I found myself fascinated with the first book of this series so I decided to read Book 2 of the Dylan Hart series. Now, I’m officially addicted. The mysteries that this guy has will keep you on the edge of your seat as you read cover to cover. A former associate invites Dylan to New Orleans. Dylan makes a new enemy. New details emerge as she’s in for the conflict of her life is only starting. I love the mystery in which this author keeps you hooked. The first book was a classic and this one will leave you believing this one is a masterpiece. Chapter after chapter, you’re in for the ride of your life! You won’t be sorry you picked up this series.

What I love about this book is it teaches us something we should all carry with us no matter who or what we are. I love books that hold values and morals as a storyline. Cheesy, I know but I love it. Alex Charalambides does this perfectly in this tale which is one for the ages. The book draws you in with Excalibur, who is always on a search, has one question for the universe, “When Fate calls, will you answer?” but calls across the eras for a notable hand until a distrustful American student is selected. I’ve enjoyed this young adult genre more than most teens I know or young adults. In this futuristic mystery, we go into the world of Icon City, a haven for one percenters. You instantly fall in love with the characters, especially the main character who has a powerful personality which is set to inspire the readers. She’s fully aware of her personality which brings her great strengths in a lot of ways plus she’s aware of her surroundings and how it affects her. In this fantasy, she used to be a “normal” 17-year-old girl until her dad found out she had superpowers and shipped her off to a famous school for powered people of the world — Hero High. At Hero High, she lives in the SuperStructure where cameras follow her every move. People with powers have just as many expectations on them as humans do with the pressures they succumb themselves to. Through this she’s making money for the family and she’s starting to see the place for what it is. She is us as we’re along for the ride with her as she takes on the role of hero as she attempts to discover the identity of an unknown villain and their intentions with the school. She’s a selfless hero in for the ride no matter the consequences. Great adventure with mysteries. Fun read full of action-packed pages full of unpredictable twists and turns. Very fun to get through.

This is quite an adventure. Filled with wizards, Magic and Excalibur is a retelling of a classic. While the story drew me in I struggled with the timeline of the characters. It is confusing to me and makes the story not flow very smoothly. Causing me to lose interest at times. I plugged on and the story does pick up near the end. The main character held my interest and wondering what would happen to him and the sword. There are few secondary characters who I liked and others not so much.

I will admit, I was recommended this book by the author a couple years ago as something I may like in an event, purchased it, then unfortunately forgot about. My TBR list is huge and I can stop buying. Anyway, I finally got the opportunity to read it and I can’t believe I waited so long. I would say this is a teen book, but as an adult, I enjoyed it immensely. As a cat lover, this is what drew me in and I really like Miri as a main character. She feels alone and not quite understood, but she learns more about herself and steps up when she needs to. It does have a feel of being inspired by the Harry Potter books, but the author makes it her own in the types of characters and the world she creates. There are so many other characters I am dying to learn more of as the series goes on. Then there is the story itself. Miri feels like an outcast and all alone. Most people, especially teenagers, can relate to this. She is finally able to find a place she feels more comfortable, but events happen that do not make it as easy as it seems.
If you like a world of magic and fantastic creatures and people in a young adult/teenage age group, this book is for you.

A Gentleman’s Stipulation is the fourth book in The Scarlet Salon seriesby Jean Wilde. This is my first read by Ms. Wilde, and as you have probably noticed, I have come into this series a little backwards, starting on book #4 first. When this book caught my eye, I immediately read the blurb and was quite intrigued by what the story could hold. It has been a while since I have read a regency romance, so I thought this would make a great change of pace from what I had been reading of late. I hadn’t noticed it was the fourth book in the series, but as I discovered, it can definitely be read as a standalone. Having said that though, I really enjoyed the story and will certainly be going back to read the other books in this series, too- as well as exploring Ms. Wilde’s other work/s. This is a really great historical/regency romance- it’s an enemies to lovers tale, full of drama, banter, spice, intrigue, chemistry, tension, and romance. Ms. Wilde may be a new-to-me author, but I am more than happy to have just discovered her work- as she certainly knows how to tell a cleverly woven and captivating story. Lady Victoria Gilbert is 24 and has gotten to the point where she will soon be considered as an ‘old maid’. She really needs a husband and dreams of having a home and family of her own. But she has a bit of a barbed tongue, a mind of her own, and a stubborn independent streak- which hasn’t stood in her favour. Her chances of finding a suitor are becoming slimmer by the day. Blake Hall is the wealthy son of a Mill tycoon- he has material wealth, but no title- which has set him apart from London’s High Society. He can’t stand the simpering young debutantes, he would rather a woman who would challenge him. So, you would think that when he meets Lady Victoria, it would be love at first sight. But instead, they completely rub each other the wrong way. Although I think they secretly enjoyed the verbal sparring. But what happens when they are caught in a compromising situation? All the answers you need are waiting to be discovered between the covers of “A Gentleman’s Stipulation”. Ms. Wilde has crafted her story really well- adding rich, vibrant, and authentic historical details. Her storytelling really draws you into her ‘world’ and she easily captures her readers attention. I was immersed in the story, staying engaged right through to the end. The characters are really well developed with their own unique personalities. And even though they both annoyed/frustrated me at times throughout the story- I couldn’t help but like them and was rooting for them right from the beginning. I am looking forward to exploring the rest of the series now!

