This book resonated loudly with me. Having grown up in a town similar to Little Rush, and also along the Ohio River, it felt like this book was a snapshot into life as I know it. The characters were very tangible and the multiple storylines added a richness to the plot development. I truly enjoyed this new author and his original voice and look forward to seeing what he brings to the literary world next.

Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Mya O’Malley was a great listen. I love to listen while driving and during work and this audio book did not disappoint. I loved the suspense and the narrator’s ability to leave me sitting on the edge of my seat. I loved Naomi and appreciated her development. I related more listening to someone narrate than just reading it myself. I cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series.

The storyline and characters were great, and you definitely go on an emotional roller coaster ride with this book. However, I felt like things went really fast in this book to me as far as the timeline goes. But I loved the emotional upheaval this book inflicted on me. This is the second book I’ve read from Barrett before and so far this seems to be a theme of hers, the whole emotional upheaval thing and I honestly love it. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

The premise of this tale is original with a bit of everything that will draw the readers in, with magic and a Black Queen cyberterrorist, adventure and action, elite paramilitary shifters and corruption. If you didn’t start with Part one The White Raven Awakens you will want to go back to where it all started.

I really enjoyed the character development in this book. Hudson, Mason, and Willow were wonderfully developed characters, and felt very real to me. The authour’s ability to inhabit these different personalities was wise and insightful. The plot and storyline were immersive, and I was entertained the whole way through. I really enjoyed seeing how Hudson related with Bruce Michaels, as well as how he was able to see their similarities, and where he was committed to being a different type of man. The themes of mental health, class, and adolescent rebellion were handled well and were relatable. All in all, I thought that this was a well-written novel by an authour I will definitely read again in the future.

Love by design is book 2 in the series and I absolutely loved reading this book. This is an enemies to lovers sort of read and the characters were so real and so likable. There were times where I wanted to yell at the characters or one in particular but, aside from that I loved reading this story. The author did a great job with the writing and kept her readers interested from page 1. I thought it was odd how Nicholas just shows up at Mia’s family home like he does but, her family seemed to welcome him in each time. Mia and Nicholas are working together on a magazine and from the moment Mia had seen him at a gala ( before being transferred to his magazine ) she thought he was the hottest thing on two feet. When she finds out she will be working side by side with him she doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to do her job. It doesn’t help that they bring out the worst bin eachother and he’s always snapping at her. Thank goodness for Penelope ( the older sister of Nicholas ) she keeps him in line most of the time. Then the author throws us for a loop when we find out that Mia and Nicholas had both met many years ago….WHAT??? absolutely loved this read. Grab your copy today!

Everything, Somewhere by David Duane Kummer is a YA story where coming of age story that is sometimes dark in its subject matter which could be disturbing for some readers. David is a young writer who started writing at a young age and is passionate about telling his stories. There is a lot going on and at times it was hard to keep track on who was who. I would have liked to see a little more character development but was still able to get a sense for what they should be.
In this book we follow three main characters who are teenagers learning their place in the world and pushing those limits. Not everything is sunshine and roses as they start trying to figure out who they are and how they fit in the world and they also look towards their futures. There are some life altering changes in store for them.
This is a thought-provoking story that I am sure a lot of YA’s will be able to relate to.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she has a new fan. I love a good country romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book from the Life Won’t Wait series and now I’m addicted. Once I started this book I was hooked to the character’s story. I could not put it down until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

I liked this book. It contains very realistic experiences that challenge these teenagers and their parents. It’s a longer book, but stick with it and enjoy the story.

Seductive Prey (Relentless #1) by Vivian Fiano. This is an amazing read. Its my favorite genre, Romantic Suspense. Its the story of Jordan Smith whose dream is to own her own Dance Studio so when she graduates High school she enlists in the Army National Guard to ensure that will happen. Grant Summers grew up with a drug addicted mom so the police were his saviors so he always knew he wanted to be a police officer. Now he’s a Boston Officer and when Jordan has a crime committed at her Studio they meet and sparks fly. They begin dating soon after and can’t get enough of each other but soon they realize they are being stalked or Jordan is anyway. This guy is so taken with Jordan he will do anything to have her including kill her. Will Grant be able to protect Jordan or will he be to late? Read Seductive Prey to find out!
This is my first time reading this author and I love every word of this story. The plotline was masterfully created. There is a message weaved into the story. It is set in a small town on the Ohio River. This gives the author some creative writing due to the rural setting. I found myself in that small town with the characters. The characters are fully developed and complex in nature Bruce Michaels is a renowned Hollywood actor, who is there because of his personal demons. Then there are Hudson, Willow, and Mason high school seniors with different backgrounds with adulthood coming very quickly. There were questions that they were looking to have answers to. Hudson lost his friends and sank into a deep depression. He finds Bruce and starts a deep friendship with him. Will this new “friendship” be a healthy one or will it send both of them into a deeper depression without a light at the end of the tunnel? I highly recommend this book. I know that I felt some similarities to the characters and it pushed me to finish this book in one sitting.

