All The Wrong ReasonsAll The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

All The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan was a good 4 star read.
We start with Alex going out with a friend to get her ex out of her mind and waking up in bed with a stranger and not remembering a thing. She sneaks out and calls her best friend Max to come and get her.

Max has been Alex’s best friend for twenty years and is considered a playboy. They have always been there for each other. He wasn’t happy about the situation that Alex was in, but she has helped him in similar situations. You can sense that there may be a slight attraction between them.

As the story moves forward, Alex gets some shocking news that could affect her job. Max also finds himself in need of cleaning up his reputation and Alex may just be the solution. Can he agree to get her to marry him? Can they keep their feelings out of it?

Overall this was a good read with humor, emotion, and so much more. I really liked the characters. I look forward to reading more from this author. If you’re looking for a fun read this is the book for you. 1-click and get started today.

All The Wrong Reasons (Serendipity Falls Novel Book 1) by Erin Bevan – Review by Angelina Frazzini

All The Wrong ReasonsAll The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

All the Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan is A Serendipity Falls novel. This book tells the story of Alex and Max. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I couldn’t put it down!

Alex has landed herself in quite the tough spot. Her situation may very well cost her her job. She’s at a loss for what to do. Max is Alex’s best friend and quite the playboy. He’s just lost a potential investor due to his lack of commitments. Max can help Alex just as much as she can help him. He proposes a marriage but Alex isn’t sure she can trust the changes Max assures her have happened. Will they be able to get everything they want or will their marriage of convenience ruin their friendship?

I absolutely enjoyed this book. I couldn’t put it down! You could feel Alex’s hesitation and caution but you could also tell she desperately wanted to trust in Max. I just couldn’t get enough of these characters.

Hawk’s Cry (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Kayla Interdonato

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hawk’s Cry: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #2 by Manda Mellett caught me completely by surprise. I thought I was getting a typical MC novel, but was pleasantly surprised. This story was about Hawk, or Eli, and his struggles. Hawk is VP of the Satan’s Devils MC, married to the love of his life, and has a child on the way. But he starts having doubts, is this really what he wants out of his life or was he just bred for this? Being a spitting image of his father, the ex-president of the club, it was always assumed Hawk would follow in his father’s footsteps. Maybe citizen life is better, where he can have a life of his own. But if he leaves, he will never be able to come back.

This story was refreshing to read. Though it dealt with some heavy content, I think it is important to bring light to mental health issues that everyone deals with. Depression and panic attacks do not discriminate and many times people don’t know how to rationally cope with these issues. Hawk began doubting himself, his life, and his choices. He didn’t know if he could live up to pressure and thought the only way to fix them was to get out. This story was a wonderful read and I look forward to reading other books by this author.

Throwback by Zeia Jameson – Review by Jenni Bishop

ThrowbackThrowback by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Throwback by Zeia Jameson is a slow story but also a beautiful story. Zeia gives us an honest and unforgiving look at relationship and life and expectations and the ability to really listen. I really enjoy Zeia’s storytelling as no matter what she writes she has this magical ability to get right to the heart of a matter and her writing leaves you with a very poignant way of looking at things. Being an adult with starting a new business, looking after your relationship and then becoming a mother is enough to send anyone bonkers but doing so whilst feeling alone and still having issues from your past will certainly send you around the bend. Zeia is a go to author for me and Throwback will definitely tug on those heartstrings and make our hearts soar and ache at the same time. Jeremy and Livy made me laugh and cry and were absolutely fabulous characters.

Holding Out for You by Anna Paige is a wonderful frenemies to lovers Brother’s bestie story. The characters are delightful and swoon worthy and will capture your heart whilst you are so engrossed to see where Anna takes you next. I could not put it down as their banter and quirks made them more endearing and the story beautiful to read. It is a fun and sexy read with times of heartache but it is one story you do not want to miss out on.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Jana Teppih

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) is a present from K.G. Fletcher to her readers! You get all the books of the series in one go! I love when the writers do that with their series and generally when they have sets then I go for them and lose myself for hours and hours and hours … like with Southern Promises.
We have three standalone full-length contemporary romances filled with true Southern men and women with Southern Promises.
The first book is Georgia Clay that is a friends to lovers romance that gives us Katie and Clay who meet up at their ten year high school reunion. I guess we all have this one person from our youth that we feel ‘what if’ about so the writer is taking us down to one of them when bringing together a successful songwriter Clay and insurance executive Katie. In addition to Katie and Clay there are couple of more secondary characters that made the story pop even more!
The second book Georgia On My Mind is a sweet romance story that feels real as Gia and Hart feel real and you are sticking close to them while they give you a run for your money! Both of them have their own demons and secrets, both of them are easy to relate to and both of them demand you root for them! It is a great story of how you can find your dreams again and there is light at the end of a long and hard day … even when you get so overwhelmed with the daily struggle …
The third book Georgia Pine is the story of Jessica Kaufman – a mother to four young girls and just recently divorced from her hot shot cheating real estate mogul husband, and Tim McGill who is hiding out in Georgia and trying to rise like Phoenix from the ashes of his former celebrated career on the West Coast. The story was heart-warming like Southern hospitality, I loved the simplicity and yet the complexity of the feelings of the two people who feel such a strong pull under the surface so you sit at the edge of your seat and keep your fingers crossed that Tim will learn to trust and open up to these little girls their mother and that Jessica will get her happily-ever-after!
I hope there will be more books in the series as I am not ready to leave our gang yet!