A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon, #4) by Jean Wilde was a good 4 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is Lady Victoria and Blake’s story.
Victoria is 24 and really wants a husband and family, at her age she is considered a spinster. Then she meets Blake at a party, he’s the son of a tycoon and let’s just say there wasn’t any love lost between them. This is a good love and hate story but you could feel the attraction between them. While at another party something happens that unexpectedly brings them together and they have to marry.
Can these two put their hate aside and actually find love? Will they make it to the altar?
Overall I enjoyed this book. I really liked Victoria, she is a strong character who isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind. Blake has been hurt in the past and is very cautious. The bantering between these two was great. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

The story is about shape shifters of all kinds and there is magic and secrets, danger and violence, and lots of drama and adventure as we journey along with a young woman who finally finds where she belongs and the magic inside her. But there is a darkness that threatens all that. It will be interesting to see where Debbie takes us next as the story is open to many possibilities.

The Scene (Dylan Hart Book 1) by R.M. Gilmore is slow to grow on you but once you got going couldn’t put it down kind of read. Some of the characters you loved to hate and others like Dylan were down to earth and oh so sassy and bad mouthed. I loved her and found myself laughing at her and her ballsy attitude. I don’t know what I expected but RM definitely keeps you on your toes right throughout and delivers a little gem. I am now about to head on to book 2 and see what delights and trouble Dylan finds herself in once again.

A Study in Spirits by Byrd Nash is the second book in A College Fae Magic series. The author says there will be four books in the series, one for each year of school. This is a fairly short, quick read but the author accomplishes a lot in those pages. In this book Brigit has been accused of stealing answers and vandalism. With her friends she must clear her name or be expelled from school. I enjoyed the characters of Brigit and Logan as well as the secondary characters in the story. This is a nice get away from the day to day isolation from being at home giving out a bit of magic to all of us. I look forward to reading more in this series.

A Study in Spirits (College Fae book #2) by Byrd Nash. This is the second book in this series and I think it’s even better than the first. I’m not a huge fantasy fan but these books are the exception. I loved the first one and I believe I loved this one even more. Its the continuing story of Brigit who is a student at Leopold Otto University and if she wants to continue to be a student there she needs to prove that she is not the person stealing & changing test results. With her friend Logan and his ability to recognize the truth and their new friend Emma who may hold the key to the whole mystery they are determined to find solve this. This monster is destroying Brigit’s much loved books and she is determined to stop it not only to prove herself not guilty but to catch this horrible culprit. We meet some new friends as well in this book and they definitely add to the story. Will these monsters prove to difficult to stop or will Brigit and Logan be able to stop them before its too late? Montgomery to all her avid fans – you can simply have all three first books in one nice set, making it easy to lose yourself into hours and hours of goodness! You could read all the books as standalones but getting them as a book set makes this point moot as you will read all of them! The set includes Music Man (Book 1), The Flip (Book 2) and Plot Twist (Book 3). The whole series gives us stories that are about how to love oneself, what happens when you follow your dreams (or do not), and how does it feel to find the other half of your soul. The first book – Music Man – is Jack and Clare’s poignant story about what you do when your moment in the limelight arrives when you are already settled in another kind of life and have found a woman that is the other half of your soul. The second book – The Flip – is the story of Andrew and Sonnet who have hated each other since high school. It takes 10 years for them to come to the point where they have to come together in honouring someone’s bequest and what a journey it starts them on! The third book – Plot Twist – this is the crazy story of Meric Chandler and Lindy Larson filled with music and backstage romance and I have to say that Lindy is probably the one out of all three heroines that I could most relate with. Initially I found the writing style a little challenging to get into, however after the first couple of chapters I caught the flow. Of course, then I couldn’t put it down. Of Magic and Scales is a meandering mystery story It takes it’s time and introduces several magical creatures along the way. Aiden trying to come to terms with himself added dimension to the story. And, Naël is someone you kind of love to hate. He is irritating and rude, but he also cares about Aiden in his own way. I could really identify with Aiden’s desire to just live a low-key life without drama. Unfortunately, as in real life, you don’t always get what you wish for. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I’m wondering if there will be another book because I would definitely read more!
P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga, Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer was a great fantasy read.I loved the world building and history that was introduced throughout the book. The story moves through different points of view which really helps the development of the story. I found it kept my attention more so than just pages of history and world building. Miri was such a young character and I found her adorable and I had a feeling of over protectiveness.

