This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This is a story of secrets and deception. The story goes back and forth between the past and the present. This was done very well and in a way that I was able to keep up with what was happening. I also enjoyed the characters as they brought the story to life and pulled me into their world. The twists and turns that they took me on kept me turning pages fast. Joel and Clancy have a secret that they claim they can’t remember but is it true? What happened that one night that changed things for them? This is a great story which I don’t regret picking up. I highly recommend this book.

I loved reading the story Throwback by Zeia Jameson. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Jeremy and Livy. What they find with each other is friendship, passion, love, and hope. Until the unexpected threatens the life that they are building together. Will a glimpse of the past help them to find their footing? What does the future hold for Livy and Jeremy? Read this book to find out. This is a story that includes powerful emotions. I found my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I grew to care about Jeremy and Livy and wanted them to be happy. The story has both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. There are times when I would smile or laugh and others when I had tears in my eyes. This book touched my heart. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interacted with Livy and Jeremy. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not want to put down. I highly recommend reading it.

I give High Fae Academy – Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance by Kaylin Peyerk, 5 stars.
Ok, I will admit one thing right here — not too long ago, I recently read a book by another author where the main character controlled all the elements and went to an academy, where she was suddenly attracted to five different guys. So when I started this book, I loved the characters, but was expecting a similar story. Well, this author threw me a bunch of curve balls, including one major one (I will not give it away, but you will know when you read it). I literally stopped and had to think about that one. There has not been a book to do that to me in a VERY long time. Yeah I have been surprised by plot twists, but I quickly move on. The addition here was so great, it immediately raised the bar for me.
Now, back to the book itself. The characters were fun and interesting. I feel like we could learn some more about them, but I’m guessing we will as time goes on. The story is great too. Let’s face it, the supernatural academy romace seems to be becoming it’s own subgenre, but I enjoyed how the author handled this. She made it her own, not just another one in a long line. I eagerly await the chance to read book two, I’m sure the author has many surprises in store.

Read Between The Lines is the first book in the Freshwater series by Belinda Williams. It was the first time that I had read any of this author’s work but judging by how much I enjoyed this book, I’ll definitely be looking out for more in this series and other works by this author. Kat Chalmers is a successful current affair presenter on TV. She’s a very independent woman with fantastic interview skills which she uses to get to know her handsome new neighbour Matt Goodridge. Matt previously worked as a paramedic but has retrained as an obstetrician and has a secret that he’s determined to keep to himself. Will Kat use her interview skills and discover what Matt is trying to hide? This is a fantastic story that will draw you in from the very beginning and take you on a fantastic journey throughout the whole story. The story flows very well and has great, well written characters that you can really relate to. One thing I loves about this book is that it tackles the sometimes taboo subject of mental illness. As someone who has suffered from depression and anxiety all my adult life, I love that this author chose to tackle this brave subject and did so with great compassion, raising awareness for this often stigmatised condition. Kudos to Belinda Williams for this. 100% recommend this book to others.

I was drawn to this book from a series I recently read and enjoyed. Plus, I love anything mythical and magical of the sorts. So, here goes nothing: First let me tell you what it’s all about. My review will follow: This book gives us a glimpse inside of a fantasy world, we follow Tiana, an elemental fae, who can control all five elements but she’s wanted nothing but a regular life. She’s tried to evade the school for High Fae Academy for gifted supernaturals. A 21-year deflection, a recruiter, Orin, reaches out to her for a Great War. In the midst of a fresh start, an explanation and training under her mentor, she can’t help how she feels for him. Tiana’s powers have minds of their own as they take her life on an unexpected path in this world of fantasy.

