Even though this book is 85 pages, it’s full of knowledge about planning and kid-friendly which I greatly appreciated. Honestly, it couldn’t come at a better time cause I want to peel and ween my oldest son at 9 away from tablets, YouTube, and his game or being inside all the time. But yes, he and I now both enjoy gardening together to create a better bond. Also, I love, as a Taurs, (Earth sign) grounding myself into the Earth. To watch and experience things grow in front of your very eyes after laboring over it, you’ll fall in love with its growth and the peace of mind you get from it and your kids will enjoy the process plus never forgetting what they’ve learned with a sense of achievement under their belt. Here’s to that!

Secrets of the Moon is a werewolf-fated mates story. The Rousseaus pack has just moved to Wolf Creek Hollow where there are rumors of an ancient wolf bloodline that may be able to rid one of their own of a bloodlust mutation. Kyran is the wolf member with this mutation and is working with his siblings to find a cure. They decide to enroll in the local college to fit in and try to get answers about who this person could be. Many packs are living in the area, but there is no mistaking that he believes he finds the one, she just also happens to be his mate and human. Wolves and humans don’t mate so he is confused about how this could be happening.
Marjorie, the young girl who grew up in this area, is trying to get back to normal life after a severe car accident with friends a year before. When meeting Kyran for the first time, she also feels this pull, but she doesn’t understand why. She starts to recognize many strange things start to happen around her. She is warned to stay away from this new family because of their “history”, but she just sees it as jealousy. She comes to also have a similar “mated” feeling with Kyran’s twin Alexis. As she navigates these awkward feelings, she learns the truth which she is having a hard time handling. Will she be able to trust them, what does this bond mean, and what does this mean for her future? I thought the story was a little different compared to your normal werewolf tale. I liked the male characters, they were charming, honest, and a little scary, but protective and seemed to want to prove that they were worthy of being there. Marjorie, on the other hand, was an okay character. I feel there were times when she really needed to get over herself, especially when she had most of the answers in front of her. In addition, I thought the writing of the author was strange at times. I don’t know how to really explain it, but there seemed to be missing moments where I had to stop and think about why they weren’t talking about something or why they were talking about it at that moment. This is part one of the Chronicles of the Lost Clan series and the first book left many questions unanswered.

5 Stars The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler
The Closer is the third book in The Hustlers Trilogy and is a wonderfully written Enemies to Lover’s Dark Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. I literally devoured this book in one afternoon because I simply had to know what was going to happen next. This can be read as a standalone but I’d recommend reading this series in order as each book is so good. This story is packed with drama, secrets, explosive chemistry, action , romance and plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. June and Dallas, she’s in desperate need of help when a scandal strikes . Once the investors catch wind they slowly start to back out which leaves June in a situation she didn’t want to be in. Dallas is a business man who gets what he wants when he wants it. He doesn’t take no for an answer. These two have a history and their chemistry is off the charts. Can she save her company without destroying her heart in the process? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This emotional rollercoaster will have you guessing until the end. There were lots of twists and turns. I was there for them all. This author managed to bring back all the characters from the series and wrap it up nicely.
When June is at her wits end, she decides her only choice is her nemesis. June chooses to approach Dallas, the biggest, wealthiest, and cockiest venture capitalist in the business. They have had a checkered past. It leads them to this moment in time. June needing help, Dallas looking for his next big success.
Dallas accidently links their lives together with one invitation. In such a short time, Dallas and June become so much more than business partners. Not giving any details, can’t give it away.
The author rips your heart out and then puts it back with love and care. Read this book. Read this series. Beautifully written.

Meg Hawk has known her neighbors the Kinkades, ever since she spent her summers with her grandmother at the family’s ranch in Herd, Montana. She loved the ranch life and how friendly the Kinkade family was with the Hawk family. The only one that seemed to dislike Meg was Ryan Kinkade, the quiet silent type even as a kid. Ryan seemed to consider Meg a pest who talked too much. Meg decides to move to Herd permanently after her grandmother died. Meg is living in the Hawk home she loved so much as a child that has fond memories of her time with her grandmother. Meg opens a store in town called Finders Keepers selling antiques. Unfortunately, Meg seems to still be considered a pest by Ryan. When Hank Kinkade, Ryan’s grandfather, asks Meg to help him with a project, she’s happy to help but Ryan isn’t happy and lashes out to Meg like he has since childhood. Will Hank’s project help Ryan and Meg find a way to be friends or more? I enjoyed reading the story and appreciated the wholesome story. The author did a great job creating the town of Herd and the characters. With all the extra town folks mentioned I’m sure the next book in the series will be fun to read.
Chasing Cheer, and fell in love with Emerald Hollow. Super happy to bet back there. The first book focused on Holly and Ash. This one focused on Sofia and Isaiah. There are a few twist and unexpected surprises in this story. I’m super excited for the next installment. If you want a feel good love story, this is the series for you. 5⭐️