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Southern Promises series got me hooked on K.G. Fletcher’s writing. If you’re looking for a series to get lost in while sitting on a back porch drinking Iced Tea, then this is it!

Georgia Clay – Katie and Clay’s story was sexy funny and swoon-worthy. How many of us all wish we could go to our high school reunion and just hit it off with our crush 10 years later? Well, that is how Katie and Clay’s romance started. Katie and Clay both had very demanding jobs but found a way to make long-distance relationship work, didn’t hurt that they were only a 4-hour car ride away.

Georgia on My Mind – Good southern boy who just wants to take care of his woman. Gia and Hart are two broken people who find each other just at the right time and boy do the sparks fly. Hart and Gia might be a little sexier then Clay and Katie.

Georgia Pine – Tim and Jessica’s story; he is the perfect gentleman for this Southern Belle. From their first meeting in the pantry, Tim was meant to loved and take care of these five girls. The way Tim cherished Jessica and loved her adorable four girls melted my heart.

Sweet Salvation (The Protectors, #3)Sweet Salvation by Toya Richardson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sweet Salvation (The Protectors Series Book 3) by Toya Richardson is a great paranormal romance story. It is a bit of an emotive read and has something for everyone including shifters and drama, danger and revenge, suspense and action. Nothing like a true mate and witches and truly evil to get the pages turning. This is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone but there were definite times where I thought I needed to go back and find out how this situation occurred. This sweet but sorrowful paranormal tale is worth the read and I will be going back to read from the beginning.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series: (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher. Grab your copy now you will not be disappointed.

Georgia Clay is the first book in the Southern Promises series and what a story. I am glad I got to read this sweet and spicy contemporary romance that is swoon worthy. The story is told in dual points of view, which I love. Georgia Clay is a feel-good story and it is beautifully written. These wonderful characters found their way into my heart and I will be looking up other books by KG. The story is an easy read and it flowed well and an excellent start to the series. Hands down Clay is my new book boyfriend!!

Georgia on my Mind (Southern Promises #2) is the second book in the Southern Promises series and is one intensely passionate read. KG writes her characters with so much feeling that it makes them feel so real. I enjoyed reading this story as the plot unveiled itself with a few twists and turns along the way. My emotions were all over the place as the layers were peeled back to expose these raw and wonderful characters and to read about Gia’s early life was heart-breaking. KG keeps you captivated till the very end whilst making you feel a part of their lives.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3) is a beautiful romance story that I really really enjoyed. This is book three in the Southern Promises series but can be read as a standalone. K.G’s stories flow nicely and her words enable you to picture everything that is going on and feel the same emotions as the characters. Georgia Pine is about two broken people coming together to find themselves again and breaking out of the stereotype that people cast them in. They are both trying to relearn their value as a person and within the world and when they do, boy do those sheets heat up with passion and steam. This story will make your heart melt and leave you wanting more. Another job well done K.G.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher

5 out of 5 stars

I simply loved this series it has everything you can imagine friends to lovers, opposites attract romance, and second chances at love and sports all wrapped up into one…. I love the characters they are strong, unique, and the wat they play their quirkiness against each other is great.

Book 1 Georgia Clay: We get to read about second chances Clay and Katie meet up after 10 years at their class reunion where they spend the night in the bed of his pickup truck talking all night. What happens when they get reacquainted?
Georgia Clay is a handsome, award-winning songwriter rubbing elbows with the elite stars of country music. An incredible talent in his own right, Clay has always hesitated to step into the spotlight on his own for fear his debilitating childhood secret will rear its ugly head.
Katie Parker is a workaholic Southern beauty who’s first love is her career. It’s not just her knowledge of the cut-throat insurance business she has skillfully navigated over the years, but her tenacity and gumption in climbing the corporate ladder.
As they forge ahead in a passionate long-distance relationship, can Clay admit to Katie she had his heart a long, long time ago?