I’ll start this review by saying I’m a huge true crime fan of anything and everything in real life outside of books, TV shows, movies. Anything goes when it comes to this particular genre. My curiosity always gets the best of me and not just for the victims but for the people who commit such atrocities against humanity. But anyway, here goes nothing with this review: In this novel, we follow a successful attorney with an A-one record and a client guilty of the crime before him but how far would she go to maintain her supreme record to free her client? In this book, we follow prosecutor Genevive Holt who finds excitement in getting bad guys off the streets. She’s not been beaten in court thanks to her mentor/boss, Perry. But Perry’s been charged with the heinous crime against his own family (killing his wife and kids), she’s called to defend his innocence. She soon comes to question his innocence after letting him go free when she discovers him throwing a few too many festivities at the scene of the crime and sneaking around with a gorgeous woman. Soon after she’s up to find out what he’s up to while trolling him but she finds the same detective who suggested she not take the case to begin with threatens to arrest her for stalking if she doesn’t stop. Holt must decide if she should save her career by letting a killer go free or bring justice to the victims by placing him where he belongs: Behind bars. . . This is the second standalone novel of a series that had me on the edge. I’m hooked! I’d like to say I love this author and how she builds up suspense in her books. That alone will have you on the edge of your seat eager to read page for page. I couldn’t put this one down till I was finished.

We follow the life of a young, seventeen year old abnormal teen. About two years ago, her life changed as she knew it. Intentionally, she hid herself away from the world to prevent herself from being used as a lab rat or for those who dislike her differences. She rules the island where she embraces her loneliness. When new details emerge about her condition she feels treacherous. Her tranquility is broken. Unavoidable conditions force her to trust foreigners. Even if it means ending it all. This book was action-packed, full of entertainment, wonderful characters and an unpredictable ending. Great read!

McEwen – Review by Faith Jackson
This is a juicy fantasy thriller if I’ve ever read one and I’ve been excited to read it. I found this book to be entertaining, witty and a page-turner. With a serial killer on the run, a perplexed enigma about Aiden’s former life, Aiden and Fouchard must walk on eggshells through two different worlds between magic and myth where they’re not in power or seeking victory. Aiden Mercer has a beautiful life on the beach where he relaxes for a living especially after a life as a former respected detective. In the magical community, everybody is turning to him to solve the case of the serial killer on the loose to which he’d have to put his relaxation on hold again. Naël is an argumentative merman raising and keeping his sister safe from harm. As a suspect of these murders, he seeks out Aiden’s help to prove his innocence. Naël knows Aiden will be unstoppable and hardworking to prove his innocence. Naël and Aiden’s chemistry is secure and impassive but Naël is persistent while Aiden builds walls to keep him out. Their banter makes them vulnerable for a killer out to get them both.

High Fae Academy – Year One is a great first book in this paranormal romance series. I do think there could have been more drama with Tiana and each of the men she is training with to hone her powers but overall a fantastic book and a nice concept. The only reason I wish there were more is because I would have liked to see more interactions with each of the men training her, to see her develop her relationships with them instead of choosing her mate right away. Again, I don’t hate this about the book, just an observation. I can guess who she is going to choose and I look forward to watching their relationship grow, and seeing him get over some of his past to be able to look to a future with the new queen. The concept of their being a dark fae counterpart to every light fae is fun, and I really can’t wait to see how Tiana will handle meeting the dark fae. I would definitely recommend this book to any paranormal romance lover, I never got into the fae paranormal romance but this book has changed my mind. It is super interesting to see how the fae are written and their different special abilities. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2.
Sweet Salvation (The Protectors Series Book 3) By Toya Richardson 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the story Sweet Salvation (The Protectors Series Book 3) by Toya Richardson. Once I started it, I found that I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time. I loved reading about the characters of Manuela and Josh. Manuela is a young woman whose life has turned into a nightmare. She has been captured as well as badly treated. She finds herself rescued by her mate, Josh. She also feels that no one would want her after what she has been through. Josh is surprised to find his mate when he rescues Manuela. He can’t help but feel the bond between them. She wants revenge, even if those actions put her in danger and effects those around her. Can Josh reach her in time? Read this book to find out. This story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters, experiencing what they did. I grew to care about Manuela and Josh with every chapter that I read. There are also many other characters that I loved reading about. They are supportive of Manuela and Josh. There are romantic moments as well as times when I wondered what was going to happen next. The book is entertaining and hard to put down. It is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

Enemies of Doves By Shanessa Gluhm 5 out of 5 stories
The story Enemies of Doves by Shanessa Gluhm is a book that has mystery and suspense. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The story does a wonderful job of switching back and forth between timelines. It had me trying to put together what was happening and gives you just enough info that I couldn’t put it down for very long. I just had to know how it ended. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Joel and Clancy Fitchett, Lorraine, and Garrison Stark. Each one has their part to play in the book and I found that my first impressions about them changed as the story progressed. The book and characters came alive with each page that I read, and I found myself thinking about both even after I had read the entire story. My emotions went up and down all the way through. The book has twists that I did not see coming. Don’t miss out on a story that is mysterious and entertaining. I highly recommend reading it.