I’ve read every book in this series so far and I was beginning to wonder if the author was ever going to give Jake a redemption story. The Changed Man is finally that story. I felt for Jake in book 1 even though he was essentially one of the villains of the story. The author has introduced the reader into a wonderful world with many different characters. These books are a series best read in consecutive order. However they can be read as standalone novels too. Dealing with the death of a friend(who now lives in his head) in front of his eyes Jake upends his life. Resigning from his job. Reuniting with his family, especially his twin Joe. Jake is trying to find himself, and he feels his writing is the best route to go. Having written a book featured on the NY Times bestseller list that’s also in talks to become a movie he feels this is the right way to go. Though he knows mom would never approve, hence his pen name. Along the way he meets Chiara who happens to be the guardian of his brother’s son, and she’s married. Though he can’t keep his eyes off of her. He wants her despite the obstacles and things between them do get close and dicey. He also has to deal with a habitual flirt when the actor who he wants to be the star in his movie shows up out of the blue. Will Jake prove he’s a changed man? What will happen between him and Chiara? Will the impact of losing his friend be his downfall? So many questions come up throughout this story. But again I will say I’m glad he finally got his story. And it’s probably my favorite book thus far.

Sugar & Spice was different. It was good but different from most romance novels I’ve read. The author gives you a fresh take on a story we’ve read before, well at least the romance part. Forced to go undercover, Cy/Marcus starts his new job in the bakery of his family’s amusement park Sweetopia. There’s rumblings of employees gathering together to strike and boycott the park and his family wants to know who so they can be silenced. All Cy wants to do is travel and wants no parts of the family business. Unfortunately for him what he didn’t expect was 1 Jolie. And 2 what this undercover boss task does for him in the long run. Jolie is a single mom with a terminally ill son who feels the Sweet family treats their employees unfairly and the benefits suck. She intends to do something about it. However when she meets Marcus he’s the curveball she didn’t expect. She had no intentions of having a man in her life. Her focus was her sons and getting fair compensation for her and her coworkers. Will Jolie find out who Marcus really is? Will the park employees follow through with their plans? Does Cy stay loyal to his parents? Lots of questions with many interesting answers and conclusions. It’s a promising start to a potential new series.
Charlotte’s Control took me by complete surprise! Not having read anything by Maggie Sims previously, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This historical romance is centered around William and Charlotte and has just the right amount of spice! Set in a time where women had very little control over their own lives, Charlotte shows William how freeing relinquishing control to another can actually be. Their relationship is so much more than physical. Despite their age difference, William and Charlotte exchange ideas, have intelligent discussions, and revel in the other’s company. There is so much more emotion in this book than I was expecting. Maggie Sims’s characters are so unique and realistic while the world building made me feel like I was riding along in the carriage with them, attending balls, and helping manage the estates. What a great, unexpected read by a “new-to-me” author I can’t wait to read more from.

So much mystery. This is my third new author for the month of April and so far, my favorite. The world Kellie Wallace builds is one of reality and possibilities. Main female character Elsbeth is intriguing and inspiring. Elsbeth feels at peace in nature and when she finishes renovating essentially her dream home everything begins to end and begin at the same time. Her boyfriend of three years had never been faithful with her and yet she held on to the hope until he proposed the night, she found proof, and a light went off and she was done. She began to take back her life, her independence and a call from her mom gave her everything she needed to move forward. Great-aunt Lorraine had passed away, she had a remote island off the coast of Guernsey and was the opportunity she needed to, as her daddy said, fly and be free. But quickly she begins to see the flaws in her hope and the light when Bishop appears in the middle of the night at her door. Can Elsbeth help Bishop discover his past? Will Elsbeth be able to solve the mysteries of her new island before it becomes too much? How can she move forward when everything is said and done? Everything about this book pulls you in and fills you with the mystery and emotions of the characters as you hope for Elsbeth to get everything she deserves and more. Cannot wait to read more by this incredible author.

This was an enjoyable read. The author did a great job building the characters and. Elsbeth’s journey was full of twists and turns. This story had romance, suspense, paranormal, family and more. Even though there were many elements going on in this book the author did a good job bringing all together so that I became invested in the outcome. I found myself rooting for Elsbeth to find happiness and. There are a lot of emotions, grief, love, forgiveness, happiness. I could feel the ups and downs of the characters’ emotions as they went through them. It was hard to put this book down once I started. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m glad I took a chance on it. I recommend this book.

The way these two fight their feelings made me chuckle…and want to knock their heads together! There was great character growth throughout the story and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow along the way. There were some steamy scenes scattered along the way that left no doubt that these two were compatible between the sheets! Overall, a good story that I enjoyed reading!

Charming Chapter is the first book I’ve read by this author but I am excited to explore what the Boomer Babes Bookclub series has in store for us later. This is a shorter book than I’ve been reading as of late which was a great selling point for me, even though I felt the storyline was a bit slow. I enjoyed the characters, especially Hugh, he had me charmed by the very first meeting. I enjoyed the change of pace with a later in life romance, and really did enjoy the book overall.