High Fae Academy – Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance by Kaylin Peyerk
This was a quick read but it had plenty going on and I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved Tiana and as much as she didnt want to attend the fae academy, she found out not everything is as it seemed. The attraction her elements felt toward each element prince was off the charts. Let’s not forget the man when that resides inside her, with all these men I don’t know who she will choose. It was a captivating original story that I had a hard time putting down. When I got to the end I couldn’t believe I was left hanging on the edge of a cliff!! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. I highly recommend this book.
This is a great romance story set in historic times. I don’t normally read historical romance books but i really enjoyed this.
Lady Victoria needs to find a husband. At 24 she is considered a spinster and her chances of finding a husband are slim.
Blake Hall is a successful business man who meets Victoria at a party however its not love at first sight, more like hate.
Victoria and Blake run each other up the wrong way constantly and they aruge none stop.
However, an incident that happens at another party means they need to put their differences aside to make their surprise marriage work.
As time progresses hate turns to love and with Victoria happy her past turns up to mess things up. Can they get through this or will Blake cancel the wedding leaving her a ruined woman.

I really enjoyed this story. I especially liked the recipes in it as the story went along.
Kally has been burnt and hurt by love in the past. She vows never to let anyone get that close again. She has her own home, a successful business in her little cafe selling delicious treats and coffee. What else could she want?
Until the day Max walks into her life. Max has had problems in his past too but no matter how much Kally pushes him away he is drawn to her.
Can they both recover from their pasts and will Kally be able to trust someone with her heart again.
I loved this book. The characters are likeable and relatable. It also brings into it cultural references to Greek families and the way they interact which was nice to learn about.

This gives you a chance to discuss this book with your teens, open communication is always GREAT. I loved this friends to lovers romance by Erin Bevan. Christian school teacher Alexandra Mills and Max Buchanan, a political figure and eligible bachelor are best friends and always have been and when Alex risks loosing her job when a one night stand leaves her pregnant Max steps in to help. Max in turn needs to prove that his playboy years are behind him if he wants to keep his business afloat and so they decide a marriage of convenience will help them both. However the longer they pretend to be in love both their feelings start to change, they just don’t tell each other. I loved Alex and Max’s characters they were realistic and likeable and the chemistry between them was obvious to everyone apart from them. I loved how their relationship changed from best friends to lovers and how this developed over the book. I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ever after. This was a lovely read, a great escapism book which flowed nicely and I felt fully immersed in Alex and Max’s story. A wonderful romantic novel full of emotions and drama. I look forward to future books in Bevan’s ‘Serendipity Falls’ series.

I loved reading the story All The Wrong Reasons (Serendipity Falls Novel Book 1) by Erin Bevan. It is a book that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until I read the final page. It is a romantic comedy that made me smile, laugh, and also had moments that are touching. I loved reading about the characters of Alexandra Mills and Max Buchanan. Alex finds herself unmarried, pregnant, and in danger of losing her job. Max needs to show that his playboy reputation is in the past. What would happen if they entered into a marriage of convenience as a solution? Max and Alex are characters that I couldn’t help but care for with each chapter that I read. I loved the bantering back and forth between them. The story had my emotions going up and down the whole time I was reading. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced and interacted with Alex and Max. Don’t miss out on a romantic story that has wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading it.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what else this author has for us. This is a sweet romance book about two best friends who are both faced with having to marry so why not a marriage of convience? Alex finds herself pregent and about to lose her job and Max needs to put his playboy reputation behind him to keep his business. Alex has never seen Max that way but will she change her mind? I was pulled in right from the beginning and was kept engaged to the end. This is a well written story that has characters that have great chemistry and brought the story to life. I had no problem connecting to them. They kept me turning pages and I highly recommend this book.