The Earl and the Peahen (The Scarlet Salon Book 5) by Jean Wilde. This is such a good read. Its a wonderful Historical Romance and part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Jane Mayfield who is as plain as her name implies. She is 25 and still not married but thinks maybe just maybe its not too late. Her mother is not good to her so when a friend offers to give her another send off she accepts. Alexander Gordon an Earl has is rich and thinks he’s got life by the tail but realizes he needs a more fulfilling life. He is as gorgeous as she is plain and he realizes she is not the most beautiful lady but being all alone is getting old and he wants a partner. A weird turn of circumstances causes them to get kidnapped together and spending that time together and working together to escape causes them to realize their true feelings for each other. Another hurdle will be after spending so much time together alone will they be forced to marry once they escape? Read The Earl and the Peahen to find out!

Another great addition to this series! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end! The twists and turn of the world were fantastic and I couldn’t put this one down. I would recommend reading these in order because they’re all fantastic and they deserve to be read! This one is more intense than the others before it but that made it even more enjoyable. Another gripping trip into the world of the 21st Century Courtesan and I was not disappointed. This is the fourth book in this series that I have read and I have to say each is just as gripping and gives me chills. I really didn’t know what to expect from this one so to see how the story turned was unexpected. I feel as though the author really brings the characters to life and I am right there in the action.
I really like how the author plays out the story and I find myself not being able to put the book down and eager to see what will happen next. I am still very uneasy with the fan but I am hoping that all will be revealed. I really find the story to be unique and lets the reader live via fantasy. I really enjoy this author and will definitely read more from them.

Wow is all I can say. This book really has some drama and really brings some attention to mental health issues. I also have to say this is the first book I have read from this author and I well I was not let down. I found that the book really brought the characters to life and grabs the reader’s attention.
I could really relate to the main characters having grown up in a small town myself. I really found the way that the author deals with the complex issues that arise during the story was quite good. I really found the author’s style to be unique and I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

This is an amazing love story, so if you love contemporary romance books then you will find yourself engrossed in this one. At least I did. It is set in the country music scene which I didn’t think I would enjoy as much as I did since I am normally more of a rocker chick. However, the author created a page turner set inside of a world I wanted to find my own self living in. The characters growth throughout the story is so good to see because it really does have a lot of real-life issues I could also relate to. This, in my opinion, always makes a story better. I have read a few other books by this author, so I know her writing draws me in on all levels. If you have never read a book written by her before I think you will find her to be a new favorite writer of yours.

Everything Somewhere by David Kummer is a well written and thought provoking coming of age story. The book is centred around three teens in the verge of adulthood and an actor whose past seems to be chasing him. I thought I was great how the author created a connection between them all, even when it seemed there really couldn’t be anything to connect them. The book really caught my attention and had me looking at things in different ways. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He takes you on a journey as the reader and it is great to explore everything the characters are feeling. There are some deeper issues covered in the book as well which adds a depth to it to make it more well rounded. This is a well written book and one certainly worth reading.

This story shows how little towns make people feel and how strangers often have similar lives even when they are from different backgrounds. On Viking Seas is the third book in the Forerunner Series by Jay Veloso Batista. I would definitely recommend starting this series from the beginning, it took me a few chapters to catch up with the story and I will definitely go back to book one to read all the bits I have missed.
As you would expect from the title, this story is packed full of adventure. There is a lot going on and the author really keeps the reader on their toes throughout by adding twists and turns along the way. I particularly enjoy that the book is based on actual historical events, and the author really shows off their Viking knowledge which adds so much detail and passion. Great read, especially if you’re looking for something a bit different.

Everything, Somewhere by David Kummer is a coming of age story set in the Ohio River Valley. What happens when high school seniors Hudson, Mason, and Willow start coming to terms with the changes occurring in their lives moving from high school to adulthood? These three are relatable teens whom many could see themselves or someone they know in them. Also, add a retired, movie actor to the sleepy town and more questions abound. I really appreciate the author hitting on some tough subjects such as mental health issues and how they can change a person’s outlook on life. It was handled well and did not hide from the truth of the matter. I enjoyed this story and the characters. I look forward to searching out more of this author’s books in the future. He brings a young vision and depth to the stories.

