I’ll Love You Tomorrow (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 3) by Julie Navickas. This is such a good second chance love story. Its Lauren & Mitch’s story. They have been married for a while and they are having a rough go of it lately. They have known each other since they were tiny and Lauren always said she would marry Mitch. Now that she has, she wonders if she made a mistake. Lauren opens a restaurant and pours herself into that and Mitch flips houses so he spends all his time there. When they decide to take a trip to Vegas again they realize how much they love each other and without all the “stuff” from home their problems seem small. Will they be able to work it out or will the past cause them to give up their dreams? This is a great series!

Savage Truth: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2)Savage Truth: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book and the conclusion of this story line (although there are more books in the series). You have to read the first book to be able to read this book (and the prequel would be good too but not necessary). Riley, the fmc, and Cole, the MMC, pick up where they left off in the first book with secrets and sparks. Dark truths are revealed and Riley and Cole have to decide if they will fight for each other or if the past is too much. The conclusion to this couple’s story will keep you reading!

Savage Truth: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2)Savage Truth: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a really good book! I really liked how this duology ended while still setting up some stuff that could happen in the next books in the series. I still think some of the sex scenes were weird because the main female character was still 17 but besides that I enjoyed it. The ending was very thrilling and action packed and even faster paced than the previous first half of the book. I’m glad the secrets from the prequel and the first book were finally revealed in this one. I’m excited to see where the rest of the series goes from here!

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Holy Smokes!!!!! I had to adjust my heart rate after this book for sure! This has everything that I love about this series and more….lies, blackmail, danger, banter, hot sizzling moments and hate to love between Cole and Riley.

This story picks up right after Book 1 and I totally recommend reading this series in order including the prequel, as the characters are in each book and the story really continues and takes off……you will not be disappointed.

Cole and Riley are still at each other….banter and love to hate each other….Cole feel’s like he is onto Riley and her half truths…trying to figure out “why” she is living with the Savage Family when the truth comes out between Cole’s dad and Riley’s mom….but Cole cannot keep away from Riley no matter what….he wants to hate her but he can’t. When they connect in a way that consumes each other, there is no going back. When the past comes back to haunt Riley and her mother, the danger and chaos it creates…its takes every ounce of Riley and Raelyn not to run away like they are used to to keep the Savage family safe…but will the past come back with a vengeance that puts everyone in danger? Is anyone safe?

This story is FANTASTIC! It had me at the edge of my seat…the danger and lies mixed in with the pieces of the storyline that I finally got some answers!!!!!! I am already looking forward to the next book in this series and I am all in!!

With Fire and Sword (Thunder On The Moor Book 4) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Devon Pulliam

With Fire and Sword (Thunder on the Moor, #4)With Fire and Sword by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 4 in this series and now I’m off to read the first 3! I love time travel books and this one kept me locked in. It did take me a few chapters to catch on to who is who and all the connections since I have not read the previous 3 books in the series. Also the language in which it is written slightly threw me off at first but after chapter 2 I had it down. I think this would also be a great audio book to listen to.

Will and Maggie go to the future and have to come back to help Dylan. The question is can they get back? Can they help in the past to keep both worlds from colliding? Can they make it to where the past and future are as it should be?

Pulling Together by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a fun little story. I love this author so I wasn’t surprised at how fun it was. Its the story of Lila’s grandmother knitting her a poncho but its no ordinary poncho it has 3 head holes. Lila is very confused by this but her grandmother just says “We all pull together”. When Lila wears the poncho she comes across the neighborhood bully so she finds some friends who need help and she tries to help them. Such a sweet read and my nephews truly enjoyed it. This would be a sweet gift as well. Fun for the whole family.