I read Ms. Pulkinen’s Crescent City Wolf Pack series and loved it. When I saw this book, I quickly picked it up to read knowing what a great author she is. This book is completely different. It is fun, light hearted and will keep you laughing. It was nice to see a different side of the author.
Ethan has been a vampire for twenty five years and is broody and miserable. He meets Jane and believes that she’s his ex fiancée reincarnated. When he sees his chance to turn her, he takes it. He can finally be with Vanessa again. When Jane awakens, he realizes she is definitely not his ex. Jane is feisty, spoiled and obnoxious. What has he gotten himself into?
Jane is a blogger. Her and her friend Sarah decide to visit New Orleans and write about the sights. Jane meets the handsome Ethan while drunk and doesn’t really mind waking up with him. Realizing she’s a vampire, she takes it in stride. She now has super human strength, will stay young forever and has skin to die for. Now if she can just stop fainting at the sight of blood, everything will be okay.
The story is cute and funny. Who would have thought a vampire would have an aversion to blood? Although Jane’s yattering made me dizzy, this was a fun book to read. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Sarah.

5 Star The Scene (Dylan Hart series Book 1) by R.M. Gilmore
First off let me just say this was was different than I expected it to be. But once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next .There’s vampires, danger and suspense along with the twists and turns and you got yourself a wild journey . I absolutely loved the character Dylan she’s sassy and has just the right amount of attitude. I found myself laughing in some parts. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I really enjoyed reading this story. It is a light, fun and flirty paranormal read. The story was different from other vampire stories I have read. The characters ranged from snarky to broody. Jane was tough to take at first. But then she starts coming up with all of these Edward Cullen movie references. That stuff is golden! She became more palatable after she calmed a bit and realized what a vampire life could do for her. Ethan is the broody one. He likes quiet and order. Jane is like a tsunami coming into his life. His biggest problem….she never stops talking. That give us some good times.
This is thoroughly enjoyable. I read it fairly quickly because it’s good and I love me some Vamp stories. I can’t wait to see what happens to Sophie in the next one!

After really enjoying book 1 in this new series I was looking forward to starting the second book ‘Endless Night’ and I absolutely loved it! I feel like the author really took this book to another level, I found myself turning the pages faster and faster just so I could see what was going to happen. I loved Dylan but in this book I found I loved her even more, she is such a fantastic character to read about. She is so relatable and down to earth, she has insecurities that many of us have – I just adore her! I love Malcolm and Cyrus so much – it was great to see their characters develop over the story! I cannot believe I have to wait for book 3! The author left us on a cliff-hanger and I shall definitely be looking forward to reading the next book in the series! I 100% recommend this book – it’s a fantastic read!

I love losing myself in the world of historical romance – it is my ultimate favourite genre to read and I particularly love it when an author knows how to write this genre well and Jean Wilde absolutely did that! I was completely swept up in this story form beginning to end – from the characters to the setting to the scenery it was a wonderful read. The authors’ writing was beautifully detailed – I could imagine exactly what I was reading at times. One of the things I loved was Lady Victoria and Blake’s relationship; they definitely loved to hate each other! They were great characters that I connected with quickly. This is the fourth book in The Scarlet Salon series but can be read as a standalone which is how I read it. This is also the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely be reading the other books in the series now!

Endless Night is the second exciting instalment in the Dylan Hart Series by R.M. Gilmore. I was hooked on the series right from the beginning of book one, so I had high hopes for the rest of instalments. So, I am happy to say that this book surpassed all my expectations and is even better than the first. It is a fast-paced and thrilling read- with vampires, danger, mystery, drama, suspense, twists & turns, voodoo, curses, and lots of gripping developments- all set against the paranormal haven that is New Orleans. Another vivid, rich, dynamic, detailed and descriptive story- with all the excitement you could wish for, which made it impossible to put down until I’d read every word. After the way this story ended, I really can’t wait to dive into book #3!