Romance in Rehoboth boxed set books 4-6 by K.L. Montgomery filled with five-star reads. I adore all of K.L. Montgomery’s stories, but Badge Bunny just made me smile so much, the writing is funny and real, its crazy out there, but done well so you can imagine you are in the crazy saucy situation. This is romance at its best, I read badge bunny on its own, but picked up the box set as the value was amazing the other two stories just brought it all in. I really do enjoy the writing of K.L. Montgomery she has a talent for writing people like us but adding a little extra spice. I adored these and am sure I will be re-reading all 6 of the Romance in Rehoboth stories over and over.

This is a wonderful Box set! I think these are the best books in the series. They all make me laugh and the characters seem lighthearted and quirky. I highly recommend getting this box set if you want hours of enjoyment. I really wish I could give this one more than 5 stars! Below is a little bit about each one:
Badge Bunny Book 4
I loved this book! The story was amazing and made me laugh more than once. The characters added such charm. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and all their quirks. There were a few new faces as well as many from the previous books. I laughed…well more than once and sat with a silly smile on my face while reading this captivating story.
Chris! You are a sweetie who doesn’t turn down a good dare. He wanted to be a cop because that is the closest he can come to being a Super Hero! So sweet and nerdie at the same time! I know being a cop is dangerous but I can’t help but laugh out loud when you apprehend suspects. Your thoughts and antics made this book super funny. Oh..oh and Pub Golf?!? I loved reading about that…all of it!
Wedding War Book 5
This is a wonderfully written story! The whole idea of this huge chain store coming in and ruining all the mom and pop stores is realistic. But when Jason and Hannah decide to wage war against them with Brilliant devious pranks that’s when the story really comes to life. Add in the secret that tore their two families apart 20 years ago and this is one entertaining story.
Jason…..I Love everything about you! When you and Hannah were watching Seinfeld and you wanted to put your arm around her (just like a teenager on your first date) ….that made me really understand how you were feeling. Also that first kiss you laid on her was so dang sweet! Then the second? I loved reading your thoughts and how you couldn’t stand not to one more second and you HAD to kiss her. *swoon*
Stage Mom Book 6
This is very endearing. This is a good story with insta love. There are fun times and serious times in here. The characters are great! Mateo and Larissa have good chemistry between them. Hailey is a little dream boat. This isn’t my fav of the series but it’s a good story with insta love.

Why by Megan Mitcham a five-star read that won’t leave you wondering why. This is number two in the Stalker series and they go from strength to strength, but they are stand-alone so you can read them on their own or as a pair of crazy friends, I will be honest and I loved the pair of them. The intrigue with this story Is second to none, there is just a drama that will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat the whole way through. Genevieve Holst is a great character and one simply written but with a powerful punch, there is something afoot and Gen is determined to find out, she will suck you in and make you think about he little details you may have missed, she will bring you along on this steamy mysterious journey.

Descendants of Time and Death by Winnifred Tataw a five-star read worth your worship. This is number two in the Gods Scion series and I would say pick up number one if you can, but if you cant then give it a go as the author does a great job with world building and character development in this story and you really do feel part of the story, there is so much going on in this story, and I don’t want to give the secrets away so I am keeping this short and sweet, as the author does a great job of this story and you would be sorry to miss it.

The Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery is a set that has three books all in one to make one awesome boxset! The three books in this set are Badge Bunny (Book #4), Wedding Wars (Book #5) and Stage Mom (Book #6). They’re all full-length, standalone stories, and each book is centered around a different couple and I loved every single one of them. There is a boxed set before this one that has 3 books as well and that one is just as good as this one and I would recommend reading all of them! This author is becoming one of my go to authors for good, funny reads and I seem to can’t stop myself from one clicking her newest releases! She has a good writing style and she always makes me feel like I am living the story right along with the characters. I think out of the three books in this set my favorite would definitely be Badge Bunny. Its a enemies to lovers story and I can’t get enough of them. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! Happy reading!