Book 2 Georgia on my mind: Hartford Parker is a disgraced real estate broker hiding out in his sister’s condo in suburban Atlanta. Swearing off women after an embarrassing indiscretion at a black-tie even, Hart now indulges in drinking and working out as he tries to come to terms with his unexpected firing at a prestigious DC firm.
Gia Bates is struggling to make ends meet at her failing dance studio across town in a run down and forgotten part of the city. Secretly working part-time as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator for a seedy entertainment company has Gia feeling trapped in her debt while slowly chipping away at her passion and solace in dance.
Hart and Gia find themselves at the same party and end up on an uncertain path full of sex, secrets, and shame. As they move forward in a spicy tango, can the two of them ever dance in sync?

Book 3 Georgia Pine: Jessica Kaufman never though she would be divorced from her real-estate mogul husband and left to raise her four young daughters on her own in an affluent Atlanta subdivision. The very last thing she expected is an encounter with her gorgeous gardener who looks more like a sexy beast from her daughters’ favorite Disney movie. She is smitten with his evergreen eyes, wild mane of hair and impressive stature.
With his reputation and celebrated career on the West Coast left in shambles Tim McGill is hiding away. He moves to distance himself from his downfall and inconspicuously tends the upper-class landscapes to keep his renowned identity a secret. Unlike his typical wealthy clients, Jessica doesn’t seem to mind that he’s a gardener. One spark between them is all it takes to ignite a fiery passion that could explode if Tim’s identity is revealed. He must earn Jessica’s trust and finally come to terms with what he has lost.

I love Ms. Fletchers writing she is an amazing author and I highly recommend her…

Enemies of Doves by Shanessa Gluhm. Wow what an amazing way to be introduced to a new author. From page one I was completely captured and couldn’t put this book down. This story is filled to the top with suspense, drama and all the emotions you could ask for. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that truly comes alive before your eyes. The characters are complex and relatable, each one drawing you further into their world. I found myself trying to read both faster to see what happen next and slower to make it last longer. It’s a well thought out and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. If you’re looking for a new author I highly recommend giving this amazing book a try! Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Throwback by Zeia Jameson. This story gave me all the feels. I loved this story and the fact it’s different from others written by this incredible author. This story while different was just as amazing and had me up way into the night because I just couldn’t put it down. I find it hard to really find the right words to show this book the love it deserves. This story shows a more realistic view on a love story. Love can be messy and this author writes it wonderfully. I found myself completely connected to the characters and was sad when I reached the final page. The emotions written into the story were Easy to feel and made everything that much more “real”. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Hawks Cry by Manda Mellett is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. This is a fantastic book and is such a brilliant addition to an already amazing series.
I honestly cannot rave about this series enough. Each book I read I wonder how she will do any better and with each book she pulls it out of the bag!
The characters in this book are just outstanding. They are some of the most relatable characters I have read about in a long time! I was sucked into their story and could have read about them for days. Their journey was so emotional and had such a depth to it. I enjoyed every single second of it!
This is only the second book in this spin off series and I really cannot wait to read whatever comes next.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha. These two novellas both pulled me in from page one. Each about harder subjects but both wonderfully written. This isn’t my first by this author but these were a bit different and I loved to see that. I’ll be honest neither would probably be my normal reading but the description and of course the author captured my eye and I drove right in. Each took me on incredible journeys with characters I won’t soon forget. While smaller that doesn’t stop the impact the storylines had on me. They are both well written and paced nicely. I LOVE this author! I don’t even bother reading the blurbs for her books now I just grab it and read and I have to say out of the many, many books of hers that I’ve read this one is definitely up there with my favourites! I loved every single emotional moment of it. It was an exciting read from the very beginning and I loved Hawk and Olivia! Their story was heartbreakingly beautiful and I felt every emotion that they did. The one thing I love about this author is how she differentiates all of her characters, she has so many but they are all different but there is one thing that she does well with all of them and that is bringing their emotions to the forefront of the story and making you as the reader feel exactly what they characters are feeling. This is one of the many reasons why I will always pick up one of Ms Mellett’s books because I know in going to fall hard for the characters!
Hawk’s Cry is a beautifully written story that I 100% recommend!

Holding Out for You by Anna Paige – Review by Kerry Carr

Holding Out for YouHolding Out for You by Anna Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an great brother best friend romance, it keeps you hooked from the first page. The characters are so well written you can’t help but love them.

Blair and her brother Becker has a really close bond and all through their lives both have had best friends in Ashton and Charli.

All through the year Ashton has made it his life’s mission to annoy and terrorize Blair. Even though she has been head over heels with Aston for years she thought he hated her.

That was until a drunken confession where both of them admitted their attraction to each other and their love for each other. On a high from the revelation Blair carried on her night until it took a horrible turn for the worst.

Is their new found love and attraction enough to help them recover from what happened.