Small Fry by Stephenie Wilson Peterson – Review by Julie Johnson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Silas Fitzpatrick is starting his sixth grade year at Frederick Middle School. He’s heard horror stories from Grandpa about the sixth grade. Silas has a pretty optimistic attitude about sixth grade and on top of that, at a new school in a new community for him. The first day of school, he finds his way to English class to have his teacher dismiss him immediately. You see, Silas is much smaller than most kids his age due to a growth hormone issue. Things just seemed to go downhill for Silas in his sixth grade journey until he decides to run for class president. A good friend that he makes along the day comes along to save the day and his birthday!

This book evoked many emotions as I read it!! I love the relationship that Silas has with his Grandpa and the emails that they send back and forth. They had an understanding of each other that no one else had with either of them. I love the band of misfits and I understood them all too well, as I am/was a misfit! (view spoiler)[I severely disliked Chad and Kyle but the actions of the English teacher had me incredibly incensed. The nerve of that teacher!!!! ACK!!! (hide spoiler)]

This book is going to stick with me for awhile. I’m not a fan of bullying at all! The medical complexities that this young man, who is inspired by the author’s son, along with those of the Grandfather really tug at my heart. However, there is a happy ending on this one!

Wow I was blown away by this series. I couldn’t put it down. I wouldn’t put it down.

Comparable to outlander with traveling back in time heroics and romance! But taking on an entire new thrill of its own. The characters fight to restore the balance and tear is the space of time continuum.

I was on the edge of my seat awaiting the ending and I was not disappointed.

The plot is well maintained and the world building ?! FASCINATING to say the very least. Do you enjoy mystery? Romance ? Historical mixed with present this is the book for you.

Euphoric Wonderland: An Eclectic Collection of Psychedelic Poetry to Stimulate the Senses and Open the MindEuphoric Wonderland: An Eclectic Collection of Psychedelic Poetry to Stimulate the Senses and Open the Mind by Ryan M. Becker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this book, I enjoy listening to poems more than I enjoy reading them and I also don’t listen to The Beetles or do psychedelics but I saved this for me to buy a physical copy later. I would actually go back to read some of these poems again. I felt the poems were different, yes some were about the same emotions but I didn’t feel like I was reading the same poem over and over again. Some I could connect with and I believe anyone also trying to find themselves will connect with them too. My favorites were the poems about music, not focusing on certain artists but used musical terms in them. Like in “Schumann or Human You Wish That We Knew Him” the author says:
“Composer, arranger, Sonata in B Major Scribbled eighths, translates, narrates a music quake that makes you wake.”
I also loved “LGBT Earth You and Me,” I love the message of being kind and to stop all the hate. The pages themselves are all different, some colorful, some dark and some with drawings. I believe the author to be from Michigan, I didn’t Google to confirm but the reading lead me to believe it; I’m from Michigan so automatically I just think that’s cool.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) Audiobook by Liza Snow – Review by Melissa Saxton

Obedience (Ties That Bind)Obedience by Liza Snow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cassandra is young, but her life has been hard. framed with tragedy she has worked incredibly hard despite her losses to be able to audition and train with her idle Chandler in the Silks as an arielist, but she gets a lot more than she bargains for with Chandler Morrow.
Cassandra and Chandler both have lived their own share of horrific tragedy and trauma and have a lot of baggage, but the chemistry is undeniable between them, and the narration in the book makes it even better. Can these two get out of their own way and move past all the interference from everyone else to be together, or is life planning to destroy them as well. Will the secrets be too much? It appears the circus has a lot more going on than meets the eye!
The ending of this book…oh my! I can’t wait until these two finally unravel the secrets they’ve held from one another because it is going to be .. mmm more explosive than the ending of this book… if that’s possible. well done!!