This author was a new addition to my library and this book was one I was unsure how it would unfold. I am so thankful I picked it up. The cover was striking and the story unfolded beautifully. I loved every page and appreciated how the author developed the storyline. An excellent book and a series I look forward to reading more of.

Rom com lovers – run, don’t walk, and put this box set in your cart NOW. Montgomery continues her Rehoboth saga in epic fashion. Each of these three books stands alone easily. But taken as a whole they are brilliant in their emotion. You will laugh and cry and love the characters. Montgomery is truly a gifted story teller and one that is a must read every time.

The series continues to be quite an enjoyable read. I’m thankful to have found Chara and her take on the superhero genre. For lovers of YA, you need to put this book and series on your must read list. Quick and fun, you’ll fly through the pages.

Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friendby L.M. Mountford is the first book in the Confessions of a Trophy Wife Series. It is an erotic tale of forbidden desires. This is an older woman/younger man situation. A bored, neglected, and lonely trophy wife is tempted by her son’s best friend who is ever so charming, confident, and gorgeous. This is quite a short story which makes it a very quick and easy read. One you could easily get through before bed.

Midnight in the House of Lang by Bree M Lewandowski Stars:4
This was a great story with romance, danger, and suspense. I loved reading about Thea and Captain Surov, and how they faced conflict in the story. I think that Bree Lewandowski did a wonderful job creating a year 3034 dystopian world, her characters, and the challenges the characters must face. I was quickly pulled in the world she created.

Endless Nights by R.M. Gilmore is the second book in the Dylan Hart series which is a paranormal suspense book. I fell in love with the first book and this book didn’t disappoint. Dylan is still her sarcastic, sassy self and she ends up biting off more than she can handle. After going on a trip with her an old acquaintance to New Orleans she finds herself upsetting the wrong people. Can she survive this foe? I recommend reading these in order but worth the read! They are packed with suspense, action, mystery and will keep you biting your nails in anticipation on what will happen next while reading.

Rise is the second book in The Larussio Legacy series by Via Mari. This is a fantastic romantic suspense- with lots of drama, action, danger, secrets, passion, intrigue, spice, surprising developments- and a really superb cast of characters. I have read all of Via Mari’s books now and have really enjoyed them all. Having read Book One, I had some pretty high expectations for this story, and I am happy to say that Via Mari definitely didn’t let me down- this is just as good, if not better than the previous book, I was hooked right from the start, glued to the pages- entirely engrossed the whole way through. As with her other books, there is plenty of suspense woven through the storyline- the tension in parts is quite palpable and had me on the edge of my seat clamouring to know how it all played out. Can’t wait to get my hands on “Reign”- Book #3!

The second installment of R.M. Gilmore’s Dylan Hart series was just as good as the first book. It was filled with laughter, fun, and excitement. Dylan is such a strong individual and makes for a really good heroine. She takes nothing from anyone, which upon occasion can get her into trouble. In Endless Night trouble is exactly what Dylan finds. Dylan proves once again that she is definitely up to handling anything life throws her. R.M. Gilmore has made a compelling story with Dylan Hart and I look forward to ready more of her adventures.

Midnight in the House of Lang by Bree M. Lewandowski is an exciting futuristic read. It is set in 3034 in Imperial Vienna and Thea with her brother have fled their home for safety. Thea finds herself falling for Captain Irek Surov despite their different goals. This is a futuristic dystopian society where steam runs everything. I really enjoyed the development of the story and felt myself carried away. This is a relatively short read but doesn’t fall short in story or character development. I will be looking for more in the future from this author.

I have REALLY enjoyed this story! I quickly read it as I was drawn into the lives of these two characters. I worried for Max that he wasn’t going to get his dream. Then I was freaked out over Alexandra, her situation and all her worries. They each have a past. Not sure Alex can overcome Max’s past…trust becomes an issue. But their chemistry is easily felt coming off the pages! When they are together? Max is just so…so sexy!
I loved being inside Max’s head! The things he thinks verses what he says..especially about Alex. Max is definitely a dreamy character.
Overall I loved the story. The characters are fun yet have their own struggles. I enjoyed watching them grow and become orgasm friends.
