there an adorable, scene stealing pooch you wish you could adopt…. CHECK. Will this feelgood story leave you with a smile on your face….CHECK.
I won’t want to go into the story, as the blurb really does a great job of what you can expect going in. I felt that although the cover is cute, it doesn’t really “stand-out” and doesn’t immediately make you want to take a second look. If this book hadn’t been recommended to me I probably would have passed it by without a second look, and that would have been a shame, as the story really is worth reading! I now want to go back and read book one and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the release of book #3.

I give Next Door Knight (Man’s Best Friend Book 2) by Nicole Flockton, 4 stars.
Kerry is now single and having to take care of her retired, injured father. When her father’s caretaker does not show up, Kerry must find an alternative. She cannot afford to lose her job. So she does something absolutely crazy — she asks the man next door, who she barely knows, if he will stay with her father for a few hours. Amazingly, he agrees. Sure, he could be a serial killer, but her dog likes him and she is never wrong. That’s good enough, right? Oh and has she mentioned how extremely hot he is?
Caleb is on injury leave from the military. But it wasn’t just physical pain he indured. He also lost his K-9 partner too. This has devastated him and he never wants to be near a dog again. But when he meets his sexy neighbor with the dog who won’t say no, he starts feeling things he hasn’t felt in a long time. But he can’t let himself feel these things. Can he?
This was a great book. I love animals, so I was looking forward to reading this. I haven’t read a book with a therapy dog in it like this, so I was even more impressed. The characters are great — they all have their own issues, but are fun too. Not to mention Willow herself is a force to be reckoned with. The story is great — sad at times, but realistic. You can definitely see these as people you would know and love.
If you like a fun romance with a furry little friend thrown in for more adventure, this book is for you.

Winging It is the first book in the Destiny Rules Series by Lisa Gail Green. It is a really fun, light-hearted fantasy: with magic, fairies, humour, adventure, action, a little suspense, and wonderful world building. The way the ‘world’ and story were woven together, was quite cleverly done- and made the fantasy aspects seem very realistic and believable. We meet Zach who has just had his world turned upside down, when he discovers that not only is his mother a ‘fairy godmother’- but he’s a fairy too. His adventure begins when his mother is injured, and he has to step in to take over and finish all her assignments. There is a lot at stake in this time sensitive story, and Zach will find himself tested. I really enjoyed this charming story, even if the teenage angst, thoughts, and dialog frustrated me at times. I read it in one easy sitting- and love the way the story ended! I will definitely be reading book #2.

The Reason Why is a Breathless Series Novel by Izzibella Beau. It is a Young Adult/New Adult story that has a lot going on in it. From the complex characters, wonderful story, and the emotional and touching moments- this story held my attention the whole way through. It’s a descriptively detailed and well-written story that captures all the angst and inner turmoil the character/s are going through. We meet Alabama, who is 18 years old. She’s had a pretty rough childhood. Her mother is a real piece of work, that’s for sure! So, when her mother has to attend rehab, Alabama goes to live with her mother’s friend, and her two ‘boys’. And so the story takes flight. There is friendship, a bit of a love triangle, self-discovery, coming of age, yearning, drama, and plenty of angst. I really felt for Alabama and cheered her on from the sidelines. I really wanted her to succeed and get her chance at a HEA. She’s one of those characters that make you want to hug and nurture them. The story itself was a little predictable, but that didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of it. So, if you love a good YA story that takes you on an interesting and emotional journey, then this really is the book for you. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work.

After Hurricane Nina, Rand’s Resolution (Hot Hunks-Steamy Romance Collection) by Tamara Ferguson was a sweet, easy read, that had me hooked.
Not my first read by this author, I was excited to get my hands on it, I was not disappointed. Well written and easy to read, I fell right into this book, and I didn’t want to leave.
Coming in at 175 pages this isn’t an overall long read, but it though it was short it managed to dig its claws into you. Told in dual POV we get both sides of the story. I like knowing what each was thinking, and seeing the way Cara changed her mind about Rand was intriguing and realistic. Just goes show, that you should make your own observations before forming an impression on someone. The serendipitous meeting was a nice touch, and it just makes you root for them all the same. I have to warn you though this book start out sweet there is a turn, dark, tragic, and a little suspenseful. When I say this little read packs a punch, it does.
Overall this book is a soil read, and it gets my super high recommendation and my stamp pf approval.
