Amese of Animalis is the first book in The Borosa Legacy Series and is children’s fantasy that is aimed for children ages 10-14 years old. As Amese steps up to become guardian she takes is on an epic adventure. Along the way she turns into different animals. I love that there is a lesson to be learned and that is telling the truth. I enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend reading it to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Touched is Book 1 in the Elemental Passions series and I am just amazed that 10 authors completed this story together. It is just one story, having it all come together by multiple talented authors truly amazed me. The story was fantastic weaving a blend of Fae, magic, forbidden love, secrets, suspense, fantasy and romance. I cannot wait to see where this series takes me….I am totally intrigued.

What can possibly happen when you see through a Fae’s glamour? Detective Callum LeBlanc finds out on the streets of New Orleans…mesmerized by a beauty that he cannot stop thinking about. Aeris loves visiting among humans…but uses glamour so she is not noticed as a shield to protect herself and her Fae family. When Callum sees though her glamour…something is amiss. Humans are not supposed to see Fae when they have their glamour hiding them. The sparks ignite between them..there is something between them that is undeniable. Aeris knows the attraction between her and Callum is forbidden including even talking or being among humans….

Who doesn’t love a book about unicorns? I know the girls are obsessed and loved this adorable book about Stega the unicorn. She was invited to a party. She picked some blueberries to bring as a gift for Benny but ate the whole bowl. She then picked a bowl of walnuts and ate them too. Finally she spotted a beehive and got a bowl of honey but that didn’t make it to Benny’s either. By the time she arrived at Benny’s cave, her belly was rumbling and so she pooped right outside his door. It wasn’t an ordinary poop though….it was Unicorn poop. Loved the colorful pictures and the girls ( ages 2 & 4 ) loved the book

Breaking Apart (Finnerty and Liccione Mystery Series) by Wanda Venters, MD and Mary Rae, MD. This is such a good 2nd book in the Finnerty and Liccione Mystery series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get a better understanding of the characters. This is a very good book on a very serious subject, our veterans and the lack of health/mental care they receive. After one of the vets completes suicide, his wife just refuses to believe he would do that. After digging into the matter two doctors look into the very violent death of this solider and what they discover is heartbreaking. There is prescription scam that is so ugly involving a very bad drug that finds very important people trying to keep this under wraps. The Dr’s themselves may be in danger. Such a tragic and sad story about the very people who risk their lives for our country. They certainly deserve better. Will the soldiers family find peace with the news the Doctors uncover?

Rhapsody in Black: An Elena del Carral Mystery (Rhapsody In… Series, Book 1) by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one. Its full of mystery, intrigue, murder and suspense. Its the story of Elena who has been asked by Derek Michaels to dance at a Gala event at the Terpsichore Ballet in New York City. She has also been invited to try out for the Black Rhapsody ballet that is by the famous Rene Fauchier and its such an honor. Elena accepts the invitation knowing that it will only increase her success as a dancer and her dream of being a choreographer. Elena does have a secret that is linked to the Black Rhapsody and it could come back and ruin everything. This book reminds us that Ballet is not only beautiful but it has a dangerous side and when Elena’s secret comes back to haunt her their could be murder, deceit and danger. Such a fun suspenseful mystery set in the gorgeous world of ballet.

I don’t usually read the fantasy genre, but I’m glad I chose to read this book! The book is long, but it’s so entertaining, it had me reading as quickly as possible to see what happened next. I love Aeris. She is glamorous, yet independent and capable. I could relate to her character – wanting independence, but still caring very much what her family thinks of her. Callum is a brave gentleman and wonderful leader. He does well to balance Aeris’s characteristics. I was amused by his learning fae culture, as I was learning while reading this book, as well. Aeris and Callum together bring passion to this fae-human romance. I feel the authors did a great job building the relationship between the two characters, from the first time they met, throughout the ending of this book. It is book one in a series that is not yet finished. I’m excited to read book #2!

From the moment I started reading I found this book to be highly enjoyable. I thought the author did a great job of creating relatable and engaging characters. they had a really strong connection from the start and Katie was the perfect addition to the story. for me, the author captured her, and her emotions so accurately.
The story was well written and I thought the pacing of the story was really good. The author knew how to move the book on and keep it progressing without sacrificing anything that was happening. I thought the book was a great story overall and it is one I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.

She thinks things are going great with him until she gets a chance to go to Paris on scholarship. While in Paris she meets Chase a handsome Parisian that helps at his family’s vineyard. Could this be the relationship she is looking for? But after her time in Paris she decides to move to New York for job opportunities. She is now 30 and the youngest VP of her company. However on her thirtieth birthday she is hit by a bike rider while trying to protect her mother and breaks her arm at her elbow. She runs into said bike rider three weeks later at the coffee shop and her friend Kim gives him her information and tells him to message her and she will make sure she replies. This could possibly be the start of a great relationship.