The romance is lovely, growing steadily, taking into account events that happened and also Beckers feelings about his best friend being in love with his sister.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two NovellasEvery Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am a little in shock about these two novellas. Zarina Macha writing was full of webs that are woven around the main characters of the stories. Her characters fully support the story but I honestly had a hard time making it through the novellas. I could not get the visions of the main characters out of my mind. I think what bothered me the most is that this can happen and how upsetting this can be not only for the person but also the family members. These stories are definitely for young adults over the age of 14. In both stories, the main characters have skeletons (demons) in their closet. The stories are horrid and hard to read, but I am glad I did finish the stories. I recommend this book. It is an eye opener when you start to think that this could happen in the real world.

I was able to finish this in roughly an hour. I enjoyed every bit of it. Great book!

There are so many opinions that I decided that I was going to read it and come up with my own conclusion. This story is based on the original Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. There is a definitely a feel of mechanical and historical feel to the story. There is the element of culture to the story as well. It is an enjoyable book and I highly recommend it.

This story was amazing. I love when authors are so talented to be able to go back and forth from past to present. It is even better when it can flow in such a way that I do not get confused. This is a mystery novel, but there are so many other elements to the story. We have mystery, secrets, deception, regrets, lies, and truth. This story is a fast read but I encourage you to take your time. You do not want to miss any clues of what and what is going on now. The characters are believable. You can fall for some of the deceptions and then you get angry all over again. When the past catches up to you will you be able to face it with a clear conscience? I highly recommend this story. I cannot wait to see what Shanessa Gluhm has in store in her upcoming novels.

Toya Richardson is a new author to me. Sweet Salvation is a great introduction to her writing story. Her story has a fast pace plot line. The details are abundant which makes it easy to paint a picture in your mind. Her characters make the story come to life. I found myself lost within the pages. Manuela craves a human life. She leaves the Protectors community to live among the humans. She finds out that was not a good idea. Will Manuela navigate in the human world or will be her undoing? I highly recommend this book.

This is my first time reading anything by this author, and I love the writing style and the flow of these stories. These were seriously tough stories to read, but written so well and although I don’t have a lot of knowledge about these subjects I feel as though I understand them just a bit more after reading more about them. I imagine these two young women suffer from things that are a reality to people around the world, and my emotions were all over the place while reading.

The first novella dealt with a young girl Tess, who is dealing with Schizophrenia brought on by the death of her brother. My heart broke for Tess, she went through so much to deal with everything going on in her mind, tried everything to make it all go away. The guy she loves doesnt love her in quite the same way and bad decisions lead to something horrible happening.

I found myself pulling so hard for Tess, she truly was amazing and I wanted her so badly to find her way. I LOVED Ed and Monique in this story. They both genuinely loved Tess and she was so blessed to have great parents and a huge support system. I feel weird saying I loved this story but I did, it was very heartfelt and written with so much care.

The second Novella was even harder than the first, I had a really hard time with it and that stems I think from just not understanding the disease. My emotions struggled a lot during this one and although it ended as it should have it still made me really sad.

I will absolutely be looking for more books by this author. Although the subjects were tough they were written very well.

Releasing Her Power Within (Fae Shifters Book 1) by Madilynn Dale
Releasing Her Power Within is the first book in the Fae Shifters Series By Madilynn Dale. This is a new author to me and it’s her debut album. I’m going to be honest I had a hard time getting into the story but once I did I couldn’t put it down only because I had to know what happens next. I feel like it fell just a bit short for me. I wanted more and it just wasn’t there. Again if I’m being honest this isn’t my normal go to genre. But I do enjoy reading from time to time. The characters are great, well developed and like I said the storyline fell a bit short. Liz is a over worked Physical Therapist Assistant who finds herself leaving her current job to move to the cabin left to her from her mother and taking a new job.
What she finds is the new house and the surroundings reveal a story she wasn’t expecting. Will she find the answers ? What does the future look like? Will she get answers to her heritage and the cabin ? Find out what happens next. I’ll recommend this book all in all it was a good book .I do look forward to reading more from this Author I’m curious as to where this series is going.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha – Review by Zarina Macha

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two NovellasEvery Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha is YA fiction- with darker elements, drama, sensitive subjects, and emotion.
I loved the cover, and thought the premise of this book sounded quite intriguing, so I snapped up a copy to explore. The book contains two novellas, “Every Last Thought” which follows Tess- and “Psycho Girl” which focuses on Evelyn. The stories are a little darker than I anticipated- which should have been right up my alley- but because they were such short stories, I think they fell short of the initial promise that they held.
In my opinion, I really think the ‘topics’ needed to be ‘fleshed out more’- the darker elements needed more time to ‘simmer’ and garner the depth and impact they might have otherwise had- but instead fell a little short due to trying to make the stories ‘fit’ in a smaller amount of space. I would love to see what they could become given more room to ‘grow’.
Will definitely check out her next book/s though.

Thank you, Zarina Macha!