Porter and Midge Paws and Responsibilities is the first book I’ve read by this author. My seven year old daughter was delighted to see there were more books listed at the end of this one. We enjoyed the book and I felt it flowed very well. She was able to read a good majority with some assistance by me without a ton of frustration which is always great. Her favorite part was “seeing” the dog be groomed and learning about caring for a pet in that capacity. We will be reading more Porter and Midge in the near future.

I was drawn to this book by the gorgeous cover, and once I read the synopsis knew I had to pick it up! I enjoyed that this was a little longer than most of the books I’ve read lately as I typically feel that it ends too soon. The stories in the paranormal & young adult romance genre can blend together and feel a little ‘been there done that,’ but the author really found some unique perspective to add here! The chemistry between Marjorie and Kyran is undeniable, and the tension kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. I am now pulling up other books by this author because I need more of her writing in my life! I did not see some of the twists coming and loved every turn I was thrown. This was my first book by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly blown away with how quickly I was absorbed into Elsbeth’s world. She is an incredibly relatable character that goes through such traumatic events, but somehow has an impossible resolve. All of the characters had in-depth development, and the flow of the story was great. This author has an amazing talent to craft a story that stands out as unique in a very competitive genre. Get ready for the twists and turns that you won’t see coming and experiencing every emotion possible throughout this book. If you love paranormal romances, then this should be your next read without a doubt!

I absolutely loved getting to go back to Emerald Hollow and getting to learn more about Sofia, who I thought was an interesting character from the first book, so I was excited to see her take center stage in her own story! I did still love that we got to peek in and see how Holly and Ash are doing, as well as Holly’s digging into the ancient secrets of the town. Sophia and Isaiah are such a cute pair, even as Sophia is concerned he is a con artist, she is still extremely attracted and drawn to him. I loved the split POV’s so we can see what each of the characters are thinking and feeling. The author continues to bring magic in her writing and I am hoping there is a few more stories left to be shared from Emerald Hollow. This is a very cute series and while you could read book 2 standalone, it will make a lot more sense to start with the first book.
This book was an absolute must read, I really enjoyed the aspect of the whole romance fantasy mixed in together. This book grabbed me from the beginning, and I couldn’t stop till I read the whole thing.it was very engaging and packed with so much from one page to the next. It was very hard to put it down, I really felt like I was really in the story it was so well written that I feel lie I was there with the characters and watching everything happen. It had everything from romance, werewolves, danger, action, suspense, and so much more, it was so gripping. The characters were so amazingly written hat I felt like I really know who each and everyone of them were. The back stories on each were something that I really enjoyed learning. This book was incredible I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next one.

Regardless if it is one of her younger children picture books or the shorter chapter books for school age children, the author does a great job immersing her readings in a world full of vivid description and imagination. She created imaginative characters that you will not forget! Timmy, Arthur, and Beth are wonderful characters, who are inquisitive and up to help solve a mystery. Of course my favorite was Mrs. Vance’s dog Cody. A sweet and extremely intelligent pup who can talk in Morse code, track, and even tell your fortune! The kids all have to work together to solve a century old mystery within a certain amount of time if they want to win the prize. Definitely a great book for school age children, especially with the puzzles and codes to make it more engaging for readers.

Kris & The Pirates is part of The Adventures of Kris series and what a delightful and fun read. This is a chapter book for ages 6-10 that is full of fun, adventure, sailors, pirates and animals. This story can be enjoyed even for the young at heart. I am already looking forward to more Adventures with Kris.
Kris is not loving the idea of having to go to a costume party….especially when it is in the month of March!! As her dad asks if she would like to dress up as a pirate..Kris only wants to be a knight. As she opens up her book to read and relax she is pulled into a story of sailing the high seas as a sailor. When Kris and her friend James spot land they want to explore and go swimming. When things do not go as planned and pirates take capture of all of Kris’ sailor friends…she embarks on a journey of adventure trying to help free the sailors…meeting new animal friends and helps Kris think how they can help…. will Kris be able to free all her sailor friends from the pirates?

I really love finding new authors as well as a new series. I absolutely love werewolf romances and this definitely hit the spot. I like how the author is able to bring the characters to life and grab the reader by the shirt tales. I really was unable to put this book down. The author is able to weave a story and has a unique twist to it. It was definitely a breath of fresh air for me. The romance is evened out with a bit of drama. The characters are also very relatable and well written. I felt as though I was right there with them and look forward to seeing how this series unfolds. I will definitely be reading more from this author and series in the future.

This is a well-written story, with all the twists and turns that give you all the feels. I love June and her connection with Dallas intrigues me. The story keeps your interest held tight and you really do not want to put the book down. I became so attached to these characters and I need more.