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups series by the delightful duo Sylvie Stewart and Marika Ray. The first book Hot Flashes and Hockey Slashes started out with a bang and this one is just as good. I suggest you read them in order, so you don’t miss out on anything.
This light-hearted and fun Romantic Comedy is a love hate sports romance with witty banter leaving you laughing out loud at the antics and banter. These characters just cracked me up.
Banks Bennet is at it again and has a reputation a mile wide. What’s new! Kaitlyn is driven to succeed in a male dominated arena and finds herself between hot flushes and mood swings and one frustrating male. Well actually make that two because she wants to prove something to her boss.
The heartwarming tale has quirky characters who are to die for, and the chemistry and heat is turned way up.

Finding Cheer was cute. The story itself was good. A tad slow at the beginning for me, but I still kept at it which made it worth it. The author brings the reader back to Emerald Hollow, to see another character get a whirlwind story.
Sofia was out fulfilling a New Years Eve tradition when she stumbled across an unconscious man. A man that would change her life. But not before her suspicions are raised. See the man knows his name but doesn’t remember anything else & he’s not injured. So what happened?
At first she feels the need to keep an eye on him.
And eventually feelings developed making for an interesting story.
Isaiah literally stumbles into the laps of those in Emerald Hollow. He knows his name but doesn’t know who he is. Hoping and trying to see if someone is looking for him. He adapts to life as he currently knows it. Helping out at Emerald House is the least he could do for Ash’s trouble. Sofia thought perks his interest and as much as he wants to know he better he knows she is skeptical of him.
Will she let him in?
This story is told from the point of view of Ash, Holly, Isaiah and mainly Sofia. But despite that it’s Isaiah and Sofia’s story. Holly and Ash as supporting characters this time around. Though I can’t say that Holly might have some influence on the story. But you will just have to read to confirm or deny it. Hope you enjoy!!

Parent Readers Beware- Your kiddo will likely ask to foster kitten by the end of Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens. I read this book with my 8 year old, and that was his first question, followed by disappointment when mom said no. We have read a couple of books in the series, and always love them. They are great learning tools, but perhaps I should not have chosen this particular topic lol. The illustrations are great- colorful and assist the story. Oscar and Emmy are the cats belonging to twins Abby and Charlie. Their family volunteers at the cat shelter, then decide to step it up a notch and foster a litter of newborn kittens. We are taken through the adventure, learning a little about the process and the growth and development of the kittens. I love that the book addresses the topic of “foster fails” and their mother had an excellent response when asked about keeping them.

The Better Man: Silver Buckle Brides, Book 2 (A Silver Buckle Brides Romance)

This was a sweet romance with some tragedy thrown in. Laramee is home for the first time in several years after an incredibly tragic event happen in her life. She ran to get as far as possible from the pain.

Jamie is a good guy through and through. You see it at the very beginning and the more you get to know him the more you learn and realize this is how he really is.

The little things made this story quite enjoyable and kept me engaged the entire time. Hope to read the rest of this series once released.

The Better Man is another case of don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I debated for a while on whether I wanted to read this book. The description sounded good, but the cover reminds me of western romance books- which I am not a fan of. Overall, I really liked the book. There is a chapter in the second half that got a little too “God-ly” for me, but I enjoyed it. It is a little unclear if its book 1 or 2, because A has it listed as both…. but either way, I would read the other in the series. The story focuses on Laramee and Jamie as they work on Laramee’s family ranch for a week. Her parents are debating selling or keeping it, and have hired Jamie’s firm to do the evaluation and estimate. The story has some ups and downs, and both main characters have some high emotion pasts. We slowly learn more about them, as they are getting to know each other. I love their characters and enjoyed the ended (even though I saw it coming from a mile away).

Beyond being your typical paranormal romance, this book – the first in what promises to be an intriguing series – has elements of adventure, mystery, and action. I’m floored that this book was written by so many people! The writing is great and united, you’d never be able to tell that more than one person wrote it. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I think this is my favorite Lois Wickstrom book that I’ve read so far! Many of her books are among my favorites but this one really stands out.

Using the premise of critical thinking and strategy, this is the story of two kingdoms. One has sheep, another a lion. The kings want to be friends but the lion keeps getting the sheep. It takes a brave girl named Wynnie to make a difference in the lives of those in the kingdom. Patience and persistence do pay off!

This is such a great book to read to and to have read to you! I highly recommend this one for all ages! The illustrations are also very well done in this story!

Sometimes second chance loves are often better than the first. Texas Winds totally blew me away (pun intended)! Dana Wayne is a first time author for me so I was unsure what to expect. But, the amazing attraction and slow-burn romance to an all-out inferno between Jake and Lexie was just what I needed! The beautiful Texas ranch, complete with wooded land and cabins on the lake create a breathtaking backdrop to this well-written story. Jake, Lexie, Katie and many other characters are realistic, flawed, believable, and oh-so-lovable. I couldn’t help but feel connected to the characters and found myself cheering for the romance between Lexie and Jake. And Biscuit just makes the whole book that much better! The city dog who loves being a ranch dog! There is love, romance, drama, heartache, loss, guilt, and so much more in this book that it kept me on my toes and reading well past bedtime. This is definitely not the last time I pick up a book by Dana Wayne!