Okay when I first picked up the beginning of this series, 21st Century Courtesan, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had never read PS DuMond but I knew this would be right up my alley of genre and I knew I wanted to know what it held for me. I was instantly hooked and have been back for more over and over again. This, THE HUSBAND, is the fourth book in the series and I cannot stress enough how important it is to read this series from the beginning and in order. This builds like the perfect song or movie and has the ebbs and flow that will keep you wanting more and more and you read. Don’t even begin to try figuring out where Ms. DuMond will take you because she is a masterful mind and wicked with a pen, keeping you guessing and going huh? I love the characters and have gotten so completely invested in them that I feel as if they are very much real and I want to embrace them and yell at them from time to time. Queen Of My Heart is the first book in the Life Won’t Wait series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. It is a great contemporary romance novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It’s not the first time that I had read this author’s work so I knew that i was putting myself in safe hands. I have to say that I’m a sucker for a fake marriage book so was really looking forward to reading this book. Quinn and Tucker just grabbed hold of my heart straight away and kept a tight grip throughout. I loved both characters and was rooting for them to have the HEA that they both deserved. I’m also a sucker for a cute kid in a book and Tucker’s niece is totally adorable. I loved that she couldn’t say Quinn’s name so she called her Queen. A total scene stealer. One of my big passions in life, after reading, is music and I loved that this book is set in the music world. We get to see a bit of the good and the bad about life in the music world. It’s not all sunshine and roses. I really enjoyed Queen of my Heart and look forward to reading more of this series.

I loved this book! The characters were amazing! It’s not often I find a book where I love all the characters. Hannah was a sweet and strong woman who’s been through the ringer when it comes to heartbreak and Kyle hasn’t had it much better. I found the world building to be lacking a tiny bit but I think that’s because it was so focused on building the characters and their relationships with each other and that more than made up for it! If you’re looking for a quick read that’s packed with love and passion, something that you’ll find yourself smiling over while reading, this is 100% a book you should pick up!

This is full of teenage issues that many of our teenagers are experiencing. Sensitive subject matter, such as mental health and suicide, are handled in a very direct, honest, and considerate way. There are emotive moments, as well as some depressing scenes that tugged at my heart strings and made me ‘feel’. But I think that the characters needed a little more development in order for me to fully connect with them and what they were going through. The story is told from several points of view, which I found distracted from the growth and development of the characters, as well as the overall storyline- giving it a bit of a choppy feel. As this is my first read from David Kummer, I am interested in reading more of his work to see what else he can do.

First time really listening to a book, instead of actually reading, and I must say I really enjoyed it. Adeline and Stone’s story is very intriguing. She starts working for Stone as his assistant while his regular assistant is on maternity leave. She just seems to crash into Stone and from there the flashbacks begin. They feel as if they’d met before kind of a déjà vu. Then he asks her to be his fake fiancé and they start to hit it off. Both begin to have feelings for each other. I truly enjoyed listening to this book. I think I’ll try it again with another of this author’s books

I am very impressed by this author/book. Everything, Somewhere by David Kummer is a page-turner that draws you in from the first page. This book contains situations regarding mental health and hits the nail on the head. The characters jump off the page and the reader cannot help but want to follow their stories until the very end. The rural town, Little Rush, sits on the Ohio River and is one of the book’s most compelling characters because it could be any town, anywhere. Add in Bruce Michaels from Hollywood and high school senior Hudson, and it’s a formula for intrigue and revelations. The story is consistently relatable, for the situations and struggles they come up against are that which anyone could experience. The author has a way of weaving the characters’ stories together and creating such a riveting tale. I recommend this book with 5 stars, and look forward to reading more from this author.

The Earl and the Peahen is the fifth book in The Scarlet Salon series by Jean Wilde. As with the other books in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But, having said that, if you love historical romance/regency romance- then you probably won’t want to miss out on what the first four books have to offer. This is a really great historical/regency romance- about finding love unexpectedly, where opposites attract- and with plenty of banter, drama, intrigue, chemistry, tension, and more. I really enjoyed following Jane and Alexander on their ‘adventure’- watching while fate threw these two ‘opposites’ together and especially enjoyed how everything played out. As expected, the characters were really well developed- crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I found them to be quite endearing and couldn’t help but cheer them on from the sidelines. This is another really well developed story from Ms. Wilde. She crafts a rich setting for her story- full of clever and creative touches – along with authentic historical details that really help to bring her characters and story to life. Her storytelling really draws you into her ‘world’ and she easily captured and held my attention the whole way through. I wonder what she has instore for us next?