I loved every bit of Riley and Cole’s story. I found myself counting the days for this book to be released to Find out just what happens.
Cole is much more than the egotistical jerk his character played.
Both Riley and Cole have tons of baggage and secrets. I mean tons!!!! Cole and Riley really did have feelings for eachother but, Cole found it hard to truly give in to his feelings aside from wanting her because he couldn’t stop thinking about what happened to allow Riley and her mom be there.
Riley is probably one of the strongest characters I’ve read about at such a young age.
The conclusion of Riley and Cole’s story is finally here and so many questions are answered! Tons of suspense…..So so good! Cannot wait to read about the rest of the Elites. Definite 5+ stars!!!

my gosh I love every one of these books in this series. Cole & Riley are so hot together. They continue fighting their connection in this book but it’s seriously chefs kiss 💋 some of the topics can be a little dark but it works well with the romance and spice in this book. Cole sure can put on a show for others when really he means the opposite. He loves Riley and he learns a lot more about her in this book just as Riley learns a lot about Cole. It’s nice not having to read about the bully girls in HS in this book too! They were terrible in the last book. But i thoroughly enjoyed these books though and I highly suggest you check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Only thing I’m disappointed about is that the book ended when I just want to read about them forever lol.

Amazing story by C.L. Schneider, when I first saw this book, I was not quite sure if this fit in my likes but a couple of chapters took me to a whole new level.
Troy is an amazing character but so much in his hands after he took The Crown of Stones in his hands. Like they always told me be careful about what you wish for, in this case, he was not careful and the past to the present and the future realms are coming after him.
Troy was not wise enough to stay away but now he sees what he wants and it is to use the power to save the realms. To continue to the 2nd book…

Towards the middle, Troy realizes that he has more scars on his body, and when he started seeking answers it leads to more secrets and more truth to his inheritance.

Wonderful! I feel like this story could have been extended longer with all the fighting, flirting, and life issues going on with Cole and Riley but, I think that is just me not wanting this series to end. I love Cole and Riley together and both of their parents made me mad with how selfish they were. The showdown with Riley’s dad finally happening was exciting and nerve wracking, and I loved every minute of this book. The characters are all either very love-able or very hate-able which gave the story so much more!

This is the first book I had read by this author and I can wholeheartedly say it will not be the last.
I found the characters very intriguing and diverse, and their development was well written, and the world they live and work in is described to the point I could see myself there.
Different races seem to have evolved, from the Undying, those that are in effect immortal, though there are very few left and many are looking for humans or others of their type to increase their numbers. The shape shifters those who resemble werewolves when in their beastly form. And obvious the humans.
Terran works as a public prosecutor after the death of his father instead of taking on the family business (unless in his other form, reaping vengeance).
Seth is a property mogul of types, I suppose he has gathered a lot of experience in his many years of life..
Kaela, adopted daughter of a doctor has her own magic but knows nothing of the others in her neighbourhood; caught literally in the wrong place and time she is rescued by the beast, and has already caught the attention of one immortal.
Death threats, loss of evidence, finding long lost gems, life is certainly looking interesting for all 3 of the main characters. I am really super excited to read the following book.

While I am a fan of fantasy books it has been a while since I have been completely immersed in one. These books have all been great from start to finish. Don’t get deterred from seeing how many chapters there are because you will be disappointed once there are no more pages to read, you won’t want to the story to end. So in this third and final installment we have losses and victories. His father wants to rule over all as the newly self-appointed Emperor. While he tries to find out the secrets of his people, the Shinree, he continues to add scars to his body every time he uses his magic. In the end he finds that in order to defeat his father he must destroy the Crown of Stones. But what will it cost? I didn’t want to see this series come to and end, but I was NOT disappointed. I was happy to have been put onto this series and I will definitely be re-reading them when I am in need of some entertaining reading.

The third book in an epic fantasy series. Just like the first two, I didn’t want to put this book down. The world, the characters, the action, everything was very well written. Rarely does a sequel live up to the first book, but both the second and the third not only did that, but surpassed it. The only complaint I had was that it ended.

This is the final book in Ian Troy’s journey. You definitely have to read the first 2 books to know what is happening.

The story is action-packed and deals with a lot of heavy topics. The writing was well done and there were times of laughter but also ones that made my heart hurt.

I’m not sure the conclusion was what I wanted, but it left me curious what the author will be doing next in this world!