I was intrigued when I heard about this book. Aeris is fae and she’s a rule breaker because she’s so curious about everything. She is especially curious about humans. Aeris enjoys reading human romance novels. She has been told not to venture into the human world but she feels safe because they can’t see her. That all changes when she literally bumps into detective Callum and he’s able to see her. Calum doesn’t have any knowledge of the mythical world he lives in. Later in the story Callum finds out that he’s sylph, which is how he’s able to see Aeris. There is chemistry right away between these two. This book is full of fae, trolls, sylph, Werewolves, romance, drama, danger, suspense, fantasy, and great characters. I don’t want to say anything more to give anything away, I will just say that this is a must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I know that each book will give me more information about the past between all of them. I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely could not put this book down once I started it! It is an extremely well written medical crime drama that hooks you immediately and keeps you reading until the very last page. I did not originally realize it was the second book in the series, so I will be going back and reading book 1 to get more background on the characters and see more details from the first mystery. I thought that they did an excellent job in exploring the mental health system in conjunction with our Veterans and the complex issues they are facing daily. They created memorable characters that are relatable, these are people you feel like you could meet in your daily life. They definitely delve into the medical side of things, but not detailed that if you were not a medical staff you couldn’t follow or understand. The authors did a great job of creating a story that is complex and dealing with so many pieces, death, mental illness, drug abuse, Veterans, and cover ups along the way. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a well written crime novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat as Finnerty and Liccione methodically make their way through the case.

Touched: Elemental Passions is a fantasy story about a fairy named Aeris. Aeris is adventurous and loves pushing boundaries to be in the human world. While she knows it is not always safe, she is fascinated by the human world. One day, while she snuck out, a human ends up being able to see through her glamour. This human is a detective named Callum. Callum and Aeris are immediately drawn to each other but don’t understand how or why. Callum is on a big case and things are getting weird, and not just because he can’t stop thinking about Aeris and what she is. The two of them realize that they are destined to be together and try to figure out what all this means. However, simultaneously, the two worlds are in danger and there is a batter brewing. The only people thought to be able to stop this is Aeris and Callum, but how? Will they be able to fight together, figure out what is going on, and also be allowed to be together?
This was a good book. I thought both characters were interesting. The storyline itself was fast-moving. I enjoyed how the fantasy world and the human world collided together. This is only the first book in the series, so I am sure I will go on to read the others to find out what will happen with this couple and their story.

With so many authors working on this story, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was impressed with how well it was put together.
There was a lot going on in this book, and I did feel that some of it could have been stretched out into other books to help with the pacing, but you can still follow it pretty well.
I loved the Aeris character, how she’s curious and isn’t afraid to break the rules to satisfy her thirst for adventure.
This story has a little of everything – drama, danger, tons of paranormal/fantasy beings, a prophecy, forbidden romance, and more!

I really enjoyed this book and the plot surrounding real relatable people and situations, such as our struggling vets, the medical personnel who are focused on helping them through their many struggles after serving our country, the stigma behind admitting you need mental health assist, the struggle medical professionals often face when trying to reduce the amount of suicides of our beloved vets and the impact this has on everyone, including the professionals themselves.

From the very beginning, I found myself intrigued and invested in this story. The characters are relatable and created beautifully. The real life struggles within the book like PTSD and drug addiction also made this more believable. The mysterious plot had me questioning everyone involved and the twist at the end left me shocked.

Overall I found this book quite. Impelling and although some might find some of these topics disturbing, the real life aspect could also create an eye opening experience for others.

Although this is a work of fiction, you can clearly see that both authors did their homework and/or used real life medical experience and expertise when creating this mystery. I highly recommend reading this book.

Drag Me Down is the fourth book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs Series and is a Sci-Fi Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end . I’ve read several books by this author but this one may be my favorite yet. This is packed with action, gangs, fast cars, suspense, revenge and so much more. Get ready to be taken on a fast paced thrilling ride as we dive into Drag and Bridget’s story. Drag has been left for dead after being beaten but now he’s out for sweet revenge. Bridget does what needs to be done .These two live hard and drive fast cars and the chemistry/ sexual tension between is off the charts but oh so good. I highly recommend reading this book to find out happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I’m so happy that Oren is the focus of this story. I was curious to what powers the demon hunters have. I was also curious to see how Oren’s and Tievel’s relationship would work. Larkspur is a hoot! I cannot wait to see what other beings we are introduced to in the next story.

This was a good 5 star read. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Jake’s world was turned upside down in many heartbreaking ways when his wife was in an accident. Lexi has also had her heart broken and is trying to move forward. When these two meet you can feel the instant connection. Will they let their walls down and let love in?
Overall this was a great read. I really like it when an author writes in dual POV. We get several twists and turns that added a great element to the story. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

Perfect was a fun and well written book. Chloe is a college student still trying to figure out her life and what she wants. We see her go through several relationships as she tries to navigate this thing called life. Some relationships are good and some not so good. Although at first I found it a bit odd to have the story broken up into parts it made sense as the story progressed. This was a fast paced yet enjoyable book that can be read as a standalone.
